Overnight business stay
Brilliant stsy. Lovely spacious rooms. Beds and pillows are so comfortable and hotel is very quiet so got a great nights sleep. The room amenities were great. Breakfast was delicious too
everything was great at the hotel The breakfast service was poor
Great customer service
Clean, smart, with nice rooms.
All wonderful
Gorgeous hotel, staff really do go the extra mile. We managed an early check in and to the most beautiful suite. Beds are extremely comfortable, did not want to leave! Thank you middle eight for making my husbands birthday one to remember!
Staff was great. Perfect location to lots of attractions.
It was a lovely hotel, comfortable, great amenities, nice location. Really enjoyed my stay
This is our 2nd stay at this hotel and we will definitely stay again. The staff are so lovely, helpful and attentive. The position cannot be beaten for us, enabling us to walk most places or with direct tube links further afield. The rooms are immaculate and this time we had breakfast in our room which was excellent.
Brilliant
An excellent hotel in the heart of london
The air con in the room would not go off, despite constantly turning it off, so it was really cold through the night. The room was very small and very basic. The bed was also very small and the duvet was awful and lumpy and the mattress cover didn’t even cover the mattress.
Really great location, amazing service and property
Excellent hotel and staff
Beautiful modern hotel in a perfect spot for exploring central London. Saq the receptionist greeted us very warmly and was excellent. Even upgraded us after our very long day travelling. We will definitely stay again.
Only got 1 day instead of 4 because of family bereavement & hotel were not very accommodating at all
Convenient location
I requested a quiet room from the very beginning, away from the elevator and external noise. They placed us in the room closest to the elevator (room 314) and we heard a squeaking noise non stop when in the room. It sounded like furniture being moved in the room above us, but we finally figured out it was the elevator! This was extremely annoying and I think the hotel should address it for the sanity of their guests.
Beautiful hotel, rooms very updated, top quality staff. Would love to stay again!
Middle Eight is modern, clean, secure, conveniently located, and has great staff. A special shoutout to Saq for making me feel so welcome the instant I arrived. I have no dislikes.
Excellent as always
A lovely property with helpful and polite staff!
One of the best we have ever stayed at. Compares very well to some of the top hotels, A real hidden gem.
Convenient location for the West End and Covent Garden. Warm, friendly and efficient staff - from check in to checkout, everyone we came into contact with was lovely and helpful. Room was compact but well-designed and had everything needed. One of the towels was stained, so while I’m sure it was clean, made it look a little grubby but other than that everything was perfect.
Perfect
Absolutely amazing! Staff, location, cleanliness, room service, front desk, concierge, bell persons - I have not a single thing negative to say. Our stay was wonderful, and stress free. From the moment we waked through the doors (actually before bc they came to the door to help with luggage) the whole experience was spectacular. Such a fun hotel and great location to all of London.
Great little find
Upon arrival the service was great, friendly staff, beautiful reception area and bar. The rooms are modern, clean and in good condition full of amenities
Fab hotel 👌
Lovely hotel, staff were attentive on arrival with a nice glass of fizz as we entered the lobby with our luggage. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Stayed for a couple of nights, great location for Covent Garden & tube station nearby. Would recommend 👌
Amazing hotel really enjoyed our stay
In hindsight id stick to the basic room
Staff were really friendly and accommodating offered complimentary mini bar on first night and i enjoyed the gym, the library/terrace and breakfast at the restaurant. However we upgraded to the executive room which was near enough double the price of a regular room with expectations of a king size bed and a nice view and a bit more space. It was a bit bigger but the view was absolutely horrible and worst of it all the king size bed was 2 single mattress put together which was a real turn of and kind of ruined the experience, amenities were basic aswell.
Beautiful hotel with a vibe
Stayed here a number of times and it doesn’t disappoint!
Lovely hotel, wonderful room, clean, cosy and beds were very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to book To stay here again.
We loved it here! Staff was so friendly and welcoming.
Best hotel in london
Best hotel I’ve stayed in in London, as a solo traveller I felt secure and looked after. The hotel itself was stunning, spotless and felt very luxurious
Excellent location
Not a good value for money
The deco is cheap and the hallways are very narrow. We were put up in the second-floor room above the bar. The thumping music from the bar continued close to midnight. Although our breakfast was included, we decided not to eat at their breakfast as they looked grim. Location is convenient if you are a tourists. We felt like we were staying at the Premier Inn in disguise.
Wonderful check in experience. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms. Beautiful street, near several lovely cafes.
Excellent location. Hotel is renovated. Lots of restaurants around.
Great on all levels.
This hotel is phenomenal. Will absolutely stay again.
