I asked for 2 extra towels and she told me she didn’t have any. I also asked for an extra blanket and she told me there are already blankets on the bed. I said I am a paying guest and want 2 extra towels and another blanket and she then told me to come back in an hour.
The mattress was worn out. The heater was very noisy. We did not get any rest.
:(
Pool was ice cold where a 8 year old didn’t want get in. The beds was horrible very very uncomfortable, breakfast was ok if u just want waffles and cold coffee

Stay away!
Bizarre place. Construction debris, and filthy! Indoor pool could not be used
Roaches!
The service was great until I found a roach in my room, which really upset me.

I booked and paid for 12/6 and 12/7 through Hotel.com (Hotel.com confirmation no#72060102578705), but my accommodation bill (account#962316379) still requires me to pay for these two days. Please check and refund the fees.
Warm & friendly
We stayed December 14th and 15th. The wallpaper in our room was peeling off, the phone in the room did not work ( no cords attached) the lights kept flickering, ants in the bathroom, hot tub was shut down. When we complained we were given 3 bottles of water and fruit snacks. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Very disappointed.
This place is a dump. They are renovating but it will be difficult for a makeover to fix it's condition, it needs a total renovation.
If you're a solo traveler in need to cheap place to sleep, this might be your place. However most families will be negatively challenged to stay here. Room itself was below average but with closet full of various broken room elements (curtain&rod/room safe/etc) that were apparently left in the room due to a lack of space to dispose properly. Some peeling wall paper, defective/missing light bulbs, and general lack of maintenance. The common areas appear to be in the middle of much needed maintenance with lighting dimmed due to missing lighting fixtures/bulbs that showed the facilities age and decrepit up-keep. Simply clearing away trash, old decorations, sweeping/ vacuuming would have made the place appear much more welcoming. Before making a reservation, make sure the proprietors provide guarantee that the upkeep/maintenance is completed.
King room with low light.
Room was very dark 2 lamps each with a 25watt or 40watt bulb one ceiling light. We asked for stronger light bulbs, we were brought an old lamp also with a small bulb. The light in the bathroom also was dark. The bed was poorly made up. We stripped the bed and remade it. That was a first.
I absolutely love the staff here!!!
The lamp didnt work, and neither did the phones. The hotel was being updated but unfortunately not the area or room we were in. They came up and replaced the lamp.
The staff is always very helpful and ready to assist. Personable and want their guests to feel at home. Marie is the best - she is always helpful. The others do very well to assist overnight requests. The property was once a very high end hotel (late 1970s vintage), but still retains some of that luster and charm. It is being renovated - a facelift on rooms - and is like all hotels attuned to the room market and local events. (Purdue football and basketball drive prices on Friday and Saturday for all hotels.) Continental breakfast is waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. But like everything, some can't resist taking more for later! I've stayed well over a dozen times - amenities are not what drives my stays (it does have a large pool) - but the quiet comfortable rooms and access to Walmart across the street. (Food for your room.) Internet is pretty solid. I haven't had problems with it no matter which room I get.
I'll pass on this hotel next time
Bathroom was not clean. Room smelled strongly of smoke. And son found a roach
This hotel is under construction so I expect for somethings to be dusty dirty. But for my the bathroom to be dirty, television didn't work, no menu for local restaurants and I seen a roach. I was to out done. All I want was a hot shower and bed. I had to put a towel in the tub to take a shower. The water didn't drain properly. And the water stayed at the foot of the tub. This is not my dirt. This tub was not properly cleaned. The toilet was also not properly cleaned.
Breakfast was ok but they ran out of a couple items and coffee.
I booked this for a kids swimming party the pool area was 56 degrees couldn’t swim it was so cold. Left at 7pm due to coldness couldn’t stay
The welcoming & clear information given to guests.
Told night clerk that there was dog poop in 3rd floor hallway , 1 hour later it was still there had to tell the morning clerk which she took care of right away.
staff was so sweet! they were doing renovations when i was there but the hotel was still very nice. breakfast was the only thing that wasn’t the best.
Wow!
Fabulous remodeled room.
It was fine, just in a bit of a state of repair.
Property is under renovation. Great place to stay for a weekend at Purdue
They told us the property was under renovation so that was not the problem. People were nice - but the room was just not clean
Great !
