Staff is amazing. Breakfast in the terrace was wonderful. We will definitely come back.
The staff is so helpful. There’s an amazing breakfast that’s included. The area is really safe and close to a Metro station. There’s a lot of great restaurants nearby.
We had a wonderful stay at QuodLibet. As the other reviews mention, the staff is very accommodating and helpful and breakfast was wonderful. It is in a very convenient location as well- the metro stop is just a walking minute away. Our room was spacious and clean. Would absolutely stay there again.
Host very helpful. Ina great location-close to Vatican, metro, restaurants, etc. the room was very clean and breakfast was delicious! Love the latte and fresh fruits with eggs and croissants! Great selection . Would highly recommend
Very helpful and friendly host, good breakfast up on the rooftop terrace, clean and spacious rooms with good AC, close to Vatican. The metro line was closed when we were there but buses are convenient. A very pleasant stay.
This place is absolutely lovely. The location is perfect as it is down the street from the Vatican yet it is in a quieter area. The room is extremely comfortable and the bathroom is brand new. The breakfast on its own makes this THE place to stay. Such a lovely atmosphere - I will come back here
We stayed in Rome for 6 nights and Quodlibet was a gem of a find. The hotel was very clean and Gianluca and his staff were fantastic hosts. I would like to give special thanks to Lizette who took care of all our needs and answered all our questions. Our stay in Rome was fantastic, and it started with our wonderful accommodations at Quodlibet! 10/10 stars!
Very helpful and hard working staff. Breakfast was excellent on the roof a great way to start a day when you are touring Rome all day. Very quiet and close to Vatican and metro. I would stay there again!
We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Rome. And if we ever should return, we would be staying here again. This is a very clean, fully serviced, safe property with outstanding service from the team. Lizette and team are incredibly warm, welcoming and inviting and go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. The entire vibe of the place is cozy and welcoming. The bathroom shower products etc are really lovely too! The team are also very knowledgeable and helpful in terms of transit support and directions and transit to / from the airport and port area. It is very centrally located in walking distance to the Vatican and hop on / hop off buses / transit etc. We really appreciated the support to get to the port in terms of transportation. This is truly a gem in Rome!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! This is a GREAT bed and breakfast that offers fantastic customer service. Gianluca is an excellent host and the daily morning breakfast was the best we had in Italy.
The hotel was ideal for us, near the Vatican City and a short metro ride to the colosseum. The hotel also advised they could offer an airport pick up which was going to be cheaper than the train. When I let the hotel know our original flight had been cancelled they rearranged the airport pick and despite a further delay to our flight the driver was still at the airport despite it being very late at night. This made getting to the hotel stress free.
Best hotel ever!
It was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. And breakfast was included. Beds were so comfortable. The staff and owner were very friendly. So close to all of the sights Rome has to offer. 10 minute walk to the Vatican.
The host is fantastic. So attentive to guests and very helpful. The breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start each day
Exceptional value and location and breakfast
Reviews matter! What an exceptional gem. We are a family of four and LOVED this stay. First time to Rome, it was AWESOME. VERY close to the Metro. A 5 minute walk to the Vatican. The breakfast was SPECTACULAR. We goofed and didn’t book in time to come back and chose another guesthouse; BIG difference. Here are my suggestions 1. The restaurants around the Ottaviano are cheaper and consistently pretty good. Pizza and donner kebab great. Very little English spoken. 2. The location is away from crowds and seemingly very safe. I trusted my 14 yo son to walk back about 8 blocks alone. 3. The gelato recommendations very good. Restaurant recommendations geared more to the Italian palate (my kids did not like). Would look for “tourist” haunts. 4. Gianluca and his staff made this trip great. Eating breakfast on the rooftop was VERY special. 5. I would suggest the Metro pass immmediatley. While we walked around Rome extensively….i would probably Metro first and walk less. 6. Out the exit to the right of Barberini (Trevi Fountain) and left at the top of the stairs was the BEST pasta we ate (and great steak). 7. I would probably defer to other gelato places than the one on the corner. Exceptionally mediocre. One on the way to Trevi had organic and natural and our #1. 8. Be careful booking tours through Viator. Nonrefundable if you miss. BUT great tour guides. This would be my #1 booking next time if available. -Dr B
50th Anniversary
Wow!! What a wonderful experience. We were picked up on time at the airport by pre-arranged chauffeur . The manager Gianluca, gave us a brief, but very informative map tour of the sites which we were able to walk to. The roof top breakfast was exceptional. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Gianluca helped us extend our trip for an extra day. The location is central to the main attractions, collesium, forum, trevi fountain etc. The rooms were clean and well stocked. Nice HOT water. We highly recommend Quodlibet (whatever in Latin) for families or Lovers like us, you will not be disappointed
I don't know where to start for the Quodlibet. Juan Lucas is charming, accommodating, interested and interesting, always concerned about how things are going with you...there are just not enough words to describe how lovely he is. The Quodlibet in turn is clean and inviting and so so charming with breakfast on the roof. And it's situated near the metro and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. I traveled with my granddaughters and felt totally safe the whole time we were there. It was wonderful!