Reception staff are friendly and attentive, lobby and bar area is stunning in contemporary design. Rooms are comfortable and have little touches for example welcome note and cookie dough. Mini bar poorly stocked with little choice of wines, spirits, beers, etc mainly stocked with Diet Coke / cokes. Maid service was terse, English is not widely spoken or understood with our housekeeping staff and although do not disturb was notified as well as verbally we were disturbed three times during the day one after the other. The housekeeping staff banged the door to the stairs so many times and do hard our bedside tables shook and contents fell to the floor. Breakfast was a shambles: chef arguing with staff, waiting for 30 minutes for a cup of tea, having to ask three times for a piece of toast which was half a slice of bread cut into two. Little choice and very rude staff spoiled the hotel. Definitely would not recommend.
The Middle Eight was a wonderful base for the last two days of our honeymoon. Our "Executive" room was spacious and modernly appointed. I enjoyed the soft and dimmable lighting. The hotel was a perfect area for shopping and theatre going, Covent Garden, etc. Hotel staff even came to our room with a small plate of cookies and a handwritten card to congratulate us on our wedding. A very pleasant stay.
Great staff and good hotel apart from a noisy lift
Good location and good communal spaces. Room was smart but a bit on the small side for the money
Lovely hotel. Really convenient central location. Amenities in room were excellent; toiletries in bathroom, contents of minibar, kettle, coffee machine all included. Nice to be offered a drink at check in (soft drinks or Prosecco) at no extra charge. Member of staff at check in was really good; she asked us our plans and gave a couple of recommendations. I appreciate being able to control temperature of your air conditioning, which is not always a given. Excellent shower and really comfortable bed. Second time staying at this hotel.
Front staff on check in were fantastic. I stay in London 2 nights a week and this was my first visit to your hotel
Beautiful Stay
Gorgeous room Decorated beautifully Glasses, cups, spoons were so nice nice to have a room with champagne coupes Would have loved a bath , only a shower Pillows and bedding was luxurious, would have been nice with extra pillows and pillow selection Staff were lovely and welcoming
Middle Eight Hotel is a Must!
We loved middle eight. Is in a perfectly prime location.. so easy to walk between covent garden and soho. The hotel is clean and well kept, the room was comfortable Abe the staff was so kind. Thank you to Saq for a great check in
Cool decor and vibe. Great room.
This was our second stay at Middle Eight and spent 2 nights at this hotel on this visit. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property is within walking distance of Covent Garden and is beautifully designed, with a clean and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The room was lovely—spacious by London standards, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. The bathroom is small, but again, average size for a central London hotel. The facilities and service were top-notch. From the friendly and professional staff to the excellent on-site bar, everything exceeded expectations. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options, and everything was fresh and delicious. The veggie option was a welcome change from the usual sad vegetarian sausage and beans option. Will definitely stay here again.
Enjoyed the stay!!
Excellent hotel. Kept impeccably. Room service finished at 9pm though!!!
Great hotel; super service from staff (friendly, respectful and v helpful)) great room and shower, perfect night’s sleep. Excellent!
Great location with a lot of shops dining bars and more!
A Covent Garden Hotel
What a lovely hotel with a great team of staff helping. Lovely room, Urban Deluxe with plenty of room and a modern smart clean feel
Excellent location hotel very good. Had breakfast first morning they didn’t give my husband what he’d ordered and my advocado on toast was watery. Service was poor so went elsewhere the following morning but thankfully we weren’t charged for it
Staying In Covent Garden
Closd to where we wasnted to be ie Covent Garden, the Theatres and shopping we were able to walk as Picadilly line was down which cld have been a nuisances. Great hotel, quiet, and people very kind highly recommend the superior Urban Room was excellent probably worth a little up grade we loved itx
Great hotel, perfectly situated. Well recommended.
Perfect hotel
Always a great stay at the Middle Eight, it’s always our first choice when staying in London!
Escellent Hotel
Excellent hotel which was exceptional in all spheres, the bar was very pricey for drinks, the room was spacious and well equipped, the bed was extremely comfy, the staff all lovely and helpful, and professional- found no fault.Great location with tubes a couple of minutes walk and easy walk into covent garden
Great location for exploring London
Very comfortable hotel. Great service and a lovely restaurant. Super comfy bed!
Short one night stay
A very warm welcome from the staff, we were greeted with a welcome drink. The room was very nice and clean and had everything you needed, very spacious and stylish. Would highly recommend
Amazing hotel. Great location!
great stay!
Below average for price
Not a good check in - staff not very welcoming, same with check out and baggage. Room was quality but small things like timescale on shower and worn doors let it down. Bar closed early on a Say night. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend compared to other hotels in same range.
Exceptional hotel, great location . Attentive staff , only negative is the bar is very slow and understaffed. However , you are steps away from other options
We were given an upgrade to a luxuary suite which was fantastic, top quality hotel
Hotel is convenient for many of the attractions in London and there are plenty of good places to eat (and drink) close at hand. Unfortunately, the check in was painfully slow and some of the services were not as good as on previous stays. We like the hotel but at its price we may have to rethink another visit.
Great base for theatre district
Fantastic location. Great reception, offered drink on arrival whilst waiting to check in.
