It was clean but nothing really different than other hostels.
The rooms aren’t well sealed to ensure bugs don’t get in. The bedsheets/pillows looked like they’d been cleaned but were covered with hairs & stains. There is no AC and the room was freezing but they provided heavy blankets which did the trick. The caretakers had dogs which barked late into the night. But the caretakers were very nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast not worth attending. The room was a good size, hot water worked, so that was a plus.
Staff was always friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was not the best but it was sufficient.
Neat, clean & well located. Pamela was great at check-in.
Very helpful upon late check in and the rooms had everything we needed for a uick over night stay.
We stayed here for about 5 nights. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable and accommodated my weird requests. The location is 10 min walk to the main square. Along the way you'd cross mercado San blas and the San blas plaza. It's a quiet spot yet not too far from all the action if that's what you want. There are bodegas, a pharmacy, laundry and bakery within 1 block of the location. I would recommend this hostel.
Very plain hotel, definitely not a 3-star one. good loction
No TV and no promised transport to the airport, one day without water
When you pay the hotel by Expedia they offer you a 1 free ride from/to airport. Once we arrived to hotel they charged us again the taxi, even tough we show them our reservation and ticket where it says it is included, also, I have sent emails and they did not replied back. It was so frustrated since we are double paying for a service and they don’t even answer properly.
Hotel had a great view and close to San Blas. The staff were really friendly and also elped us book tours. He only issue we had was the very cold room but we were able to rent a heater for a charge. I would recommend booking a heater. Also bring a portable hair dryer if you need one. You can borrow one from front desk but it's usually used by others. Great hostel otherwise and nice breakfast.
Noisy Rooms. Had a hard time sleeping due to noise coming from the streets and reception area. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.
To good to be truth
I am disappointed with the description of room amenities from hotels.com, it was nothing like you said it will be, it was to good to be truth and it was, the hostel is as many are, very basic with friendly service and cheap rates. The employees are very nice and they tried their best to help. Maybe hotels.com should check the description of the rooms by asking for pics from the hotel s actual rooms.
We will be staying again!
This was our first time in Cusco and chose this hotel at random. Location is only 15 minute walk to Plaza de Armas. The staff tried really hard to thoroughly communicate with us. Gave us tips where to shop and eat. All staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us to feel comfortable in a new place. We will be staying here against our next visit!
Very nice place, clean and comfortable beds. Very nice staff. Would stay here again. Good price
Friendly staff and great views of the City
Only a 10 minute walk to Plaza San Blas but a great hotel in a quite working class neighborhood. Really good value for the money.
Nice, quiet hotel away from the old-city hubbub
Very accommodating staff. Quiet neighborhood, away from the old town Cusco noise and traffic. Comfortable room, but the optional in-room heater is a MUST for folks who don' like to get cold in the Cusco winters.
Friendly staff. Close to central park, secure
Friendly staff and ready to support any requirement. Clean and confortable rooms. Breakfast was ready at 5am for early check out.
Dishonest reception manager
Reception wouldn't honor free airport transfer on orbitz reservation until call to orbitz resolved it. (He actually told Orbitz his error was because he had two reservations under the same name and he was looking at the wrong one.) The hotel gave me a 2 bed room so a friend and her two little boys could stay with me because the national teacher strike prevented them from getting home. However after the Orbitz call, he retracted and made them leave late at night to get another hotel. Rude and inhospitable. He even pretended not to understand my spanish. All people in Peru were so nice and this man, Miguel, was nasty to us.
Away from busyness of the Plaza. Pleasant 10 minute walk into city center if you can keep yourself from stopping to shop or observe the sites. Staff very helpful (supplied map of area, areas to avoid, arranged taxi to airport, stored luggage after check out, etc.) Light breakfast and they will make you eggs for small charge.
Very friendly staff :) walking distance to the centre and the room is in great condition
Good stay
Very friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast was a bit plain, location was a little out of town.
