Great area and great amenities. The room floors were a bit dirty but other than that it seemed pretty clean.

The only thing I didn’t like was the pool inside is too cold

Great deal for the price! Kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool.

Old run down motel. Breakfast was uneaten it was so gross.

Last minute one night stay in the surrounding area. Price was great. Facility was clean. Staff were helpful and there 24hours so if I needed anything or simply had a question someone was always there! Room clean & up to date. Bed was super comfortable. Check in & checkout process went smoothly. $200.00 refundable incidental fee charged when at the facility. Will definitely use this hotel again when in the area.

The room was clean, a little outdated but it was fine.

My family and I stayed there this past weekend we booked 3 separate rooms one for myself and husband one for my daughter and her family (total of 4 ) and one more room for my son and girlfriend staff was very friendly upon check in when asked about the s’mores kit they have posted on website we were told no even when told it was on their website we were still told no no biggie we went down the street and bought s’mores stuff for the 2 kids staying with us.our biggest complaint would be the room for my daughter and family was not cleaned as there was a used toothbrush under the ac unit in main room and there was makeup brush in bathroom and room smelled a little musty…the outside pool was great it was heated breakfast was good was quiet loved the grills and fire pits and the little playground for the kids on check out day we got up early went to breakfast and came back to pack up our things as check was at 11 and at 10 am we were locked out of our rooms had to go to main desk to have our room keys reactivated to go in and retrieve our belongings

We had a great time at this hotel. Loved the outdoor fire pits and grills, and also the two pools. Staff were all so nice, too. It was very clean and the breakfast was great!

Room has a terrible musty smell. Opened window and put ac on. Smell is still there. May be a mold issue.

I like the playground, the in and outside pool, the fireplace and grills very nice for a family trip.

I love little playground they have for kids. My kids enjoyed and I love sitting place and indoor and outdoor pool. I was amazed that it was very clean. Honestly I didn’t expect so much

Room and bed were comfortable. Pretty decent breakfast. Amenities need upgrade: indoor pool was cold, outdoor pool wasn’t working, the fire pits weren’t working. Plenty of parking. Overall, still a good value for the price.

Pool area was really nice and the little park.room had a bad smell and a smell was coming from sink.check in ladies need a training in customer service,very unprofessional and very unpolite.by passing the check in process the stairwell need a little update just pool area was really nice and relaxing

Was fine for overnight stay

The room was booked last minute because we decided to start the vacation one night earlier. It was fine for just an overnight stay. Arrived pretty late around 10 pm. The room smelled very strong of cleaning chemicals. By the next morning after our showers it smelled like urine. Most likely won’t stay there again. Other than that I didn’t see anything wrong with the property.

Very nice front desk Nicole was very helpful and pleasant. My room was wonderful. I will come again. This is my third year in a row very pleased.

Horrible experience! The staff was very rude and unwilling to help. The room was dirty when we first checked in, the trash can had not been taken out. Do not recommend staying here at all, better to stay at any of the other hotels nearby.

This was our second time staying at SunBird, and certainly not our last. It's in a great location, great price, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. plenty of things to do at the resort as well.

The towels were small. The rooms were humid and the walls were very thin.

Smells, no shower matts my mother fell in shower. No consideration after i told them. No pool control anyone in neighborhood goes in out door pool. Sad condition. Never again.

Stay elsewhere

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. The room smell was terrible. The pool was green. Location is not great. Staff is not friendly. Thankful we were only there to sleep. Spent our days touring the Cape. If we had to spend any time at the hotel, I would have checked out and stayed elsewhere. The only plus is that the beds are comfortable. There are many, many places to stay in this area, I suggest staying somewhere else.

While the property is older, my room appeared to be renovated. Room and property were clean and quiet. Saw guests playing tennis on the court. What appeared to be a storage/supply room was next to mine. Looks like all rooms will be getting new pillows and supplies. I would recommend.

This property has a nice outdoor salt water pool. Looks to be somewhat new. The place is in a good location close to main street Hyannis. The room we had was simple and clean. Some areas to improve on are the carpet on the outdoor walking areas. It gets wet when it rains and smells. The indoor pool also needs to ventilation fixed. I got the impression that this is a property in transition. Some things are dated and other things are quite nice. The place is adequate and nothing fancy.

