Good location, close to.Vatican.

The location is very convenient. Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Vatican City. Wifi was not that stable. Staff was friendly, and check-in and check-out were communicated via WhatsApp. You can ask them for an airport or cruise terminal taxi reservation without extra charge.

Staff was excellent. They were easily able to accommodate my special requests. The included breakfast with the nearby cafe was a delight each morning. The only improvement i could recommend is a bench or seating in the beautiful entrance area.

Very nice property and Silvia and Stephanie are very responsive. They are very on top of everything you need, very highly recommend.

THIS IS NOT A HOTEL! It’s not clear what you’re getting from their ad. This is someone’s apartment with several bedrooms and guests. We have to pass through scary looking courtyard and dark unkempt stairs to get to 3rd floor. Once you’re in the apartment it’s very clean including the bathrooms. There’s no security or front desk. You open your door with your phone and the internet. I expected a Hotel and I got an apartment. I’m not happy. They should advertise as an apartment.

Handy for visiting the Vatican

Rest Guesthouse was wonderful! The staff was wonderful & helpful & the property was clean & secure. We loved the location with its proximity to the Vatican & museum. Wonderful! We hope to be back soon!

The property is near the Vatican museum. It is next to a Carrefour grocery store and close to the Metro. We had two rooms with a good shower and wifi. The property is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Sleeping Well in the Shadow of the Vatican…

We got to Rome early, but Guesthouse’s management let us drop off our bags and made breakfast recommendations. The owners are incredible helpful and the rooms are new, well-kept and lovely. There are four rooms, with a common room with hot plate, refrigerator, and a coffeemaker. WE will definitely be coming back!

This is my family’s third stay at Rest Guesthouse. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the Vatican and public transport. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The owner is friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend the guesthouse enough.

A 4 unit guest house each room with en-suite. Vatican City neighborhood minutes from the Vatican Museum and Octiviana metro. Lots of local food choices. Condition from the street is not impressive. There is a small lift that starts about 8 steps up - a huge plus in a building of this age. Step through the Ft Knox quality door and WOW! Spotlessly clean, fully renovated, modern. The 4 guest rooms share a kitchenette and included breakfast is European and provided by a cafe a block away. We were 2 couples and we would recommend and stay again.

Highly recommend and would come back again!

This place was great, location is spot on, convenient to restaurants, the Vatican is right next door and a short walk to the Metro. Was clean, had great service and the service was fantastic. They wanted us to have a nice stay and Rome and they did a great job in making our stay wonderful.

The location was perfect if you are planning to visit the Vatican.

I really enjoyed my stay at Rest Guesthouse. It's in a great location, about 5 minute walk to the Vatican. The owner and housekeeper are both quite helpful in any of your needs. The room was very clean. The only issue for me was the the wifi was extremely slow but since I wasn't in the room often, it was not that big of a deal for me.

Favorite spot in Rome

Meredith and a Gianluca were amazing hosts. They booked us on a night tour in the Vatican and the Sistene Chapel that was unforgettable and very enjoyable. They also helped us with tickets for the train to San Vincenzo. We loved the breakfasts at the corner cafe, compliments of Gianluca and Meredith and they gave us good recommendations for restaurants close to their place. The room was immaculate and XL, the maid, was exceptional and helpful. We highly recommend their place if you want to be 1/2 block from the Vatican. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Roma.

Wonderful place to stay if visiting the Vatican. This is literally a stone’s throw from the entrance of the Vatican museums. This is located on the second floor of an apartment building that has a locked entrance so be sure to communicate with the owner when you are coming in. This is not a hotel where the front desk is there 24/7 but the owner is available by text / phone 24/7. The place is renovated very modern and the minute you walked into the apartment, you can smell the cleanliness. Very big and spacious with high ceilings. The bed is very comfortable and bathroom is also very modern and new. Two more pluses to this place. There is a small grocery store as well as an excellent restaurant La Locanda de Pietro nearby ( meaning just few doors away ) which was very convenient for us. We love the restaurant that we ate there 3 times in 2 days. Our flight was late in the day and they let us stay longer in the apartment. The owner Gianluca also arranged our taxi back to the airport which was very reassuring for us. Overall an excellent place that I would highly recommend when visiting the Vatican. We will surely be back !!!

