Riad Dar Nimbus is a wonderful place to stay. My only criticism is that there is no sign outside the alley and it was a bit hard to find.

A quiet refuge in a sometime challenging city. Beautiful rooftop decks. Very helpful staff. Lots of hot water in the shower!

This Riad is a little bit of paradise. The staff were excellent and rescued us twice when we became lost in the Medina. The room was the very nice with windows and a french door that opened to a wonderful rooftop terrace.

Comfortable place located within a long walk of the main square in Marrakech. The communal areas of the riad were very good, but the bedroom itself was small and in need of maintenance. Seemed like it had seen better days...

Homely Riad, Great Friendly Staff!

Riad is comfortable, location has a very local feel, not many tourists and only 15-20 mins walk to Medina centre. Free WIFI not the best, however we were out every day so did not make a fuss. The staff are the best attributes and we recommend having dinner prepared by the Riad since we found that their meal was one of the best tasting we had in Marrakech! Also, best to book an airport transfer with Riad as it is not easily found if not familiar with area.

Peaceful Riad great for relaxation

We spent 3 nights recently at this Riad. This cannot be beaten for helpful staff, peaceful/cool, relaxing interior. Great welcome - met at Airport with luxury car, staff in uniform guided us safely to the Riad down a maze of streets. Traditional interior, old (beamed) building. Nice courtyard with useable pool, tortoises on the grass, lovely upper terraces with views of palm trees. Perfect if you just want to relax and not go out. Near Majorelle Gardens in the New Town (20 min walk). Extremely helpful staff - tea served in separate sitting rooms with good wifi and excellent sofas etc. However if you are someone who wants to be in the "buzz" of the centre of Marrakesh near souks, markets, people, Jmaa n fna etc, then may be too far away as is a 20-25 minute walk down quite maze like streets to get to the "action". There is one good restaurant nearby (Limona) - hopefully more will spring up as this is a little pricey. We ended up taking a 5 min walk to the "Petit Taxi Rank" at the Bab Targzout to take low cost £2 taxis to the centre of the town around the edge of the Medina - and would recommend this as the best way to get around from this Riad.

A quite place in a lively, interesting part of tow

Really it's a boutique hotel just masquerading as a b&b. Tucked away in a corner of the Medina I wasn't sure if I could find it but the staff came to where I was and brought me to the hotel pointing out landmarks along the way. A real find! Highly recommended

In the heart of Madina

Nice Riad. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is just ok. Dinner was good but too expensive for what it was. €15 per person.

Excellent and would likely stay again

Staff were excellent and went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as enjoyable. Mohammed helped me arrange a desert tour and I even got room upgrade after return from desert tour.

oasis paradise in medina

Small paradise in medina: spacious room, 2 outside pools, nice garden and roof terrace. friendly and welcoming staff. spa directly in riad. it was like entering paradise when we opened entrance door from medina. we totally enjoyed our stay here. main square about 30min walk through small medina streets. car parking 4min away.

The one-stop Riad in the old part of Marrakech

This Riad has everything a traveller needs: comfortable and clean accommodation, beautiful and rustic food, wonderful in-house hammam and spa, gorgeous multi-level roof Terrence where you can also find a secluded corner, and the friendliest staff.

Amazing! Beautiful Riad

I couldn't speak more highly about this Riad. It was absolutely beautiful. You come out of the medina into a sanctuary. There are two courtyards with rooms around each. It was full the whole time we were there but as there were so many little corners to sit in, we felt we were the only people there. It's like walking into another secret world. We sunbathed quite a bit and there were different roof terraces so you were always in a different area. This didn't really matter as again we seemed to be the only people there. The staff are absolutely amazing. I loved how personal the service was. There was no signing or paying if you needed a drink, everything was settled at the end without even having to say which room you were in. It's in the perfect location. We spent equal time in the medina and the new town and it was ideal to walk to both or to get taxis. The area seemed really safe. The Riad was probably the safest I've ever felt as only guests had access. You could probably have left your door unlocked and it would have been fine. The only negative I would say was that the shower could be a bit temperamental. If I go back to marrakech this is the only place I would stay.

