Beautiful hotel ! Staff is pleasant and I loved the room and decor of the hotel.

Lovely staff, excellent rooms, nice staff.

The staff at Umbral was incredibly warm and helpful. They made our stay very comfortable. The room was very nice. The design of the building was cool (especially the elevator), and the cafe downstairs, Ojo de Agua has delicious juices, and a good breakfast menu. The area around the hotel is a bit loud and congested, which was the downside.

Good hotel. Communication was a little lacking in the restaurant Paxia. The restaurant Olivia was much better. We had an issue where we really needed help and they were not helpful at all. I would not stay there again.

First time staying at this amazing Umbral, a Curio Collection by Hilton in Centro Historico, Location was great walking distance to Cathedral and great Restaurants but what made espectacular was the staff who works there, with a smile made our stay unforgettable. We want to thank Andrea, Ingrid, Hanna and Abraham also the great Bellboys who went above and beyond to make sure we were ok going and coming. Also Alex who came in helped when my uber didn't show up on time he was able to get us another ride asap. The great bell boys who took care of us when we got there were Gustavo also Ray and Guadalupe one last person i think was security her tag name was Sandee.. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and be able to give us a little card of appreciation. that was absolutely amazing.

Words cannot describe the great service. I was starting to think it was home.

great experience in a very unique hotel

Beautiful property, very clean, unlimited free water, absolutely great concierge staff. My only issue was temperature control in the room. The thermostat did not seem to be working. At night outside temperature went down to 2 degrees C and it was impossible to sleep without a portable heater by the bedside. I do wonder if the rooms stay cool during the hot months.

Loved the staff, especially the folks at the front desk, who were very accommodating. Special shout-out to concierges Erik and Alex, who were beyond helpful. Also appreciated the daily room service.

It was a great place to stay near the Zocalo! I highly recommend it! Very friendly staff that are willing to help anytime of the day!

Unique hotel with old world charm and every convenience. The location is perfect and the staff is extraordinary. We have no spanish but the desk, concierge, housekeeping and wait staff are so kind. They helped us have an incredible vacation.

Thoroughly enjoyed my long weekend stay at this property. It has a central location near museums and other tourist sites. It was a convenient and walkable area. The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming. I was greeted every time I walked through the lobby. Cleaning staff were also very pleasant and friendly. I enjoyed a meal at Padua. The food and staff were excellent.

Overall I enjoyed staying in Umbral, this boutique hotel by Hilton has a great location, nice interior and great staff. The only thing was the sounds from turning on or off water and A/C. I guess it’s because of the old pipes.

Great location, property is in great shape and great service and love the aesthetics of the design. Paxia restaurant was a nice surprise. Great food and service. Jacuzzi was not hot enough and lighting in the rooms is a bit too dim for me - especially bathroom vanity. 4 nights was a tough go without brighter lighting.

Pretty horrible experience. Our room was next to the elevator, and there was banging on the wall every 1-3 minutes from 5am through 1am that sounded like a bowling alley. The hotel was full so we couldn't be transferred to another room. This meant we did not get sleep for 3 nights and our trip was essentially ruined, as we walked around the city like zombies. When I called the front desk to inquire, the staff member was very rude and told me to write down the feedback on the noise for them ... when I spoke with the General Manager, Nohemi, she addressed the noise and clarified that they were aware the elevator is making disturbing noise. She suggested that the technicians weren't able to come to the building for several days to fix it. I'm not entirely certain that the noise could be fixed, and suspect that they are aware certain rooms experience this noise but they are prepared to respond to complaints as they occur. If the elevator was making a noise like this due to issues, they should have shut the elevator down but the elevator continued to operate throughout the stay. Beyond the elevator issues, the rooftop staff was frankly abhorrent. We visited the rooftop twice during peak hours, and it was empty. The staff was sitting around in banquets with their noses in their phones and didn't even lift their heads to acknowledge or greet us. We walked around the entire space hoping to get some attention, yet no one made the slightest effort to tend to our needs. DO STAY HERE

Everything was fine for the first four days and then on the last night the wife and i woke up to bug bites. After emailing the GM he mentioned that our room had a window and is why we got bug bites but that cannot be since we kept that window closed. Just sucked it happened and didn’t sleep pretty much all night/morning!

