Would return for the staff alone!
Exceptional staff. Food is great. Overall fantastic resort to stay.
Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.
Very very nice property, nice customer service, a lot of dining options. Food and Beverage director Gary was the best!!!!
Check-in was easy and quick. As for the area out and around the hotel, dirty and unkept. I realize that is not the responsibility of Sandals but it does make the outside are less attractive. We did travel to the market where the cruise ships dock. Lots of shops there, all the same kind of tourist souvenirs. We did have to arrange travel to and from town and the traffic was awful.
The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The scenery was picturesque even when the weather was uncooperative. Staff was also great and accommodating when our flight was severely delayed. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
We felt Sandals Grenada was a good experience. The staff were kind and the facilities relaxing. We enjoyed the Italian and Steakhouse restaurants. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. The beach was small, but the water activities were were impressive. Pools were fun...either the central "party" pool or the pools that were more secluded. No problem finding a chair or a place to swim. We enjoyed the open-air "Living Room" where nightly entertainment took place. The local teams put on an event each night that was themed around Caribbean life. Our points of feedback it would be as follows: 1) We lost water and then hot water in our room following a large rain fall. The water was brown after the fix (supposedly to flush out dirt that had gotten in the line). We called in a ticket to have it fixed and never received any feedback from that ticket unless we called asking for a status. It was a pretty big hassle that resulted in us taking a cold shower before our scheduled dinner appointment. Felt it would have been nice to be acknowledged, have proper follow up and potentially a credit for our stay. 2). We were a captive audience to be "sold" while on site. This included our "next visit", jewelry and other miscellaneous items. We didn't enjoy being "upsold" while being on vacation. Ultimately, people were great and we'd consider going back. We just had a few experiences that could have gone better.
Very nice week spent at Sandals Grenada, had a luxury (entry-level) room with partial beach view. Loved the restaurants, the pools, the beach, the staff and the entertainment. The drinks are super tasty and the party pool always has fun games and a good vibe to it. Some of the property condition could be improved, but nothing major, small details. Some of the waiting staff in restaurants does look sometimes like they don’t want to be there, but this is to be expected when tipping is forbidden on the property. I give it an overall 8.5/10, already booked the next Sandals for the upcoming year on the property and got a good discount.
Beautiful, lush gardens and resort. Very safe and walkable. Great restaurant options.
Great food and great service! All around an excellent experience.
All staff were friendly and willing to direct us to the different areas around the resort.
The resort was great! Very laid back and relaxing! Loved every minute!
Very nice property. Comfortable rooms. Very friendly personnel. Good food.
I loved everything.
What an overrated hotel chain the Sandals hotels are. You see those tv commercials and thinking, wow what a nice hotel….but it’s absolutely NOT what you see in the commercials. We stayed for a week in both Sandals in St.Lucia and Grenada. It was terrible services on both resorts. You can feel the staff are fed up with the tourists.
10 minutes from airport but very few planes and not bothersome at all. Nice lay out of property. Party pool, quiet pool, very nice beach. Always found a chair didn’t have to get up early to fight for one. Took the jeep excursion went to small waterfall and saw and held the Mona monkeys at the rainforest…fun day. Did not have any U.S. outlets next to mirror in room so need adapter. Never had a bad meal. The escargot and lava cake at the French restaurant were my favorites. Snapper at spices also very good
This Sandals exceeded our expectations for our honeymoon! Each staff was helpful whenever we needed assistance. The food was delicious, the entertainment kept us moving, the two pools allowed for which mood you wanted to be in. We enjoyed every moment of our stay!!
Ariel is the best, she handled a situation that wa su expected and she was extremely professional
Visited Grenada for my honeymoon and it was spectacular. The resort was clean, our room was cleaned twice a day. The food was awesome and had plenty of places to eat. It's literally 3 minutes from the airport. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We tried to extend our stay but were unable to through Expedia. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back.
It was such a great experience. Sandals is clean and a beautiful resort. I would recommend!!
This was the first Sandals resort my husband and I have ever stayed at. We were looking for a small, relaxed atmosphere to spend a few days for our anniversary, and Sandals Grenada delivered. Stunning property and welcoming, courteous staff. Room was beautiful and clean (with daily housekeeping which is a treat post-pandemic). All room categories are very close to central areas. We didn’t have a bad meal and we tried almost all the restaurants with the exception of the Italian and Hibachi restaurants (for dinner). Spices and Le Jardinier were our favorites! Le Jardinier also has an amazing breakfast. We only needed reservations for Butch’s and got 7pm on night 3 with no issues. We did the beach dinner and while lovely, mosquitoes swarmed the table and we had to leave early from the biting and them crawling all over our food and drink. Did not find mosquitoes an issue except this incident. We traveled in the off-season (July) and even then all the beach chairs with umbrellas were reserved by butlers by sunrise. We headed down fairly early (8:30) and the beach was empty, so we had our choice of chairs otherwise. Something to keep in mind when choosing your room level. We did not find this as obvious by the main pools. Even with that minor inconvenience we did not feel the need to have a butler, although it’s a very nice service. The drinks were ok. We also found the coffee overly weak at the breakfast buffets and opted to pick up espresso from the French cafe instead.