Riad was beautiful, spacious and clean . Plenty of space and comfortable areas to rest and relax. We arrived way before booking in time but as rooms were ready were able to move into immediately. Made use of the pickup service from airport, on your webste reported cost stated was for round trip, told that was not so by manager. Also all prices are stated in Euros but the bill is then converted to local currency and if you pay by credit card a 3% surcharge is added. We chose to eat the evening meals at the Riad, the best one being the result of the cooking lesson. It is incredibly hard to find and despite the map we were given managed to get hopelessly lost. The use of a guide to go shopping in the souks, visit museum etc was invaluable. This was arranged through the hotel as were other trips out. The staff were friendly and even when arriving late for meal, dinner was still provided.

Great stay in Marrakech!

We had a wonderful stay at this riad. We arrived to our booked airport pickup, it was 120dh, a good price and you also get personally met and then escorted the last 500m by foot to the hotel. We had dinner for 15euro - the food is incredible, 3 courses of so of the most delicious food weve eaten! On arrival the manager met us, he is constantly available and helpful, he gave us a map and then escorted us to the start of the souks, then he sees if you can get back! but it is easy. there are also a few dairy's close by to buy water etc. The riad is approx 20min from the big square, best seen from 7pm on as it fills up - you will be hustled with fun, although if you photograph entertainers you will have to pay a few dirham. keep change for this and tips at food stalls as the price is the advertised plus 20dh for starters and a tip The nimbus was very clean and comfortable, air conditioned, wifi, great breakfast although not GF.many nooks to relax. The only downside was that a group came so we were moved next door to the other riad where the best was not as comfy or clean and the aircon not as good, but it was our last night so it was ok. breakfast etc and payment was still the same Definitely book a hamman, its upstairs and its alot cheaper than the other ones, local ones are cheap but DIY.for 10euro i had a sauna (very hot) then was washed with the soap and scrubbed i felt amazing! let them know in advance so they can heat it up. a wonderful stay in all and great value! thanks!

Riad Dar Nimbus - Great Find

Such a Beautiful find, we stayed for two nights in the Riad and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riad Dar Nimbus. The room and bathroom were a great size, well kept, clean and nice interior design. There was a lovely roof top which we spent hours relaxing in the sun. Food was excellent!! We ate dinner both nights in the Riad and enjoyed both meals so much, amazingly cooked meals! We found it difficult being two girls without a male present to walk around the old town. Everyone is very friendly in the Riad and looked after us during our stay. Ali made sure that we knew where we were going by drawing us maps, would walk with us to make sure we would remember the unmarked streets and pathways of the town back to the Riad. It is very confusing to make our way from the Riad to Jemaa el-Fnaa and we got lost there and back. We also unfortunately had some children persistently harassing us for money to and from our Riad. After this, Ali would walk with us to make sure we weren't bothered again - a really lovely man who really took care of us while we were staying there. I would definitely recommend Riad Dar Nimbus!!

Riad Dar Nimbus

Bad location with no immediate parking. The parking that was recommended is 400metres away and not advised due to the haggling over an agreed price. Hotel clean, quaint and overall nice, but service severely lacking. Early breakfast (7am) requested in advance, but no staff to provide. Requested manager to contact us regarding this issue, nothing heard since. Nice but definitely not again.

A buried oasis

While the riad had many beautiful outdoor patios, the host didn't tell us about them. We had to wander around and find them ourselves...after a day of missing out on them. Once discovered, we were thrilled! There were numerous romantic nooks, with plush pillows and low tables. The breakfast was simple, but adequate in a very chic setting. The neighborhood was pretty rough, but the riad itself was an oasis after long days of fighting crowds in Marrakkech. We discovered also that our host would guide other guests to dinner in the medina. He didn't mention this to us either. Definitely take advantage of this feature as walking back to the riad late at night can be sketchy.

