Room was clean and basic
My stay was excellent from check in to check out. The staff was lovely
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful during my stay. They were accommodating and attentive to my needs.
Worst trip and stay of my life
Extremely cold room with no heat. Was shivering in cold till found out, no central heat, had to request heater and found that all staff is using heaters. No follow up after any requests. Terrible and expensive food. Would Never go to Bermuda or this hotel.
next to all the best beaches!
Place was beautiful. Enjoyed our stay & are looking forward to returning
We visited there off season. Therefore was very. Property was very neat. Nicely decorated and cozy. Good location. Feels very safe. Easy access to transportation and food market. I would come again. Loved it.
Michelle and Trish were very friendly and helpful. The views, food and location were excellent. We suggest trying Woody’s, Coconuts, the Paraquet, and Wahoo’s Bistro and Patio.
Very unreliable WiFi! Dated property.
Very beautiful and relaxing. Staff at resort was very friendly and helpful, Having another mirror outside the bathroom would be very helpful when 2 people are getting dressed. The only main thing we had trouble with was the long walk up and down the hill from the resort to the bus stop and market.
We liked the location, we wanted beach side and the beach was beautiful. The property, although beautiful, does come with some elevations to it, my husband has bad knees and it was a little difficult. I think they could offer more assistance getting out to the bus stop and back, it's quite a walk. I think the beach chairs and umbrellas are showing wear. The pool was clean, the room was nice, the bar and restaurant staff we also very nice. Kia was most helpful at the front desk and informed me of the free round of golf. We definitely enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxingly.
Pleasantly surprised .. my room was not ready at the 3:00 check in time .. but the rest of my time there was very good .. staff is great.
A tidy property offering a beachfront experience at great value, cozy and clean accommodation with super friendly staff, and ocean view dining. An excellent find!
1⭐️ Food quality and wait for said food. No gym. Outdated bathrooms. Although hopefully they’ll renovate them after they’re done renovating rooms. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Location. Clean and beautiful beach. PS. Whatever you’re paying your manager, give him a raise, he’s the only person there that keeps things running. He’s everywhere helping everyone and fixing all mistakes.
Although the renovated room was lovely and had a fresh/clean look, I'm not a fan of the 1/2 glass wall instead of a shower door or curtain. The water goes everywhere. Coco Reef has a lovely pool along with a small and gorgeous beach both of which offer plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Neither were crowded in late September. Stairs leading to Elbow Beach provide the opportunity for a longer walk and calmer waters for swimming or snorkeling. Staff are friendly, especially the dining room staff. It is a hilly property, as many are in Bermuda.
We had a wonderful stay at Coco Reef for our anniversary trip and highly recommend it. Dinner was walkable at the Parakeet and the snorkeling on the beach was incredible. Sye at the front desk was very kind and informative. We will definitely be back!
This was my first time in Bermuda, but after the last 3 days , it definitely won’t be my last. Everything, from the resort staff to the food to the sights around the island (it’s only 21 square miles big) to the friendliness of the people, was unforgettable. People who have visited Bermuda before know what I mean. Those who haven’t should most definitely give it a shot.
Great place
Beautiful and Quiet!
Nice and quiet location. Not crowded and right on the beach - about 20-30 steps to get down to beach. Beautiful location. Pool is very clean and very relaxing. The rooms have been recently updated. Never heard anyone in another room. Patio opens up right to the sounds and views of the beach. You can’t access the beach directly from the room, but have to take the walkway about 20 yards to get to one of the most secluded beaches in Bermuda. Overall a great stay. There is a restaurant on location and another restaurant just down the beach. A grocery store about a 10 minute walk up the hill if you need to buy any food or refreshments. Area is very safe.
Overall we liked Coco Reef due to it being close to the beach and also away from a lot of tourists. We liked the renovated room but the air conditioning needs to be improved or fixed since even though we set it to 69, the room never got colder than 71-72 which is too warm. Had issues getting beach towels since were always out of them. They need to do more renovations since the walkway to the beach is dangerous and the wooden steps needs to be replaced. Also, need better walkways to the hotel rooms from the main entrance/lobby and better lighting on those walkways. The restaurant at Cooo Reef was very good! We did not like the Euro shower since water from the shower was going everywhere. A free shuttle to the bus stop would be helpful since it's a long walk from Coco Reef to that bus stop.
Great beach ,property should utilize the amenities on the beach. Could definitely use a better vibe
Breakfast was excellent. The dinner was poor. Not many options. Not tasty
property is on the beach
Wonderful staff and a BEAUTIFUL beach!
The ocean view is outstanding . Second time staying at this resort. Not far from the capital Hamilton. The staff members are friendly. We will definitely go back!
