The stay was okay for the price what I did not like was the 44.00 bill that I card nothing to my room and prepaid. I have no idea what the charge was when I checked out was told all set. So 2 stars for that rest was okay.

Our tv wasnt working it had no sound but basically they left us to deal and offered nothing for compensation, also there was music playing through our outlet which they searched for where it was coming from but could not fix or shut it off so basically it was deal with it

I love the location, people staff, Toby's to me is like family to me all because the staff and i know all of them by name

Very nice

Beautiful landscape. Very slow checking in preoccupied with personal calls. The young lady in Restaurant with the short hair cut and glasses needs to be trained in proper customer service and learn to listen to the guest before putting in her input in such a rude manner.

Overall, it was great experience, however, the property needs a few touch ups and Toby resort restaurant’s customer service could be more attentive. When I first arrived, they told me they didn’t see my Most of the time, I went to the restaurant I have to get the attention of the staff just to make an order and some couldn’t remember my order. There were a few stand out staff members, Toni Ann and Unique and some other dining staff is more lackluster. As well when I arrive they couldn’t find my reservation that I booked 1-2 months ago. Overall, I’ll give it 7.5/10.

Cute hotel. Front office workers were not very welcoming. The bellman and rest of the staff were nice. Pool is quaint but good. Not a bad place for one or two night but would probably look elsewhere if I was staying longer then that

rooms have been upgraded. the bed felt so luxurious. i seriously considered staying an extra night because the bed was so wonderful. front desk staff warm and welcoming, Tamara and Carlene; the pool bartender,Michael, is very kind. i saw him go over and above the call of duty to assist a very demanding customer, always with a smile. Restaurant servers, food is good, and deserves 5 stars for quick service, something i wish more JA restaurants took notice of. Toni, excellent server/ Orlando was helpful. Michael in maintenance was very kind and patient helping me with my TV.

Very close to the airport. Nice restaurant on the grounds.

Pictures are deceiving. Room was outdated. Not too clean. Shuttle service to the airport was a nice bonus.

Very comfortable resort if you are looking for a local experience. The staff are polite and helpful. The resort is clean yet dated. Staying here reminds me of staying with my family. The food at the restaurant was good. I feel safe but obviously I take precautions like I would at any hotel.

Needed more Jamaican produce on breakfast menu. Lisa and maureen from housekeeping were very nice.

The staff were exceptional, the facility unfortunately was rather shabby. Ants in the room, no kettle, mini fridge, tissues or basic toiletries except for soap and shampoo.I had to plead for a towel for 3hrs, eventually I air dried after taking a shower. It is bare bones facility.

Good alternative to large all inclusive resorts

Conveniently located, close to a few beaches, with decent food at fair prices. There was some confusion about charging incidentals to the room, and some very slow service in the restaurant, but the employees are pleasant and the rooms relatively inexpensive.

Very comfortable stay, convenient location just outside Montego Bay Airport. Transfer was a bit delayed, driver not waiting for us as advised. Generous food portions and variety of food choices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely start to our holiday.

The place was overall old. All the furniture was old and dusty. I had to ask for towels, which they later brought to the room. The Internet was connecting to (their) TV. No fridge, no microwave, so don't expect it. Don't let the name "resort" fool you. It feels like a motel. Oh and sugar ants were EVERYWHERE! And the audacity to charge $150 deposit. I will never go back. The staff was so nice, I appreciate them all for the hospitality.

A great value hotel. Very close to airport and shopping opportunities on the main Hip Strip road which starts just 2 minutes from the hotel! Friendly staff. I wasn't impressed with the omelette and bacon breakfast, but there are plentiful breakfast options just a few minutes from the hotel. I was located in a deluxe room on the ground floor and the one complaint I would share is that the water pressure in the shower is appalling! I have seen this in other reviews too...surely this can be looked into? Overall though, I would definitely stay here next time I am in Jamaica. It has everything I needed for an enjoyable and relaxing trip

Toby's Resort is very conveniently located and reasonably priced, with eay walking to Doctor's Cave Beach and some restaurants, and only half a mile to the airport. The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are staying a while in Montego Bay, keep on mind that this Resort dies not have access to a private beach and is on a very busy traffic corner, so there is constant background noise. Nevertheless, this place worked out perfect for a single overnight, with quick access to fun places while not being very expensive.

Friendly staff , close to the hipstrip’s margarittaville and coral cliff for entertainment and shopping.

I like the tranquility, except for the odd guess who played loud music until very late. I mistakenly paid twice for my stay, contacted Expedia, and has yet not had a response.

The people are friendly. Customer service was so pleasant. The housekeeper oh my God, the environment. It’s a 10 for me. I had no problem getting to where I wanted to go. It’s right there.

Convenient location for a stay close to the airport, otherwise I'm not a big fan of Montego Bay. Rooms were nicely updated and clean. AC, tv, and water was all good. Food at the restaurant was good, not great, but the wait was very long, and servers seldom, if ever, came by to check if you wanted a refill on anything. Would recommend it for a short stay.

I like that this property is located in a central location. Everything is within walking distance. The airport is nearby. The restaurant serves great food. Lots of menu options.

Cute propert. Helpful staff, loved it

Proximity to the airport is great. A/C and TV seemed to work fine. Grounds people were pleasant, but most others bordered on rudeness. I’m guessing that’s how Mexicans feel in the US. I’d stay again in a pinch, but not for the friendliness. Also, not that they advertised it, but no fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room.