We had a terrific experience at this resort. There was great food quiet if you wanted and fun and entertaining areas also.
Fantastic first sandals stay.
First stay in Sandals and it is fantastic. Food, staff, location, ambience, cocktails were all top drawer. Make sure you go to Butchs and the sushi restaurants. This resort has small village feel and each one has a different atmosphere which is great. The staff are amazing its hard to only name a few. Beach and water is amazing and snorkelling on the reef is a delight. Would highly rexcomend. One recommendation is to give out glass or metal bottles/cups for water and have cold refill stations to reduce the number of plastic bottles.
An amazing experience. We enjoyed every bit of our stay the weather, the restaurans, the views, the night-time ambiance, and nightly entertainment. Hospitality was stupendous! Everyone that represented Sandals at this resort did an amazing job. Friendly, helpful, very courteous, and accomadating. Highly recommend this resort. We will be returning. I just wish the pink Gin room was so expensive, and the room is no bigger than an average hotel room but we had an ocean view which made up for it.
Sandals Grenada was our first Sandals , we island hop every year but this year we decided to try Sandals. We were very impressed. It truly is a 5 star resort. Only issues we had was, no one encouraged the guests to join the activities. At other resorts, they had an activity person who would get guest together to enjoy the facility. Another thing I was very disappointed was Snorkeling masks were unavailable to guests(yes , they did offer snorkeling but only at their times. One could not just snorkel in the water in front of the resort. other than that very nice resort.
Best Sandals of all!
Sandals Grenada is a very well run beautiful resort. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, the food was better than expected for an all inclusive with numerous choices and well prepared and the grounds are well maintained. The dive staff is terrific as were the watersports staff and entertainment staff. The resort is located 5 minutes from the airport yet you never hear it. There is a great beach which is very mellow and relaxing or you can go to the far side of the resort to party at the swim up bar and hear music. I rarely go to all inclusives as I have found them to be crowded and not well maintained but this resort breaks all the stigmas of an all inclusive. I highly recommend Sandals Grenada.
The room wasn’t prepared & if that’s how it always looks then it needs major upgrades because there’s countless stains. It seems as if the lower rate rooms area is neglected. The fountains on the lover’s lagoon side is filthy, the water it literally brown like waste but luckily there’s no smell (yet). Asking for my meat to be cooked medium well but kept getting it super well done at every restaurant, the gentlemen at a table beside us sent his steak back twice he kept smelling it after tasting it he spit it out. It took 2 days for them to restock our mini bar after asking the front desk twice. At the bar in the entertainment area I seen a server walking back & forth with a tray of drinks which caught my eye. I went over to ask her what they were & if I can have one when another bartender overtook her to take my drink order. Being as I didn’t know what I the drink was called I simply said “I seen she had a few drinks on her tray one was blue I was trying to ask her what it was I’ll wait until she’s free” the lady proceeded to just make a blue concoction then handed to me, before I could clear the bar she said to her coworker “she just come ask for a blue drink but don’t know the name” I didn’t catch the rest but it was very distasteful & disrespectful. A lot of the female staff were extremely gossipy and rude to the other guests as well. My boyfriend & I observed nothing but unprofessionalism our entire stay. They need a change in staff ASAP.
I was familiar with the Sandals brand and was glad to be able to stay in the Grenada resort. The prices are not cheap but you get what you pay for! All the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. What I really enjoyed was the quality of the food at the restaurants. All my previous all inclusive experiences had buffets so it was great to be able to have à la carte dining and 10 restaurants from which to choose. My favourite meal was at Butch's steakhouse (although booking was a requirement). The surf and turf with lobster tail and steak was delicious. However, there were plant based alternatives on all menus to cater for veggies. I was also glad to see a Caribbean restaurant and selections of Caribbean meals were available at many restaurants (since my first all inclusive experience in Jamaica in the late 1980s only had American food!) The rooms were spacious with fully stocked fridges and all the amenities you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. The ground were beautiful and well looked after with plenty of swimming pools. I'm now considering booking another Sandals holiday at the new resort opening soon in Dunn's River, Jamaica.