Bonjour, Ce Riad est une bonne expérience, les personnels sont accueillants. Les petits-déjeuners et dîners de qualité ainsi que les équipements. Un soin de 2 heures agréable (hammam massage) pour un prix correct. Transport aéroports assuré par le Riad ce qui est très pratique. Merci d'ailleurs pour le taxi à 04h15 pour notre retour à l'aéroport. Attention le Riad se trouve vraiment dans le cœur de la Médina, il faut sortir pour profiter de la ville.

Wonderful Riad at the edge of the Medina

Le Riad corrrespond en tout point à ce que l’on avait imaginé: chambres agréables, espaces communs cosy, terrasses avec une belle vue dégagée. De plus, le personnel est très aimable et disponible pour répondre à toute vos sollicitations. En tout cas, nous avons adoré notre séjour!

Tæt på Suuken

Stedet er fint til prisen og tæt på Suuken. Var der midt i februar og syntes at der var alt for koldt på stedet selvom der var 20 grader om dagen blev det meget koldt på værelserne. Personalet var superflinke!

En Riad med alt hvad du behøver!

Vi havde et dejligt ophold på Riad dar Nimbus. Hyggelige værelser - skøn tagterrasse hvor vi ved ankomst fik serveret mynte te- og perfekt beliggenhed i forhold til souk’en. Vi ville helt klart benytte denne Riad igen.

Quartier désagréable

Riad très mal situé, sentiment d'insécurité permanent, couplé à limpossibilite de manger sur place si vous n'avez pas prévenu de votre désir le matin. (?!) Le gérant nous a insulté copieusement en arabe lorsque nous avons voulu lui demander de commander un taxi. Le reste du personnel est très agréable, et le riad est joli. Rapport qualité prix correct.

Tres bon séjour

Location superbe dans un quartier populaire, un personnel accueillant et très aidant pour tous vos déplacements et excursions. Spa super aux tarifs abordables . Manque un peu de flexibilité si l'on veut diner ou dejeuner au Riad (il faut prévenir tres en amont), et petit dejeuner qui pourrait être mieux si buffet plutôt que service à table .. autrement tres bon séjour avec une équipe top !

Nous avons passé mon fils et moi un très bon séjour au coeur de la médina (donc loin des quartiers aseptisés) avec un personnel à notre écoute. Petit bémol - Riad un peu trop calme et piscine trop petite si vous partez avec un enfant de 10 ans.

Fantastisk Riad i Medinaen

Fantastisk Riad som dog lå en smule væk fra hvor der er gang i Medinaen-det tager ca en halv time at gå til den store markedsplads. Manager og personalet er meget venlige og hjælpsomme.

Sehr schönes Riad in der Medina von Marrakesh

Das Riad ist sehr schön, ruhig und das Personal ist super hilfsbereit und freundlich. Es liegt zentral und wir können nur empfehlen wenigstens einmal dort zu essen.

Trivsamt

Vi trivdes på bra på den mysiga riaden. Här finns också ett spa/hammam där vi fick bra massage. Maten/frukosten var också bra. Förutom rummen fanns det några mysiga sällskapsrum och flera takterasser där man kunde vistas. Managern pratade bra engelska - övrig personal endast franska.

Väldigt vacker Riad med trevlig personal. Dock hade det väldigt svårt med engelskan. De talade mycket bättre franska vilket inte vi gjorde. Ägaren Mohammed var bra på engelska och han var enkel att ha att göra med. Då vi hade vissa synpunkter på vårt rum så fick vi byta vilket kändes mycket bättre. Det hade gärna fått ligga lite närmare centrum av medinan men det har ju oxå sin charm när man tar sig fram på andra ställen än de mest turisttäta. Skulle absolut bo där igen. Ida & Maja

Charmerende mindre riad med god stil

Atmosfæren var afslappet og stilen rigtig fin på dette lille riad ejet af et fransk par. Der var tænkt over selv de mindste indretningsmæssige detaljer, såsom som messinghåndvaske på badeværelset med matchende håndklædeholdere, små kurve og interiør i matchende jordfarver. Personalet var imødekommende og hjælpsomme. (f.eks. hjalp bestyreren os rundt i medinaen den dag vi ankom) Værelserne var rummelige, sengene var gode med rigtige dyner, hvilket var et stort plus på de kølige januar aftener. Morgenmaden var ok, men ikke noget særligt. Personalet var med på at servere den præcis hvor vi havde lyst. Vil generelt anbefale dette charmerende riad til folk der sætter pris på god stil til en pris der er til at betale.