It was a basic and clean room. The friendly and helpful staffs uplift Toby's Resort. I will definitely come back again. I arrived very early and they did their best to allocate my room way before 3pm. I really appreciate how accommodating staffs were.

Nice staff

Very clean, lots of amenities. Conveniently located to major businesses, and is literally 3 minutes from the airport which is perfect. It provides a shuttle to and from the airport as well, for a small fee. Paul, our driver, is so nice and gave us good options regarding shopping and food. Glad I stayed at Toby’s.

The staff was amazing very polite and courtesy. The facilities can be updated. The bed was super comfortable a real king size bed. Dinner was amazing. I would stay here again.

Gorgeous room and property!

The staff at this property are extremely helpful and very professional!The grounds are immaculate and the rooms are well appointed.

I have known Toby’s since the 1990s. It has had major upgrades. It is a nice boutique hotel, clean, quiet and just off the main. Quite enjoyable and convenient.

I booked this hotel as last minute since I did not prepare for this unexpected trip. The staff was nice and the beach was close which was good.

It was a nice place but not amazing. It has an older, intimate vibe about it. The location is GREAT. You are right near the hip strip. It's easy to walk outside the resort and has access to A LOT. There are some things that bothered me, such as the TV barely worked, the shower barely worked (there's warm water but not hot), the light on my balcony did not work. It's a very basic place. The gym was dilapidated. The restaurant is nice. The AC is nice. It's quite clean also. Personally, I find it to be equivalent to around a 2-star in western standards but it was not cheap but also not expensive. So, I don't think it has great value. I might return but I am not eager to.

Basic accommodation. Room was showing its age. No hot water. Grounds were reasonably nice. Seems as if the owners have given up trying to make improvements. That being said, it did the job for one night. Would not repeat.

The staff at Toby’s is very friendly and professional. The food is delicious. I would recommend to my friends and family.

Landscaping was good. Didn't like the spots on bathroom door inside. I like the Bamboo look.

Easy 20 minute walk from the airport, close for a walk to the beach too! Hotel staff were great, check in and out process was easy! Hotel restaurant was quite pricey but delicious oxtail!! Would recommend and stay here again!

Very good for price

The first room we were offered was difficult for us to access due to limited mobility although they knew our limitations. I was disappointed they put us through that experience. Meals and restaurant staff were lovely and security officer was friendly.

Perfect for what we needed

Perfect for what we needed . We booked two days for the start of our holiday before heading to Negril .5 minutes away from the airport which was perfect after travelling 10 hours to Jamaica. Room was clean , bed was comfortable. The restaurant had a nice selection on the menu and was cooked well and arrived at the table quickly . The restaurant and pool bar staff were very efficient and friendly . The main pool was nice and sunbeds and umbrellas for shade were in good condition. Location of the property was good for local shops to get basic groceries and alcoholic drinks . It was also convenient for bars and restaurants.

Always stay here it’s an amazing property, amazing food and staff.

The location is awesome right next to the beach and walking distance to Mobay Hip strip.

The room was clean and comfortable. Dining was excellent. Staff was awesome 👍

We reached out to the property weeks ahead of our trip for transportation from the airport and we were told a driver would be available outside but that was not the case. Staff weren’t pleasant people from the front desk to the restaurant. They need people skills training. Manager was more personable than others. We checked in the room appeared clean up but thoroughly looking around there was hair in the bed linens. Our second day there was an unpleasant incident of the cleaning staff leaving our room door open without regards to our personal belongings. The restaurant food was good including the drinks. Overall the area was okay, walking distance from other restaurants, beach and shopping stores. Not a bad experience but I would not come back to this resort.

This was my fourth time staying at Toby’s resort. It is a nice cozy little resort with Pleasant staff and a nice dining area with two pools and a poolside bar as well as an indoor bar. I stay here because it’s close to the airport.. However, there seem to have been a mixup, and the driver never arrived at the airport to pick me up upon my arrival so I ended up taking a local taxi from the airport, which was OK. The pool area could use an upgrade, but other than that, everything was fine for the price.

Haven’t been back in Jamaica since 2012 and I was very much looking forward to this vacation. My stay here was my first and definitely my last. I’ll say this though; if I’m to base my stay on staff friendly I’ll give it a B+. Cooked food is served cold even though it says cooked to order. I ordered a “Sprite” which was not just hot but also over 2 months expired.

Nuff-Respect

As a Jamaican, I decided to stay in the central part of the resort area that me. We looked for convenience & reasonable rate,seen that were we going to stay for (17) days. Tobys Resort was the perfect place. It's been there for a few decades now,I knew that because I was born in Montego Bay. Anyway. Obviously they are trying their best to keep up the property and yes they do. The staffs are very helpful. Upon arrival the lady at the front desk ( I think her name is Charlene) and others like Orlando(Restaurants) and most of all JULIET (Housekeeping) were very good!!! Juliet kept our room stocked and cleaned . One positive criticism: The doors needs repair. On separate nights we saw a roach and a small lizard came in from under the door. We immediately opened the door and they made a u-turn 😱😂. Around the doors needs to be sealed. Anyway, we'll be back next year!! Madeline and Kenneth Sawyers Respect!

Throughout my week stay all the staff, very friendly, professional and helpful. Suggestion, would be better to have kettles in room instead of coffee machines, boiling water for 2 hours is just a waste of time.