Highly recommend!

Our stay was amazing from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The host helped arrange a smooth and quick transfer from the airport. Once we arrived, Gianluco greeted us and helped us get settled in. He provided us with a map and several helpful tips for our stay. The room and kitchen itself came with many amenities and was very clean. There is turndown service so the room was very clean each day we arrived home. The apartment is steps away from a mini grocery store, several restaurants, and is also a few minutes walk to the Vatican. I cannot say enough good things about Rest Guesthouse. I highly recommend it!

Perfectly located outside of the Vatican Walls. The host and his wife were amazing in assisting with our sight seeing plans.

The property was clean and the beds were so comfy! It was very quiet, close to the Vatican and metro stops. I would definitely recommend it to others or stay there again whenever we have the chance.

Hidden Gem next to the Vatican

The location could not be better for anyone wishing to visit the Vatican ! It is literaly one block away. The street itself is charming, covered with flowers in the beginning of the spring. Giancarlo, the concierge, was as helpful as delightful ! The place also offers a free delicious breakfast 2 blocks away at a local cafe. The rooms are very spacious, with Queen/King size beds (which is almost impossible to find in this area) and very clean. Don't let the outside of the building fool you, this really us a hidden gem !!

very clean and room size is good, close to vatican museum, sistine chapel and st. peter's basilica...grocery store is right next to the hotel and metro station is about 10-15 minutes walk..owner is nice and helpful though we met them once..she gave her e-mail if we have any concerns..overall this is a good place to stay

Great Accommodations Near Vatican City

Fantastic location for visiting Vatican City! They are literally a few minutes' walk away from the entrance to the Vatican Museum. We really enjoyed the common area, hanging out drinking wine and coffee (without disturbing the other guests of course), and the bed & pillows were probably the best we have ever had anywhere we have stayed! There are 2 supermarkets in the area, one of which was just several doors away. Super convenient!

Amazing stay

If you are looking for an extremely clean and comfortable, yet relatively inexpensive place to stay in Rome, particularly during the warm months, you should stay here. The Rest Guesthouse has very fair pricing and you receive so much value for your cost. Now onto the vital features--you'll get a good night's sleep at the Rest Guesthouse! This place is heaven. The Rest Guesthouse was completely remodeled just a few years ago. It's very modern and feels brand-new. The a/c systems are individually controlled in each room, and are whisper quiet and cool down the rooms perfectly. I found the memory foam mattress and pillows to be extremely comfortable. The bathroom fixtures are modern and function well. Finally, the room is so clean. Perhaps the cleanest place I've ever stayed--just spotless. There's a common kitchen but we didn't hang out there much as we were trying to fit in all our touring. Speaking of that, the owners (Luca & Meredith) are an incredible source of information and will help with all your plans in Rome. They helped us countless times (picking places to eat, arranging tours, even buying tickets on our behalf when our credit cards wouldn't go through on an Italian website--I could go on and on). They also provide daily vouchers for a continental breakfast at a nearby cafe. All in all, we loved the Rest Guesthouse. Thanks so much to the owners, Luca and Meredith, for making our long stay in Rome so fun and memorable!

The room is spacious, clean, comfortable and in very good location. It is close to the Vatican City and public transport.

When we first arrived at the Rest Guesthouse address we found a building with a number of businesses. We were confused but there was a porter who helped by ringing the intercom for us. The Rest Guesthouse is located in a courtyard, up a small flight of stairs to a tiny elevator in a dark hallway. We were concerned until we rang the bell on the Guesthouse door. The door was opened by a very nice English speaking woman. Suddenly we stepped into the brightest, clean, modern space! What a jewel! Our room was beautiful, spacious, clean. We would stay here again in a second. And probably will on our next visit to Rome. Loved it!