Ease to beach was great and staff were accommodating. Air-conditioning was very loud and made it hard to sleep at night.
Not clean. The outside property is wonderful but they should offer a transportation from the bus stop at the bottom of the hill to the hotel.
Loved the beachfront, people and staff are amazing.
Totally serviceable small resort with a lovely beach. The exterior, outdoor furniture, lobby and patio are all showing their age. That said - the beach is great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very nice Hotel and staff were great
Beautiful beach but not enough amenities. One restaurant that was quite expensive and set times which make it very inconvenient. Buffet only style lunch at $35 US per person. Take note, there is a market 5 minutes away so I recommend stocking snacks etc in your room. The beach was beautiful though and private which was lovely. You can walk for along time and not see a soul.
Very nice
The room excluding the bathroom was nicely upgraded. Not much in the way of property amenities but the beach was very nice as you would expect a Bermuda beach should be. Not much to do in the general area but the Bermuda bus system is within a reasonable walking distance to Hamilton or the Dockyards. The bottom line is it’s a good value for the money spent but it could be much better.
Wonderful service
Arrived at Bermuda for a wedding, the hotel made me feel so welcome and at home. Stunning views from the rooms. The cleaners were always around to tidy the room their service was amazing.
No Information Hotel
Just a Bed with good view of a beautiful ocean, restaurant n food awful. Drinks at bar average. No information on hotel when you arrive. 11$ for two bottles of water and they add the the tip in bill. Spackle n paint all over floors n terrace. Only hotel that runs out beach towels. Cater to cruise ship one day passes. So pool and beach get over run . Awful experience
The location was incredible, the amenities not so much….. beach towels were scarce, food was mediocre. The resort hosts manyday pass holders so it can get overly crowded. The room was clean and comfortable. Over all the resort was under renovations, but there was no price reduction of the nightly rate.
Property is close to the beach and having access to a private beach that is quiet and not crowded in Bermuda is a great feeling. The property is also maintained well, swimming pool always clean and the grounds well maintained and beautiful. The issues we had were really with food and transportation. The food at the on-site restaurant was average. The people were trying to be very helpful, but when we went for dinner, the place was understaffed, One person handled the entire dining area. We waited for 1.5 hours for dinner, and the food was just ok. There are two other options near by - the good one , Paraquet, is at a distance where it is too silly to call a taxi. You can walk, but this was difficult for us since we had to walk in the hot sun, sweating, with kids that were just too tired. Which brings me to transportation. Buses are easy and cheap, but the but stop at the entrance of the hotel is a bit of a walk along a long pathway through Bermuda college. you could do it in the morning, but after a day full of activities, it is hard to walk back in the heat with kids in tow. Taxis are available but expensive. If the resort could provide better options for food and a shuttle from the hotel entrance to the bus stop at the main road, I would probably stay here again.
We wanted room service for food and coffee in the morning. If there is more staff it would probably work out.
The ocean is in your front yard. Susie, Mavis, Gregory and the front desk are awesome!! This is over 10 years we’ve been there and would highly recommend.
We had two of the renovated rooms. They were clean and modern. The property felt safe and was central to both ends of the island. We could walk to The Marketplace to grab snacks and drinks, then rented scooters to traverse the rest of the island. I would definitely stay at Coco Reef again!
Loved the Coco Reef! Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location on the ocean with seemingly every newly remodeled room having an ocean view. It is also centrally located on the island with a bus stop right at the hotel entrance and walking distance to a market. We also enjoyed breakfast each morning overlooking the ocean at the hotel restaurant. We would stay here again on this beautiful island.
Great place to stay!
Can't Beat Coco Reef
My stay was absolutely amazing!!! Not only were the views and private beach to die for, the service was top notch!! I had an electric rental car and the staff went above and beyond any expectations in helping me get it charged. They didnt hesitate to come grab my bags upon check out to save me the hile up the hill. And the beach 😍😍😍
The property could be maintained a little bit better. Also, the restaurant took almost 2 hours to get our food out to us and was super expensive and closed early. It is nice that there is a bus stop about a 10 minute walk down to the main road. Room was newly remodeled and the private beach was beautiful. The staff were super friendly. I would stay again.
Great property with beautiful views. Only there are a lot of hills to navigate. But call front desk and they will pick you up. Dining room has same menu for all meals.
great location. spectacular view and beach. room was clean and comfortable. hotel definitely needs some tlc. we did not dine at the hotel. the views and private beach area make up for the hotels shortfalls
We really loved our stay in Bermuda.