This place was filthy. They need to buy a vacuum that can reach the baseboards in all the hallways. The bed and pillows were good, but that was it. An old curtain was sitting in our closet. There were marks on the walls, doors in the room, and the bathroom. There was a layer of dust on the baseboards and the closet rod. The place was completely outdated, which I would have been okay with if they kept it clean. They said they were renovating, but we saw no sign of this. And, of course, the price was ridiculous because it was Purdue Parents' weekend.
The TV has not worked both times i have been here AND the water has not worked. Will not be back until the construction is over.
The only thing this hotel has in its favor is its staff. The room was dirty and it smelled musty and old. Supposedly they are under renovations but another couple told us it was like that a year ago too. The bathroom was awful. No water pressure. Mildew ring around the tub. The hair dryer didn’t work. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and we could not get any extra blankets. There is absolutely no housekeeping no matter how many days you stay. The building is just musty and old overall. I will never stay here again and Quality is the last word I would use to describe this hotel.
Go after they completely finish their remodel.
Place is run down. Bathtub dirty. Carpet in hallways dirty, complete renovation needed. They said that it’s in progress but it looks like it’s just a message to excuse the fact that the property is in poor condition.
Zero Stars
The hotel was outrageously priced because it was family weekend at Purdue, but wow was it a complete dump! The bathroom was disgusting, the tub was covered in filth, the floors had random crumbs on the carpet and everything was broken-the remote, the ice machine, the lamp, even the computer at the front desk could not print out a receipt.
Dirty carpet, pealing wallpaper curtains falling down and the shower drain did not drain, gross. So terrible for the price we paid.
The staff and management was very courteous and helpful. Property was in the middle of a major overhaul. But working towards making the facility better for the customer.
this is a great location to visit with my son at Purdue university. It is also very close to a Walmart, and restaurants. They do have new management and are getting better on the amenities, appearance and cleanliness.
Will do.
It is inexpensive but very outdated. Not bad for the price.
Convenient to Purdue, Walmart, and the Celery Bog nature area. Could tell that the owners ate attempting to upgrade facilities. Hallway carpets stained.
Understand that renovations are planned but until then at least keep rooms cleaner.
This property was under construction, which is not a favorable condition. The jacuzzi was not operational, at least one elevator was not usable, and one overnight - water came out of an air vent, flooding the bathroom floor. I spoke with and had dealings with management, and she presented herself and the staff positively. I will stay there again - but I look forward to the construction being completed.
Absolutely dirty bathrooms and rooms. Breakfast was pathetic. Hotel did not even provide a bottle of water.
Just old and run down. In major need of a remodel supposedly in progress. Just needed a place to sleep and a shower. Got that but wall paper seams stapled together, walking down hallway to rooms half the ceiling tiles brown from water damage. Bathrooms functional but loose tiles on floor and shower had a whole case or two of caulk holding it together. Only real positive was lady at the front desk had a great personality.
Unfortunately, the hotel was just doing renewal construction situations. But, fortunately, staff members helped me kindly and gently all my staying time. I really stayed this hotel comfortably.
My room and the hotel was disgusting! There was mold in the bathroom. The shower head was covered in nasty. There was crusty white around the sink faucet. When the AC unit kicked on it smelled of mold. It was so bad I was wheezing and had to use an inhaler. I have multiple pictures of the filth. While they gave notice that it was under renovation, these were not matters of renovation. It was filth. My room, and likely all the others, should not be used for guests. I was appalled but because I checked in late at night, there was not an option to change hotels. Awful!! Absolutely awful!
Breakfast options are very limited. No micro-oven in the room, no adequate soap or provided by room services.
Very old. The room was damp and moldy
The shower did not work. I did not find out about until right before checking out.
This was a disgusting roach motel with stained carpet everywhere and an awful smell throughout the hotel. Left after 5 minutes and booked at a real hotel.
Not what I expected
The room was a far walk from everything. I thought I was booking a handicap accessible room but it wasn’t. Not the hotel’s faulty but the third party website I used for booking. We had planned on staying two nights but left after one.
