Disappointed
Receptionist was lovely but disappointed. Accomodation gave the impression it had a pool but this was located down the road. We had booked for 4 but there were only 3 forks and glasses. The information in the room said daily room service but during the stay we were informed rooms weren’t serviced on a Sunday. The shampoo was empty. Air conditioner outside room was noisy all night. Needed an upgrade.
Great spot close to town - our room smelt of stale smoke.
Noisy if facing the road
The apartments are definitely showing signs of age and wear - which that in itself I don’t mind, how many of our houses are kept brand new? What was challenging for me was the loud road noise. Amazing balcony for fresh air, light and view but sadly paper thin and kept me awake at night with road noise
Very helpful staff clean and close to cbd
Very poor. Lack of parking availability, pool is not on the premises (mislead by the photo), 3 day stay and no cleaning or servicing, poorly equipped kitchen facilities. Damp towels left for us and no one around to have swapped. Washer dryer not working, bathroom fan not working. The whole floor smelt overwhelmingly of curry the entire stay. Window won’t open, view into a wall of very close apartments and the noisy motorway. Won’t be back.
Old building not maintained that well.
Perfect one night stop in the Capital. Central location, clean room and friendly staff
Best ever
Perfect set of facilities could find no fault. Really helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble.
No aircon wasn’t great and also has permanent residents which are not ideal and very smelly, smelt like a curry house
Great spot
Average at best
It’s a dated property and staff were friendly however the unit itself was not what we expected from the Quest brand. The location is not bad however the property really needs to be renovated. Our sliding door did not close or lock properly. The kitchen utensils and pots were not clean, and it just wasn’t up to standard overall. So we were a bit disappointed overall however the front staff were professional and helpful.
Great Wellington apartment
Great central spot for Wellington for those on a budget
Good affordable option in particular for people wanting a base bang in the middle of Wellington's CBD. Very convenient if you're in town to do business with the likes of the major government agencies
We booked this accommodation as we have stayed at Quests before and like their high standards. This property was clean but very dated. We stayed in room 7C - Needs maintenance - sink tap loose, shelf in bathroom loose. No shampoo/soap in dispenser in shower (which I would have used my own, but thought this time I'd try Quests - too late to jump out once in), shower floor does not seem right. Road noise from motorway is terrible. It does have everything you should need from washer/dryer, cooking facilties. Easy to access main street. Parking - we parked on street as our Ute would not fit in the last parking space. I have decided I have champagne taste, but want budget cost.. so probably my fault in the booking. I don't feel the photos matched what I booked. But all in all to be honest, one night was fine. I would not book again though unless it gets a refurb. Your staff are friendly, welcoming, helpful and pleasant.
We only stayed for 1 night on our way to the south island. Even though the hotel is within walking distance of so many restaurants, there are definitely several downside with staying at this place. The hotel page didn't notify that parking is available with a fee ONLY if you request it when we make the booking. We weren't aware of this, but lucky enough there was a spot available. The parking lot itself is a nightmare as there's only one way in and out. The drive up to the upper lever parking lot is very narrow, it doesn't suit a car bigger than hatchback or sedan. Getting to the hotel in a car is a little chaotic, so please do your research if you plan to drive to the hotel. The room is pretty small and the shower's hole cover keep floating when the shower is on. Ever though the room is equipped with washer/dryer which is great for our overall trip, the level that our room is in has a very strong odour from the long term residents' cooking. There are plenty of room refreshers in the hallway, but it doesn't seem like it worked against the odour
Clean & tidy room but backed on to the motorway so very noisy which made it hard to sleep without earplugs. Friendly reception staff. Centrally located
A great location. The staff were extremely welcoming. We were in walking distance of a variety of restaurants and food. Within easy walking distance to the train station. The buses were also very easy to catch. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Place was great. But the parking is absolutely shocking
Nice place to stay. Good location, close to most things. Be careful of the step. Got me a couple of times.
