This was my second time staying at this hotel. As previous, the staff was great. Cant beat the hotel location, literally seconds away from the main areas. Lots to do around.
The front staffs were super kind
Great but breakfast poor
I reserved the single economy room. I was traveling alone so wasn’t concerned with “stairway only” access, nor the bed that is smaller than a standard twin. It’s an old building but everything works and is super convenient for walking to all the city center sites with Duomo only a few steps away. The staff are all very helpful in every way. The breakfast was satisfying and plentiful so saved some money on that meal. I stayed 4 nights and the cost savings was amazing. If I had not been alone I would not have reserved the single economy and even considered asking for an upgrade but I spent most of my waking hours seeing the city, so opted to stick it out. I should have brought a longer charging cable and multiple 110-220 plug adapters. There were only two plugs and both were. Too far to have my phone at my bedside and charging while I slept. The room did not face the street so had a pretty quiet night for sleep. The loss of any view was compensated by that fact of a good nights sleep.
Close to everything and easily walkable. Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room.
Our room was not very good. The toilet didn't flush properly. We had to open the toilet tank every time we wanted to flush. The radiator in the bathroom was overheating the entire room, so we had to open the windows to cool down the room, but then mosquitos got into our room and their buzzing kept us up at night. The location is very good, just a few minutes from the cathedral, but this means it is very noisy at night with so much street activity.
Breakfast was very good. Hotel and room were clean. Good price for this hotel. Location is perfect.
I recently stayed at the Maxim Axial Hotel and found the hotel itself to be quite good, with comfortable accommodations and a great location. However, an unfortunate incident involving a staff member significantly tarnished our experience. During our stay, while waiting for the elevator, I encountered inappropriate behavior from a female staff member with short black hair. She tugged on my shirt despite me being a distance away from the elevator door and also slapped my mother's hand away while she was selecting the floor. This unprofessional behaviour was both distressing and surprising, particularly in a hospitality setting. I raised this issue with the hotel management but five days later, I have yet to receive a response. It’s disappointing that such a serious matter hasn’t been addressed, as I believe every guest deserves a respectful environment. Overall, while the hotel itself met our expectations, the lack of communication and the incident with staff overshadowed our stay. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to enhance the guest experience in the future.
Interesting hotel ( reception on 3rd floor) rooms below. Breakfast ok without being spectacular. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for the sights. Our room was fine, but by the street on 1st floor and was very noisy.
Great property. Spacious room with air conditioning. The staff were simply amazing at breakfast each morning. Just a note that the elevator is reached only after climbing a dozen stairs. A struggle for those with mobility issues.
Verrrry small room, lift not working on arrival had to carry luggage four floors up. Bathroom was good but again verrry small. Breakfast room not enticing, needs a remodel, however location is excellent.
The property was very noisy, garbage collection kept us up and woke us up multiple times each night.
It's too far from the grocery stores where you can buy a cup of tea or coffee. The room service doesn’t provide it. You can have a cup of coffee or tea only at breakfast time.
It was great!!
great location !
Great location.
Nice hotel in a great location. Looking a bit tired but still ok. Breakfast room was basic but had all the basics you need. However the woman running it was pretty unfriendly and snappy!
Friendly staftt
Location!
We stayed here for 2 nights, we arrived too early and our room was not ready so we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and explored Florence. Location is great as it is one block from the Cathedral and in the same building of the LEGO Store. There are stores, restaurants and museums near by all of them within walking distance. Our room was clean, tidy and well maintained, bathroom was narrow for American standards, but we didn’t have any problems. Staff was supper friendly and helpful during our stay. We were provided with vouchers to a near by roof bar to appreciate Florence’s sky line.
Brilliant location, very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in the economy room but facilities were more rham ample and for a good price. Really recommend!
The hotel is very good.
Fantastic location and very lovely staff! It was a nice breakfast with good variety, and comfortable clean rooms (although the air conditioning did struggle to keep up with the heat).
Convenient to shopping, dining, and historical sights. Rooms are small, and ours smelled of mildew. Our air conditioner wasn’t working when we arrived but they fixed it quickly.
You walk out the front door and you are right in the heart of Florence.
