Room was nice except for lighting. Very little lighting other then limited bedside lighting, and bathroom lighting was not great either. Service at the Conversation restaurant was very disappointing. I think room service orders were given priority, and it took close to 20 minutes before someone even took our order then another 30 minutes before meal arrived at table.
The staffs were very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with the AC I called in and they sent the repair guy right away. He wasn't able to fix the AC because it needed a part to repair they gave me a portable AC. Since I can't transfer to a new room for the night because the hotel was fully packed due to Valentines Day they gave me a free meal worth $75 good for 2 people. The next day I was provided a new clean room to stay. I can't complain. Thank you Thompson staffs.
Our air conditioning was broken and was making awful sounds all night long that woke us up over and over again. We also ordered in room dining and the fries were so salty they were not edible. I enjoy salty fries but these were beyond that. Really disappointed considering I paid 500 in total to for my 1 night stay.
Super staff at front desk. Beyond helpful and knowledgeable. Fun to talk with.
Fantastic staff and service
The hotel provides easy access to Pike Place, there are many great food options in the area, and the staff is friendly.
The hotel was super clean and the staff was amazing!
Close talking distance to almost everything. Staff were friendly. The hotel was clean. We will stay here again.
Great place
Great hotel, incredible staff, perfect location. We had a wonderful experience here .. the staff was always helpful and friendly and the food and drinks at on site venues were wonderful. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re headed to Seattle.
Overall, this is a great hotel. The front desk and main restaraunt staff were phenomenal. The rooftop bar however was unfortunately the opposite. Bery long waits for simple things like a glass of water and massively over priced drinks & appetizers. I would stay here again, I’d just skip the rooftop.
Quite clean and very well kept. The valet was easy to use.
Centrally located! Easy to walk to several main attractions. Hotel clean , modern decor and friendly staff
Hotel is run down since last visit. Service quasi non-existant
Nice maintained property with friendly staff. Steps away piles market
Thompson Seattle was such a beautiful property to stay at. We had the water view and it was breathtaking. Everything was within walking distance so it was really easy to get around. We were able to check in early and the hotel staff went above and beyond to take care of us. I will definitely be returning.
No parking kinda sucks but not much to be done about that in Seattle. The majority of the staff are nice although there’s some with the typical foul attitude you’d expect from someone who’s from Seattle. It’s also kind of ridiculous with what the room costs that the AC is locked out and can only be set down to 65*F. It’s not hard to override but honestly shouldn’t have to be done just to be comfortable in the room you’re paying to stay in. The hotel is decent and on the fancier side but I probably won’t be staying there again next time I’m in the area
Nothing more to say
Arrived at 6:30 and room was still not ready for check in. Disappointing.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Check in was really easy. The room was beautiful and really clean. Would stay here again!
Great location. Hotel was nice food was good at the restaurant. The price for parking was way too much. $68 a day is alot.
Everyone was absolutely amazing and helpful! Only a 2 minute to the Moore theatre and plenty of dining options. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view!
Great hotel and service. Unfortunately the streets around it are not that clean and/or seemingly safe.
Awesome staff. Highly recommended. Great Location. Walk everywhere.
Everything is great about this hotel. Perfect location, clean, nice hotel with great service. FYI They only have valet parking option and it’s expensive $68 per night.
Great location!
Great stay in Seattle
We checked in very late. Staff was great at check in. When we che led out front desk was awesome to deal with and gave us two great lunch ideas.
The room was perfect and the staff was awesome!
The staff was great at the property. They worked with us and the key card issues we had since their system was being upgraded but they responded quickly to fix our key issues. The cleaning staff were on it daily refreshing our linens which was pretty sweet. Overall the property was in great shape centrally located to pike place market and other foods/bars in the area which we enjoyed. The noticeable homeless issues in Seattle did not spill into the hotel while we were there which was nice as it did make things uncomfortable in other parts of the city. They do a fine job here at the Thompson and would recommend to others. We would stay here again should we visit Seattle again in the future.
The rooms are small, but nicely appointed. There were some flower petals (old) from the prior stay, and we got into the room late, so it wasn't a great show of cleanliness.