Belles installations pour les familles ! 2 piscines (intérieure, extérieure), terrain de tennis, basket. Espaces de BBQ et tables pour manger dehors. Les gens à l'accueil sont fins en général. La dame aux déjeuners est vraiment à ses affaires, on a manqué de rien ! L'hôtel est bien placée, mais un peu loin pour faire nos choses à pieds.

Adult family vacation

Our stay was for 3 nights. The room was clean. Big enough for 4 adults. The shower area needs a little love, but still ok. The breakfast was good with nice choses. Scrambled eggs, cheese omlettes, patatos, bacon one day the other 2 days sausauges. Toasts, bagels, pancakes, some fruit, porrige and muffins. Coffee and juices. Missing yogourt though. For younger families there was tennis, pickle ball, a kids park. For friends or family gatheralls there was 2 fire pits with a lot of chairs and 2 or 3 bbqs. Only negatives housekeeping barely none. Only a change of towels and 2nd day we were gone all day and they came knocking at 6 pm. Sorry but to late. For the pool there was no one to take care of it. It was dirty with leaves and bugs. It also didn't have chlorine in a couple of days. Overall for a 3 nights stay since we were not in the room all day it was nice.

The floor had dirt and the room smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Price was high as well for the type of room.

Our experience at the hotel wasn't the greatest! When we walked into our room it smelt extremely musty, and the bathroom smelt like sewer! No matter what the air was set on, it felt sticky and wet inside. Maybe needs a dehumidifier. The outside pool needs to be deep cleaned but the inside pool was clean. Breakfast was pretty good! The staff women working in the breakfast area were very friendly. The woman behind the front desk had attitude! Overall hotel was good enough to enjoy Cape Cod, but not ideal. On a budget Sunbird Inn does the job. Would not stay again, but for a weekend trip it's fine.

What an excellent motel. If you have kids this is great. Playground, indoor and outdoor pools, soccer field with goals, multiple gas grills, fire pits, plenty of chairs!

Not greatest

The front desk people were VERY rude The mess up our room and gave someone else our room and than put us in a room we didn’t request Unorganized!!!!! The bed bang everytime u move on it The room smelt funny The pools were DIRTY and GROSS! They didn’t give me a receipt for what I paid for NO PARKING!!! We left and came back the parking lot was full end up parking in a handicap area Not the best place!!!!

Nice, clean stay in the Cape! Room was nice, though bathroom/shower was somewhat run down. Had both indoor and outdoor pool which was nice after the beach and shopping. Plenty of parking, very clean facility, staff was very nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Service was great. Bathroom was not so clean. Room had a musty smell, a/c worked great. TV had local channels but not a smart tv. Breakfast was good. Overall a good location and friendly workers. Stay on the second floor to avoid noise in the morning.

It looks like they did a lot of updating to this place recently. Everything seemed freshly painted and overall there was a neat appearance to the property. But bad housekeeping ruined the experience for us right after check in. After walking across the floor in socks and then putting my feet on the bed I noticed short and curly hairs (yes, those kind) on the bed where my feet had been. Then my wife sat on the bed and the same thing. We were so grossed out we wore shoes anytime our feet had to touch the floor and made sure that nothing touched the floor touched anything else. We were only there one night so I didn’t want to complain and have deal with switching rooms. I was going to inform them at check out but the person who checked me out never bothered to ask anything about my stay. She just took my keys and said “You’re all set” so I left and will not be back.

Dirty bathrooms, outdoor pool broken/closed. Wouldn’t stay again

Had to change room bc ours had wet floors all over and muddy footprints in bathroom. Dirty and hair on bathroom floors. Very unsanitary. Second room was still very dirty.

I had found a dirty towel in the bathroom door. Mirror over the sink was broken. The bathroom door frame wa broken and paint it over. My cable on my tv wasn’t working and they didn’t fix it because they were short staff and nobody came over to my room to help me.

There were young kids playing by running up & down the walkway at 11pm. Banging on my door and talking loud. Plus don’t step on the floor with your bare feet. Floor was dirty.

