Good hotel with excellent service
Excellent stay at a very relaxing hotel with excellent service and cleanliness. The only slight down side is the distance from the centre of Hua Hin, but some decent restaurants close by. Can highly recommend.
Beautiful environment ,friendly & courteous staff . Although the breakfast is simple but delicious ,the location will be a bit quiet ,but there are also many nearby restaurants ,which are generally good accommodation
Perfect breakfast and friendly staff
services is very good. The facilities is in good condition also. Whole hotel only have total of 5 room. The room is spacious.
Friendly & helpful staff. Location was a little inconvenient
The Gold Standard.
My third time staying at Dune, and it is just as good as it has always been. A small hotel, just 5 rooms,I think I have stayed in a different room each time and they are all excellent. This time I was in one, on the ground floor with it's own small plunge pool. All the comforts you would expect, and all working and in good order. Big pool next door for you to use, right on the beach. Two drawbacks, first there is no lift so anyone with mobility issues may have problems, though the staff are kind and always on hand to help. Second is the location which is about a mile from the main town, again no problem for me but if you are less mobile it can be quite a walk, you can ask for a taxi, as I did, but of course this comes at a cost, so maybe a factor if you are on budget. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the place, everything here is just perfect. Book with confidence, as there is nowhere better in Hua Hin...
Staff are nice. Breakfast is excellent and located at the roof top. Public swimming pool at roof top too. Only 5 rooms in total and we are booking the room with private pool which is room 1. It’s was great. Need to walk to the Main Street. There are 7-11 and pizza company at the Main Street. Closed to the beach.
Nice hotel with friendly stuffs and beach fronting as a bonus
Nice Stay
Very nice and comfortable place to stay. All staffs are very kind and helpful. The place is near to the beach and few nice restaurants nearby. The breakfast was nice and fresh as well. It’s a place I will recommend to my friends and family.
Nice & clean
Good location for relax with family. Good bed and bathroom is very nice
Way out of the way! and dated.
The posted pictures are not a good representation of the hotel. Very dated. Our patio was unappealing with old lounge that had cigarette burns. The room was clean and comfortable with huge bathroom/shower (bathroom updated). A long walk to coffee shop/restaurants if you enjoy walking! Away from all tourist attractions and main restaurants. Breakfast was very good and breakfast staff very friendly and accommodating!
Heaven by the sea
Just divine, spacious room, beautiful pool, and peace and quiet surroundings
What a lovely place!
Terrific location & hotel. If you have the chance for Room 1, take it. This room has its own private pool & outside entrance. The room is spacious. The included breakfast is just right. Great location out of the hubbub & bustle of downtown & not near the mega hotels. A 15 minute walk takes you to the highlights.
Perfect in every way.
Fantastic small hotel, just a short walk to the main town and right on the beach. Only 5 rooms, mine was number 5. Bright and roomy, with a large TV, really comfortable bed, and all the things you could need for your stay. including a large bathroom with both a shower and a stand alone bath Anything missing and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The restaurant on the top floor serves tasty meals including breakfast which was all fresh and perfectly presented. There is a large pool just across the soi, with luxurious sun loungers, which has panoramic views of the bay. Because the hotel is so small, you will most likely be the only one there. If you are looking for a hotel in Hua Hin, I can safely say this is the hotel for you, whoever you are, or what your needs. Make your reservation and relax.
Dune Hua Hin @ Hua Hin...
The hotel is small, 5 rooms but I like small boutique style hotels. There is easy beach access and the main swimming pool is not only lovely but well maintained. It is best to have transportation while staying there but the city of Hua Hin is an easy walk and there are some wondersful seafood and thai restaurants within a short walking distance. Breakfasts are good with an Ok selection. The staff is friendly and try to accommodate all request.
Good location & quiet.
Overall is over my expectation e.g. Location, room, staff and food. I'll come back to stay here again surely. You shouldn't miss it!!!
relaxing
Wonderful hotel, excellent staff, amazing accommodation.cannot fault this place at all.Hall.Highly recommend.