This was an old hotel that was not operational and looks like the new owners did a short cut to do some miner fixes and start this in an unsafe condition. The health department should close this until there is good repair. It was dusty, mold everywhere, pungent smells, no internet or TV. When I complained, the "I don't care" answer from the reception was , "hey see I have put some posters everywhere saying we are renovating" . I have not seen any workers doing any renovation. Looks like they just want to make some quick money from Purdue students parents. Anyway, I got out just after one night (from a two night booking) as I care for my and my family's health. Good service from Expedia though as they got me refund for the second night. No refund from the hotel for the trouble for the first day though.
The building is run-down and looks like it hasn't been updated in decades. Wi-Fi was bad and breakfast was as basic as you'll find
Whole facility is dirty, toilet didn’t flush in the room and did not accommodate in another room. I left at night to find alternate accommodation. This facility should not be in operation while under renovation. They would not even refund me.
This is the dirtiest hotel we have ever been to, with broken ceiling, and even saw bugs in the bathroom. Sick! We will never come back again. What a mistake to stay here
Good looking
Very old and outdated. They are working on upgrades but pretty rough for now
Run down smelly and no one at the front desk when I tried to check in and change for dinner. Avoid at lest until they finish reno
Breakfast was terrible. The room was nasty esp the toilet & bath. The hotel is worn down, upkeeping is bad
This hotel is a bit old. Staying for a night is okay.
overall acceptable stay for short-notice booking
hotel under remodel so no water in hottub. outside pool closed. indoor pool had water but not sure if swim was available, but too busy to utilize it anyway. bathtub in room 148 could use some good scrubbing to get black stains out. Water pressure was good. room service excellent as daily by time back to room beds were made.
The carpet in the room felt damp. The complimentary breakfast had extremely limited options.
Mattress is too fluffy, air-conditioning to loud, had to tirn it off. Asked front desk to print 1 piece of paper, they said no
The property is very old and poorly maintained. For the price, it’s definitely not worth it. The entire place has a stingy feel, and the bathroom was the worst part – the water never drained properly, and there were stains all over. The room also had a strong moisture smell that was quite off-putting. I would not recommend staying here.
Probability the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I travel for business about 100 days a year so I have been in all sorts of hotels. This is the dirtiest place I can remeber. Stained carpets all over. dirty baths. only bread for breakfast. Sleeping under a bridge will be better. avoid if possible.
This property is under extreme renovations. We stayed during a peak time, so prices were quite high and the first hotel room was so bad we had to request a different room. The second room was much better but it had multiple issues, bathroom hadn't been completely cleaned, there was dust on the end tables and it felt dingy. In the main area, there is a nice pool that seems to be kept up well, but the hot tub is not functioning. Many of the elevators are not currently working and the steps are spiral which makes it more difficult to navigate if you have mobility issues. The lobby was clean and welcoming with a tv and comfortable seating. They had provided snacks for incoming Purdue students which we thought made it feel welcoming. The highlight was the manager, Marie. She was extremely kind and friendly. She was easy to work with to change our rooms and offered us free breakfast (we did not take her offer, so I can not tell you if it is good) There is a Walmart within a five minute walk as well as an Applebees. We chose not to stay for more than 1 night and moved to a different location. If you are willing to overlook quite a few things, and get a decent rate it may not be a bad place to stay: staff is friendly, location is good, but it is not for everyone.
Not great, but OK for a weekend
Hotel is going through some badly needed renovations. Our room was fine but less than outstanding. Family members had to get a new room due to plumbing issues. It was more expensive than I would have preferred to pay since it's not up to par, but with the university close, they must be able to get whatever they want for rates, especially during football season. People at the front desk were friendly, but that's the best thing I can say. There are a few convenient things around like Walmart across the street, Panera close too. Courtyard could be beautiful once renovations were done.
On its way to greatness.
This property is under major renovation. The one saving grace was the very hospitable and friendly manager on site: Marie. A very patient and understanding person. The beds were clean, the shower was warm but you have to understand that every room is basically being renovated right now so if you want a 5 star stay, this isn’t it……yet. It’s clear this property has been neglected but the new owners are getting it back in to shape. It takes time. I’ll give it 6 months. Until then, save a few bucks.
Should not be open for business
Photos online all looked good, the woman at check in was very friendly. But the entire hotel is under renovation. Ac is getting replaced, restaurant was closed, the hot tub had caution tape around it. The worst part was there was no running water in my shower, which I took video of. Part of the wallpaper was peeling and the hotel had a musky smell to it. I understand you are renovating but this hotel should not be open to the public before more is completed. I told the front desk employee when I checked out my shower didn’t work and she just said “okay”.