This place was incredible. Gianluca was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and overall the perfect host. The location was good, 100m to metro. Nothing more than a 20min metro ride away. Felt nice safe and secure. And if you get the chance of Gianlucas eggs and bacon, bite his hand off ! Damn it's good Thank you Mr Martin for a great and memorable stay 😊😊😊
Lovely
Fantastic! The location was perfect and the service impeccable. We will be back!!
My friend and I loved our stay at QuodLibet. - Safe and walkable location - Very close to the metro, dining options, and the Vatican - Pleasant owner/host with fantastic communication - Friendly and helpful staff - Charming and clean spaces with great air conditioning - Very comfortable beds and pillows - Delicious breakfast - Beautiful rooftop (where breakfast was served) During my next visit to Rome, I wouldn't hesitate staying at QuodLibet again. Gianluca, thank you for such a lovely experience!
We received a very warm welcome and recommendations for places to eat and walking routes to see the main tourist attractions. The family room was ideal for our family with two teens as it had two rooms, one with a double bed plus sofa and the other with two single beds. It was very conveniently located just a few steps from the subway and easy walking distance to Saint Peter’s Square. There were plenty of dining options close by. We visited during a heatwave and the air conditioning was very welcome after a day of sightseeing. Would definitely recommend and they fully deserve the excellent reviews I read before our visit.
This place was adorable. The staff was so friendly and helpful, they recommended a place for dinner and even made the reservation for our group. Very walkable to several restaurants, gelato and bakeries. Included was a wonderful breakfast on the lovely rooftop terrace. We were only able to stay one night, but would be happy to return in the future.
Staff was wonderful! Adorable terrace for outstanding breakfast!
This small property is a wonderful option very clean and rooms confortable. The management is very informative and accurate. The Metro is only steps away and the owner's attention to details was very refreshing.
We were thrilled to find this place. The owner met us and gave detailed instructions on places to go and recommendations for restaurants, he even arranged our transportation to and from the airport. Booking this B&B is like having a private concierge along with it. It is clear from our experience that he has been doing this for 24 years. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking Rome is always phenomenal! The location of this B&B is perfect, only a few blocks from the Vatican and a short walk across the Tiber river to the other major archaeological sites. Even better, there is a 24 hour bakery in the ground floor right underneath this place!! We just can't recommend this guest house enough!
We stayed for 3 night and we enjoyed the stay as it was clean and well maintained . The host Martini greeted us on our arrival and briefed us on the details. He provided us with information on the surrounding for our visit and meal. We have nice breakfast at the rooftop. One of our friend stayed here 8 years ago gave us the recommendation and it did not disappoint us!
We loved everything about the QuodLibet...the location couldn’t have been better. Close to the Vatican and restaurants and public transportation. The staff and owner were so very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The property itself was clean, quaint, and extremely comfortable. We will definitely stay at the QuodLibet again when in Rome and we’ll very highly recommend it to friends and family traveling to Rome.