Nice place to stay. Friendly employees. Would recommend to others.
Friendly Staff, Clean Amenities, Close 2 Center
If I visit Cusco again, I will definitely stay in this hotel. It is located at around 10 minutes driving distance from the Cusco center. It provides wifi, daily room service, the staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful 24/7. The place is clean and located in a very safe area. It includes a healthy breakfast with a variety of choices. It had natural juices, fresh fruits, cheeses, hams, Peruvian cereals, and Coca Tea. I loved it and the price was very good.
really great, spacious, clean room beautiful patio/common area fast and cheap laundry service kind and helpful staff VERY safe - loved the locked front door great area, 12 minute walk to plaza de armas and lots of bodegas around for snacks and water beautiful shower (loved the blue glass doors!!)
This hotel is a great deal for what you get. Convenient location, nearby the historic center.
The rooms were clean but not in very good shape. The shower door fell off in our room. The rooms were also very cold and noisy. The breakfasts on the upside were quite nice with cheese and avocado, cereal and milk as well as the requisite bread and jam!
The room was clean but not in fantastic shape. The shower door fell off in our room, and the room was very very cold, also quite noisy.
Great Breakfast and excellent customer service
Very friendly and helpful staff. Went extra mile to help us get acquainted with the city. Also kept our bags free of charge while we went on a 5-day trek. Food was delicious!
almost 2 night stay
Booked the hotel, paid in advance, came after 22h, found out the hotel is full, they resold my room. Yes, they found me a room in a different hotel but i spent more than a hour discussing the situation with them. Better avoid
Hotels.com please be advised that this hotel does not have many of the amenities that they list on your website. They say full breakfast but it's actually continental. There are no bathrobes, there is no down comforter, no egyptian cotton linens, no down duvet, no pillow menu, no blackout drapes, no sleep number bed, no rainfall showerhead, no phone in the room, no free bottled water, no iPod or MP3 docking station, etc. The rooms get very cold in the winter and they need to be aware of that in order to have enough heaters for their guests.
The rooms were very cold and we had to struggle with staff to get heaters. They finally accomodated our needs but staff should be a little more comprehensive that the rooms are unlivable at that temperature without a heater.
The Atlantis Hostal offered a fair breakfast that included coffee, tea, bread and jam. The location is in San Blas, but a little off the beaten path. It's a bit of a hike to the Plaza de Armas, probably about 20 minutes or more. Although, the restaurants in San Blas offer more affordable options for eating.
Didn't even get to stay here
When we arrived at this hotel they told us they were overbooked (I had booked through Expedia in March!) and told us they have a room for us in their sister hotel and told us to take a cab. Didn't offer to pay for it or take us there!!! After 12 hours of travel that didn't make me happy. Their sister hotel was awful as well- no heat and very uncomfortable rooms.
Our stay at Atlantis was pretty basic, no frills. Breakfast could have been better for the price of the room as it was just bread, some ham and cheese, yogurt, and juice. Laundry service is available, but it is more expensive than doing it outside the hostel. We did have an issue when we returned to the hostel after our trip to Machu Picchu. We came back too late to catch a night bus out of Cusco so we booked a room last minute on Hotels.com. However, when we arrived, they said they were completely booked and there was a discrepancy with the website. They offered to put us up in another hostel, but we had to pay $10 extra. In my opinion, they should have paid for that themselves since it wasn't my mistake that the website still listed available rooms. But it was late and I didn't want to argue because the receptionist didn't speak English very well. Overall, it was an average stay and I wouldn't stay again for the price and lack of amenities.
Okay hotel for last minute visit to Cuzco
Spent two night at Atlantis and it was not a horrible experience but okay not great. If you have the breakfast plan paid in your room bundle, just remember to eat at the time they say or they will still charge you even though it was included. Also note there is no heat in the rooms it was so cold. Later noticed posting that they charge extra for a space heater a night, which wasnt mentioned in the deal when purchased. At least the water is hot and the room is clean. It does have a great view of the surrounding homes. If you have a room on the top floor the wifi is very iffy and you have to move around to find a good spot aka outside your room.