Property was in a convenient location. Although a little dated it was still very comfortable. The staff on the reception desk were brillaint.
Stay was great, reception were wonderful and helpful.
Great location but can tell property is a bit old and needs a refurb - single glazing that does not fit tight is not great for blocking out city sounds at night. A few appliances did not work. Staff very friendly though.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is commendable. Kudos!
Property is in a safe and quiet corner of City Center, with access to transportation and communication.
The property was expensive compared to the quality offered. There was no air conditioning, and the parking situation was terrible, especially considering parking was not included in the accommodation price. There are many good hotels around where we could have stayed for a better experience at the same price
Everyone was so lovely to deal with, they allowed us to check in earlier which was amazing! Would definitely stay again , thanks for having us
Great service an homely feeling environment
barely move such a small space
Friendly people at reception. The rooms was really noisy because of the 24 hr noise. Also a homeless man screamed outside the hotel for an hour from 4.30 to 5.30 am. Receptionist said some homeless people stay in the hotel.
Overall enjoyed my stay and they were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Be mindful if you have a vehicle there is limited parking at the property and small spaces for the vehicle. Book ahead.
Requested to move rooms. the original room was noisy the hallway smelled the room was was unclean and there was hair everywhere. The onsite parking was bad the spices were very small would not recommend parking there. I complained about the room moved somewhere else which was better. The stuff was understanding and helpful
Great place, helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the balcony!
Little noisy around
When booking i looked for a two bedroom space for 3 adults that had a living space and kitchenette. Overall the property was okay but there were a few things that would make me pause before rebooking. Firstly, the space was clean but in the smaller bedroom a nasal bud was under one of the beds. There were two beds wedged in with a small table and lamp. Its a little cramped if you like your personal space. The mattresses were comfy but partially blocked the doorway. Probably a fire hazard issue. The room did have a good wardrobe. There was an air vent but incredibly loud and I'm not sure it did anything. In the kitchen dishes were still in the dishwasher, which is where we found the one and only fork. Some cutlery and crockery were missing but surprisingly had a good range of pots n pans. Unfortunately the complimentary milk didn't make it to the fridge. The bathroom was quite spacious with good water pressure and washing dryer combo. The shower seemed small in such a generous space. Located in the cbd it's close to amenities and easy to walk to places providing you know the shortcuts to the terrace. It is close to the motorway so if you're a light sleeper bring earbuds. Overall the property was okay but there were a few things that would make me pause before rebooking.
very tidy and comfortable studio.
Bathroom had a toilet which ran all night and tiles in bathroom were lifting so let water in under them so we’re always wet
Overall, our stay was pleasant. The reception desk was helpful and attentive. Only disappointments were the parking and there was a smell (that I could not describe) on our floor. Thankfully the smell was only in the hallways of our floor, not the room or anywhere else in the accomodation. The carpark was easy to find but not the easiest to get around if you’re not a confident driver so be warned, if it’s the busy period and you’re needing to park upstairs.
Stay was good but annoyed with the expired milk that they gave us. Milk is a basic item and at least it should have been checked and not given expired milk
The room was a lot smaller than expected. Very small shower. The car parking would be more suited a very small car (ie, swift, smart 4, bambina) as my medium car was very touch and go. Should have parked on roadside. On the plus side, the room was very clean and had everything we needed for one night. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Shower door wouldn’t close, the entire level smells weird, receptionists were always helpful and kind.
The property is well-located on the Terrace adjacent to/just above Lambton Quay - a prime shopping location - so you’re not far from really good shops and access to transport to get around. Walking distance to Queens Wharf region and the harbour, which was great too. Staff were always very helpful and quick to respond to requests, with a very polite and welcoming manner. Main drawback is the room (superior 2-bedroom apartment) seemed half-new, with the kitchen quite dated, as well as the bathroom floor tiling raised/uneven and trapping water. Some of the carpets at the steps in the apartment were worn through. So the rooms could do with some upgrading to make them more appealing.