Convenient location and great host who went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. This was the last stop of our two week vacation in Italy. We were glad to have chosen QuodLibet. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay at this apt . It’s locates near a train station and by some nice restaurants. The staff was very accommodating and super friendly they made us feel like family . We both loved the breakfast and how clean everything was .
Fantastic Stay in Rome
The hotel is very close to the metro and the Vatican. The room was clean and comfortable. Gianluca was extremely helpful and provided us with a map of the best places to visit including the recommendation of restaurants. Free mini bar in the fridge and excellent breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Highly recommend QuodLibet.
Awesome.
Exceptionally good stay at QuodLibet. Very well appointed room with access to full kitchen. We couldn’t have asked for more. Breakfast on the roof deck consisted of fresh pastries from the bakery next door. Gianluca and Rhona were very helpful in making our Rome experience a pleasant and fulfilling one.
Nice please to stay close to all attractions
Was amazing, the host was extremely receptive, nice advices and good indications about food, etc
Highly recommended for great location and service
Great location (quiet neighborhood but only 7 mins to Vatican City) with superb staff. Breakfast on the beautiful terrace is definitely a plus. The owner was away during our stay, but Rona and her colleague (forgot her name sorry!) were amazing and made sure we were well looked after. We had a 7AM tour at the Vatican City and though normally breakfast isn’t served until 7:30 the staff made extra lengths to serve us breakfast before that. Now that’s excellent customer service, and we appreciate the informative package with fantastic recommendations for authentic/ family-run restaurants/ gelato/ walking routes in the neighborhood. We had a family room for 4 ppl including 2 adult children and it is clean and had a high ceiling which we loved. Only criticism is the shower door needs to be fixed since water is leaking a bit but otherwise we are very happy with our stay and would gladly return to Quodlibet in our next visit to Rome.
The price is very reasonable. The room is beyond our expectation. The location is very good, close to Metro Station, laundry, supermarket, and Vatican city. The owner were very responsive when we asked questions before we went. The B&B does not have front desk, but we emailed to them to arrange the time of arrival (for us at 8PM), and it worked perfectly. The owner and staff gave us some very valuable information about the restaurants and tourist attractions. The room is very clean, and the size is decent. The wifi signal is also very good. Very lovely place to live. Will definitely come out.
Amazing hosts ...
Quodlibet deserves a rating higher than what the scale could give. Gianluca is amazing. He is very attentive to the needs of his guests. Particularly, I am very impressed with how he went out of his way to help us get a cab to the train station in the midst of a public transport strike, which is no mean feat. He has redefined the standards of service. Well done!
Quod Libet was the perfect choice for our stay in Rome. It’s in a great location close to the metro and walking distance to the Vatican with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Gianluca was warm and welcoming and provided us with great suggestions for walking and seeing the sights in Rome. The breakfast on the rooftop patio was a nice way to start the day and an unexpected surprise. The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. We will definitely stay again on future trips to Rome and will recommend Quod Libet to friends who might be visiting. Thanks for the great stay!
great breakfast, clean rooms, the owner takes very good care of you
Gianluca is a very good host, he gave us a map detailed with colored markers for walking routes that we were able to do and see all the sights. The breakfast is plentiful, the rooms are clean, the metro is nearby, the Vatican is a 10 minutes walk and Gianluca's tip about leaving the Sistine chapel was very helpful. We spent time in the morning having good conversation with Gianluca sharing our previous day. The care package we received when we left was very thoughtful and a nice touch. Stay here if you can, you will be glad you did.
A very enjoyable stay in Rome at Quodlibet with Gianluca and staff. We were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. A comfortable room and great breakfast on the terrace. We were given wonderful options by Gianluca to explore Rome and his restaurant recommendations were excellent. A home from home. Thanks once again for accommodating our family and we look forward to visiting again. Grazie Mille!