We had a lovely time at the Rest Guesthouse. The owners were very helpful even before we arrived giving advice and setting up tours. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, and clean; and, as 4 women traveling, we felt safe in the hotel and the neighborhood. (The only caution I would mention, is that there are some stairs when you enter, even to the elevator. It was not a problem for us, but I am not sure it was mentioned on the website.)

Excellent Hotel near the Vatican

Lovely place to stay near the Vatican. Super convenient, about 200 yards form the Vatican Museum entrance. Recently renovated guest house, only 4 rooms. Very spacious and clean, Gianluca and Meredith are excellent hosts. Beds are very comfortable and although you are right in the middle of the city, surprisingly very quiet. Great selection of local restaurants every where, so food is not a problem. Metro station is close by as well. Rate includes breakfast and internet, fantastic value. We will be back to stay when we return to Rome.

We were only at Rest Geusthouse for 1 night but were very pleased with our stay and would have loved to stay longer. The room was pristine, the bed was extremely comfortable and complimentary chilled water was provided for our night. Our liaison Gianluca was very hospitable, welcoming and flexible with your delayed arrival. We would definitely return for a stay when next in Rome!

Excellent Guesthouse

Close to city attractions but still in a quiet area. Cleanliness of the guesthouse is outstanding. Gianluca was very helpful in transportation and recommendations for things to do in Rome.

You don't know you've arrive at the hotel

Lucus is informative and helpful. Call him and let him know your arrival time, so he will be there to meet you. Room is nice, clean and one block to Vatican. The restaurant near are good and speak english. I am 61 yrs old and easy walk to the metro. I would stay there again.

The accommodations were as advertised...clean and bright. And the location was ideal with a metro stop close by, restaurants all along the block and situated literally steps away from the Vatican. However, what I appreciated the most was the personal care and attention that Gianluca provided my Mother as I had to depart earlier for home. Thank you, Rest Guesthouse, for going above and beyond! I will definitely recommend to friends.

Lovely B&B

Rest Guesthouse B&B is located very close to the Vatican Museum with a Carrefour food store next door. The Ottviano Metro station is only 5 minutes’ walk away. The room we had was excellent and newly decorated and located on the 2nd floor of a building that used to be a monastery with a lift running from the ground floor. The room has a very comfortable double bed, air conditioning, a rain shower, satellite TV (Sky Italia), free WiFi, a large safe, and a fridge. There is a shared kitchen and seating area with a free coffee machine as well as supplies of tea bags. Breakfast is provided at a nearby restaurant 2 minutes walk away. Just be aware that the Italian breakfast is basically just a cappuccino, a croissant and a juice, but this was plenty to keep us going until lunch time. The room was fairly noisy during the day being on the centre of a busy city, but with the double glazed windows shut you could still get a good night’s sleep. The owner Gianluca was really helpful and met us when we arrived. As we had a late arrival we had to ring him to get us access to the site which is secured with locked gates. Unfortunately when we arrived it was the evening rush hour and the journey to the B&B took over an hour. The return trip after the morning rush hour took only 30 minutes. You also have to pay a local room tax of €3.50 per person per night directly to Gianluca. Overall we were very pleased with this B&B and would use it again on our next trip.

Sparkling Clean Place to Stay very near the Vatica

Gianluca, the representative of the Rest Guesthouse was very helpful and in touch with us beforehand, wanting to know when we were coming in, making sure we had his information so we could communicate and being so kind as to help us unload and bring up our luggage. The place was uber-clean, white sparkling. The kitchen/main room had a stove top, an automatic espresso machine and a kettle for making tea. So if you wanted to prepare your own food, you could. We made tea and cappucinos for ourselves.

Great Hotel Close to the Vatican

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rest Guest House. We spent 8 nights there in late November 2016. The room was well equipped. The common area was an extra bonus! The bed was comfortable and bathroom had an excellent shower. Owner was very helpful providing us with tourist information and also booked transportation for us from guesthouse to airport. Breakfast was provided at a cafe near the guesthouse. Wifi was great!