DIRTY

This place was the dirtiest I’ve stayed at. It looked clean until my socks were dark brown from walking around the room. They definitely don’t mop the floors. Beds were comfy. Bathroom is tiny. They didn’t clean our room once and we were there for 3 days. Indoor pool was slimy. Breakfast was ok. People brought their own grills and moved furniture around so there were no places to sit and enjoy the outside space. Online advertises pool open until 11 but it closes at 9. There was also no shuttle to the beach, no outdoor movies or smores and the ice machine didn’t work.

Family friendly. Just like having the kids over to backyard space for play. Outdoor pool being redone. Indoor pool is good.

The property was decent. The room was cleanish but there were gaps around the door to the outside so bugs were able to crawl under. The toilet was also not bolted to the floor and kept leaking water when it was flushed. The beds were comfortable and clean and the included breakfast was good. The electric outlets in the room were hit and miss. Some worked and others didn’t. The pool looked to need a good cleaning. The water was murky and the steps getting in felt slippery as if algae had started to grow on them. The area felt safe so for the price per night it covered what we needed.

The room served our needs for the night. People were friendly. They had a great breakfast in the morning as well. One thing that we didn't like was that it smelled of fresh paint when we first walked in to the room.

7/10, as far as Motels go!

The room was nice and clean on arrival. You can tell they are making a lot of improvements but I didn’t realize that the outdoor pool was under construction when I booked. I assume not all of the rooms have been redone so I can’t vouch for all, just the one we were in! The water in the indoor pool was very cold, but it was really hot and had the classic super strong chemical smell. The staff weren’t exactly friendly. The towels were really tiny and not the cute ones they picture on their ad. There is a tennis court which we used for badminton. They have a little swing set for the kids. Overall, it was clean and in a convenient location.

Cleaning crew needs to do better

It’s good and nice rooms. But they don’t clean your room next day. Room Key got blocked and you have to walk to front office every time. Bathroom dirty before check in.

Just what we needed

Check in very easy. Accomadated our 2 month old by supplying a crib! Tennis court was just outside the door with racket & ball. Room was clean but cleaning product smell was very strong. Our tub drained slowly but fit our needs for the night!

A good place to stay in a budget

When we got there we were greeted by a friendly staff member who checked us quickly. Our rooms looked like they were recently painted and were very clean. I loved the clean flooring and modern style bedding. There were plenty of channels to watch on the tv after we were in for a he night. The complimentary breakfast was very good, there was a nice variety of hot and cold items and there was plenty for everyone. My only disappointment was that there was only one ice machine for the whole place and it was empty when we went to get some.

10/10 absolutely will be staying again. Very convenient location. 12 minutes from West Denis Beach! Very clean and wonderful staff!!!

Internet connection was bad and intermittent. Microwave was not clean.

Room as great. A bit outdated, but not a deterrent from staying again. The only bad part was the breakfast. It was barely edible, and I’m not really picky. The “hot” food is all microwaved. Eggs, sausage and bacon. Otherwise, it was convenient to beaches and restaurants. Lots of fun things to do for little kids. And it looks like they’re building an outdoor pool. We would stay again for sure.

Had a great stay and a great time easy access and easy to get around the cape

3rd time is the charm.

After having to switch rooms twice due to a hole in the door, and a light not working in the first two we were given, the third room was fine. Beds were comfortable, and it was clean. The woman at the front desk was very helpful with our moving around. She was very pleasant as well.

All around was better than expected. Nice place to stay. Convient also to Hyannis.

I’ve stayed at the sunbird before and I’ve never been this disappointed. There was no communication that indoor pool was not open. We had planned on being in the pool for the 2 days we booked since it’s still cold out. They also sent no communication that the breakfast buffet they always have would not be available. To make things worst there was construction on the property right next to the kids playground so that wasn’t safe. It was very poor planning on Sunbirds end. Unfortunately we won’t be booking here again.

Always a convenient stay and staff is always nice and attentive.

I like the cleanliness, the staff is always nice and the price is great. Included breakfast is also a nice touch. There’s a lot of construction around and a lot of car traffic so the noise is the only downside.