We loved the incredible hospitality of the hotel, staff was very welcoming.

Our restroom did not work, we had to call everyday for them to check/fix. Got moved on our last night to different room. There is no parking and it is very loud. You can hear all the traffic inside your room. Staff is not friendly

Overall it was a good stay.

Location is unbeatable, very short distance walking from many points of interest. The building is unique and beautiful, the rooftop although somewhat small it has a beautiful pool and a bar (drinks were awesome!) staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for couples or solo travelers

The property is well maintained. The staff is friendly but discreet. The hotel is well located. It is in Walkable distance from popular places and have several restaurants options within walking distance. Overall a great place to stay.

It's by what they call the Zocalo, where the Presidential palace is and Aztec ruins. The architecture is amazing. Old Spain. You can take a day trip to see the Aztec Pyramids and how they make Mezcal, and the Museum of Anthropology. Very centrally located and a great restaurant on the top floor.

I checked in at 3am and the overnight agent at the desk was ready for me and confirmed a late check out and other things I had requested, great communication and greatly appreciated! the hotel is so pretty and the gym is great.

Beautiful property and easy walk ability to surrounding attractions

Conveniently located in the heart of Centro Histórico. Lots of activity in the area, but once you step inside premises is peaceful and quiet. Outstanding food offered in their restaurant and delicious drinks too. Wifi service was fast and reliable.

We loved our stay here. Rooms are spacious, well designed. The staff are so helpful and the common are facilities are very clean and maintained. The roof with the bar and pool if very nice too. We would love to come back!

I REQUEST MY REFUND IMMEDIATELY

The hotel decided to do cleaning and fumigation work on the terrace, which is located above the room where I stayed at 1 AM. I reported to the administration what was happening on three occasions because they did not respond to my request. The excessive noise of machines and the voices of the workers absolutely prevented my rest. Since the hotel did not attend to me and the noises, I had to go out to ask the workers to keep quiet, since it was already 3 AM. The rest of the morning you could hear noises of furniture moving by the staff. At no time was there any notice that the hotel was being remodeled, much less that they would be doing renovations at that hour of the morning. I REQUEST MY REFUND IMMEDIATELY

Very nice place to stay in the middle of the city!

Very quiet given the area with moderate foot and car traffic. Not sure if it was due to the room (suite without balcony) or actually having sound proofing. Nice cafe for breakfast and roof top pool, though hot tub could've been warmer. Hotel was perfectly located for walking around Historic District and to Zocalo. Seemed like we were the only ones during our stay, excellent overall.

Amazing place and location

Such a beautiful hotel. The area was perfect, surrounded by restaurants and stores. Lively during the day and quiet during the evening. Ubering was easy anywhere we needed to go. The staff was polite and helpful with all our needs at any time of day. Thank you for a great stay and we can’t wait to visit again.

Beautiful property with trendy aesthetic. I really enjoyed the rooftop pool area and thought the property itself was great. The area surrounding the hotel is extremely noisy. Our room was located on the first floor facing the street and there was nothing to filter the noises from the heavy traffic, constant alarms and sirens and people screaming in the middle of the night. Both nights I was woken up from the loud commotion outside. The area surrounding the hotel also seemed mildly sketchy, this was my second time in Mexico City and the vibe of this neighborhood was different than my prior experience. Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience but don’t think I would stay here again

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are lovely and clean, the staff was so friendly, and it’s in a very walkable area. It was a great choice, and if I ever need to stay near the Zocalo I would definitely stay here again.

The best hotel in the Mexico City Downtown area

Beautiful old building has been lovingly restored t be a dramatic setting for spacious rooms with very high ceilings. The rooftop restaurant is fantastic and the service is impeccable. The location is a couple blocks from the Zocalo, so it's a short walk.

awesome choice! we didn't know what to expect, this wasn't my first choice, but we are very happy with Umbral. the rooms were very quiet, the service was amazing and it is 2 blocks from the El Zocalo. the staff was very helpful and polite. we are planning to return to Mexico City next year and we will be staying here again.

