Lovely hotel with beautiful, modern & comfy room. Well located near Haymarket but still very quiet. Comfy and classy - highly recommend.
room was nice, radiator was loud meaning we had to turn it off at night and it was very cold. staff were rude
Offered so much, provided so little!
Where to start. Room flooded on first morning as shower glass does not meet bath and sink did not drain away for close to 45 mins. And when I mean flooded, I mean flooded!! Reported to reception who clearly did not do anything about it and provide an update or offer alternative room, simply saying they would look into it. Three days on the trot for breakfast, buffet food, juices, bread for toast, all had to run out and had to wait for replacements after requests from the guests, not automatically done. Nice staff at breakfast but very young who clearly did not have a clue how to run an operation. If there was a manager, they need to have a look at themselves. One positive, is the room, bed etc was very nice but the overall experience was a t best disappointing, with no leadership. Will defo not go back there again, loads of other hotels in Edinburgh.
The property was clean, and tidy. Very modern We did not have hot water for two days and despite complaining multiple times we had no compensation for this, and given no alternative help. The property also states online they have limited parking however on arrival their car park was closed, however this was not stated anywhere on the booking
Room was spotless clean.bathroom spot on. Dining/lounge lovely, meals yum yum, staff great. No complaints.
Bedroom very stuffy and under the beds had not been cleaned for some time. In addition I found someone else’s underwear under the curtain!
Really nice and ideal for a short stay
Enjoyed our stay, the hotel was lovely, our queen room was perfect for what we needed for an overnight stay and hotel staff friendly and polite. We had breakfast included in our room but unfortunately we didn’t make it (overslept in the comfy bed). Only slight downside was the heat in the room, far too warm. The room was like an oven when we first arrived so turned the heating off for the rest of the stay and opened the window, but it didn’t cool down. Also the bar was closed when we returned back to the hotel that night at about 1130pm, which was a bit disappointing, however, there was a fridge at reception where you could buy bottles of beer and take back to your room. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would return.
Great location
Lovely hotel but the bath is dangerous no anti-slip inside so when you climb into it to use the shower with no grab rails you risk slipping while in it and when you climb out the risk of slip is even greater.
I enjoyed my stay at Four Points Sheraton in Haymarket. Ideal for a short stay in Edinburgh. Close to Haymarket station. Comfortable room, great breakfast, and pleasant and helpful staff. Will certainly consider staying here again.
Rooms are small.
I travel for work, and this was the worst hotel ive been to for getting sleep. The walls are thin, the doors dont reach the floor, and because there is no A/C, leaving the windows (which face a main road) open is necessary. Together, this made for an extremely noisy experience throughout the night, even with earplugs. In fairness, the location was very convenient being next to bus, train, and tram lines. The staff was professional, and the room was reasonably clean. However, the issues mentioned above overcame the good things about the hotel. It is surprising that Marriott would put their brand name on this hotel.
Nice dining and patio area. Staff were super friendly.
Terrible sleep. Mattress was hard like stone and the toilet seat had yellow stains. What more can I say? The price was very expensive for what we got. Definitely not staying there again .
Breakfast was great
Wonderful hotel!
We were attending an event near the hotel, and this hotel was perfect for that. Wonderful staff, clean and comfortable. Well worth the money!
Overall was a good stay! However, on multiple occasions staff would knock on our door and at one point did try to enter our room even though the do not disturb sign was on our door. Also, the house cleaner staff were very loud in the hallways making a lot of access noise banging around and such. Making it hard to get rest past 7:00am. Staff were very friendly though and helpful when needed!
The hotel is in need of repair, filthy bathrooms. Do not stay here. The bathrooms are covered with black mildew in the showers and on the tile floors. The rooms need updating as well and are very small.
Wouldn't stay again! Over priced
Toilet seat hanging of the hinges- reported to reception temp fix put in place. Unsafe bath/shower due to lack of adhesives causing one of the party to slip and injure themselves. Reception informed on check out appeared not bothered. Fire alarm at midnight due to someone "showering to long" fire door at back of property required brut forces to open - someone frail would not have been able to do this Poorly organised at evacuation. Reception staff on check in not bothered about customer experience or their communication
Central, convenient and comfortable
perfect location , close to tram and buses.
The room was quite roomy for the UK. We appreciated the quiet and the proximity to the buses and tram. It was an enjoyable stay.
great staff
Been on twenty trips in the last 12 months and this is probably the friendliest staff I have come across.
It was disappointing and really not up to the mark. And value for money also was not received.