I’m a Thompson Hotel regular in multiple cities. I had a great experience with the staff here and the service. The only issue this time around was a broken venting system that kept making a clicking sound so minimal sleep was had. I told them about it so hopefully it gets fixed and isn’t an issue for anyone else. Other than that zero complaints!
location location!! front of the public market .and view was great
Our experience at this hotel was unacceptable. After switching from the Hyatt Regency due to a lack of available rooms, we had high hopes for the Thompson, but we were severely disappointed. The location felt unsafe, with noise from people lingering in the alley and dumpsters all night. While check-in staff were friendly, their restaurant suggestions were closed. The room itself was noisy from a malfunctioning air conditioner that was also leaking, and it wasn't clean. When we sought dinner recommendations, the staff couldn’t suggest a single restaurant, and there was no concierge available at 6 PM. The rooftop bar experience was equally terrible. After waiting 20 minutes for drinks, we were charged $10 for a bottle of Topo Chico when we only wanted a glass of soda. In the morning, the valet quoted us $60 for a taxi to the airport, but the cab’s window showed a rate of $45. When we tried to pay, the driver insisted on the $60, claiming it was a special rate from the hotel. This entire stay was a complete failure.
Property is hip Everyone on Staff was wonderful.
Convenient location
Had an amazing short stay here, great staff - super helpful and friendly, room was clean and comfy, location was great, zero complaints, would stay here again!
I couldn’t find a single flaw in our stay. Everything and everyone was very professional. We will definitely be returning upon future trips to the city.
It was a quick stop before flying home and we enjoyed the location, great staff and easy check-in and check-out, very clean and comfortable modern room with all the amenities needed
All was fantastic. Service was superb.
We really enjoyed the location. It’s perfectly situated to the heart of downtown Seattle. The rooftop bar is great. The room was done and cleaned every single day and the staff was very nice. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin and could hear everything outside our room.
Very friendly and helpful staff in all areas.
The property is located in an area that is close to shopping, dining and the pier.
Overnight before cruise
The check-in process was very pleasant and the staff gave great dining recommendations. The rooftop happy hour was really nice but get there early because it fills up quick.
Great modern hotel in the buzzing downtown area 2 minute walk from famous waterfront market. Amazing views of the harbour from the front-facing rooms. Great food options in and around the hotel. Very comfortable, clean rooms. Highly recommended.
The staff was super friendly and accommodating from the moment we checked in - late at 2:30am. They helped up navigate to our room and provided us with all of the valet parking details. Our room was super clean and had plenty of plugs for all of our charging gadgets. We traveled with our dog, Unagi, who loved the hotel just as much as we did. There were plenty of outdoor potty spots for the late night potty trip. We didn’t have a chance to try the hotel restaurant or the bar.. which I was bummed about. I have heard amazing things about both of them from friends and family - so I highly suggest you check those out as well! We didn’t spend much time at the hotel as we had a pretty packed itinerary otherwise.
Great place to stay that puts you right in the heart of the Seattle waterfront, Pikes Market, great restaurants!
The staff were super friendly and helpful.
Thompson was a great hotel overall. We booked last minute on Expedia and upon arrival Joe checked us in. He was the kindest, most genuine and very professional. Our AC in the room wasn’t working properly and he went above and beyond and made sure we have a portable AC as well. This hotel is very modern and chic and has access to lots of touristy spots.
We truly enjoyed our stay and the wonderful staff. You can’t beat the location, and the view of the waterfront is fantastic. If you don’t have a waterfront view room, the rooftop bar has it.
I cancelled 3 days ahead, due to illness, I was on the Collette tour. They refused to provide a refund. I will make it a point to provide Collette the information on the way Hyatt does Business. Of course, they lost mine forever, Hilton does a much friendlier environment.
Loved the hotel. Comfortable bed, great ambiance and awesome rooftop bar.
Amazing hotel!!!
Amazing staff and beautiful design/decor. Hotel pics online show each room to have a chair (separate from the desk) for guests to relax, but neither my water view room, nor my parents room had a chair for comfort. Guests only option while in the room is to sit on the bed or rolling desk chair (less safe for elderly).
Very close to the market, shopping and restaurants. Staff was great. Easy to get a Uber to anywhere.
Miserable experience, waste of time and money.
Had to switch rooms three times due to non-functioning A/C. Their solution to fix second room’s broken A/C was to put a loud swamp cooler in my room that was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk let alone fall asleep. Final room finally had A/C work but the hotel had no internet for a full 48 hours so we had to waste PTO hours. I was going to check out less than 24 hours into my five night trip but two managers assured me my stay would be greatly discounted, which ended up being a lie. They comped my valet and one of the terrible restaurant meals, but refused to reduce the room rate after multiple assurances. I’m left feeling tricked, lied to and scammed. I genuinely believe I would have had a more comfortable trip staying at a Best Western.