If you're looking for tranquil beautiful beach with incredible views look no further.. the beach is absolutely gorgeous .. I think it's got to be one of the longest beaches in Bermuda and great for a long morning walk. There was always chairs and umbrellas available. The hotel is under renovation and when it's finished it's probably going to be the best place to stay in the entire Island. The staff is exceptional. Shout out to Gregory and Noah .The front desk staff was extremely helpful. The general manager is on the property and very invested in making this a top notch resort.Food like everywhere in Bermuda was expensive but very good.. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and definitely will when I return .
The beach and water was terrific. The food was expensive and mostly did not live up to the price
The property is stunning! It is very hilly so you do need to hike around a bit, which we actually liked. Staff was amazing all round! Only issue we had, was that they put us in a room(which we absolutely loved btw) right next to a room being blown out construction wise. My spouse and I are pretty relaxed but I can pretty much guarantee that would have been a big issue for most folks. Front desk promised they would finish by 5pm but were there banging, whistling and sawing until 7pm on a Monday night. Even with that…..we would still love to come back!
Our stay at Covo Reef Resort was relaxing and enjoyable. The resort sits on a private corner of Elbow Beach offering magnificent views of the ocean and a nice alternative to the busier parts of the island. We covered the 21 mile island on a rented scooter and found the resort’s location perfectly in the middle of all that you’d want to experience on Bemuda.
Great location for an Ocean Front Bermuda Holiday
Excellent Location, Wonderfully attentive staff, newly renovated rooms. Right above beautiful Elbow Beach
Coco Reef is a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous beach. They have renovated most of their rooms. The front desk staff was not the best. Very friendly but did not follow through after saying they would take care of something. The cleaning staff was fabulous and very helpful. Grocery store down the street was convenient. We will definitely be back :)
We had a nice stay and it is the most affordable beachfront property. Facilities are a bit dated and while staff is very friendly, if you like a lot of amenities, this isn’t the place. Bar had weird hours, beachfront/poolside service was sporadic and food options limited.
Staff very accommodating!
Over all, property is clean, quiet, safe, friendly staff. Will come back and stay here again.
Great location/ok room
The room was old design and the bathroom had hair all over the walls and tub. Other parts of the hotel did have renovated rooms, but ours was not. We did love the location and view. The beach was clean and peaceful. The restaurant had a few good menu choices. The bartender was great. He gave us a few ideas on where to go for night life and restaurants in Hamilton
Anniversary 50
Great view and Beach. Exhibited some rehabilitation pains. Over all a lovely Anniversary long weekend
The staff were amazing, really helpful and super nice! The property was beautiful, and had lots of places to sit and relax. The room we got wasn't as pictured, but was newly renovated which was nice. I just wish the patio door had a screen so we could listen to the waves at night/have a cool breeze in our room without little friends coming in.
I truly enjoyed my stay at Coco Reef Bermuda. I will be returning soon!
The property was undergoing renovations. They did not take their beach and mad readied up man of war and jellyfish on the beach .There was no information in room for how to retrieve messages, use tv etc. The concierge didn’t endorse the bus service and was told I had to use a taxi which was very expensive and no necessary. It was safe and the people are very friendly and helpful, just not at the front desk.
Good
Coco Reef is a lovely place to stay. Beautiful setting. Very clean. Friendly staff. Highlyvrecommend.
Everything there was top notch. The only suggestion I have is adding a microwave to your units.
This hotel needs $ investment
Bermuda itself is stunning but the Coco Reef was anything but. Upon arrival after 13 hrs travel (at 9pm) I enquired about getting some food but the restaurant was closed. However, good news... I received a complimentary drinks voucher... but hang on... the bar was also closed! I was told it's "Low Season". The hotel was clean, the staff were very pleasant and the views were incredible. That is were the positives end I'm sorry to say. The bedroom walls were thin (I could hear a lady chatting to her daughter), furniture was old and bathrooms extremely dated in the bedrooms. The door rattling all night kept me awake (until I fixed it - see photo). The breakfast wasn't great and something was missing every day (but the service was great). The bar (when open) was limited and not great, sorry. All in all, the stay was fine but I wouldn't be in a rush back. The staff made it nicer but you can't polish a t**d sorry. The hotel was one of the cheaper ones and I understand why now. As a budget hotel, it was good. Finally, the location isn't near too much, so taxis are needed to get everywhere.