Excellent location. Very kind & helpful staff
The only thing good about it is the location. Do not recommend otherwise. The room was so small for a family of four and the towels smelled. We believe there is a bug problem. By the second night we could no longer handle it. Our son was not sleeping and had bug bites on his body. We reported it in the morning and they offered to refund us for the third night so we agreed to checkout prior to check out time. Well the refund never came and they won’t respond to any of my messages.
It was what you would expect from an old building. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. Close to all major attractions.
Excellent location, otherwise average
I was skeptical at first because of some negative reviews. Yes the building is old. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and ONLY that floor has elevator access. Any other floors requires you to bring the luggages via stairs. So please book only for a unit that has elevator access no walk up The room was large and clean and the bathroom was huge and modern. It wasn’t at all what I expected. The staff upfront is very accommodating and helpful I stayed in 325 nearest to the front desk and highly recommend that room if traveling with family of 4. Great location, that’s a no brainer. Walk out and everything is there and safe area. Still took a taxi to the train station which just saved me time to rolling luggages even if it’s just 12-15 minutes walk. I would stay here again should I come visit Florence again.
Great location
Great location right next to the church. Easy to walk around.
In the heart of town. Wonderful friendly employees.
This place is in a perfect spot!! Its close to all the major attractions and only a 10 minute walk from the train! Surrounded by shopping as well! The staff is knowlegable and helpful and the room, while not huge, was clean, comfortable and just what we needed!! We will certainly stay here again when we return!
Our biggest complaint was the stark bathroom in the room. It was like you were in someone’s basement. The shower stall was merely a curtain, pulled around the same flat concrete floor. The breakfast was fine. The room was fine. The staff and service was excellent and the absolute best reason why I would go over there again is the location. You can run and use the bathroom in the hotel anytime during the day because you were right near Duomo, and shopping. You can keep your luggage there until you need to leave no cost.
Great location. Very, very dated property
The place is in the heart of shopping heaven, its next to lego store and restaurants, close to everything, i feel safe walking even late at night. Its very quite even though its close to all the shops and restaurants, we had a good night sleep. Free breakfast was a nice touch, enough food to start your day.
5 star for its location and then down hill from there. Very dated property with even more dated bathrooms. Not worth the money
It was my second stay at this hotel and I believe it is a great choice for those who want to see the city and learn about the history of Florence. If you are travelling for shopping or for luxurious stay, go any where else.
Good Location
The hotel was conveniently closed to Duomo.
CLOSE TO SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS,,DONT DRIVE THERE !
The maxim axial hotel was great for us in Florence. Very convenient location, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast
Staff could be more polite. We were a family of 6 tired from a train trip from verona. The staff asked us to be "calm" and wait after every single question.
The best location in Florence.
Great stay
We had a great stay. The hotel is in a great location to visit Florence. We found it very easy to walk everywhere. The room was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned every day during our stay. The room was spacious and had a lot of storage which was great. The staff were very friendly. Only negative is there wasn’t much choice at breakfast, would have been nice to see some fruit available. But the access to restaurants near by made up for it.
Thiss property was lovely and well maintained with a comfortable bed and room.
Love the location and friendlystaff
Very helpful reception staff
I had a problem in that my phone wpuld.not charge through the UK adaptor I had. My flight boarding passes and train tickets were all on the phone so I was urgently needing to charge it. A lovely lady on Reception came to my rescue and offered me a local charger to use for the duration of my stay. It might not sound a massive deal but i really appreciated it so could then relax and enjoy Florence to the full.
洒店各方面都非常理想。
Wonderful service. Absolutely perfect location if you want to be in centre of Florence and good breakfast!
Perfect location! The most amazing nice staff! The hotel could use a refurbishment , but otherwise a good price-quality balance for a hotel on the most perfect location!
The location is in the heart of Florence and walkable to many key venues. Lots of great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Surrounding activities in the neighborhood can be a bit noisy in the evening.
Great location
Great hotel! Such a good location, so close to the Duomo and in the hub of the shopping strip! Great selection for breakfast.
The location of the hotel was very convenient and safe. My room was spacious and comfortable and staff were lovely.