Well I asked for beach front view and my room 1104 it wasn’t, it was rather pool view
Beautiful place, friendly, courteous, professional and hard working staff.
A perfect break from real life.
Beautiful resort and island to visit. The staff on property are very friendly and the property very well maintained. Food at all restaurants was also excellent. Great experience with the tours on the island. The people of Grenada are very friendly and one of the safest and most beautiful island I’ve seen in the Caribbean. Definitely will be back again to both the island and resort.
Sandals gets 4 thumbs up!
This was hands down the nicest all inclusive resort we have ever stayed at. The grounds are amazing. The food was delicious (all of it). The drinks were good and made with brand name liquors. The staff was friendly. It was all great. I highly recommend Sandals.
Best experience staff friendly. Daily and evening entertainment. Food was good. Staff truly made my experience the best.
Great!
Great place people food and weather
I think it needs more activities by both pools. I expected more dining options, just not enough restaurants.
I am 40 and I have been staying away from sandals for years because I always thought it was for older people, I was dead wrong. This resort was lively, beautiful, and great service. I would highly recommend a room with a butler service but this resort was fantastic. The pool was awesome and I have been to many resorts over the past decade and this is one of only a few that kept me engaged and entertained.
Beautiful property. Need better entertainment. Same shows every night. Need more things to do during the day at the pool. Foam party was fun. Should do more things like that. Later shows also. Always interferred with dinner. No gym?
It’s great but they need to update their AC.
Atmosphere and location were phenomenal. Food was, for the most, very good. Drinks were extremely watered down, had to buy my own outside the resort. Staff was mainly rude with a few great people mixed in. Excursions were ridiculously overpriced, I suggest booking without the use of Sandals. Grounds were kept pretty much immaculate.
First Sandals experience
Romantic getaway in Grenada. Three of the ten restaurants were excellent. All the others were decent. Landscaping was beautiful and well maintained, however weed whacking and bug spraying took place very early in the morning and woke us up at 6:30am. Entertainment was really good and enough activities if you want to do more than just sunbathe.
Had an amazing time! Beautiful water and delicious dinners.
Expedia & Sandals - WORST customer service ever! Me and my husband booked our honeymoon to sandals Grenada through Expedia , 2 weeks before our honeymoon, Sandals Grenada emailed us and said that they will no be letting us into the country due to COVID-19. Expedia has not helped us in any way, shape or form to help us navigate through this major inconvenience and refuses to cancel our trip even though we are banned from visiting the country. Every time we called Expedia, the people were outright nasty and disrespectful to us. Expedia did not offer us anything for this horrible experience with our honeymoon. Also, Expedia agents are all working remotely across the country and our phone calls with the agents have been “dropping”. We will NEVER book anything through Expedia & Sandals EVER again and will never recommend to our family, friends and co workers. The grief Expedia gave us has tainted our honeymoon and now we are unable to go on a honeymoon. We spent the weeks after our wedding running in circles between Expedia and Sandals. The worst customer service, this has been brought to the attention of the better business bureau and I am going to contact channel 5 & 7 news about our experience with booking a “5 star resort” through Expedia.
Paradise
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay and the facilities are well maintained. The resort does well to keep guests engaged and entertained each day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay and would recommend this resort to future travelers.
Stunning location, with excellent staff. Snorkeling in the bay was great too. Fantastic holiday.
Breath Taking, Relaxing and Best Ever
Sandals Grenada was no less than AMAZING!! We stayed in the Lover's Lagoon and it was perfect. Large Room and only a 5-7 walk to the beach, 2 minute walk to the Swim Up Pool. The Food was out-standing, especially Soy and Butch's. The people were even more amazing, very friendly and always willing to help, smile and say Hello! We loved it so much we are already planning on going back in 2020!! The beach was small but perfect for us. Not a lot of waves which is perfect for snorkling! For a tour of the Island, I recommend Stanly from J&J. He is very informed about the island and is well known around the island. He will custom a tour just for you!
Our 1st time at a Sandals resort it was an overall wonderful experience. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food needs improvement, meaning we travel to experience Caribbean/local foods, there were too many America food options. Same "Americanized" issue with the music, we came to the islands/Caribbean to listen to local Caribbean music, if we wanted to hear American radio songs we would've stayed home. Also more islands juices/flavors needed in the resort, such flacors as sorrel, mauby, seamoss, passionfruit, guava, etc.
The whole experience was different to anything i had experienced before. The staff made you feel welcome and went out of their way to fulfill any request to make sure the stay was enjoyable. The food was amazing and there was a variety of dining options.