Too expensive for what it has to offer
Staff was nice and helpful but they could only do that much. A few turn offs: first, the suite was not a suite, didn't have a kitchen or a range, just a regular room. Not even a small hallway or dining area, no silverware, plates, nothing. The room had a small pool by itself but mosquitos made it unusable. The hotel in general had a huge mosquito problem, there were hundreds everywhere, perhaps management hasn't found out yet that mosquito repellents have actually been invented. Also, the toilet had problems from the beginning and they were never fixed. Another big NO NO is that the bathroom didn't have proper lighting. I have yet to see a hotel or even a motel that doesn't have good lighting at the mirror, especially when there is no natural light inside. I do suggest the manager to go and try to shave in that bathroom...I had to use a flashlight to at least have an idea of what I was doing, worse than when you go camping in the woods somewhere! The restaurant had shockingly few options available for breakfast and for anything else in fact. They can improve big time on this. Also, there is no beach anywhere close, you need to get a taxi or some other transportation till the central beach (Hua Hin beach), the closest. When you are located so remotely, any respectable expensive hotel would make sure they at least have free transportation available, but no, not only they don't but if they call you a taxi it takes forever to come and you pay big bucks! It's a 2.5/5 at best!
Perfect stay in Hua Hin!
Our stay at Dune was really more then we could have asked for on our honeymoon. If privacy and customer service are important to you, you'll adore this hotel. It's located at about a 20 minute walk from town, which in our opinion was far enough from the noise but still easy to travel down to. Our favourite parts? The breakfast with a view (the restaurant/bar on the top floors), the pool next door that looked over a more private stretch of the beach, and of course waking up to large palm trees at our windows and the sound of the ocean. The staff were also extremely pleasant and helpful - they even packed us a mini breakfast on the one morning we were heading out early on a day trip. Would highly recommend this place - can't wait to go back!
Staff are very friendly and helpful
Lovely staff nice and clean room close to the beach quite
Very nice hotel with big room. Nice swimming pool in neighborhood A little bit far from the market ( Resto, local life)
Comfy and quiet place.
quiet and nice place to stay. Good view at the rooftop, where you can see stars and enjoy your drinks with your love one.
Brilliant hotel near town centre
The hotel exceeded expectations. Lovely large room looking towards the sea with a daybed on balcony which was great for lounging. They even provided a fan for the balcony so that you could keep cool. The rooftop pool is great for cocktails in the evening and the large pool in the owner's house next door looks onto the sea and has plenty of loungers, parasols and daybeds. With only five rooms in the hotel, you will always have plenty of space. If peace and quiet is your thing, you will love this. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk into the town centre or you can catch the local taxi outside for 10 Bhat per person. The hotel has a lovely rooftop terrace for drinks or dining with great views over Hua Hin. We had dinner there a couple of times and they couldn't do enough for us. In fact, all the staff were just fantastic and would go out of their way to help. I cannot have processed sugar in my diet and they sourced organic natural yoghurts for me and cold-pressed a vegetable and fruit juice for me to have at breakfast time so that it would be lower in sugar than regular fruit juice. Nothing was too much trouble! Overall, a fantastic time and we will be back when next in Hua Hin.
Nice and comfy hotel near the beach.
Feel like home. Locate in very quiet area. If you fell like you need peace and quiet, you might like this hotel. I quite surprise that face that hotel operate almost 10 years already, the room still look nice and neat. Staffs are friendly. Food is exquisite. Recommenced.
Nice staffs, comfortable room
I stayed one night, the room is relaxing with nice view outside
An excellent choice for relaxing
We took this hotel as an offer through Expedia very reasonable price as it ranked top hotel . And indeed we were so happy to spend there two nights. The hotel is on the very quiet part of the city just one min walk from the beautiful beach and tranquility and warm sea water. The design is very modern and comfortable, staff are very friendly including the hotel owner who assisted us in finding a plAce to hike and even dropped us in the city center . Breakfast is very personal great attention to details. In summary I want to go there again!
