Fantastic place,brilliant service and food. Great location. Top quality professional staff.

My wife and I spent 5 wonderful days at Riu Nautalis in Spain. The Hotel was clean, comfortable and the Buffet had some wonderful food choices. The hotel was near the beach and was within walking distance of shops, reasaurants and bars. We had a wonderful time and will use Riu hotels in the future.

Fabulous hotel and facilities

Fabulous hotel, welcome drink on arrival and really helpful staff. Great rooms with huge comfy beds and big bathrooms. Tea,coffee in room too. Lovely pool and reasonably priced drinks. Would recommend and will stay again. Views over the pool are the best.

It felt like we were the only ones under 70- even the music/entertainment was geared towards retiree crowd. Not what we were expecting

Super Nice hotel.

Fantastic Hotel. right down to the promenade, the beach and the Mediterranean. Nice pool with plenty of sunbeds, even if you arrive late there is the option of getting a sunbed. Super delicious morning and evening buffet. Possibility of a la carte in the evening. Very clean and nice common areas. Friendly and welcoming staff. +18 years to stay at the hotel provides a nice and quiet hotel, both day and night. It's certainly not the last time we've been there. Greetings, a couple in their 60s.

Old and tired

The hotel is dated and not sound proofed. Noise in hallways. House keeping walked in on us while we were sleeping. Deceptive advertising as there seems to be a newer part of the hotel and we were in an old tired wing.

Great service and great value for a beach vacation or to explore the costa del sol area.

Checkout Staff disgraceful

Extremely rude Gentleman on check out today. Named Abdel. Abdel should be trained up in the correct attitude towards guests, for example, he could ask how a persons stay was, and perhaps not hang up so abruptly upon denying a late checkout. The hotels not full and I’d have booked further days without that checkout experience if they could have organized a proper double bed for us. Single beds only it seems?? Also, a policy of talking to younger clients like a teacher would do, I am 45, the hotel was I’d estimate at a third occupancy of mainly Dutch retirees. We were told that the hotel does not allow ppl use the facilities after check out. The Lady made an exception for us it seems as the pool wasn’t busy. Excuse me for expecting the use of facilities on check out day. Speaking of checkout it was our delay in checking out that ruffled the feathers of Mr Abdel. I make no apologies for being tardy to checkout when you arrive the night before at 9pm.

Fantastic Hotel

Just returned from a child free break at the RIU Nautilus. We arrived at 1230, greeted with a glass of Champagne and our room was ready! Had a brilliant top floor sea view room which was really big and extremely clean. Fridge in the room to use, wifi was brilliant, even available round the pool. Food was fantastic, plenty of choice both at breakfast and dinner. Cannot fault the service. Location was perfect, right on the seafront with lots of bars, supermarkets on the doorstep. Will definitely return again if we have the opportunity.

Excellent.. from when we arrived (early) to when we left, the service and facilities were excellent. Room available for early check in, reception staff very helpful, even when we left a rucksack in the taxi! Buffet food for breakfast and dinner fresh and plentiful and meal times were perfect.. Ideal location, miles of promenade to walk and within easy reach of bars and beach. Used the indoor pool, chilly but clean, didn’t use the outdoor pool, very cold but this was early March.. Will definitely visit again, well done to the staff and team, loved our visit. Thank you.

Friendly staff excellent food lovely rooms the drinks were very reasonable price the only let down were the room towels they were threadbare! They need to get some new ones

Beautiful and stylish hotel in excellent sea fron.

Lovely hotel. Large well equipped bedrooms. Shower very spacious. Room cleaned on a daily basis. Food absolutely outstanding. Plenty of choice and lots of choices for Vegetarians. Live music in the hotel every evening. Hotel foyer large and attractive. Decor very pleasing. Pool area faces the beach but is private and secure. Plenty of sun beds and towels available. Indoor pool and spa which we did not use. Car parking available in front of hotel including 3 spaces for Blue Badge holders.

