We had an overnight stop in Hong Kong. Staff very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. we had an excellent view of the harbour. The room and hotel were basic but clean and comfortable.

The hotel could not be in a better location for a tourist. It is just steps away from the harbour promenade, the ferry to Hong Kong and to the MRT. The only housekeeping they do is pick up garbage daily and even this was not done every day in my room. Would like a bit more be done, at least to pick up the towels daily if left on the counter. Book a harbour view room - it is worth it to see the light show every night

A room with a fabulous view

We paid for a room for 3 adults and the extra bed was a camp bed ie not fit for purpose. For the cost of the room I would expect all beds to be of the same quality. I would have preferred a kettle in the room . We had a device that heated the water up but we frequently needed repeat attempts at making a drink as the water wasn’t hot enough . I think it’s a bit of a cop out to say the room won’t be cleaned more than every 3 days as part of some eco policy . Part of the pleasure of staying in a hotel is being a little bit pampered with my bed being made . I don’t necessarily want clean sheets / towels every day. Poor WiFi. Fabulous view of harbour. Fabulous breakfast. Very helpful concierge.

As part of my vacation, I hired a bicycle to do some road cycling around Hong Kong. The staff questioned me everytime I entered and exited the hotel about the bike in spite of the concierge assuring me the bike is fine before I rented it. I found this a little annoying.

it was a great place to stay during the chinese New Year to watch the firework !

location is good close to harbor and restaurant and west kowloon.

A perfect spot to enjoy all that HK has to offer.

Property is well kept and maintained. The room service is only once every 3 days but the house staff kept everything very clean. The location is convenient and close to a lot of shops and tourist attractions. Only dissatisfaction was just around how hard the bed was and could have used one or two more pillows.

Lovely place with great facilities

Lovely service and fantastic facilities in a very convenient location. What let it down a little bit were a couple of minor things such as the noisy cleaning staff in the corridor, and the extremely slow Wi-Fi. Overall though it’s a charming place with character.

As previously noted by other travelers, this property was remodeled in 2014. It is still well maintained and clean. Staff was kind and fast, we had a stuck toilet and they resolved it in no time. Housekeeping does not happen until you are the 3rd or 4th night in but they come by to replenish towels and empty the trash. The location cannot be beat, lots of shopping, eats, access to buses and subway close by. They also have a pool (check their seasonal cleaning schedule first).

The breakfast buffet options are very limited. There is no disposable toothbrush or toothpaste in the room and you will have to pay extra if you want to use microwave. The good thing is the location with walkable distance to the pier and shopping areas

Harbour View great.

Stayed at room 1131, harbor view suite. The museum before the window did not block much, still a wonderful view. We watched the New Year’s fireworks from the master bedroom, the best fireworks experience ever. Very convenient location to subway, ferry and buses. Make sure you ask the front desk where to enter the subway station, there are several choices, the one closest is right across the street diagonally, an elevator to take u right down to the subway. About 300 Hong Kong dollar from airport to hotel. Symphony of lights at the Victoria harbor has just a few shafts of lights shooting around, the show is sooo simple minded, almost reached a level of stupid. You can completely skip that. YMCA is the best choice, we love it and will stay here again in the future.

It was great. Not too many amenities but its still great.

It would have been helpful for planning purposes to be notified that all roads around the hotel are closed off every year on 12/24 evening and 12/31 evening. We arrived on 12/24 evening and had to be dropped off by the taxi about 1 mile from the hotel, walking the remaining distance with suitcases etc.

Staff are professional and nice. Convenient to MTR, shops, restaurants and Victoria Harbour.

This is my favorite hotel in the world- unbeatable value. Right next door to the Peninsula, same views, better buffet breakfast, for a fraction of the price, and with the kindest staff. Our tenth floor room offered a beautiful view of the new year fireworks in the harbor. Thanks YMCA!

This property has terrible customer service, my flight was delayed due to an issue out of my control and they refused to change my booking and didn’t refund any of my money. It was also very difficult to get through to anyone on the phone, and eheb I got through the staff member kept repeating herself and didnot consider my situation. There are many other good hotels in Hong Kong with substantially better customer service.

Good location for shopping in night markets. Not much to see in Taipei other than this. Lots of people, motor bikes and night markets. Buildings are drab and boring but people are very friendly. Glad we visited Taipei but would not return.