Excellent location. Right on the center of town. Walkable to everywhere. Amazing breakfast. Enjoyed every bit of our trip. Front desk very very helpful. Highly Recommend.
Hotel was in a good location.
The biggest problem and definitely the reason I won’t stay here again is the 10:00am checkout time which is totally ridiculous. Every hotel I have stayed in over 40 years of travel had a checkout time of 12:00pm and sometimes even 1:00pm. And there was no flexibility in checking out later. The other reason is that the beds require an update as they seemed to have mattresses that dated back at least more than 20 years and definitely not comfortable at all. But the location was fantastic as it was close to all the great attractions of Florence. Just a little more attention to what I said here and I would have highly recommended the hotel
It has a super close location to the Doumo and historic Florence, but amazingly quiet and super charming. Marvelous staff.
Great location. One way on street to Duomo and other end to Medici palace. No laundry facilities but laundromat close and. reasonable. Breakfast was adequate and good cappuccino. Easy walking to ponte vecchio and other churches/ restaurants. Reception staff very helpful.
Great location and staff friendliness and hospitality
close to duomo
Not bad stay here
We were given the wrong room and asked to change the very next day morning. Maybe that was the reason there was a lady knocked our door hardly in the morning. We were in a rush to catch museum schedule, it was the only thing. Other than that, everything is good.
Excellent location
The hotel is at a very good location, very central, the Dome is less than a minute away. It is actually the third floor of a building. The receptionists are friendly, however, due to lack of communication among themselves they made our check out a miserable experience. Breakfast is generous, but the breakfast area is way too small, only a few tables for two, and you are given out when taking a bigger table. Could use more staff. The location compensates for the small inconveniences, thus I highly recommend to stay in this hotel.
Sabrina the receptionist was excellent! She was very helpful and very accomodating. The property was very clean, comfy and most of all close to everything. I will definitely book again with this hotel when I go back to Florence!
Great location, easy walking distance from many places
Tres cher paraport pour la qualite ,la douche cassee ,la femme de cafeterua nerveuse et mechante
Great staff, good location.
Bathroom rusty.
Florence family trip
Location could not be better, you are in the middle of all, we walked to all the major sites. Room was very comfortable, perfect for a family trip, the AC was not the greatest but there were record high temperatures this summer. Breakfast buffet was very well stack, cappuccino was great! Staff was very kind and attentive, my daughter left her aligners on the breakfast table and they returned them to our room, truly appreciated their care and thoughtfulness. Had a great time!
Central for ALL sites to explore in Florence and walking distance from the train. But it was the staff who made our stay so wonderful, especially Sabrina at the front desk. She always remembered us, offered helpful information, and GENUINELY cared about us & our stay. Will DEFINITELY stay here again!
We love Florence ... Firenze, Italia, where my family & I have regularly visited. Hotel Maxim Axial is our all-time favorite hotel there. We believe Hotel Maxim Axial surpasses others in terms of its g-r-e-a-t location and its lovely rooms, ranging from comfortably homey to comfortable & lush, as well as the hotel's welcoming owners and stellar multi-lingual staff who also make you feel at home and readily help with museum reservations, etc. etc. The hotel also makes a daily self-serve breakfast available, to enable visitors to readily get an early start on the day and all there is to see & savor in such a beautiful city with Renaissance art and architecture and monuments and great food! We highly recommend Hotel Maxim Axial to anyone planning a visit to Firenze. We already look forward to our next stay there! -- With Aloha from Hawaii, E.A.
Dated hotel, stair access
Great location, dated property. Perfect for a quick stay.
Location is excellent! I only stood 1 night but my room was on the 4th floor so I could take a elevator to the 3rd but had to lug mine and kid’s luggage up 2 big flights of stairs it was terrible also room was very old clean but old and the AC did not really work! Also not 1 English Channel on tv
What a wonderfully peaceful and quaint property! The agriturismo is surrounded by picturesque Tuscan countryside and fields of grape vines and olive trees, removed from the bustle of Florence but still close to major sights, although you do need a car. We easily took day trips to Vinci, Pisa, and the west coast near Livorno and enjoyed the sights along the way. The staff were very friendly and the on-site restaurant had the most delicious food, in fact the best we had during our time in Italy! My advice for travelers is to spring for the extra 10 euro/night for air conditioning if you travel in hot weather. The air cools down at night, but the mosquitos and midges are vicious so closing windows is a must. Prices were good, too, for both the stay and the restaurant. The breakfast is great for 7 euro, and dinners for three people including wine and desert were less than 75 euro each night.