Awesome Hotel and Staff

The Rest Guest House is a small four room hotel. Emma our concierge was awesome. Our original flight was cancelled due to bad weather. This made us six hours late to our hotel. Emma waited for us to check us in an hour and a half past their normal check-in time even though we had not contacted Emma to tell her our new schedule. I had not yet learned how to make a proper international call. Upon our arrival to the hotel, Emma also spent an hour with us to give us a list of many great local restaurants and get us familiar with Rome on a map they provided. Emma happily met any requests we had during the week including suggesting and booking a reservation at a special restaurant for our wedding anniversary. The hotel room was very bright, clean, and modern. We especially liked our comfortable bed and pillows and the daily cappuccinos from their coffee machine in the shared kitchen area. We wanted to experience the Italian culture by being in an Italian neighborhood, but still be close to the Vatican and tourist destinations. We accomplished this with Rest Guest House.

Wonderful location and stay!

The location was amazing and so was the room. Everything was new and modern, with plenty of space. Wifi and breakfast were included. The owner even helped call a cab and with our luggage. We only stayed one day and night since we were going on a cruise, but I would have stayed the whole week and will book again next time I'm in Rome. The metro was also close by and a grocery next door.

Beautiful little hotel right next to the Vatican

Fantastic hotel that we would stay again. Great customer service, contacting us prior to check in. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Very clean. Only thing was shower head could have had more pressure. Breakfast at cafe around the corner had limited options but food was tasty. Lovely place to stay.

Brilliant location ( literally a stones throw from the Vatican walls); friendly owner managers ( nothing was too much); stylish comfortable apartment with small kitchen area and great coffee machine. Breakfast is in an authentic but modern coffee bar 'round the corner ( owned by the same family). A gem.

Well kept and right by Vatican Museum Entrance

The owner is very nice and wants you to be comfortable. This is a small venue and not particularly a hotel with a concierge per se but i imagine Luca can serve as one by the way he tried to make me feel at home. This place is super clean and seems like it has been recently remodeled. It had a very modern feel. So many places in Rome look like the lobby is the only part they ever update and they still have wallpaper and green carpet that goes up half the wall. Not this joint. Its got clean interior decor and modern fixtures. They lobby area is spacious and the room I stayed in had a nicely laid out bathroom. I didn't feel that cramped in the shower at all, which I usually am because of the tiny showers in much of Rome. The place is just a reflection of the owners really wanting you to enjoy your stay. Really good guy. His wife spoke with me on the phone to confirm my arrival and she was extremely nice. Luca offered a lot of info on the city too.

Spacious and convenient

Warm welcome from Gianluca, the owner. Straight-forward set up with communal kitchenette for coffee/tea. Breakfast is not onsite, instead it is serviced by a cafe two streets away. Very convenient. My room was spacious and very comfortable.

Extremely helpful, friendly service & great room!

The owner was very helpful, spoke great English, and was always available by text to go above and beyond in arranging for taxis, car services, offering recommendations on places to eat and things to do etc. The rooms were bright and modern - everything was very clean and well kept. We will definitely go back and highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Rome - especially the Vatican as it is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. If you have stayed in Italy before you know the rooms are much smaller than typical US hotels, as is this one (no couches or easy chairs etc. just the bed, a small desk, a wardrobe and one chair). But this was cleaner, brighter, more modern and functional than any other we've stayed in and the hospitality really was 5 Star.

Perfect for a trip to Rome

We would recommend the Rest Guesthouse (RG) in a heartbeat. RG is conveniently located close to The Vatican and within walking distance of the Metro. It is surrounded by great places to eat and drink making it the perfect base for any trip to Rome. What sets RG apart is attention to detail and friendliness. From receipt of an email before we arrived to being waved "Ciao" when we set off for the airport, we loved every second at RG. The rooms are not just clean, they are immaculately clean and the decor is extremely modern and tastefully done. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous and really went out of their way to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. Put it this way, when we return to Rome we'll be staying at the RG again and if you're thinking of visiting, you should too.

Perfect for a short break

Brilliant location close to Metro and the Vatican. Quiet street. Immaculate, clean, everything you need. Kitchen area excellent. Host welcoming and very helpful. Bed comfy - not too hard! Breakfast was super - very accommodating - happy to put ham and cheese into my gluten free wrap and toast it for me. A super start to the day. We could not have chosen better for our stay. 2 flights of stairs or very old fashioned lift.