When we got to our room it smelled of fresh cigarette smoke. A maid came and sprayed and indicated that we’d now be ok. I guess we were as the hotel was full and we knew they couldn’t move us. We’ve been coming here for 40 years and it’s sorta lost its touch in an effort to cater to the masses

Great location to Hong Kong Island and wasy access to MTR and bus terminal

I stayed here with my 2 grown daughters- we had two rooms with a queen bed in each. Very close to walkable sights- Star Ferry- museums- shopping- restaurants, etc. We opted for Uber to get places when too far to walk i.e. Temple of 10,000 buddhas, Jockey Club, etc. Hotel had all the amenities with the exception of the 1950’s hair dryer which blew only puffs of air. Friendly and helpful staff, especially the concierge. This is a decent budget hotel with an amazing buffet breakfast. Advice: add the breakfast option to your room stay when booking. It’s worth it! Location and room cleanliness and breakfast buffet make this a repeat lodging option when in Kowloon.

The accommodation is at the heart of TST, very clean and close to everything. Room size is very good for Hong Kong standard, and had good self serve laundry facility. Our room had a good view of the city. Highly recommended.

The location was perfect! It was easy to access some of the main attractions in Hong Kong. There are many restaurants and shopping venues within walking distance.

Location, location, location!!

The room is big and spacious and the view is excellent. But the bed and converted sofa bed were not very comfortable. The pillows are too thin and there are no other alternate or extra pillows.

Fabulous Harbour view

Rooms are small but functional. The view is amazing. The subways (trains) and ferry to HK Island is just a few minutes walk.

This is the second time I stayed in this hotel due to its convenient location. It is in the center of Tsim Sha Tsui; with many restaurants nearby, shopping malls, and metro station. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a fee for toothbrush, razor etc which are not available in the room, and luggage storage.

I love the available gym and pool. Walkable to ferries and mtr.

When it comes to stay in a short period of time, just pick up garbage, not vacuum and any short of supplies like towels and cups etc. Just the way it is, any requests we have to pay, not like other hotels which have full services. But most of all it is very convenient when comes to MTR, don't have to cross roads to reach our destination.

Fantastic location, and the harbour view room was worth every penny.

Staff are super friendly and nice, especially the restaurant on 4/F. Great location and some rooms have spectacular harbor view. Definitely will come back.

Location is good with MTR exits nearby. Also with many other exits around the area. Room is big and comfortable. Plus point - there is in-room instant water dispenser instead of kettles. But height of dispenser may not fit bottles, unless you bring it to the edge.

The hotel was nice but my room was full of fumes 1 day before i left. I had to report it and had to stand outside my room till they found the problem. I was not going mad. Its a good location to the harbour and MTR - subway/underground stations. At the MTR people will ignore you if you are lost and need assistance. Staff are very rude and they speak English.

Stayed in their 1 bedroom corner suite for 4 nights. It was spacious and comfortable for a family with 2 kids. Had a great view of TST city n harbour front. Location was the key, centralized, accessible to all mode of transport from ferry to mtr. Good dim sum at Log Ye just a few mins walk away.

Still a comfy place to stay.

Location remains ideal. Housekeeping every 3rd day with rubbish removed daily is fine. I miss the welcoming basket of fruit and the beverages in the mini fridge. Staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room has great view and good selection. I miss the table service for coffee. The pandemic has dampened The Salisbury. I hope it can bounce back.

Fun experience

Room cleaning only once in 3 days. Same with towel changes. No basic amenities like toothbrushes/combs in washroom. No gym in hotel.

Nice stay

Only had 1 bad experience. I was asking the reception counter on how to get to the 7th floor's water dispenser. I was given a cold toned reply "This Way Up" and no other explanation. To the least, please reply and say you may use the same key card to reach 7th floor as some guests are not aware of such matter.

Location

Liked it's location and facilities.

We stayed at the suite. Room is dated. The lobby is better maintained than the room. Room smells musty, moldy toilets, dirty and dusty room carpets, smelly pillows. Little to no housekeeping. They only replenished the towels clear the bins. Anything outside the bin was left uncleared. You could stay at better hotels at this price. Would not come back.

I booked the Harbour view and I loved it. Very friendly staff, very helpful.

My second stay in this hotel because of its convenient location. Not as likeable as my previous stay as it was crowded during my stay. The room was not sound proof and it was extremely noisy at night when the group staying around me started chatting across the hallz

Although the room had an incredible view, it was not well maintained. The walls and bathtub were somewhat dirty. The location is second to none and most of the staff were kind.

Room cleaning staff terrific. Restaurant staff not quite so. Western breakfast not terrific. Deaf facilties not terrific. This room, at this price, I will book again every visit. Overall high marks

Very nice hotel, it was very clean and the room was excellent. They gave me an harbor view room, the room size was large and it was walkable distance to a lot of restaurants and near the beach.

Very good location with reasonable price. It is in the nucleus of all transport systems in HK which is so modern and efficient. Star Ferry to HK Central and Wanchai, TST MRT station at door step which links to the East Rail Line to Shenzhen, bus general station also at door step etc etc etc. I better stop, otherwise they will raise the price. 😂😂😂