Vlak boven de Medina

Bij aankomst niet in Riad Dar Nimbus overnacht, maar in naastgelegen Riad Dar Nadwa van dezelfde eigenaar. Later in de week nog een paar dagen in Riad Dar Nimbus. Dar Nadwa: Goede sobere doch nette kamer tegen redelijke prijs. Ruim dakterras. Service hartelijk en goed. Dar Nimbus: Sfeervolle kamer met aparte douche/toiletgelegenheid tegen dezelfde redelijke prijs. Sfeervol dakterras. Service ook hier uitstekend. Ligging van beide Dar's op loopafstand van de medina en souks. Heerlijke stad dat Marrakech!

MEJOR IMPOSIBLE...

Si quieres vivir el auténtico Marrakesh.. tienes que ir a Riad Dar Nimbus; por su situación, por la belleza de sus estancias y habitaciones, por su pequeño pero adorable hamman, como no por su cocina..y sobretodo..sobretodo.... por el trato tan maravilloso de su personal, que sin duda han hecho de nuestra estancia, uno de los recuerdos más agradables del tiempo pasado en Marruecos. Sin duda lo recomendaría a todos aquellos que quieran sentirse como en casa... que digo...mejor...jijiji Gracias... mil... a todos los trabajadores de Riad Dar Nimbus...

Super accueil, bonnes prestations. Employés agréables. Chambres et Riad sublime. Belles terrasses et super prix. La masseuse et fantastique avec une expérience indéniable. Chambres super confortables et belles. Quartier très pauvre; le riad se cache derrière une porte dans une ruelle. Certaines personnes sont un peu violentes pour récolter quelques pièces. Faire attention. Mais rien de bien méchant. Ne pas etre provoquant.

Riad Dar Nimbus - Marrakech

Riad veramente carino e ben tenuto. Personale disponibile ed efficiente. Il quartiere è tranquillo e tipico, non proprio vicino a Jamaa el Fna ma è bello perdersi tra i mille vicoli senza nome della città.

Mysigt och rart men ett fåtal minus

Jättemysig Riad med väldigt! rar personal. Rummet var ljuvligt vackert, likaså terrasserna runt omkring - toppenbetyg! Välstädat, bra service (fick extra kudde vi bad om t ex). Personalen var väldigt omtänksamma, hjälpte gärna till med allt möjligt. De enda problemen vi hade var att vattentrycket i duschen var väldigt dåligt, men jag antar att det har med ledningarna i stan att göra. RumsTV:n fungerade inte men fotbollsmatchen vi ville se fick vi avnjuta i köksutrymmet framför en 10-tumstv, och det var inte optimalt men vi fick se matchen. Internet var det som drog ned mest förutom TVn - det var svårt för mig att jobba online då anslutningen bröts eller inte var tillgänglig stor del av tiden. Alltså: perfekt för en romantisk storstadssemester med sällskap och avnjutande terrasserna, mindre bra om din "semester" ( i mitt fall jobb/semester) kräver optimal teknik för att funka. Oändligt svårt att hitta dit - men personalen hjälper dig, inga problem. Skall du försöka själv att hitta från souken med karta (som jag) räkna med 2 timmar istället för de 20min det tar att gå dit. Gränderna kan kännas lite obehagliga (förmodligen ren känsla snarare än faktiskt hot) som ensam tjej på kvällen.

Lille og hyggelig midt i Madina

Meget hyggeligt hotel. Personalet taler ikke så meget engelsk men meget godt fransk. Maden er ikke helt i top så vi forslår man spiser ude. Hyggelige værelser med airkondition. Kan anbefale at tage på hotel ture. Vi var på en og det var alle pengende værd.