Very kind people and we enjoyed 2days there, thanks
The hotel was in a convenient location and had a clothes washer and dryer which was a plus. Good wifi also good. Room was small but adequate although you had to be mindful of the step-down between bathroom and main part of room. There was wind and road noise which meant that early wake ups were a given.
Great service
Close to shops TSB Arena Waterfront. Clean and tidy. Did not like the Quest Carpark only about 5 available and very very difficult to drive in and around the carpark. Very small.
A bit noisey but really good location and price. Definitely will stay again.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking area very difficult to manouvre in.
Very clean accommodation, and close to the city though need to walk down a hill to get there. Good facilities provided to do own cooking.
Comfortable and spacious
Property was fine for an overnight stay. Great location
being walking distance to the city and cable car was great. with a carpark build behind the hotel
The Mirrors by the bed on the wardrobe big mistake covered them b4 bed bad fing shui and the fan not going in bathroom but overall excellent stay and with the room awesome reception when i arrived late on arrival big thanks
Great location and hotel for a weekend getaway
No air conditioning, small and pokey.
noise!Noise from motoway made me unable to sleep. second bedroom is very small ,only fit for children. We found out on the night the carpark garage was too narrow ,we can‘t drive into the garage. We had to drive around at the night for parking.
Very clean and comfortable. We stayed with our whole family. It was exactly what we needed.
Onsite parking was tight but they made an excellent space available for our station wagon. Central location, clean and tidy, will stay again
Property felt clean and comfortable. I would have liked more herbal teas.
Great location
Great after hours check in procedure
Close to Lambton Quay and buses. Really easy to get from airport on bus with access from Lambton Quay through Farmers, James Cook Hotel or shopping plaza . Check in quick and room well stocked.
Very noisy. Room backed onto the motorway. Also room had a big step down in middle.
Older but nice
Amazing staff. Slightly tired but very clean apartment. Easy walking distance to the city.
Lovely stay
Room was what we requested for our family. Staff were very helpful. Location is excellent for inner city. Does need to be updated as bench in kitchen is terribly marked and kitchen dated. Washer/dryer made a horribly loud noise on spin.
Easy access off motor way, friendly staff, lovely room with a view and balcony. .
Our room faced the motorway and it was noisy. The windows didn’t close flush, along with not being double glazed so we had constant sound of vehicles moving.
A very tired decor with next to nothing in the room. Furniture was old and uncomfortable. Next to no cooking utensils. Bedroom was small and extremely noisy with outside noise. Would I stay there again…. No!!
We had a room overlooking the motorway that did not stop all weekend and we hardly slept. Positive note it was clean but the room was extremely tired and in need of some major repairs.
Studio was small but comfortable. However there was an unmarked large step from the entrance and bathroom level down to kitchen/sleeping area. Not at all the best for aging knees.
Centrally located to everything. Walking distance to the stadium. Close to ferry.
Has steps in the apartment witch is a little odd, comfortable bed and everything you need including full kitchen facilities and washing machine.
We had an issue with parking but Eloise at reception was wonderful sorted it right a way Thank you so much.
The overall property was good, as there was full kitchen and bathroom facilities. However, there is definitely some work that needs to be done on the rooms, as things were broken and the furniture was looking pretty beaten and worn. They also did not offer any hand soap, only body and facial soap, which my partner and I thought was slightly weird. The car park was also not the best as it was rather steep to get up and was a bit tight, so hard to get into the parks.
Centrally located, easy access, clean and appreciated full apartment amenities, very enjoyable stay.
Central location is good however apartments starting to look worn and could do with a makeover. Booking confirmed three months before stay but three days prior to arrival received a call to say facility was overbooked and we were booked into another hotel for the first night of our stay. Very disappointing
The location was great , as was the cleanliness of the room . The reception stafff were friendly and helpful . I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again .
The property had a good amount of space for a small room. We had construction outside which disturbed our sleep. At one stage the room smelt like sewage. The bed was also very hard.