Very close to Duomo, Uffizi - helped us make the most of the short time we were in Florence. Great location.
It was the perfect place to stay. Center of all the places I wanted. Hotel and staff could not have been nicer
This hotel is in the perfect location in Florence! We could walk to all of the places we wanted to see! It was a quaint boutique hotel!
Very clean nice beds great location almost in front of el domo
So close to the Doumo and within easy walking distance from the main train station Ponte Vecchio and Accademia Gallery. Lovely breakfast, little cosy seating areas, small garden sitting area and stunning artworks on the walls. Our room was large and very comfortable. Appreciated the carafe of water and the free bottle of sparkling wine. Delicious!. Apparently there was a problem with our air conditioning unit and we were asked to leave our room for around 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the engineer encountered many problems and we had to wait even longer to return to our room. The hotel staff were very apologetic and asked us to visit their sister Hotel Villani to enjoy their rooftop terrace and a drink on them. It was a superb view and a pleasant experience.
Disappointing
First of all our maps didn't get us right to the hotel. There are very crowded pedestrian streets that we didn't know we could drive on. Very hard to find, very loud and right in the downtown area by the Duomo. Breakfast was worst we've had so far.
It was okay....
Everything was just okay. The front desk staff are respectful but not exactly friendly or helpful. The breakfast was not very appetizing, would recommend grabbing food somewhere else. The room wasn't very clean and had an odd smell to it. I'd probably place this more as a two star hotel....
The front desk was so very helpful and accommodating for our entire nine night stay. Sabrina was so amazing throughout our stay and made us feel so very welcome!!
Very helpful with everything.
Excellent location and staff. Clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.
close to the old section of the city
Friendly staff, excellent location
The location is really good. Our room was very warm our entire stay. The staff was not really friendly or helpful. Our bathroom did not have a shower curtain, which we requested several times during our stay, but never was installed.
The property location was off the charts. You are a block from the Duomo and couldn't be more centrally located. Everything was a 7-8 minute walk away. The property was clean, the staff was wonderful and we would go back in a heartbeat!
Handy location for all major attractions. But it is on a major street with people out at all hours of the night. Rooms very basic. The check in is on floor 3. Elevator holds 2 people and 2-3 suitcases. No one is at the front desk from (I believe) 11pm to 7am. They were able to reserve a taxi for us for a 4:30am pickup right outside the front door. That was very much appreciated!!
Excellent central location
Excellent, very central location above shops on main pedestrian street between Duomo and Palazzo Uffizi. My room was great, with smart decor, good AC and new bathroom. Welcoming reception staff. Breakfast buffet included (busy in a small room). Lots of different rooms types, I think mine was recently updated. There are a couple of steps in and out if the lift.
Excellent location. The rooms are comfortable and with good air conditioning. The bathrooms a bit small.
The staff was helpful , the room was clean, the breakfast buffet was good.
the location is very convenient, and the staff are very friendly
Fabulous location
Great location with so many places to see within walking distance. Bedroom was comfortable and clean however no tea making facilities. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic and if I can give you one tip - if you are going to breakfast and there is only two of you then DO NOT sit at a table for four or you will be told off by the very efficient lady there!
Awesome location five minutes or less from main attractions, restaurants and top shopping. Our first room was missing the AC remote so the manager put us into an upgraded room which was great. Very good service and excellent breakfast including hot and cold foods. Really enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend.
Perfect little gem in Florence with an EXCELLENT location
Location, location, location.
Interesting place located on a fairly busy street, with shopping, restaurants, gelato, etc. within a short walk. Very friendly and helpful staff. church bells are a plus!
They put in the fourth floor and there’s no elevator to the fourth floor, since I had 3 big luggages was very hard and very disappointed they should be VERY CLEAR about that.