Delightful staff
Where to begin, our first greeting was with Leah. She is most personable. We were all going to the same concert the next night. The hotel sent us upscale chocolates and Beer we had mentioned we liked during our meeting. I am a cancer survivor and they treated us like gold !! Thank you also to Malia and Martha who made our stay most excellent ❤️ Also, hi five to the concierge who helped us find out about the best restaurants and booked our Underground Seattle tour.
Had horrible smells in the ventilation which permeated to all areas of the hotel... Restaurant, hallways, room, elevators and lobby... Aside from being a wonderful hotel and restaurant, the smell lingers to skin and clothing... Still have the smell after 4 showers and had to throw away my clothing.
Only issue was not being able to get checkedin on time but they were nice about crediting me some money at the bar
Excellent location! Staff was great. Room was very nice but could use more places for luggage. Hallways are a little dark.
Room temperature 90 degrees, AC broken and could not get a room change!
That’s a good view to the waterfront and the Elliott Bay.
The staff at the Thompson were fantastic. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Restaurant staff was amazing as well and the food was excellent.
The location was great! Premium room was small but had a great view and amenities.
It is a lovely property centrally located from many of the sights in Seattle - especially one block from Pike Place Market. We liked the hotel's dark, moody vibe. The staff was knowledgeable and prompt when ordering our cabs and sharing locations for us to visit. We were grateful that we could check in early to our room or that they were ready and willing to hold our luggage. Having just got off the cruise ship, we were exhausted. We had a problem with our tub draining in our room, and I stood in 3" water as I showered. However, they promptly handled the situation after bringing it to the team's attention. We understand that plumbing can be problematic in older buildings. It's nice that there's a restaurant on-site, and the food was delicious. We felt safe in the hotel and within two blocks of the property. Even though there were three homeless people slumped in the alley directly behind the hotel. They were keeping to themselves. But, once we ventured out 4-5 blocks away, the homeless and drug addicts were on every block and more active or visible. We watched one man in particular (who was high on drugs) strike/hit an innocent pedestrian from behind with an object as he was walking on 6-14-24. We made sure we were back at the hotel by dusk, which is a shame when you pay $500 for a one-night hotel stay and can't fully enjoy the surroundings because of the city's drug and homeless plight. So it was an excellent property & location but sad city management of its citizens.
Beautiful! Loved staying here for work. Gorgeous interior and very friendly staff.
The hotel was very nice. The roof top bar ‘nest’ had the best views, the perfect place for a drink and snack. The hotel itself, the staff and the facilities were great but unfortunately Seattle has an issue with homelessness and drugs which was focused around this area.
Wonderful Stay at Thompson Seattle by Hyatt - extremely convenient location. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly and attentive staff. The lobby's modern and chic design set the tone for what was a fantastic visit. My room was a delight with breathtaking views of the Puget Sound only slightly obstructed by one building. The accommodations were stylish and comfortable and well-appointed with all the modern amenities one could hope for. The bed was sadly a bit sunken in but was generally pretty comfortable after a long day of walking around. Dining at the Conversation first floor restaurant was a bit limited and food took a bit longer than I’d hoped to come out for just burgers and fries. The Nest offered delicious drinks and spectacular panoramic views of the city skyline and Elliott Bay, I cannot speak for the food at The Nest as I didn’t get the chance during my stay to eat there. Location-wise, the Thompson Seattle is unbeatable. Situated just steps away from Pike Place Market and other downtown attractions, it was the perfect base for all my adventures. Overall, my experience at the Thompson Seattle by Hyatt was nothing short of excellent. It’s an ideal choice for anyone looking for an extremely convenient location for navigating downtown Seattle with outstanding service.
bed was very uncomfortable and ac was very noisy
Vibrating pipes (water hammer). I could hear the neighbors through the wall. Expect hidden fees not included in Expedia check out.
parking is nuts! be prepared to pay more to park than your rental car cost
Business trip
Good location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Would have liked better coffee in the room.
The staff was very helpful!! The restaurant was great, and even the Valet was exceptionally helpful!
location, location, location
Staff was fantatic and the room was very clean. Honestly, if you have a car or love to walk, it may be worth staying somewhere else. Everything was average. You are paying for the location. The restaurant is pricy, and their roof cafe is super small and crowded (ie not worth it). The location is right next to Pike Place, so if you just want to walk out the door to the tourist spots, then this hotel would work. However, it it super sketchy at night, so I wouldnt go near Pike Place after dark (there is a reason why all the vendors start packing arouns 3:30-4pm).
loved the property and the location. The room was great and the staff were wonderful. It was convenient to the market and to the hockey stadium. I was only disappointed in the deterioration of the downtown area surrounding the property. Lots of closed businesses, homeless asking for handouts and generally dirty. After all the work put into the port area it was sad to see.
