Great
Recommend to stay here.
It felt very special staying so close to the South Rim, particularly good not having to queue to get into the park each day. It was an easy walk to the Rim Trail from the lodge. There is charging available for e vehicles and hybrids. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar at the lodge on 2 nights. Great bar staff and a fun quiz one night. The room we had is of a good size and we ate breakfast in each morning.
Clean and comfortable
The hotel rooms were recently renovated and the room was spotless. The staff were very accommodating when we needed to change the assigned rooms to get our group closer together.
The hotel was good and the rooms were clean. The only issue was the TV in the room did not work due to no signal. The food court and pizza restaurant were good.
Its proximity to a lot of the points of interest.
We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and kitchenette. It was a comfortable room with heat and AC. Parking is easy and it is a short walk to the rim and Bright Angel Lodge.
I loved the location & cleanliness.
It was a nice property, very clean and quiet.
You have got to do something about the food quality in the cafeteria. We have been coming for years and this was the worst ever.
This truly is lodging only, as far as I'm concerned. If you're not interested in a culinary experience and you're literally only in need of a place to sleep while visiting Grand Canyon on a budget, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a nice hotel with restaurant options... steer clear. This is lodging with a cafeteria and nothing more. I guess I didn't understand that going in. If I had, I would have paid (a lot) more to stay at El Tovar or Angel Bright. That said, staying anywhere in this general area (inside the park or not), the scenery will be beautiful, but the food.... not so much.
A bit dated, shower curtain was filthy, toilet paper disintegrates if you look at it. Connecting doors allow excess noise from adjoining room. Decent location, signage for checkin needs improvement as there are many separate buildings. Woman at check in was very efficient but indicated no problem as sign was in front of lodge. Problem was that sign on road had you turning prior to lodge sign, and no directions from there, other than to unrelated Kennel.
The kitchenette was very nice. Everything was very new and in good condition. Only complaint was lack of a cart to haul luggage.
It was a wonderful stay! Beautiful place!
Front desk and management were amazing. Will return here on next trip!
Great hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. Walkable to the Village and Bright Angel Trailhead. Will definitely stay here again.
Did not like the food in the restaurant. It was cold and bland.
This is a solid hotel for the Grand Canyon region. It isn’t as fancy as other options but is really comfortable and easy to access. Food options in the area are really tough and unhealthy but the kitchenette was enough for us to make waffles for our son and small meals for us. Overall it was a great value for us!
Very clean and modern. Good value.
We absolutely love our kitchenette in the Burrow Building
The hotel is very old and we had people above us with kids and they were extremely loud . Walking , stomping until late at night and started very early in the morning doing the same thing . The walls are very thin you can hear people showering or going to the bathroom. This hotel needs a very a serious renovation. The food court is a complete disaster the food quality is poor and if you have any food restrictions you gonna have a very hard time to eat here . We still don’t feel good from the food we ate there . Didn’t have a good experience here
Comfortable place to unwind/relax in the lobby or meet friends for a drink would have been nice, but our room was the only option other than sitting at a table in the food court. The process of ordering breakfast and then having to stand there while it’s being made was slow and awkward, resulting in having to stand at the counter area for a good 15-20 minutes waiting to take my plate to the cashier before I could sit down. The breakfast itself was very good though and reasonably priced, as was the pizza in the pizza pub.
Elk
The front desk was excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable. Nice hotel and great location. Options for food not great. The restaurant/cafe understaff the only employee did everything they could.
Chelsey and Corbin we're awesome
My rating is simple, would I stay there again? My answer to this property is YES.
Absolutely no complaints. Quaint motel situated amoungst the trees. Quiet setting. Food and service were great in the motel’s pizza restaurant. Steps from the Grand Canyon.
I love staying here and in the Grand Canyon. Short walk to the rim and shuttles. The kitchenette was amazing and I love the renovation to the south side. It was beautiful.
The bed sheets were very scratchy and seemed like they were dirty. The hot water for the shower would barely become luke warm even when turned to maximum heat.
Wonderful experience
Check in attendant was excellent.
The place is clean and has both AC and heating working well. The staffs friendly, shower pressure low and front lighting is deem make hard to see house number. Food court had good meals, souvenirs shops Beside guests service. In general I rate the place 4 stars out of 5.
Spectacular
A lovely place to stayvright in the park.
Great location and view
Only ok.
The room was ok. No maid service unless you requested it. Our only issue was the food. Which was just dreadful. Cold pizza which we sent back and we walked out in the end. The food in the whole village seemed very basic.
Noce Lodge
We scheduled to stay one night at the last minute. It's a very pleasant place with nice rooms in separate buildings and pleasant surroundings and atmosphere
Clean and comfortable rooms. It took a while for our room to be ready, but there is plenty to do while you wait. Other than that, check in was quick and easy. I would recommend this property. The only negative thing was the pizza at the in-house restaurant. I have always said that I have never met a pizza that I didn't like. Well, I met one here.
We liked the dark nights and view of trees from our balcony.
We had a great stay! It was nice being inside the park. The sky was amazing at sunset! I woke up in the middle of the night excited to be here and went for a drive to check out the night sky, came back to grab a bite of leftover pizza, then headed out again to catch the sunrise. For me, I like to take photos and staying over night allowed us to make the trek from Las Vegas and catch both of the twilight times where you might catch something special rather than the full on sun you get in the day. Our sunrise surprise was catching a cloud rolling over the rim of the canyon and billowing/framing some of the outlooks with mist. Truly spectacular! Everyone at the lodge was friendly and accommodating. If we come back to the canyon again, we would consider staying here again.
The Lodge was a terrific way to stay inside the park without spending LOTS of money. Some reviews mention the bed and pillows, our beds were just right and the pillows are super big (so I brought my own). The cafeteria dining area was large and had plenty of options. Would definitely stay here again.
