just really tired particularly the bathroom. took an age for the room to warm up. Feels like it has run its course as a travel lodge and has been sold on and operated with out a decent investment.
Good value
Perfectly adequate for a business stay over for a couple of nights. Other customers not always quiet or considerate but thats not the hotel's fault. Rooms could be soundproofed more. Reception staff helpful. Great carvery next door.
Stayed here before and if anything it's worse. Expensive for what it is
Poor
Very disappointing, not worth the money could have got better hotels in city centre cheaper. No mirror in bathroom, cleaning poor, dirty towels left for us, very basic. Not sure who this hotel has contracts with, police attended to deal with incident, lots of noise during night from other rooms, staff talking loudly on corridor. Not a good experience at all.
Very welcoming staff member, extremely helpful and Hôtel perfectly located
Great little hotel
Very efficient check in, and I was given for me the best room possible in accordance with special requests, top/ first floor right at the end and at the rear of the property. I had a good view of Aintree stadium and approaches. Very spacious room and en suite and comfortable bed. Plenty of car parking free of charges and restrictions. The immediate area is very good for retail parks and fast food outlets, and Aintree train station is just across the road and rail travel into Liverpool and the Merseyside area is a good and cheap way of avoiding the hassle and car park charges of the city centre. Would definitely stay again.
Maybe it was the warmth of the Liverpool people but i found the staff pleasant and friendly.
Not a bad place to stay.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that most places to eat were closed by 9.30pm!!
Basic and Budget hotel - it was much as expected
It is a basic budget hotel. It does what it says on the tin. Apart from the noisy neighbours in the next room (to which the poor sound-proofing contributed), there was little to complain about. The price reflected the hotel offering.
Was good
Overpriced
Basic room for 4 people with small bathroom
1 night stay
We stayed for 1 night, the room.was clean feont desk staff were really nice and check in was easy. Room was a bit dated only had 1 double socket could do with a few more. Pillows were a bit flat and matress was very firm and no aircon . Nice stay though for what we needed
Was a bed
Stayed as a part of a horse show. Was a bed but breakfast didn’t start until 8am which meant we had to skip, which we were not told on arrival. Rooms were comfy but dated
Very nice room , easy access to Liverpool, free parking always a bonus. Staff very friendly
A great stqy
For the price, a fantastic place. Check-in was good, the parking was good, room was absolutely perfect for my needs. And, do you know what? when you travel a lot in various places or countries you are always trying to blag extra milk for the coffees. This place was the exception to that rule. Only a small thing, but that made my stay! Well done.
I stayed here in order to attend a football match. The location is great as the Aintree train station is just across the road. There are many locations nearby to eat and the accommodation was clean and quiet. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.
Apart from a pleasant experience at the check in my stay was ruined by a violent row between a man & woman. The heated, abusive argument started in the car park. The couple were allowed to enter the building where the row raged for a long time with loud, abusive language, slamming of doors in corridors and rooms. These people should not have been allowed to enter the building.
Staff very helpful. Rooms a little bit dated .
Definitely stay again
Fine for our needs and a good location
The hotel is perfectly fine for what we needed (i.e. a base and somewhere to put our heads down). I would personally say it could do with some modernisation though as it looks a bit tired in places. Could also do with additional plug sockets as the only ones are on the wall furthest away from the bed. I'd happily stay again though as the location is great, with plenty of parking and close enough to the city but much cheaper than central Liverpool.
Room was filthy and really smelly
Cheap and not cheerful
Barely got any sleep due to constant noise from the room above. Clearly no sound insulation, and seems to attract a clientele who want to party.
Perfect
Lovely place to stay over
Great front of house staff very friendly and helpful great bed and mattress for a good nights sleep Definitely stay again if I am in that area
Needs some tlc
Not overly impressed. Hotel is tired and in need of an update. Tv was a small square rather than modern widescreen. Pillows were thin. On par with a travelodge (that I will never stay at again) unfortunately wouldn’t stay there again
I am totally amazed that this property gets such high reviews. Am old premier Inn that would have to give your money back each day as there is no such thing as a good night's sleep here. Walls are not sound proofed and can hear every conversation from next door! Doors make a terrible bang everytime they are opened and closed. Decor and general building/furnishings are tired old and Badly maintained. On the good side towels are white and fluffy and the bed clothes nice and clean. It is cleaned well but due to the age and condition of the bathrooms it looks unclean. However this is more to the age and ware and tear rather than the general cleanliness.
Good stay
Perfect budget room with plenty of convenience to local amenities.
Very friendly welcome. Proper key for the room. Electric that doesn't need activating. TV that works without staff having to retune it. Basically everything the Knowsley Inn wasn't. Great food options right on the doorstep. WILL I BOOK AGAIN? DEFINATELY YES.
Staff were brilliant and very helpful will definitely stay there again
Excellent service staff very friendly and room clean and tidy, I would highly recommend staying at the Stables Inn Aintree.