Winter sun break 2023

Really nice, modern hotel, at the far end of Torremolinos, closer to Benalmádena. Great base for exploring the area. Excellent outdoor pool area and direct access to the beach. Decent buffet breakfast and dinner with plenty of choice and different options each evening. Colour scheme in the lobby area not to everyone’s taste, but bright and airy. Nice indoor pool, gym and spa.

A great stay

Booked for two nights and stayed for four. We received a great welcome, had a lovely room on the seventh floor and had dinner included. The food was typical of a buffet style hotel restaurant and with plenty of choice. A good hotel to rekax in. We especially applauded the fact that there was no music around the pool area. Easy access to the beach. Very clean throughout with friendly and helpful staff. We'd definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Had a wonderful stay! Staff (from reception to housekeeping to dining) are really friendly and helpful. Javier and Susana made our dining expereince very pleasant each time! Thanks for the oceanview upgrade! We loved staying at room 309. reception helped us a couple of times with our inquiries, they gave full attention eveyrime! Great customer service! This is our first trip since the pandemic.. happy to have chosen Riu!

Everything and everyone was fine except the indoor pool being cold. That was the biggest attraction for me so that was disappointing

Agree with all the great reviews of this hotel BUT beware apparently they have a rather strange rule which allows guests to invite people who are not staying there onto the property to use the facilities including pool and restaurant and that includes CHILDREN AND BABIES!! I do not expect to specifically book and pay for an adult only hotel and be surrounded by kids two days running I was told by the receptionist that they can visit as day guests and use the facilities. Although the sign at the entrance clearly states over 18 and guests only Not good Riu!! They told me its public property - what nonsense! I have never known this in any other adult only hotel so just a warning that your peace and quiet may be disturbed!!

Excellent hotel right by the sea was very disappointed to find the pool empty and being refurbished was not informed of that before our stay the food was very good staff and facilities excellent but is a way from any other things need a car really or go on the bus

The only dislike we had was that the hotel towels where not of a good standard and need renewing, apart from that excellent service.

Overall very very satisfied wuth this hotel staff friendly and very helpful, very cleaned every where. The room is huge and cleaned daily, the only downside is no coffee maker in the room.

First location: on the line between Torremolinos & Benalmedina - step out the secure gate by the pool and you are on the beach front promenade - perfect for strolling to either town. Breakfast views out over the pool & beyond to the Med were lovely. Staff: from manager to every single person we encountered, everyone was friendly, attentive, and seemed to love their job. All requests met with "Si!" & a smile. Rare to find such a well selected & trained group. The room: spacious with a comfortable bed, good TV (several languages) small table & chairs, extra blankets, deck a decent size for two people, bathroom nicely done although towels a bit thin. Biggest closet I've seen in a long while! Lastly: dining provided a wide variety for breakfast and dinner. We tried the reservation restaurant as well for a change and enjoyed the more private room and table service. We didn't go for the lounge acts - not our thing - but appreciated the hotel's proximity to the nearby Benalmedina Marina where we went for drinks and took a sea cruise one day. All in all an outstanding value at a great spot.

Jobs worth receptionist

Hotel booking includes dinner arrived around 8.40 pm I had 4 emails showing booking and that I pay hotel receptionist could not find it told me to wait I explained and showed her the booking all she had to do was take my money sort it out later finally the booking came through just gone 9 pm I asked about dinner “ sorry we stop serving at 9” I asked if she could contact kitchen to get a snack her answer was “no they have finished” I think she needs retraining in hospitality as I am in same buisness