We arrived and my reservation could not be found (staff mixed up my name). Our first lunch at Neptunes was horrible. Mahi seemed like compressed fish, our room's AC began leaking water to the floor after the first night and management did not have the courtesy to change us to another room even though they had avaiability for an upgrade. 3 days later, the AC was fixed. Service was slow everywhere in the property in bringing drinks by the pool and ocean side. We had to be firm regarding making reservations to their Steakhouse/ Butch's and Japanese restaurant/ Kimonos because they saud they were booked until Saturday (we arrived Monday and were departing Saturday).
GREAT RESORT FOR COUPLES
EXCELLENT SERVICE
The facilities were always clean & staff very welcoming. Stevon and Steven made sure we were always entertained and laughing by the pool. Chrissie was great at the pub; super personable and made us feel like we were at home. We decided to get our scuba certification and couldn’t have done it without Adrien. He was patient and catered to our individual needs. Overall, the view was amazing, people were friendly & invested in our having a good time, very private and clean resort. We will definitely be back!
Boutique size resort with friendly staff
We absolutely loved our stay at Sandals LaSource Grenada! My husband and I were there to celebrate my 40th birthday, and we could not have selected a better option. We chose the club level room which was nice. We had a great beachfront view and access to the club as our concierge. We wanted some R&R which we got, but there were also lots of activities to choose from which we also participated in. We went on the "pilot your own boat" tour with Island Routes (the sanctioned tour group Sandals uses) and it was a blast! We went out with 2 of the guys from the marina and another family. They took us to snorkel at the underwater sculpture garden which was great and then over to BBC beach for some swimming. The beach at Sandals (Pink Gin Beach) was not very crowded during our stay, (right before July Fourth) so we enjoyed easy access to chairs and towels. We did notice the day we were leaving which was July 4th, that the beach was more crowded, but still reasonable to get chairs etc. We used the 2 main pools. The South Seas pool has a full bar and lots of music and activities throughout the day which was fun. The other pool closer to Pink Gin Beach was also great for a more mellow vibe. The staff was INCREDIBLE! So genuinely friendly and got to know our names, and took part in the activities with us which was lots of fun. Overall, we could not have wished for a better vacation. We are looking forward to when we can go again next!
Oasis
It was like striking gold, from the ride to the hotel after a long flight to the being greeted with wine to being escorted to my room without lifting a bag, AMAZING!
We had a wonderful trip. Everyone was extremely nice and the hotel and facilities were fantastic!
Beautiful hotel; Very rude staff by and large
The hotel was beautiful, the food was good and it was a nice stay. However, most of the staff acts put out to help or serve you and you will get the run around and very slow service. The worst all-inclusive experience we’ve had.
Great experience but expected the meals to have more local cuisine. More local juices would have been ideal. Overall staff were very helpful ans friendly. Great entertainment and facilities are fantastic
Good but not great, and not a 5 star (except food)
Sandals (including this resort) failed to live up to the hype. The only exception was the food. The food was fantastic-although we would have preferred more local/Caribbean choices. The restaurants/menus were set up like everything else-very Americanized. Everything was nice. The resort is nice, but not modern/updated and doesn't feel 5-star-we've stayed at far nicer all-inclusive adults-only resorts in Mexico for half the price. The staff were generally nice, but didn't go out of their way like staff at other resorts. Everyone we met there raved about Sandals and all of the other Sandal's locations they'd been to. Sandals has created quite a cult following that really doesn't realize what they're missing The pool deck chairs were cheap plastic, and they were all taken by 7am. Plenty of chairs though packed like sardines on the beach. The excursions, all operated by Sandals, were not great and half of them weren't even available. By far, the worst part of this experience was the CONSTANT effort by the different revenue areas to sell us something (pictures, spa appointments/products, booking our next trip). While 1 bar attendant struggled to keep up with the drink orders for an entire pool deck, there were literally 3 different photographers covering the same area harassing us to take photos. And none of them ever took the first "no thanks". At first you think you might get a few good photos (at $30/each), but after being asked 100+times to pose, it got really old.
Perfect honeymoon!
From start to finish my honeymoon at sandals was amazing! We felt special and taken care of. The suite was amazing, food was wonderful, staff were friendly, grounds were beautiful! Did not want to leave!
Sandals Has It All
We chose the beach front location - the pool side and other facilities were good as well. Excellent restaurant options. Staff quite good, This was our first "couples only" experience & we enjoyed the quieter atmosphere. It was almost "too much" of a good thing because we are not big eaters & imbibers so we felt like we were supporting everyone else's reveling.
Fabulous
One of our best vacations ever!!! We will stay at another Sandals for our next vacation.
Weddingmoon
We were married at LaSource & they couldn't have made it any easier! We look forward to spending our anniversaries there.