A few days in Rome

This place is a book that shouldn't be judged by its cover. We arrived at a typical Roman apartment building, clean but uninspiring. The staircase was worn and the lift was old. There the concern stopped. The courtyard had pretty plants and because it was just after Christmas, there was a pretty little crib. . We cannot praise the Rest Guest house enough. The reception area is inviting and clean with free (yes, free) tea and coffee making facilities. Kettle, fridge, dishwasher, plates, cups etc. Three tables to have a snack. The host was more than helpful, courteous and pleasant - 5 star hotel reception couldn't have been better. The room was immaculate. The bathroom was immaculate. The king size bed was very comfortable with a memory foam mattress. The room was a good size. There was a fridge, although there was also one which could be used in the reception area. The sheets and towels were changed a couple of times, even though we were only there for a few days. Our room overlooked a busy road, but we were in a capital city so expected traffic noise. The double glazing was good so we weren't bothered by the noise. There is a room which overlooks the courtyard so that may have been quieter. The room is very close to the Vatican museums so is not in the heart of the city but it is very close (5mins) from the Ottaviano metro stop, so a metro pass meant we were everywhere we wanted to be within minutes. Close to a little supermarket and restaurants.

Wonderful find in the heart of Rome!

It was a wonderful hotel! Great location, close to the Vatican and Metro. Little grocery store next door, lots of restaraunts, yet quiet. Room was spacious and very clean. The manager made sure all of our questions were answered, scheduled a driver to take us to the airport and even helped haul our luggage. Very accomodating. I would definately return!

Fabulous place, lovely owner

Just got home from our weekend in Rome and had a lovely time. The outside is old style Rome, but inside it's so modern, minimalist and clean white! The gentleman that greeted us was so hospitable, couldn't ask for more. Breakfast delicious and location was good! Only reason I marked "room comfort" down was due to my husband finding the bed to hard, but that's personal taste! Highly recommend! Thank you!

The REST GUEST HOUSE B&B

This B&B with elevator, was very clean, an efficient unit with king size bed, and separate bathroom with a great shower in the unit. Shared gathering space included room for cooking and tables for eating or just wine and cheese, a cappuccino machine and assorted teas complimentary for all guests. Owner, D'Onofrio Gianluca was a gracious host, providing maps, recommendations for dining, tickets to events and help with luggage without asking for it. He made us feel like family rather than his guests. The B&B location was excellent, just a block from the Vatican wall and central to the city of Rome. Easy access was available to the Hop On Hop Off bus, the metro and local bus routes. This is the place to stay if going to Rome. We were there 3 days and went on a two week cruise and returned for another two days before returning home. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND this B&B.

the guest house is located in a building very close to the Vatican. Although the street is quite noisy, the windows are sound proof and the room is very quiet. The room is very clean, comfortable and is designed with a lot of taste. The staff was VERY helpful with anything we needed, had a lot of recommendations about what to see and where to eat. We had a wonderful time!

It’s the perfect location for a city trip & a nice neighborhood. The room and she shared kitchen area are super clean and spacious. Very easy and good communication with the host. We will definitely come back!

Top pour un séjour à Rome

La chambre est spacieuse et confortable, l'accueil est sympa et la responsable est toujours à l'écoute des demandes même via WhatsApp. Le quartier est vivant, à 5 minutes de la place St Pierre, 5 minutes à pieds du metro et des stations de taxi. Je recommande sans aucun problème.

Muy cerca del vaticano y a 5 min de la parada de metro más cercana. Muy limpio y con todo lo necesario en la zona común de las habitaciones. La zona de acceso y escaleras comunes están muy antiguas en comparación con lo nuevo que está el interior

Não é um hotel, trata-se de um apartamento com 4 suites e uma área comum com micro-ondas, fogão, etc... O café da manhã é servido em um restaurante ao lado, porém é bem fraco, trata-se apenas de um croassant e uma xícara de café, chocolate quente ou capuccino, sendo bem fraco mesmo.