Stated here at the nautilus on the recommendation of family snd wasn't disappointed so SO clean, spotless, staff where super friendly, you'll have to forgive mr i cant remember names but the lady who checked me in on the sunday night was so helpful and another lady working thr evenings was really nice as well. Excellent selection at the dinner menu, the breakfast is out of this world! I went back like 3 time's! The room is lovely a side pool view on the 3rd floor, big room and again spotlessly clean. I didnt watch the shows at night but sat in the lobby some nights reading a book, sounded lively and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The beach is 100 yards away through a secure gate st the back, supermarkets available left and right through reception. I wanted a hotel for a quiet relaxing break and i sure got it, i believe buses and trains are available in town but didnt use them i do know a tour operator is available right outside. Overall i couldnt br any happier and will for sure be back 10/10

Nice Hotel, Very Touristy Area

The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly. It is quite a large hotel with buffet, spa, pools and a nice gym. The room was quite large and the location is right on the beach with access to the boardwalk to explore the restaurants and shops. While I found the area to be very touristy, the hotel itself was very pleasant and accommodating.

Sunshine autumn break. The weather was mild and the light superb. The hotel is modern and in very good condition.

Fantastic break

We celebrated my husbands 60th birthday. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The pool area was great. Had a lovely 3 night stay. Will definitely stay there again in the near future . 👍🙂

Nice hotel getaway. The RIU resorts are very popular in Mexico and the Caribbean so that drew me to staying there. The buffet was good and great access to the beach.

4 night break

Hotel was good for a last minute break. Hotel was operating at only 50% capacity so there was a lot of space. Lots of good restaurants near by too if you don’t want the buffet.

Very suitable for our age group . Transport easily available for those whose mobility is challenged.

Pros:Location directly on boardwalk and Mediterranean Sea. Perfect for taking in the sun and people watching. Food st buffet is good. Public bar right next door tends to ne loud all day.

Nice hotel but old people and ugly town

The hotel was very nice but it was 99% people over 80 and the town was terrible.

We would stay here again.

Very clean hotel, quite busy. Restaurant staff very helpful and friendly but busy. Bar staff in the evening were not so good, they didn't seem to want to communicate, just wanted to take order and bring whatever you order. It would have been nice if they were friendly. We ended up going along the promenade and found a great bar which we went to on most evenings, in our case it wasn't the prices that kept us from the hotel bar it was the unfriendly team in the bar. The housekeeping people were very friendly and cheerful. We would return because the location was great and hotel facilities excellent.

Stayed 4 nights. Had room facing pool with balcony. Hotel is right on walkway so easy to get to beach. Took half board but would suggest only breakfast. So many restaurants were reopening lots of choices for dinner. In hotel dinner was very cafeteria style. Tables are assigned and crowded together. Food just ok. Hotel charged for use of safe. Enjoyed evening entertainment.

Nice beach resort

Room was clean, comfortable. Walls are paper thin, bring earplugs to sleep. Staff was friendly, helpful. Nice beach. Food (buffet) was a little bland but overall ok, lots of selection.

Service staff was good although they need to explain everything clearly at time of check in. Like safe locks as as option, gates locked at a certain time of night at beach. Also did not explain reservation necessary for restaurant. Otherwise staff was helpful.Also towels in room are so bad, beach towels are nicer. Time to throw them out they are like dish rags!

Malaga-Tremmolinos

Good hotel on the beach. Not located in Malaga but if you like the beach it's worth it. Limited transportation - rent a car if you like to travel independently. 15 min drive from the airport

A beautiful resort with friendly and helpful staff who all spoke English. Unfortunately the resort seems to be geared towards seniors and therefore we felt a bit out of place being a couple in our 20's. The food was typical buffet style with not many local dishes.

Modern Updated Hotel!