100% recomended to anyone
Booked a day room for a hospital appointment. Even if it was non refundable and non changeable they let us change the dates. Staff totally committed to the job and went up and above to help
Nice hotel with lots close by
Nice hotel with welcoming polite staff
Lovely basic hotel, over the road from the train station so easily walkable. Be aware there is no breakfast option but there is a Toby Carvery opposite or McDonalds half a mile down the road. Clean and tidy, would book again.
Great location for my needs. Bedding and towels were nice and clean.
The room was nice enough but disappointed with the cleanliness of the bedding. It looked like it was all nice an clean but when I turned the pillows over they looked like they'd been covered in make up and the same went for the duvet. The wifi was also poor. Even though reported to reception they didn't know how to sort it.
Good price & comfortable - wifi a bit rubbish but probably just on my stay
A acceptable stay
Ex Premier Inn, price driven by location rather than standards, hotel is a bit tired,.. shower was good (always welcome a good shower with good pressure) over all an acceptable stay
The hotel is starting to look a little worse for wear, but the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and it was very reasonably priced.
Location perfect
Pleasant enough stay in what appears to be an ex-premier inn so no surprises. 300m to Aintree course so this is the place if you are a horse racing fan on a budget.
Nice hotel, friendly staff! Would happily stay there again.
Very good
Nice clean and friendly staff
quite close to train station (5-10 min walk) but still a quiet place. bathroom sealant needs re-doing but bed was lovely and comfortable. be careful around the building as the paving slabs on the way to the main road are wonky and could easily trip people up.
One night stay to visit son
Was a lovely stay room was fab bathroom was lovely everywhere clean staff were friendly bed was so comfy would defiantly stay again
Functional, no frills hotel. I would definitely use again when working in the area.
Suffered from food poisoning on first night. Manager and Staff went out off their way to help me through 2 horrible days and nights in isolation.
Exactly what we needed
Done exactly what we needed it to. Clean, comfy, quick check in. Nothing fancy or grand but good enough for one night at the price.
Brilliant cheap place to stay, right next to the racecourse. Close to the train station for access to the City, with shops nearby too. Will be back. Friendly staff. Large, clean room. Plenty of places to eat nearby. You get what you pay for. Some areas looked a little tired. But, that's why it was cheap, have paid a lot more for worse places more than once.
Staff very helpfull
Comfy & Clean!
Standard, can’t complain. Matched the pictures & was clean.
Very reasonable price, clean, large room with friendly staff & parking onsite.
Clean and tidy, nice room for a couple to stay the night
Very good
Good value for money close to Liverpool bars
Great transport links to Liverpool Central, where we wanted to be for the weekend. Basic but comfy accommodation. Quiet area and next to Toby Carvery for an all you can eat breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. Costa just 5 minutes walk away for breakfast and a carvery next door
Excellent place to stay can’t fault it
Only required basic facilities. Dusty room, looked tired and carpet needed cleaning. Shower didn’t turn off so an employee popped up and eventually turned the tap off and said this room and another room had same problem! Knew about it but nothing done to fix, just a comment that he could pop back and turn off again! Towel rail connection looked dodgy and shower head hung on with fresh plaster.
Excellent
It was faultless excellent service and price
Friendly. Easy Checkin and Checkout.
Cheap and cheerful 😄
The hotel was just right for what we needed which was a cheap, clean and comfy place to stay while we were visiting family. It was easy to find, loads of parking and the bed was comfy. I would imagine if you are going to Aintree this would be the perfect place to stay as it is literally next door.
It was ok for the price
There were no car park spaces available when we arrived. So the receptionist gave us her parking place. Exceptional service. I would stay here again
Great location and everything you need
All ok
ex premier inn
this used to be a premier inn so you probably know what to expect ,although clean and comfortable its a bit tired and could do with a refurb. staff friendly, food at toby inn next door was ok. 2 minutes walk to ther station and a 20 minute journey to liverpool city centre or 5 minutes to orrell park for walton vale and lots of decent pubs and cafes.
Clean no fuss hotel . Easy parking available
It was nice
The stables inn
Nice hotel clean plenty of parking and room cleaned each day . Staff plesent .
There is no place to get a breakfast near hotel. You have KFC and Pizza Hit with limited choices. don’t stay
Very easy to find, right on the racecourse, all staff polite helpful and friendly
Good base to stay, was relatively quiet, staff helpful and easy train connections for going out and about exploring.
Be ok if it was cleaned properly.
Nice greeting by staff upon arrival, Hotel yards away from Aintree race course, just quickly checked in and left for work, (i work nights) room seemed nice enough at first, large and clean looking, when i arrived back later and settled in, i noticed tgat there seemed to be a constant stream of people up and down the hallway throughout the night, which is unusual (normally me trying to be quiet coming back late) but after finally getting asleep in a fairly comfy bed i got up and went to use the shower, thats when i noticed an overpowering acrid smell of urine when i moved the shower curtain, so bad i didn't bother with the shower and packed my stuff and left the room immediately, no one on reception when i left so just dropped off key, didnt use wifi, no code was given to me and free parking outside
Comfortable stay.
Needed a last minute room for 2 nights. This is a good solid ex-Premier Inn. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room clean and comfortable. Accessible too. Had parking, and right next to the racecourse if that is what you are looking for.