Great Island, over rated resort
Every winter we want a break from the Midwest weather and head for the sun. This is my first experience with Sandals. I have simple needs. Comfortable lounger and service. In this resort there is a lack of loungers by the pool or the beach, You cave get up before 6 AM to reserve one, otherwise the "butler service" block off the choice seats. the cushions on the loungers are as soft as a rock, one would thing that at the prices they are charging they could afford better quality. The bar service at the pool was slow, only 4 floats in both big pools for 250 rooms on the property, Apparently this lack of space is common at Sandal since many of the couples we spoke with experienced this at other Sandals properties. Sadly this experience has soured us on the Sandals brand.
Good activities and staff were helpful with anything you needed. Good food with no wait at the restaurants. Wonderful weather and pool areas.
the beach was beautiful. the hotel room was lovely
The food was terrible. It was cold! Not fresh and all the drinks were watered down! the resort is lovely but the food service was terrible! In all fairness when I visit an island I like to explore and because this was an all inclusive it seemed to be a waste of money if you want to go out and explore! However, the food was not up to our standards at all! Everything seem to be prepared way in advance and it tasted like it! The drinks were watered down- the lemon drop martini needed more gin! We had our daughter come to visit us and we were charged $190.00 for an evening and the following day as well.! We had Italian the first night. It was ok but not up to standards. The next day we had lunch and the service was very slow and we had a bug on our glass ware! We asked for the glass to be replaced and then a glass was brought but no water! All the food was not fresh. Our last night we had sushi!~ It was terrible! I cant recommend you for the food! Needs some work! Also, we wanted a taxi and had to wait 45 minutes so we called another gentlemen who had brought us to the hotel from the airport as he gave us his card! The hotel's taxi drivers are very expensive compared to the locals! I am not too pleased with Sandals Grenada! I am sorry.
The food, staff, room and facilities were all outstanding!
Excellent!
Truly paradise! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful, clean grounds.
Sandals La Source, Grenada (Dec 17/Jan 18)
Good: * Restaurant options * Location to airport * Quality of drinks Not so Good: * Towels/bathmat at missing on numerous occasions * Coffee not always replaced * Turndown service does not always happen The Bad Bits: * Butlers reserving sun beds for guests that have no intention of using them - really annoying * Beach is not very good if you are a beach-lover
I wish I had more space to write about this place!
This place is seriously paradise. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon last week and cannot stop talking about how amazing everything was. Although the staff had told us they do something special for honeymooners, but never saw anything, the resort itself was absolutely perfect. From the moment we stepped out of the plane, Sandals had a desk with a shuttle bus to the hotel. The hotel is a convenient 1 minute drive from the airport. Once we got there, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. We had the Lover's Lagoon room and it gave us the privacy we needed and set a very romantic ambiance. Just perfect for the honeymoon. The bars or restaurants were never crowded and everyone was just so NICE! There were onsight activities every day including pool & beach volleyball, pool bar bingo, water aerobics, beach party. There was just always something happening. The bartenders take care of you for sure and they are there to make sure you have a good time. Terrance and Keyon were THE BEST!!! They knew us by name and knew what drinks we were having anytime we were at their bar. They have a DJ every night in the living room & the music was always spectacular! Some of the servers would even join in the dancing every night! Everyone genuinely seemed happy to be there! Our very best friend DAVY was the best server out there! He recommended great local places to eat and made us feel so welcomed every day!! We have never been to a Sandals before and are already planning our next stay!
Christmas beach vacation.
The place was ok nice. Friendly staff. Slow pace service. For adults only.....I think it’s embarrassing to see adults behave worse than rich kids!
Wonderful stay. Great service and entertainment.
Amazing place to stay. Great overall experience. The only downside is that the water is rough around December so you can’t take advantage of the water sports.
The Best Grenada Has to Offer
We stayed at the all-inclusive resort for 6-days. After doing some exploring outside of the resort, I do not think there is anywhere nicer to stay in Grenada. You are somewhat secluded from the local island life but if you make arrangements to leave the resort, the area is very safe! Lots of restaurants to pick from at the resort and the entertainment staff is fun (if that's what you're after). There is a party pool and a more relaxing, laid-back pool. Something for everyone! One of my favorite things at the resort were their porch swings in the "Living Room." I think I'll need to purchase one for my home. Take the snorkel trip to the sculpture garden ($30 USD) while you're there and if you are a diving, I've heard two dives per day are included in your stay.
Sandals Grenada - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only | Home in St. George's | Travala.com
The hotel is beautiful, staff is top notch especially Prince who helped us with our scuba adventures