Right on the beach, convenient location to all restaurants & bars. Definitely an older crowd for the time we were there ( Late Feb), in our 40's and 50's- we were 20-30 years younger than most all other guests. Having said that, it did not impact our stay in the least. Prices were reasonable and included breakfast was good. The included dinner was ok, but we chose to head out most nights to try the local places. Take advantage of included Ala carte Staff was Fantastic. It is definitely a "british" area, lots of brits around and many pubs. Therefore, the staff speaks fluent English (German) & the restaurants and bar staffs in surrounding areas could speak enough English to get your order. Not the case as much if you venture out to Malaga or Granada. In all a great trip of 8 nights with friends! Recommend: La Tahona de la Carihuela - great staff and food - ask for Nikko! La Fragata - Italian & Pizza, awesome. Africa tour to Tangier, Morocco - yes the locals drive you nuts trying to sell you stuff, but a great tour guide will help. Got to see a new continent and add another country to our list, all in less that 12 hrs. by Bravo Tours. Go to Malaga. Only complaint - The beach area directly in front of the hotel was often a mess, lots of trash. They did finally clean up after the first few days. Did not impact our stay so much as the weather was cool yet sunny. We did notice the other hotels seemed to have cleaner beaches, not sure if it is hotels responsibility or locality

Good hotel and excellent staff

Good: The hotel is located right in front of the beach so the view from the swimming pool is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bad: Our room had a weird smell - like previous guests were smoking there, which is horrible for me and triggers my allergies. Could have been better: The dinner buffet is not that tasty. They have a good selection of food though. Nice to know: 95% of the guests are senior people so if you are looking for a younger / hip atmosphere, this might not be the place. Good for relaxing though.

Exactly what we've expected

First impressions of the hotel were very good. The service and staff in this hotel are all exceptional from the room and restaurants, to the front desk, concierge and room cleaning. Effortless politeness and efficiency from all staff and services. Room sizes are different in this hotel and very clean. Our room on the fifth floor was absolutely fantastic with a sea view and balcony, large bathroom and flatscreen TV ( this grey furniture could be slightly different colour though). Breakfast and dinner buffet could be more various, but still not dissapointed. Great location, 7 minutes to the city center of Torremolinos, 15 minutes to Benalmadena. Nice ambience and facilities.

Perfect hotel and location

All staff (management, reception, cleaners, waiters etc) were excellent and could not have been more helpful. Great choice of food with excellent presentation and quality. Hotel is in a perfect location and there is easy access to the promenade for anyone with mobility problems.

RIU Nautilus was good

Stayed here with my parents and two year old. Lots of older couples in resort and hotel, although number of younger couples with children increased during stay. Food, service, room, reception staff, cleaners, location(on flat and next to beach), and weather all very good. Did find a warm welcome in restaurant for first 4 days or so, then after it was not bad, but noticeably not as good I would return to this hotel, but they are switching to couples only from 2013

Good hotel in the middle of Torremolinos

Good hotel in the middle of all you can wish for in Torremolinos but got a room in a low floor and without sun in the back of the hotel even when I contacted the hotel beforehand with a wish of higher up. And the dinner buffé was better got my stays before this one

Chique hotel met persoonlijke, huiselijke stijl

Dit is echt een top-hotel! De kamers zijn ruim, ik had een balkon en zicht op het zwembad en de zee. Raquel in receptie spreekt perfect Nederlands, op een charmante manier geeft ze je het gevoel welkom te zijn. Ze herinnerde mijn naam ook, zeer persoonlijke aanpak. Het restaurant is buffetstijl en zeer verzorgd. Alle bediening is sympathiek en vlot, en Carmen sprong eruit met een glimlach en aandacht. Verse vis, die voor je ogen gebakken wordt. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid en lekker, zelfs met avocado's die je zelf kon opensnijden, en veel vers fruit. Een echte aanrader om even te ontstressen. Adult only, een chique en toch huiselijk hotel.

Dejligt hotel og hyggeligt, med venligt personale.Vi oplevede en flot nytårsfest, med god mad og underholning.

Godt fornøyd

Veldig bra sandard, restaurangen hadde veldig god og passe variert mat. Hyggelig betjening og god service over hele hotellet. Det er deilig med ingen musikk rundt bassenget, men mange som reserverer solstoler på morgenen for ikke å bruke dem før mye senere. Desverre slår ikke hotellet ned på dette.