Great small hotel
We enjoyed a 4 night stay at Dune. The staff attention was great as were all the facilities. The beautiful pool next door was an unexpected bonus. Although it's a decent walk to the night market area, it didn't bother us. We hired a scooter for the last day which the hotel organised. We would definitely stay there again.
a delightful stay in Dune
We stayed in Dune for 3 nights and the experience were awesome. All staffs are very friendly and helpful there, we felt the warmth from them since we arrived and the receptionist lady welcomed us at the gate. The hotel is much more beautiful than it shown in the photos or I would say the photos are hardly capture it's beauty. Our room is very spacious clean,well-designed.The room is sea view which is very breezeful and we enjoyed just sitting there in the balcony. Location is great too as it 's away from the main street but walkable distance to minivan station, and just 1 minute walk to the beach. The motorbike renting in the hotel is also recommended as the price and the bike condition are both very good. I would like to thanks all the staffs in Dune for what they helped me to prepare a birthday cake for my boyfriend especially the receptionist lady who stayed late for us.we really really APPRECIATED your kindness preparation and the cake was super lovely and yummy. We wish we could have stayed longer and wish to stay in this warm petit hotel again soon.
Little Gem Boutique Hotel In Hua Hin
The staff were very friendly and delightful. I would highly recommend to stay there (especially room number Four) if anyone ever travels down to Hua Hin for their holiday!
Unexpected treasure in Hua Hin!
Fantastic little boutique hotel few miles north of center of town. Able to rent motor scooter from hotel directly, because it is a bit far to walk to town everyday. Very large and clean rooms, excellent pools, 2 of them (large one is across the alley and extremely nice and private) Overall highly recommended for some needed R&R.
nice staff and good service but the resort is not spacious
Superb hotel in Hua Hin
A great hotel with just 5 rooms, situated outside of the busy central area of the town but within easy walking distance. Private pool next door to the hotel and access to a quiet area of the beach this is perfect for any solo traveler or couple visiting Hua Hin. The staff are very helpful and a pleasure to speak to.
Lovely boutique hotel
Gorgeous rooms, lovely location near the beach. Near enough to walk into town but away from the noise. Staff were delightful.
Great hotel, boutique hotel
Stayed 3 nights and had a great time.. Highly recommend this hotel, staff were all friendly and very helpful.. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Hua Hin
great retreat at dune!
Nice cosy hotel tucked amidst very good local restaurants..
Very recommended hotel in Hua Hin!
Nice location and very friendly staff there. The weather was not that sunny so we went to the swimming pool for fun and it was great. You can see the sea although you're in the swimming pool. The sky bar is a mini one but really relaxing, which is good for people who just want to have drinks with close friends to stay. Also the breakfast was good. My friend and I enjoyed our stay there!
What a gem. Definitely a treasure.
The hotel's slightly petite appearance left us puzzled initially when we arrived. However the moment we entered our rooms, we were reminded why it was a boutique hotel in the very first place. Great team work of the hotel staff to help maintain the cosy, calm, and modern designed rooms to its maximum comfort. The feel we got during our stay was excellent. We looked forward to coming 'home' to our hotel every evening. Transportation in and around Hua Hin was well-assisted by the hotel's staff. We are very, very pleased. Thank you all. We'll come back again.
Lovely quiet hotel
Loved staying in this small hotel(5 rooms) just on the outskirts of Hua Hin. Our room was large & with all the facilities you needed. The pool that we could use in the adjacent property was fantastic. Staff were delightful & breakfast service great, everything cooked to order. It was at least a 20 min walk into the main centre, but you can jump on the songthaews that come past the hotel & only cost 10 baht each.
Great Hotel on the Beach
Fantastic boutique hotel on the beach. Only 5 rooms so not crowded and great service when required. In addition to the Bar Pool, you also have use of the very large pool across the narrow alley (owners private pool). Highly recommended.
Ideal for everybody
This is the perfect example of how a hotel should be. Though small, only 5 rooms, there is nothing this hotel lacks. My room was huge, large enough for anyone I would have thought. Room 5 at the top of the hotel, with a fantastic view of the sea and beach from the balcony. Had all the traveller could ask, an extensive in room audio video experience large TV, excellent and free WiFi, large comfy bed and an enormous bathroom with a shower that was a consistent temperature both day and night. There is a small restaurant, which doubles as the breakfast room, and above that a rooftop terrace to spend the evenings on. There are two pools, one just beside the bar is perhaps a plunge pool, and the main pool which is across the small road and a part of the owners property, is a fantastic spot and again right on the beach. Hua Hin has a vast array of places to stay, but I doubt you will find anywhere as good as the Dune. Boutique hotels can offer so much more than any large chain, and you overlook them at your peril. If you are staying in Hua Hin then this is the hotel you want. Make your booking now before everyone learns the secret.