Nicely remodeled place, great pool area on top (pool is small, but nice). Rooms, beds and bedding were very comfy. A little bit noisy, but that's just the neighborhood. Would recommend if you want to be in the historic center.

Area was safe with police on every corner. Very walkable. Close to many attractions. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Gym is small but has everything you need.

This is a modern dark/moody spacious hotel with terrific proximity to the Zocalo. The rooms & bathrooms are large & comfortable & the staff was very helpful (making dinner reservations).

This is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location for exploring the Centro Histórico. We loved our stay here. Our room was beautiful, immaculately clean, very quiet and super comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

There is no parking that’s the only problem I see. They should have an agreement with a parking. Thanks

Beautiful building and attention to detail. Ray and Hanna were extremely helpful especially with our airline arrangements. Because of its downtown location it can be busy and noisy. However we felt completely safe and we enjoyed discovering the surrounding area. We are recommending the hotel to erveryone and will stay here again.

I enjoy that it was quiet comfortable and was walkable at a lot of things.

Beautiful building! Everything was so unique and had so much character. I really appreciated the bottled water.

Hotel is in a great location and the room was great. However, their hot tub is a cold tub so we couldn’t really sit in it. Their internet is really bad so makes it hard to plan or do anything in room. The beds were not comfortable and when people above you flush you’ll be smelling that on it’s way down

Loved the architecture of the building inside. The lobby and grand staircase and iron railings pretty spectacular--very art deco feel. The suite was beautiful. Staff helpful and friendly. Will stay here again on my next trip to CDMX.

Everything was wonderful except the air conditioning. The 1st night we got there room was so hot we called front desk. They send someone to look at it, they said everything was working good but for my husband and I it was to hot.

A quiet home base in a great city

Excellent service, fantastic accessible room, great restaurant and bar, I have decided to stay even longer. The neighborhood is so much fun with shopping for everything under the sun. From cheap street food, to higher end shops. The location feels very safe and the hotel is quite secure. I really love the old Otis elevators, they present a sense of old world class and reliability. I’d come back anytime.

El hotel nos gusto mucho, sus habitaciones amplias y elegantes, sobrepasaron nuestras expectativas, su personal al igual muy atento y amable, el restaurante donde tomará el desayuno si siento que le falta un poquito más, pero dentro de lo normal, aunque pueden mejorar, sin duda volveré a hospedarme en este lugar!!

Nice hotel welcoming staff

Lovely hotel in the heart of Mexico City. Room was spacious and clean. Beautiful respite.

The staff was friendly and helpful in answering questions. The hotel was very clean and met our expectations. We felt safe walking around the historic center and it was close to the places we wanted to visit.

Our stay at Umbral was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is immaculately clean and the staff go above and beyond to ensure your comfortable. They were all sincerely kind and helpful, and we really appreciated the suggestions they shared for activities in the area and helpful hints for the excursions we had planned. The food was phenomenal, and the convenience of having a cafe and multiple restaurants in the same space was fantastic for us. We took advantage of the great location and explored much of the city on foot, and we looked forward to returning to Umbral every time we went back to “home base”. We would definitely stay here again and will highly recommend the hotel to friends and family planning a trip to CDMX.

Excellent restaurant on the top floor. Really worth checking. Refine and artistic setting of the property in the middle of city chaos. A bit dark colors to the taste, although.

The staff at the Mexico City location was incredibly courteous and assisted us in English. The hotel itself was stunningly beautiful with its old colonial architecture. Lovely rooftop pool and a cute outside patio breakfast nook serving tasty healthy food. We didnt eat at the roof top restaurant but it looked lovely although a little beyond our price range. Ground level dessert spot serving churros and espresso hit the spot mid day when we were heading back into the hotel. All in all a super experience and we will definitely be coming back!! Thank you

The staff is incredible. everyone is very friendly and very very helpful.The food at the restaurants Was consistently good with a great variety to choose from. The front office staff helped me many times with issues I had with excursions. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and I’ve been to Mexico to city many times, and this is the best hotel I’ve had so far and that includes the Marriott and the other Hiltons in Calle de Reforma