Everyone was so accommodating and it was easy- the process from entry to exit was wonderful. I appreciated the document that outlined the amenities. Joe was so welcoming and warm at the front desk. I would recommend it to others!
Nice accommodations, staff was great, definitely felt that my vehicle was safe. My first experience on the Seattle waterfront, with my new love, was quite a memorable experience. Thank you to the staff for making things smooth and effortless.
Fantastic view to Puget Sound
Service was disappointing. Even though it wasn’t busy we didn’t feel particularly welcome. We didn’t receive any information upon check in or the promised sparking wine despite the $29 service fee. And the valet parking charge with no option for self parking is not cool.
Such a near perfect experience for a quick over night getaway.
Kandice, at the front desk, was super helpful and made sure we had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a great location, safe and convenient to many sightseeing places to visit. We definitely recomend this hotels.
We loved this hotel! Staff was excellent and recognized our special event. Whether it was at check-in or hanging out at the rooftop lounge, we were surprised and welcomed with bubblies.
Very nice, clean, cool/modern/high-end interior decoration throughout the facility. very friendly & helpful staff. definitely will stay here again if i'm the same area.
very kind staff
Always stay at the Thompson and love it
Gem in Seattle
Great hotel in Seattle! Close to everything, great views, beautiful contemporary design and welcoming and very professional staff!
Very clean hotel. Rooms for more than 2 people were kind of small. But great location and few minute walk to pike place market. Rooftop had amazing views of harbor and sunset
Nice place
Save your money!
The rooms were extremely dated for the price we paid ($1400 for 2 nights) no lights in the room except for small lamps that hardly had any brightness including the bathroom. Only one mirror in the bathroom which also had a very dim light and hard to do your makeup in since the bathroom also didn’t have a vent so it would get foggy. The room also has no vents, an installed ac was above the enterance that leaked water on the creaky floors. The furniture was all dated from the 80s and no dresser. Had the water front view from our room with a giant post right smack in the middle of the windows. The curtains kept getting stuck in the track and wouldn’t close all the way soooo you only get half a view! Overall would never stay at this hotel, will be staying at a different place for our next trip.
The check in was easy and convenient. Albir Hanna was GREAT to us ! He checked us in an hour early. We had complimentary champagne and a Great room. Great linens Great shower! ( I didn’t want to get out). Had a beautiful rooftop bar and the exercise room was awesome. 10 of 10!!
10/10 Recommend
We had a wonderful stay! Came to town last minute for 2 days and this hotel was top notch. Short walk to Pike's Market, amazing vibe at the rooftop bar, 5 star breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. My friend left her wallet in the hotel room and Gina at the front desk secured it, put it in an uber to get it to us right away so we would not miss our flight! Thank you again!
Easy to find. Staff was friendly and helpful.
It was close to everything and very nice the parking is insanly expensive.
very average while 510/night without bkfast; w-end bkfast closes @ 10am; coffee maker tray lacked tea, sweeteners & high end coffee. for 3day w-end only 1 elevator worked - filled with tourists visiting the rooftop; some front desk staff don’t understand English. Not up to 4* Hyatt standards.
Beautiful, modern property with excellent rooms. The staff is very kind, but overwhelmed on the weekends. They checked our luggage for us, but it took hours before we just went back down and got it ourselves. The rooftop bar is public access and good luck getting up there on the weekends with how overrun it is. I can't speak for the weekdays, though. One elevator was down, but I have a feeling both would be long waits even if it was up. Maybe we were just there on an unusually busy weekend! Truly beautiful hotel and kind staff, otherwise.
Thompson hotel
Great, Clean and staff was wonderful
Clean and modern! Great boutique hotel
Clean large room with a great view. Great central location Loved that it smelled good. Amazing shower. Apreciate the adult "care" kit. J&K LA
Hotel itself was well designed and the room was comfortable, great water view. However, we arrived at 10am and while I knew check in was at 3, we did not get in until 4:30! Only 1 elevator working, had to call to get fresh towels the next day. Not what I would expect for a $$$ room. Staff was friendly, area was close to Pike Market. Surroundings would get homeless scattered around the streets in the evenings.
Hotel was a perfect location walking to the Public Market. Friendly and staff and clean rooms.