The property needed major upgrading but already is in process. Just wondering why we were not placed in the remodeled rooms where there was less than 10 people staying there due to early season. Stuff was very nice
No activity at all, bar and restaurant most of the time closed
my stay at Coco reef through my booking with Expedia it informed me that my hotel & airfare was all inclusive. Upon arrival at the front desk, the young lady at the checkin informed me there was a tax rate of $144 bed fee of $78. I After eating they billed me for lunch. I explained that my reservation is all inclusive. They asked me to wait for confirmation I was confronted by staff that meals was not part of my package. Room had mo water to use they told me they r renovating. move to another unit. the hotel would not serve me my meals in the restaurant. Areas were being booked out the restaurant to banquet , selling group with luggages for sales The bar & restaurant was rented to a rap singer group on our last night. I ended up eating on the walk way where the bar was located however the space was shared with the rap group and hotel guest. The worst part of my dinning was the loud music, &i paid for my trip but it was not a thing as i saw on the Expedia. The hotel is not guess only a shared space. When asked why such tax .The hardship I got while i paid for a vacation after telling my story to Expedia,I think its only fair i get some kind of reimbursement for my hardship. while believing the add posted on Expedia is fair. stories like mine get out to other public sites it would lead to loss of Expedia business both you and the hotel. Keep in mind the restaurant staff offered daily apologizes for this I faced l. l hope to speak/email with your prompt attention. Natalie
Tesha Fisherman/ Susie The workers were terrible to me
Didn’t even stay in the room. Walked in and there were 5 crickets crawling around on the couches, wifi simply does not work as well and the tv in my room did not work. If this what 365 dollars get then it’s absolutely embarrassing.
The property is under repair for remodeling, and they still want to host guests at this way. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
Old smelly furniture. Dirty curtains. Ceiling needs repair due to water damage. Sliding door was difficult to open and close. Room needs painting.
It could do with a update. Nice beach to walk on right next to the property.
Lukewarm in shower. Silly half glass door. Cannot operate television; too complicated. Awful coffee in room.
Always enjoy our time at Coco Reef. Staff is griendly and helpful.
Property is currently under renovation and will be beautiful when completed. It is centrally located and sits on Elbow Beach. We had a beachfront room which had a million-dollar view but was a little difficult to reach for those with mobility issues. Food in dining room was good but bar and dining room seemed to be out of a lot of items. Staff was attentive and tried their best to make our stay a pleasant one. I will return once renovations are complete!
Very nice property in a great location with great beach. We have stayed here many times in the past and are always very happy here. They are in the middle of a major renovation so it was construction going on but it looks like it will be even better after completion. We are looking for to staying here in one of the redone buildings. Lobby looks great as well. Very happy here. Staff is great. Well done
Location is incomparable!0
Wonderful stay!!
The staff is great, Cole is an absolute gem!!! Construction/renovation is ongoing as it is a bit dated so hopefully it will be new and improved soon! Location and beach are great!
The property is excellent. The staff made me feel at home.
I have visited Bermuda several times and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. First my room was extremely outdated, the Devore was one thing but the worst was I had to move the overdose bed frame just to plug in my charger for my phone and computer. There was one restaurant onsite but they were barely open and when they were you waited upwards of 35to 40 minutes for your food. There were arguments between staff while I waited. The food was unseasoned and bland although heavily priced. Outside my room were toilets! Yes my ocean view room had toilets outside of it! What? In the morning on two of days construction was loud with music, not the way you want to wake up on vacation. There were ants everywhere in my room as well! On the floors, counter and in the shower. The only good thing I have to say about this stay was one lady that worked the front desk in the morning was wonderful. I would highly recommend this place get there stuf together.
Quiet
It was near the ocean and provided seating to enjoy the same. However the kitchen chef or management was not up to par.
Grand elegance located on a pristine beach 🏝️ that provides 5 Star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ service!
The view was beautiful, the staff was very helpful and pleasant. My only complaint's the restaurant did not have the menu they post online and the few items they did have they ran out and you were very limited, taxi to eat your meals to other restaurants is very expensive. They mentioned bus passes or scooter rentals onsite, that was not true either. The only renovation I saw was everything is painted dreary white. Hopefully with better management they can pull it together.,
The AC sound so loud. People slammed the door all the time. Early morning and night time. That's the only bad review for Coco Reef Resort. Staffs were so nice and polite.
The room and the facility were beautiful, clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. However the restaurant which is separate from the resort needs help. The food was very good but they need help very slow we waited over 2 hrs to get our food. The waitstaff was very nice especially Mavis
We had a wonderful room right on the beach with an incredible view. However, the rooms are dated and half of them are being renovated. Our room was clean and comfortable but I would not return until renovations are done. Staff were very nice. Restaurant food was OK but expensive and they were out of many dishes. Not much nearby - took a lot of taxi rides into town.