Nice hotel in great location, poor reception staff
Nice and clean hotel located in a prefect location within the city. With the tram station just outside the hotel, it is very easy to get into the busy part of town (only 2 stops away) for only £2 per person. Downside of the hotel was its reception staff, upon check-in there was no welcome or pleasantries. When I asked a question regarding local parking or the best way to visit the xmas market I got no assistance of guidance and where just told to look online. Upon check-out, the same laddie was on duty. We left our room at 8:30am with our overnight bag to put into the car before going for our breakfast within the hotel but the receptionist laddie followed us out to the car and proceeded to shout at my wife asking if we are checking out and then continued to stand and watch us come back to the hotel. This was the worst welcoming and most intimidating experience at a Hotel I have ever had, and I travel for a living. Such a shame this one member of staff can spoil a hotel reputation.
Lovely hotel, very good location.
Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable My only issue was they were quite dark. Breakfast was poor, we went around 30-40 minutes before this was due to finish and most food had gone.
The hotel overall was very presentable however they need to sort out the maintenance. The radiators were very very noisy, indicating that they possibly need to be bled to remove the air from the heating system. Woke my partner and I numerous of times during the night. The reception lady that was working on Saturday morning (03/12/23) was very rude and clearly didn't want to assist any customers. At 9:30am I asked her once we check out if it was possible to leave our luggage with the hotel as our flight wasn't until the evening. She said yes, upon coming back from breakfast and packing our bags at 11am, she completely didn't want to help to us to leave the bags at the hotel, told us that hotel was full and they couldn't. When I prompted her with the previous conversation we had and asked what changed between the last hour and half, she reluctantly took our bags and stored them in the office. Upon returning and asking her for our bags, she was trying to play dumb and act like she didn't know who we were and was asking us where she kept our bags. It really left a sour taste in our mouths.
An. excellent stay. I will definitely return.
Staff were great breakfast was good but no labels on hot food containers so you have to open each one to know the contents. No plates for cold food when I got there and it hadn't been spotted by the staff. The room was said to be a 'city view' when it was actually a view of a small staff parking area. The bed was right up against the window with a 'board' covering half the window.
Couldn’t find fault
Check in quite unfriendly and unpersonal, heavy roadworks causing noise
Property advertises a gym, but is not in the premises.
The room was small, found it VERY difficult to get down one side of the bed, the thermostat for the heating was broken which meant the room got incredibly hot, with no option other than to open all the windows. At one point I was sleeping on the tiled bathroom floor to escape the heat!
Despite having a reservation when we turned up at the hotel we were told the hotel was full and they booked us at a "comparable" hotel. That comparable hotel was about 4 miles outside central Edinburgh. The two people who came after us they managed to find rooms for as we waited in the lobby to be taxied to the "comparable" hotel. Frankly outrageous behavior and I would not trust them with reservations.
Booked city view room - on arrival given view of back of property. Went to reception before settling in and told no city view rooms available and to try the next day, told the same 2 more days in a row. Then told to take this up with Expedia so gave up asking. Clean room on arrival, tablet asking if you’d like daily room cleaning/ towels which we opted for. Room cleaned after the first night but then had to ask reception for clean towels 2 days in a row after getting back in the evenings. Then had to remind the front desk to clean the room each day on leaving. Loud noises of bins/ glass being emptied from back of property if window opened into the night. Some of the outside sound was from nearby roadworks but a lot was not. Rooms not properly sound proofed - door banging was heard constantly from early hours. Only real plus was that the hotel is located in Haymarket with car park and easy access to city centre and restaurants.
Great staff
Room nice, quiet location. Tub needs grab bars
Staff was friendly and helpful. The only down side on the room is that the show over the tub was difficult to get into because it was so high and there are no grab bars to steady yourself.
Hotel service is mediocre. Housekeeping doesn’t do good job. They leave clean towels on dirty carpet. They don’t vacuum floor carpet. Staff is non English speaking and do not understand bases of cleanliness
Basic, expensive hotel
Small room-+no comfortable chair. Close to public transit. Expensive, but limited restaurant
Quiet.. staff friendly and helpful.
Staff was very helpful
Great
V helpful staff, good location
Excellent stay
The breakfast and breakfast staff were awesome! The front desk staff was also excellent. The beds were too firm.
Close to the train and bus stop, close to Tesco store for snacks and sandwichs etc
Good location
Very convenient location close to Haymarket
Veldig høy pris for denne standarden. Bedre ha kostet halvparten.
Bra hotel!
Bra rum. Väldigt trevlig personal! Bra läge. Frukosten var sådär.
Edinburgh deneyimi

Nice stay but not great breakfast
Friendly staff, quick bar service, clean, comfortable rooms. Let down by the breakfast. There were no sausages or bacon available and the scrambled eggs were powdered