Our room was fine, tidy and clean, staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The only thing i would say is that if you had young children i would be very concerned about the windows, they were old and could be opened right up. A small child could easily have fallen out.
Terrific Central Location
Really clean and fabulous central location. Our apartment was a lot smaller and more tired looking than the ones in the photos.
The apartment was small, but very comfortable. The bed, bedding, and appliances were all fantastic. Big let down was the traffic noise, which was only as bad as it was because the balcony door in our room did not have a great seal on it. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. For the price it was a nice place to stay. Great location, very comfortable and clean.
Difficult parking and no milk In fridge Late evening arrival, duty manager excellent.
Location was good. Parking was a problem but the staff was very nice to provide a free parking on the property. All the rest was good. First time in Wellington
Quest Terrace gives you exactly what it claims on the tin. Cannot ask for more than that. They offered to change my room to one with a better view - much appreciated. Everything works. It’s all clean. Comfortable bed. Lots of ticks. It’s not flash and it’s not trying to be flash. For me, it represents god value and super convenience. Definitely coming back.
location is good
no aircon, and second room is extreamly small than what i expexted. car space is only suitable for small car. a big car will be struggling moving in and out
Awesome value for money. Separate bed/bath/living and automatic washer/drier to launder clothes. Very friendly helpful staff. Good Wellington location.
Handy in Wellington
It was the second time we stayed at the Quest on the Terrace and we felt comfortable there again. It is handy to downtown and all attractions. It's well equipped with everything you need. Great for a short or longer stay.
THe stay was Brief but comfortable and Nancy was very kind and helpful to me. I would stay there again if I ever have the chance to return to wellington
Location was excellent for our trip unfortunately the property was terrible as smelled very badly and unclean. The rooms were tired and needed refreshing. The windows on the twelfth floor were dangerous as opened further than should have and not restricted.
The room is well located downtown with easy access to many restaurants and shopping.
Our stay here was not great - but it is a budget room so taking that into account, it is somewhere to sleep. We booked the room for a washer/dryer, which of course didn’t work. The room had no air conditioning, and was very hot. To open the door and only window to let some air in meant that we then had the noise of the busy road underneath. When I tried to talk to reception about this the next morning, they were very rude, unhelpful and basically said the dryer not working was my fault because I didn’t call their maintenance team when it was 11pm at night and the phone wouldn’t work in the room either... We didn’t even get an apology. Would not recommend this to anyone, pay the extra $50 and get a decent room elsewhere.
It was totaly unstable for a wheelchair user. I had to carry my daughter up stairs to get to lift. In the room there was a big step that was not highlited and my daughter fell down.
average unit
Stayed in a small 2 bedroom unit for 7 nights which was in average condition. Expensive for what was on offer. I upgraded from a single room and they failed to calculate the extra cost accurately and i gave up after a number of emails as the $80 overcharged wasn’t worth the continued effort. Parking is tight and expensive at $25 per day.I wont go back there.
No air conditioning room was vert hot and a lot of traffic noise
Location is very good, easy walking distance to Lambton Quay, eateries, and public transport. Daily cleaning is very basic, the shower wasn't cleaned the week we stayed, although towels were changed each day. Bathroom smelt musty and damp, possibly due to no window and the fan not working. Bed very comfortable, and unit a good size for 2 people.
Parking is $25 per night, and very tight to get into. Stairs from parking site , no lift from parking site so if you have luggage it is terrible. One bedroom we booked, couldn’t get suitcase into bedroom, very small apartment.
Apartment was looking "tired". 2md bedroom with 2 single beds was very small. Carparking was very cramped and not suitbale for larger vehicles
excellent location, close to the city, excellent customer service
Comfortable
Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping can be improved as towels were not changed for 4 nights along with collection of kitchen waste. Wifi connectivity was as problem for one day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. No air-conditioning so room was very hot. Kitchen and bathroom are looking tired. Shower was grubby