The beach is unique and beautiful. Great swimming. Very secluded. On site restaurant good but quiet. We did have a good DJ dance party. Next door restaurant is excellent and you can walk next door on the beach. Staff is very professional. Bring a bottle opener there is no on site store. Easy cab ride to town. We opted for shuttle service to airport. Very smooth. We do plan to return.
It was very nice and the staff were super friu
Awful - hot water was limited, wifi bandwidth limited, mosquitos in the room, room and surrounding dated, food was a joke, air conditioner was rumbling like a diesel train preventing sleep ….
Beach is gorgeous, but the hotel is just ok. Food and drink options are very limited and those even aren’t great. Beds aren’t very comfortable and the property as a whole is very dated.
The staff and cleanliness were excellent. Unfortunately the hotel itself was very old. The restaurant was also not great.
This property is a diamond in the rough. The beach is really beautiful, private, Great soft pink sand & magnificent ocean water. We had some seaweed a few days but nothing that kept us out of the ocean. The water temperature was so perfect I stayed in for over an hour! The beach attendants were so helpful & ran up the hill numerous times to get us drinks. Kudos to Kingston for making our time on the beach so relaxing. I knew going in that the largest complaint was that it is very outdated. So our room was no surprise. They are in the process of renovating & I feel that when all the plans are done, this will be a 5 star boutique hotel. The beach goes right into Elbow Beach which is isolated with hardly anyone on it as the Elbow Beach Hotel has been out of service for a number of years. With that said, the food is just O.K. & expensive, There is a $300 some "resort fee" & for over $6,300 (including our flights to Bermuda from Detroit & back), it was definitely NOT worth the price. Not only was breakfast not included , but there is not even bottled water in the room. My husband had to pay $10 on property for 2 small bottles of water. And ice??? Forget about it. The bar tender that is Canadian was very helpful in getting us some ice. If you choose to stay at this property, be ready to spend a lot of money on taxis getting somewhere else to eat. We are both beach people & it was the main reason for my choice to bring my husband to Coco Reef for his 75th birthday. No disappointment!
Beautiful private beach that was quiet while we were there. The property is undergoing renovations and our room (which hasn’t been renovated) felt extremely dated - musty smell with old curtains and bedding. That said, great housekeeping staff, and nice front desk. Our room phone wouldn’t go through to the desk so we had to walk there every time we needed to call a cab. Lovely pool, but the property held a public party there on our last day so we couldn’t use it.
Great view on a beautiful property. The beach view is amazing and service was great. Highly Recommend this place
The grounds and the beach are absolutely stunning! However, if you are looking for a hotel where there are lots of things going on, this is not your hotel. There is one bar, one pool and a srunning beach. The rooms are on the older side but they were not terrible. There seems to be some miscommunication from the front desk as they told us the buffet (there was a function going on) was complimentary for hotel guests when we checked in and it turned out it wasnt and then they were trying to put the blame on us instead of just acknowleding that they gave us wrong information. There is a bus stop short walk from the hotel and taxis are available too. The food at the hotel is not great and there arent many restaurants around but you can take a cab/bus and eat somewhere else.
This property has a beautiful beach. The grounds are beautiful. The room was a nice size with a balcony, but the balcony did not have any awning of any sort. Which made sitting out there during the daytime, or during a light drizzle not possible. The bed was comfortable, but the throw pillow and couch pillows smelled like mildew. The shower was old and in desperate need of an update. However, the rest of the bathroom and room was fine. The maid service was very good. The restaurant service was a complete disaster. The food was wonderful and the dining area is fabulous. Unfortunately, this resort employs two individuals who seem to be in some sort of work program. They seem to either have some sort of mental disability and/or drug problem. While these two individuals were perfectly pleasant, they were incompetent. We saw people with day passes who came from cruise ships that literally walked out because the service was so horrible. When these two individuals were working, our orders were never correct. The senior wait staff was very apologetic and quick to fix the errors. While it is very kind to give these individuals an opportunity for employment, it’s simply does no good at all for the resort. Lastly, the beach itself was absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, the guy working the beach did not want to set up our chairs/umbrella. He said “ it will be too much to put away later”. Overall, it was a good time, but the service could be much better.
Beach was good - hotel in desperate need of renovations. Paid $16 got a draft beer - stupid!

So while the room was ok. The food choices are limited. If you don’t get bfast lunch or dinner when served there is nothing there because they don’t serve anything else outside of that time and there are no snack for sale and the closest restaurant is a long walk away over a hill. The room is on a slope and to get to the main area you haveto walk up that slope so forget it if you have a disability. Apparently when leaving you can actually get help with luggage but no one told me this beforehand so I dragged my luggage to the main office to check out. The water is clean and beautiful there
