A few things need attention for safety. Also, small Fridge in the rooms would be very beneficial. Breakfast Would be nice if different every day and a few options. Having the same thing every day was not satisfying. The Views were AMAZING. Little pool was enjoyable to cool off. Help getting Luggage to and from Hotel was appreciated by the Strong Men working there. Thank you
When I was beginning my trip to Thailand, this is the kind of hotel I was yearned for. Something out of the ordinary that really made me felt like I lived in another country. Green Hill Resort nailed it. For me it was an easy 10 minute walk from the pier. Once you get to the hotel, you better love stairs, because reception and the rooms are up them. I think my room was over 130 haphazardly placed steps up the side of a mountain. Check in was easy and the staff was nice. They even helped bring my bag up those stairs (props to him because his breathing made it seem like he was about to pass out). They sell tours and boat tickets at the front desk for a fair price (I did a long tail boat tour with snorkeling and then a ferry ride to Krabi). They even threw in a tasty free breakfast with that tour. Room was nice once I got in. Spacious, great AC, nice view, and quiet given the hotel is away from the main area of Phi Phi. They also have a cat that roams the property who is very friendly. There were some flaws of course. The bed was harder than I would have liked though I slept great anyway. There was also a bird and lizard living in the wall near the ceiling. The lizard liked to come into my bathroom to say hi a couple times. Neither of these bothered me much. Overall, if you want your stay in Phi Phi to be more of a story to tell, I would highly recommend staying here. If you want a typical hotel experience, might be worth going somewhere else.
Short walk to the village and the beach. Great AC. It shuts off while you’re gone but can cool down the whole bungalow in no time
The property was good for what you pay for. Pool was nice, staff were friendly. But as mentioned don't expect a highly rated resort. It's a budget treehouse bungalow. In a quiet area. Overall good experience.
Good location, just a short walk to the beach and shopping
Difficulty finding property after leaving the Ferry. Also quite a hike up some hills to get to the property. Would suggest that you print out map directions before you go or have google maps easily accessable when you arrive on the island. The staff was very cordial and the breakfast of scrambled or fried eggs with toast and coffee was ok. Property is right on road leading to lookout and pretty close to many restaurants and beaches.
PhiPhi Green Hill lives up to its name... it is situated on a massive hill. From the pier you walk 15 minutes up hill and then we walked 100+ steps to our room. Once in our room, it looked like a treehouse. Which was fine but we opened the door to the bathroom and there was many geckos and even a cockroach. The geckos were fine but cockroaches are disgusting. Along with this was a massive boulder the middle of the bathroom- about a meter in diameter and tall- they just painted over the boulder. The price was way to expensive for what you get. Of the 6 places we stayed in Thailand so far, this was the worst. Super friendly staff but I would not recommend unless they made some renovations and cleaned their facility.
Cheap and convenient place for backpackers
The manager is very nice and helped me to postpone my booking of 1 day because I missed my ferry. Plus, he got my laundry done for free. Rooms are cleaned. Only drawback is this is not well soundproof and you hear beach parties and neighbours quite loud
Quiet little getaway
This place is great for a couple on a budget or someone wanting to have some “me time”.i was greeted at the pier on arrival and walked and driven to the location.was upgraded to a bungalow due to them running out of rooms but it was awesome.lcd tv with satellite, big bathroom and cold ac..no fridge tho (..lots of steps and very steep area but it is a mountainous island.cheap stores and restaurants nearby but a little hike to pier and beach.would recommend
Not bad
At last night the frog was walking in my room because of heavy rain.
Parfait
Hotel a eviter
Really far away from shops and all. Impossible to find without asking 10-20 thaippl. GPS wont guide you right. We had alot insects and so, music whole night, like it was a Club next to us. And chicken 06:00 waking you up every morning! 😂😂! Service great, but location and stuff around not good! Price is cheap, but i would rather pick a hostel then!
Råttor i innertaket