Family getaway

The pool was crystal clear, the grounds were great. Everything was clean

Arrival around 4…bugs flying in the room because of broken door, bottom portion missing…above us on second floor from arrival time to 12… loud running and stomping..2AM loud drop of heavy item, scared my daughter for the rest of the night… addressed the front desk to ask for a refund of second night booked stay… only to hear the owner could not be reached, he could only make the decision of money back for the second unused night stay…was told they would take care of the problem… went back to the room to rest around 1… quiet until4.30…started up again… loud running and thumping… we decided to leave… once again approached the front desk and same scenario, could not reach owner, day off, needed to contact Expedia, and could not get any receipt of stay to confirm anything…left totally disappointed and then contacted Expedia…

Breakfast food and staff was excellent. No complaints about our room.

My only biggest issue was the fact that we had a broken TV... instead of coming to switch it out they left it for us to do ourselves which I thought was strange.. I tried calling the desk a few times as did friends that were also staying there and no one would pick up. We stayed for 2 nights and the broken TV was still in our room when we checked out. Basketball court/Tennis court was cool... they just really need to update some of the worn out stuff

Disgusting and loud.

Checked into room late. Off the bat i noticed the bathroom tub had a ring of dirt in it. Floor was so dirty like its never been swept or mopped. You have to wear shoes unless you want your feet black undeeneath. Deadbolt was broken to the door, and as a woman traveling solo, that was terrifying. Especially the fact that housekeeping DOES NOT announce themselves before opening the door. Just 1 knock and open. Office employee seemed to not care about anything i brought up. Felt like a shelter motel. I highly dont recommend.

Escape to the Cape

Your staff is the best. They were friendly, personable and helpful You advertise a no frills facility, but there was plenty to make us want to come back...the indoor pool, a great playground for the kiddos, a very nice breakfast, and more. We will stay again

Stay was really comfortable and cozy. Room service was on point . Breakfast was good too. Also few plug points were not working which was little annoying. Also, we felt it was a little pricey for the room.

This place is great for families, theres fire pits, volleyball net, soccer, basketball courts, a park and cool seating out in that area with pots of chairs to lay out and chill. The problem was people who were at the fire pit were there during the day and stayed all night and didnt give others a chance to enjoy but obviously that has nothing to do with the place or staff. The rooms were nice but bathroom area is very weird. The sink is outside the bathroom and the bathroom itself is very small but all in all this place was very nice and fun for my kids. Unfortunately the breakfast hall was packed so i didnt get to enjoy but they have big breakfast with alot of options, a pool and it was just great.. Plus that the staff was kind enough to give an extra hour FREE just to have a little more time to get me and my family ready to go and i was very appreciative because late check out is always something you have to pay for. i will be going back!

Very clean , quiet,comfortable property. Excellent “continental “ breakfast that included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, fruit, salad, plus the usual beverages , cereals, toast, bagels, etc .

You get what you pay for. This place was on the lower end cost wise and was a good location. The rooms have been upgraded but in the cheapest way possible. Bathroom fixtures show holes into the wall. Floors/trim/paint done poorly. The bed linens were not changed, there was visible dark hair on the white comforter upon arrival. The worst thing was the powerful chemical odor in the room. I became sick from being in the room, it was difficult to breathe. There was an air purifier in the room, but it did nothing. Seemed like a band aid for a bigger issue with the property. The floors in the room were sticky, it felt gross walking on them barefoot. I will say the outside of the property is nice and there is a playground area. Our room was right by that area so we were awakened early by children screaming and playing. We stayed the night but I would not recommend this place or ever book here again.

Bathroom was dirty at arrival, they had one grill that they put a sign on and said it was for personal use only. The bedroom floor was also dirty and the indoor pool was awful. The only good thing about this place was the location.

Would not stay here again. Our room was on the ground floor right next to the grassy area with a swing set and fire pits and it was very loud into the night when we were trying to sleep. Someone called our room phone at midnight and hung up after one ring, waking us up. The room had a musty smell that was covered up by chemicals and everything was damp. Spend the extra money and boom somewhere else.