Excellent service, rooms were spacious and well presented. So close to Covent Garden yet so quiet
The hotel is conveniently located. 5 min walk to Covent Garden and not far from the tube. The rooms are comfortable. Service in the bar is very slow, the same as it was last time I visited. That time I put it down to it being new and staff finding their feet. I found the staff friendly throughout the hotel.
Such a convenient location if going to the theatre, Covent Garden has so much to offer. The hotel and staff in my opinion excelled in the level of professionalism and service.
Cool hotel
Exceprional service and food.
The service in Middle Eight is outstanding. Quite exceptionsl. Location is fantastic - fiveminswalk to covent Garden. The food and concktails wre equally top class. Definately one for a return visit.
Great hotel, great wheelchair access
Stayed here as it was extremely central to Covent Garden and the Theatres. The hotel is modern and the wood theming is nice. Best of all though is the wheelchair access, really spacious rooms (for the location and price) with all the facilities needed for an electric wheelchair user.
Amazing
Fabulous staff

We will be back
Unfortunately I had one of the worst nights sleep I have ever had in this hotel. The air conditioning was set at an extremely high temperature. The controls in the room are pointless as they do not work. I called the front desk in the middle of the night as the room was so uncomfortable. They brought extra bottles of water and reset the air conditioning but it made no difference. The following day I had a migraine due to heat and dehydration. My husband went down to the front desk. They would not move us to another room. They sent up a handyman who agreed that the temperature was unbearable. He worked inside the room and made some changes to the unit - demonstrating the hotel sets the temperature and the dials in the room do not work at all. By the evening of our second night, the room had cooled to an acceptable temperature. Had it not, I would have left the hotel and gone elsewhere. Overall, a very unhappy experience which I will never repeat.
Have stayed at Middle Eight a number of times and as usual, the latest stay was brilliant.
Perfect stay
Lovely hotel, great location, friendly attentive staff and very comfy bed
Great location, very quiet room, modern lighting, sofa and table. Rain shower. Nice and clean, amazing bar
The check-in staff is very nice. We were able to get an earlier check-in which we appreciated. The bed is very comfy ( on a firmer side). The shower pressure is strong.
One nice stop
It is a very lovely hotel. Very clean and tidy. Staff are vwry friendly.
Excellent property, very quiet despite being located in the heart of the city. Will definitely be staying here again!
Would stay again!
Nice warm welcome from the staff members we encountered. Reception area was immaculate and cool design. Location is 3 min walk to iconic Covent Garden Room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Didn’t eat at the restaurant, Just stayed one night and there’s too many places you want to cram in to experience in London!
Nice location , nice hotel, friendly staff
Welcoming hotel with everything we need. Will definitely be back.
The experience was very good. However, when we checked in, we were told there were complimentary items in the mini fridge for us as well as a card in the room indicating a few additional complimentary items. There was milk only in the fridge and teabags and cookies ( items listed on the card) were missing.
The location of this hotel is excellent for activities in the Covent Garden area. We had a basic room which was nicely furnished and quite spacious given that it was the cheapest option.
Very nice stay and great location
Convenient for Covent shopping
Last minute stay with our daughter. Hotel is well situated to hit the shops and shows. Our executive room was generously sized and easily able to accommodate a roll away bed. King size bed was extremely comfortable. Good service. Minor downsides were broken bathroom door lock and constantly on AC
Great staff, lovely room and convenient for Covent Garden
Excellent service great staff beautiful hotel
3rd stay here. Always great.
The check-in was smooth and the complimentary glass of sparkling wine was a nice touch. However, the AC in our room didn’t work and clearly wasn’t checked beforehand as the room was extremely hot. The front desk didn’t answer the phone until our fourth call. Maintenance wasn’t able to fix the issue and so we were moved (and upgraded) to a slightly larger room on a higher floor which was appreciated. That said, we were disappointed by the quality of the amenities and service. The television was not a SmartTV and had very few channels. The concierge was (depending on who was there) either knowledgeable about area restaurants or flat out unfriendly. We had to request our room be serviced several times on one of the days despite it being late afternoon. On the plus side, the shower was terrific and the bed was quite comfortable. Overall, though, we don’t think the service or amenities support the hotel’s five star rating or the price.
Disappointing visit
We were on the first floor and I think there is a nightclub beside the building and you could hear the bass thumping until 1am which was frustrating. It would have been good if the bar had stayed open until the advertised time (as it would have reduced the time we had to listen to the thumping music) but we were told when we returned from our event just after 11 that it was closed even though it was advertised as serving until 11:30 and closing at 12. There are fancy glasses in the room for drinks but only a bottle of Diet Coke and milk in the mini bar. There are usually baked treats in a little glass dome in the room but we didn’t have any. I have stayed here several times and had a much better experience but did not enjoy this stay.
Only got to stay one night but I enjoyed my brief stay. Hotel was very close to the tube and in a central location near many restaurants and pubs.
Professional and courteous

Would definitely stay again
Excellent experience from check in to check out. Room was maintained to a high standard. Superbly placed for nearby theatres and Covent Garden.