Friendly staff, good value when on sale. Good location away from the action of the plaza. Hot water. Breakfast could be better. Would recommend to a friend.
The man at the front desk couldn't find our reservation even after providing him with the confirmation email. When we got to the room we found, not only did the sheets smell really bad but there was no hot water nor promised wifi in our room. The only redeeming factor for this hotel was the breakfast the next morning.
Ecellent value for the price. Hot water most of the time. Best to shower early. Rooms a little cold bit they provide plenty of warm blankets. Staff is very friendly. Close to the historical district of Cusco. 10 min walk.
Nice welcoming staff
I thought I lost my sunglass and some money somewhere in Cusco. But I found that I left it in the this hotel. 2days later after the trip to Macchupichu I came back to this hotel to see if they have it. And they actually kept my stuff and money and waited till I come back. Thank God. Frontdesk staff are very welcoming speaks relatively good English.
An inexpensive hideaway
A nice little hostel, if a little out of the way. Friendly and helpful staff. Tired furniture, but that was no problem. We would stay there again.
Affordable living
In the beautiful mountainside of Cusco. Room was comfortable. Walk into town was easy, a bit longer than they tell you, but downhill. Walk back all uphill and with the altitude consider taxi. It's a quieter place than those right on the plaza.
Very positive surprise
Atlantis was a very positive surprise! Rooms were lovely, beds comfy, bathroom in a good state and a much better breakfast than in most hotels during our 3 week trip. Recommend to anyone who needs a good nights sleep in Cusco, on budget or not!
Friendly and Helpful Staff
The hostal is quite far from the Central, the staffs are friendly and helpful, although they don't really speak English. However, the breakfast is terrible without much to eat and the Wifi signal is weak too, these need to be improved immediately, otherwise, the hostal will not be a good choice for the tourists.
Good neighbourhood, cold rooms.
We spent a few nights in Cusco before leaving to visit Machu Picchu. The Atlantis is close enough to walk to the centre but far enough away to be quiet and away from it all in the evenings. There is a good communal kitchen. The down side is that the rooms are very cold. You can hire a heater for 20 soles a night, which is a bit of a cheek considering the price of the rooms. We stopped 3 nights, which would have been 60 soles. Instead we bought a small heater from Plaza Vea, in town, for 45 soles.
Good value with a view
This hotel is located in a nice neighborhood just outside the historic area with a great view of the city below. The ten-minute walk down to the city center is a fun and exposes you to intriguing parts of the city you might. Or see. The service is basic but friendly, and the breakfast is adequate buffet of bread, cheese, cereal, good coffee and mate. But no cooked foods i.e. eggs. There is no heat, which means it can be chilly but it seems to be standard in this climate
room was great stayed for a week and for the price was perfect 10min walking distance from down town
Nice hotel !
The hotel connected me with a travel agency. Alicia from the agency made a very good Job. The tours in Cusco and Machu Piccu were beautiful. The hotel Inka Wonder didn.t wake me up in the morning and I missed my train. But Alicia arranged a taxi driver who took me at 10:15 from the railwaystation in Ollanta and we reached the airport in time at 11:50 in Cusco.
Acceptable
Buffet breakfast was advertised but was only a regular one
Acceptable but below the expected
The hostal didn't live up to our expectations but was ok. Staff was friendly but only a few spoke English. The room was comfortable but only bare neccessities, and the shower was only lukewarm. The room was a bit cold at night.

Cold rooms
Stayed in a private room with a double bed and private shower. Hotel room was cold, even in the afternoon. Blankets were free to rent but they charged 20 soles for a space heater. Service was slow but 10 minute walk to Plaza de Armas was convenient.