My wife, sister-in-law, and niece just returned from an 8 day stay in Rome at QuodLibet and the absolutely loved it! The said the location was perfect.
great location for the sites of Rome
The guest house is in a great location for seeing the sites of Rome. Gianluca was a lovely host. Taking the time to show how to make our way around Rome weather we needed to walk or use the metro which is great value. We were given a welcome bottle of wine on arrival and the room fridge was freshly stocked each day and included in the cost of our stay. Breakfast was served by Gianluca on the roof terrace, which was lovely sitting in the sun having your breakfast. The food served was continental but enough to set you up for the day. Rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished. Cannot fault anything that was negative about our stay. On leaving Gianluca gave us a leaving gift bag of coffee, candies, pasta & biscuits. I would highly recommend this accommodation and my family and I will definitely be back to visit again. Also Rome was a great city to visit
Clean and nicely decorated room. Location is excellent, walking to Vatican and the old city. Staff is very attentive and breakfast on the terrace is very good.
Gianluca is like a family member- helpful, caring, personal and a wealth of information.
I can say QuodLibet was the best choice i could have made for this recent trip to Rome. You can stay in an extremely nice and convenient location for a reasonable and fair price. Besides that it's close to everything, steps away from Ottaviano/San Pietro train station, lots of restaurants, cafes, dry cleaners, stores and etc...everything by walking a few steps. Room has a decent size, very cooling AC (you must have it during summer), good storage for clothes and very important it has a modern stile clean bathroom with a super strong jet shower :). Breakfast area is super nice on the roof top. You can have a nice breakfast along with a excellent cappuccino coffee every morning - believe me. On top of everything i wrote above i would like to highlight the management team and the staff. Extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Gianluca will tell you all you need to know about Rome, the best restaurants, the best ways to get around and the places to visit as well. Many thanks to Gianluca, Connie and the QuodLibet team for helping me have a great time in Rome with a very safe, comfortable and well located accommodations. Last but not least i really like the QuodLibet souvenir/gift bag i got during my check out :) So yes, i do recommend to anyone to stay in QuodLibet when you visit Rome. Many thanks and Best Regards Thales Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Excellent location. Such friendly staff. Room was nicely decorated, and we felt very comfortable. Would highly recommend!
Neat venue in mixed use apartment building with a rooftop breakfast "garden." It's close to St. Peters and the Vatican. Upon our arrival, they sat down with us and explained three walking routes with attractions and restaurants, all on a personally-made map! The restaurant recommendations were great, more local and less touristy than we would have found. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful experience! Gianluca and his staff were so friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough about the incredible hospitality we received. The rooms were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. We also greatly appreciated the delightful breakfasts every morning. The B&B was in a very convenient location, a short walk to the Vatican and an even closer walk to the metro. We found Rome to be a delightful city to walk and QuodLibet was a great home base for us, we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. I highly recommend QuodLibet, we would definitely stay with Gianluca again!
QuodLibet is a special experience. It's very quirky since it consists fo seven rooms on the top floor of an apartment building. The rooms are lovely. Gianlucca, the owner/manager is the best "host" we've ever had at a B&B. And it's beautifully located for touring the Vatican area and Renaissance Rome (i.e. Pantheon, Piazza Novona, Spanish Steps, etc. Gianlucca provides excellent instruction about how to travel further easily, and he gives out a great restaurant list.
First time to Italy.
Absolutely amazing. Our hosts were terrific and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. When in Rome...stay at QuodLibet!!
Couldn’t have chosen a better choice place to stay. Excellent location, staff fantastic , nothing too much trouble and excellent recommendations provided for places to eat which we found so helpful. Accommodation spotless - made our first stay in Rome so memorable. An absolute gem.

Quod Libet far exceeded my expectations!. Gianluca and his team were friendly, helpful and generous. My room was lovely and so comfortable. The breakfast was incredible -- croissant, breads, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffees and teas -- with no limits! The location was less than a mile from St. Peter's Square, which I visited every day. It was clean and safe as a solo traveler, with many dining options. I would highly recommend Quod Libet, and if my travels bring me back to Rome, I will certainly stay there again!