Classy Hotel
This was a very classy, boutique hotel. The proximity to downtown Hua Hin was good. The service was outstanding and the staff very friendly. The rooftop bar has great views of the surrounding area and the menu had a great variety of meal choices. I will stay here again.
Spacious and Quiet
Within Walking distance to centre of town (Approximately 15-20min), rooms are huge and peaceful.... There is a few cafes nearby which is worth the visit and also a local restaurant next door call baan Itsara serves really good seafood.... Do try there basil pesto with clams
Friendly hotel
The room is very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is good. Hotel swimming pool is small but there's a big swimming pool across street, customer can use it. Unfortunately the Hotel is a little far away downtown, sometime we walked around 30mins(but it was very casual). The Hotel doen't have elevator, you have to carry your luggage up and down stairs. Hotel staff is kindness, and Hotel is very quite at night. All facilities in the room worked well, can't control TV very easily, controller need to be improved. I will come back next time.
Amazing service with great rooms
The staff at the hotels were very welcoming and were very responsive to guest's needs. Breakfast was very nice yet slightly few choice but overall very nice. will come again
A tranquil oasis close enough to the city center
A beautiful boutique hotel - we stayed in "room one" which was exceptional ! The staff was very accomendating and friendly and hotel was very clean. The beach, however, was not easily accesable. The food was excellent as well. The roof top bar provides an excellent view of the surrounding area and ocean. An abosoultely perfect location for 5 couples to have a great "big chill" holiday at as there are only 5 rooms! Loved it and would recommend it as well.
Enjoyable stay in hua hin
Hotel suite with plunge pool was excellent choice, everything nice and fresh as had recently been renovated.Hotel location was just a little too far from main tourist/restaurant area if walking unfortunately otherwise need to take tuk-tuk.
Fantastic hotel, if a little walk from the centre
This is one of those rare experiences where the actual hotel was better than the photos and reviews. It was really well priced and a fantastic modern hotel. The restaurant was good but very expensive by Thai standards but there are loads of restaurants in Hua Hin. It is a bit of a walk to the centre of the town but a taxi costs around 150 baht (£3) so not too bad but if you prefer to be very close to the centre this is not the place for you. The hotel is on the beachfront but the beach was a bit dirty so best to go further down the coast for a beach. All that said, we loved it because of the modern decor, attentive staff, facilities and we were happy to walk to the restaurants, shops and beach.
Near Perfect
Amazing position, right on the beach in the best area of Hua Hin. Wonderful sea views from rooms, including the wet room, and from the luxurious roof top bar/pool. Fantastic pool next door of which we had sole use. Some of the best restaurants are within walking distance. Only quibble was smallish breakfasts. A great place to relax after the chaos of Bangkok.Would certainly return!
Nice quiet boutique hotel near beach..
The Dune is a little out of town center but that's a good thing. It is a really small place - only 5 rooms showing on the web site. We had a Deluxe room (mid grade) and there is only one room that is higher class - the single suite with a pool! The hotel is very stylish and the room was spacious and comfortable with a private balcony w/couch. Bath tub huge and shower stall too. Nice audio features - iPod dock and stereo system with speakers in bathroom too. Staff was nice and private parking is provided. There is a small pool on 4th fl and you can walk across the small entry road to the owner's residence to use their large pool/garden too! Short walk to beach as well. The roof bar is very nice too. The only weakness was breakfast where we could not seem to get a soft egg (how hard is that?) no matter how we ordered. Strangely the scrambled eggs were soft! Staff is friendly and the hotel is truly boutique and very romantic and quiet, so great for a getaway. Not far from BKK too, and the Hua Hin town is not too drastically tourist-y, with a nice night market and even a little shopping mall.