Convenient location to shops and restaurants
The property is under construction/remodel. I look forward to it's new look!
Very dirty phones pool tv did not work used soap left in our room and no toilet paper never again would I book here
False Advertising
We chose this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub. The pictures looked very nice. The website should have indicated that the pool and hot tub were closed for an extended period of time.
There were stains all over the floor, dirt and mud on the carpet. The bath room was disgusting, there was brown stuff in the toilet and the tub. There were construction workers everywhere. Overall, I did not feel safe. Immediately after seeing my room I went to the front desk and asked to check out because I would not be staying there. They only refunded me for one day instead of my 2 night stay. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
Staff was excellent. Service is good. The rules are nice and clean and even though they’re under construction, they’re doing their best to keep there guests happy can’t wait to see what comes of the new renovations
You get cereal only for breakfast
Cereals, slices of bread, and apples were the only things they offered at breakfast. The breakfast time was 7-10am and I went there at 8am, but I could only get cereal, not even water provided (I wonder if they were still preparing other dishes or not). Dog was barking all the time from next room.
Needs improvement
Room was filthy. 3 inches of dust under bed. Walls behind bed and behind fridge splattered with something. White substance dripped down fridge. No microwave at all. Bathroom floor was black around edges of white tile. White bathtub was yellow at the bottom. Used soap from previous guest left in shower. Hot tub and outdoor pool was closed. Hotel getting remodeled, no mention when I reserved it. Still no excuse for lack of house keeping. I complained to hotels dot com. They offered me $25 in One Key Cash which I have not received. Also, I have pictures but for whatever reason this ap is not allowing me to upload them.
Will be nice when rennovations are complete.
Indiana 2024
It was brought to my attention upon checking in that the motel was recently purchased and was undergoing renovation. There was going to be a lot of upgrades because of the age of the motel. I didn’t have any issues, but it definitely needs upgrading.
Place was run down. Broken lights in the pool area. Stains in hallway carpet, Not suitable for human habitat.
Under renovations
The hotel is undergoing much needed renovations. Only one elevator works. The hot tub is not in service. The pool is fine though. This is can be a great place to stay. The layout of the hotel is fabulous with the pool and hot tub in the middle of the atrium with all the rooms surrounding it. At the moment, this place is too pricey for the value
That particular location is under renovation. I think staff is doing they best to keeping it clean & safe for guests & staff.
Friendly staff
Breakfast was limited to toast, waffle, old looking yogurt or cereal. Sink tub and toilet were not cleaned and looked like the tub faucet was going to fall off. Peeling wallpaper. Bed was not comfortable. Probably very old. I have paid less for better hotels.
The place had a horrible smell, bathrooms where dirty rooms where dirty
The property is very run down. Outside is not taken care of at all. Trash was piling up at the front entrance! The room had been cleaned but only half way, we found hair in and around the tub. There were items under the bed. We took pictures to prove. There was mold in the corner of the room above the air unit and beside it, pictures of it as well. They said they are trying to redo it all but nothing on their website about any remolding excuse the mess everywhere! The only good and clean amenity was the pool that the kids really enjoyed. The staff was very great but it didn't excuse what our problems were.
Have stayed here several times. It's definitely affordable, but could use some updating.
The front desk hostess was very friendly. The bed clothes were clean, but the white tub was filthy and caked Brown from not being cleaned in ages. So bad that I used the bath mat in the shower. The shower curtain was filthy and moldy. The sink was filthy and layered with soap, hair, and other scum
No ‘Quality’ Inn
This Quality Inn in West Lafayette is in poor condition! Bath drains were clogged. In room phones were disconnected. In addition the room was dusty and the shower/bathtub was dirty. We were refused a change of room!! No vending machines or ice available.
Lack of breakfast choices
Terrible decision to stay here!
The room was dirty meaning the floors and carpeting were filthy. The bathroom tub did not drain properly. The air conditioning was not working. The elevator closest to our bedroom was out of order. The breakfast was a joke. There was no coffee.

Birthday stay
It was a nice clean room. The hotel was in the middle of a remodel. Hopefully they redo the shower in our room. One star shower experience