716 huoneen WC huuhtelu ei toiminut!! Ainakin 5 kertaa siitä ilmoitimme! Ei tullut kuntoon! Hyvä hotelli kaunis allasalue! Mutta siisteys siellä todella heikko!! Aurinko vuoteita ei pesty tai putsattu! Linnun ulosteita niissä! Aamiainen melko hyvä! Illallinen varsinainen mössöä!! Ei mitään erikoista! Naudanliha pihvit kuin kengän pohjaa!! Muutenkin yksitoikkoinen buffet päivästä toiseen! Kolmen viikon matkalla viikon jälkeen söimme muualla! Hotelli hyvällä paikalla! Ihan rannassa! Huoneen patjat ja tyynyt aika hyvät! Kylpyhuoneessa vain annostus automaatti saippua! Ei shampoota! Olemme paremmissakin Riu neljän tähden hotelleissa olleet! Asiakaskunta keski-ikä 80 Lähistöllä muutama hyvä kahvila! Kauppoja vieressä!

Estuvimos de los más contentas y tranquilas. El personal del hotel, desde la recepción (Javier), hasta los camareros del restaurante (Raúl, Vanessa), la Sra. de la limpieza, en fin todos super amables, agradables y educados.

Senior only

This hotel says “adults only” but its really pension / senior only, being sarcastic. I was the only one below 60 years and with tight skin. Service of the hotel receptionist are very arrogant, I think they are not used to a young person. I had insects in my room and I spent the night finding insects and mosquitos.

The hotel interior is a little bit used, but otherwise ok. Beds are side by side but separated that was a problem for us. Average age of the clients is about 70. Pool is excellent. Altogether satisfied with the holidays.

Et dejligt hotel, hvor alt var i orden og med en perfekt beliggenhed. Der var stille og roligt, og man kunne slappe perfekt af. Morgenmadsbuffeten var dejlig varieret. Vi var ikke så begejstrede for aftensmaden, men det havde vi heller ikke regnet med, vi ville hellere spise på nogle af de dejlige lokale restauranter

Yöpyminen ookoo. Vietän talvesta 2/3 hotelleissa. Uin, snorklaan, patikoin. Snobi hotelli. On allas ja meri vieressä, mutta ei saa kastella itseään.

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse, 3 nätter, allt fungerade bra med både frukost, middag och Uteområdet vid poolen. Kommer gärna igen.

Kaikki muu oli hyvin ja erinomaista paitsi: kuntosali ahdas ja se pitäisi aueta viimeistään 06.30-07.00 ja sen jälkeen mennään vasta aamiaiselle 07.30, ei toisinpäin. Miksei baarissa ole luottokorttimaksumahdollisuutta? Johdon pitäisi luottaa henkilökuntaansa eikä juoksuttaa asiakasta ja baarimikkoa kassalle??

Upea hotelli Benalmadenan huvivenesataman lähellä

Erittäin siisti ja hyvin hoidettu, kaunis hotelli. Viihtyisä huone, jossa vastaremontoitu kylpyhuone. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Erinomainen aamiainen ja erittäin monipuolinen illallinen (puolihoito). Lyhyt kävelymatka upeaan Benalmadenan huvivenesatamaan. Tasokkain 4 tähden hotelli, jossa olemme majoittuneet lukuisilla ulkomaanmatkoillamme. Tulemme majoittumaan tässä hotellissa myös seuraavilla Aurinkorannikolle suuntautuvilla matkoillamme.

Hôtel moderne avec buffets incroyables

Nous avons tout apprécié dans cet hôtel vraiment digne des 4 étoiles. Personnel souriant et agréable. Buffets à volonté de très bonne qualité et variés. Malgré le beau temps il était un peu juste pour profiter de la magnifique piscine extérieur donc nous avons profité de la piscine intérieure. Les chambres sont luxueuses avec une bonne literie à l'exception du lit d'appoint pour notre fille. En résumé nous recommandons l’hôtel au bord de la mer.