Positive and negative
Easy walk to centre of town and good restaurants in the area. Only negative would be that the beaches in the area are poor quality, so would not revisit the district.
fantastic rooms but a bit away from city centre
very good htl with one of the best rooms i've stayed in.lovely restaurant and bar on the roof with a great view.its about 15mins to city centre by taxi and the area around the hotel is very quiet.would stay again
Dune hotel...hua Hin Thailand
This is the 3rd time I have stayed here and enjoy it each time...... 5 rooms, well furnished...2 pools and a lovely roof top bar/restaurant....... a litle far... about 2 km.... to walk to town. The only issues are 1) its not suitable for those who cant walk 3 /4 flights of stairs to the restaurant, upper guest rooms 2) if the two lovely front desk girls are absent, usuall there 7am to 9pm.... the other night staff on the desk don't speak much English....over all recommended.
very nice hotel, very friendly personnel , beautiful terrace(breakfast)... > super!
good location
on beach very quiet but close to town resonable value.
Chic Oasis
The Dune is a wonderful home base in Hua Hin. Rooms are large and gorgeous with great amenities and outdoor space, and the staff is so welcoming and really make every effort to make your stay wonderful. When I was there, I did not see the tide low enough for there to be a beach near the hotel, and it's a 20 min walk to the big town beach, though the the hotel will call a tuktuk if you ask and it is fast and costs 100 baht. I didn't mind being out of the main drag and felt that the superior room was worth it, but for those who want to be closer to the main beach, it may not be for you. I would definitely go back and recommend it highly!
Nice room and great service staff.Unfortunately, too many mosquitoes and TV programmes all in thai language.
Celebrate Classic and private time here
all everything in the hotel look perfect and great , My family really have a great time there,it's nice for someone that like to have a real holiday ,very quite and private .We really like it and will come back again. Thanks for a wonderful time there
Dune, Hua Hin
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a very good experience and very relaxing. The food was great, and it was like a small family ! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves good food and a relaxing vacation !
This hotel is just brilant!!!
Heaven
This is an absolutely fantastic hotel for those that want a true boutique experience. Friendly helpful staff, a great room - honestly I'd be back in a flash
Great Experience
A family of four (kids 7 and 4) stayed for a few nights at the top floor, just below the pool and restaurant. Since we were the only guests at the time, I can't comment about party noise. The hotel is immaculately kept, aesthetically stylish and has employed very good natured staff. Sitting on the rooftop, with 360 degree views, was a delight. To get to the town, you could walk for 20 min or ride a tuk tuk for 100 baht. For those who want to stay in town, this hotel is not for you. If you want to be away from the center of town but have the option of easy access, the location is great. True, you can't swim at the beach where the hotel is located. That made no difference to us - the sound of the sea and balcony views more than compensated.
Perfekt hoteæ
Perfekt service Perfekt værelse God morgenmad
Neues elegantes Hotel
Neues, sehr stilvolles Hotel mit nur 5 Zimmer und einem Pool auf dem Dach Mitarbeiter alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, grosses Kompliment
Lovely quiet hotel with good service
The service and friendliness of the staff was great and the nice peaceful a la carte breakfast was very enjoyable. The building is not new anymore and not having the roof terrace in use (the furniture was covered at least during the day) was a slight disappointment.
dejligt ophold
dejligt sted, lidt ude for byen, dog ikke længere end man kan gå ca 10 min, dejligt fredeligt om aftenen, skøn udsigt fra spisestedet som var på tagetagen, dejligt sødt personale, skønt sted med kun 5 rum.
Still a nice hotel, but you start to see the lack off maintanance. I’still say this is good value for money.
Dune Huahin in Songkran
Clean and Cozy and Lovely
Sehr stylisches Hotel.
Only 5 rooms, no lift and if you've lots of luggage and can't walk stairs, not recommended. Staffs are helpful and breakfast is good.

Not a great stay
Lots of mosquitoes that disrupted our sleep. Requested to change room to a higher floor for our second night but was other rooms reserved for customers checking in. Bed is hard and pillows too soft. Locations is off, far from the city and have to walk quite a distance to find food. Close to beach but when tide comes in, beach is not accessible.