Technically indoors. Keys didn’t work. No hot water. Second room had significant mold. “Restaurant” was mostly prepackaged gas station food. Staff very curt. If you want an enjoyable stay in the park I highly recommend staying somewhere else.
Kind staff Convenient, having small shop and dining. You can take a shuttle bus in front of the front desk..
The bus system for the Grand Canyon was great . The hotel was great
Cost fairly low when I went, very clean, parking spots right outside the room, walkable right to a few good trails and the bus can take you to others.
Then views are amazing!
We were upgraded at the desk to a kitchenette room in the renovated section of the property. Sparkling clean, friendly reception, and a great stay
Beautiful area and very friendly staff.
Everything we needed and every place we went was within the park limits so we only had to enter once. The Grand Canyon was amazing and there was very little traffic in February and the weather was nice (60)
We had a King with kitchens. Very nice accommodations! Food was so-so.
Friendly staff, easy parking, spacious room. Bed isn’t the most comfortable and the shower head could use an upgrade. Overall a nice place to stay.
Highly Recommended
Great stay! It was out of the hotels control, but the folks above us were so noisy the first night made it hard to rest. Otherwise great stay!! Very comfortable beds and wonderful shower and very conveniently located!
We stayed in adjoining rooms. The lodge had everything we needed in terms of eating and gift shopping. It was also very central to the beautiful views.
Rooms are clean and area is nice and quiet
Super friendly employees, comfortable room and very convenient access to the canyon.
Pretty Good!
The ability to walk or drive around the park without having to get through the main park entrance daily was wonderful. Maswik Lodge was located near some of the most beautiful observation posts in the park! The staff at the lodge were very friendly and willing to help. The food in the lodge was reasonable in price and quality, but the menu did not change from day to day. The latter point was motivation to eat out of the lodge periodically.
My family and I enjoy the place and the facilities …so much fun for the ones who like nature and hikes
Beautiful Grand Canyon ❤️
Number 1 was beds were so uncomfortable. Hard! The choice for rollaway was great $20 a night. Very small room, walls very thin i heard child crying several times while trying to sleep. Upstair walkers and runners very easy to hear. Do your grocery shopping before you enter park, very expensive market. The restaurants are priced like California market price. Beautiful, beautiful park! When i return i will not return to Maswik lodge i am exhausted from lack of sleep. I will try another lodge or stay in Tyusan outside of park.
Great place to stay inside the park. Staff was super helpful.
We really liked that it was a 5 minute walk to the Grand Canyon look out on the South Rim. Great walking trails and look out points. Clean, great location, nice lodge with food court and pub/restaurant.
Clean nice property
We stayed in one of the newer updated lodges and they were very nice. The property is within walking distance to the Canyon and several restaurants in the park. The food court was very convenient.
Loved the location!
Very well kept, clean and friendly staff
Not a review but a suggestion. Som discreet, low level lighting around the pathways would reduce the risk of an elderly personal injury lawyer taking a fall and taking the hotel to the cleaners.
Spacious room and cozy heating! Easy access to most of the rim trails and shuttle. Welcoming and helpful staff! The EV charging facility in the parking lot!! We had an amazing stay at Maswik.
Don’t stay here if a good night sleep is important to you! Scratchy sheets, hard as rock bed and pillows are super thick and they are all the same so you couldn’t pick the best one that works for you needs. Shower also only got warm. Don’t plan on a hot shower.
I would have given it a higher rating but The bed was the most uncomfortable ever, horrible thick pillows and scratchy sheets. Not one person in our party got more than 2 hours sleep. Also, The toilet chain had to be repaired twice in one night. The facility was great but comfort is way more important!!!
Our room was newly renovated. Construction occurring in our building and around the property. Perfect location close to the canyon.
Live this place!
Staying in the Grand Canyon is amazing
All was pretty great, unfortunately our fridge didn't work even after staff came to check and that heater was right by the bed and loud.
It’s the grand canyon
You must’ve been here in the off-season. They were doing a lot of construction on some of the other units which is understandable, upgrades do need to be done. The rooms were a little bit dated but the beds and the pillows were soft and uncomfortable. The lighting in the rooms could use an update. The food of the food court was good and reasonably priced. Walls seem to be a little thin you could hear a noise from the other occupants all night.
Comfy beds, great location, food court was convenient
Great room, Meh food.
The property was great. It's newer. The food is more for families and not great (when i went) but the other nearby park properties have different and better restaurants.
A special THANK YOU to Olivia and Nora for finding a very valuable item of mine and keeping it safe until I could claim it. I appreciate you both. You are the very BEST!
wifi didn’t work at all only sad part
Clean and comfortable
Great location with everything we needed. The food options around were simple and not expensive. I’m so glad we stayed inside the National Park. Would highly recommend.
It was amazing...me and my family enjoyed the stay in this beautiful place...
Close to the Grand Canyon
The room was older but met our needs. Heater was hotter on one side of room. Wish there was a microwave available.
Room was nice and looks like it has been updated. Easy to get to food court which had a nice range of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices.
Loved the fact that is at walkable distance from the beautiful canyon
Na
Property was in good position in park, Rooms were good size and nice to hav3 balcony
Lodge like amenities but very basic
We arrive on the Christmas Day and glad that the restaurants there still opened. Great stay there.
I stayed 5 nights and never saw housekeeping, I could have used more coffee, but otherwise didn't miss it. I moved the occasional table, and the carpet was quite untidy beneath where it was. The light under the ceiling fan would unpredictably go on and off. Quiet!
We greatly enjoyed being right at the Canyon. It wasn't far to drive to the south rim or walk to certain conveniences. Excellent stay and met our needs!
Better than expected. The room was comfortable, great shower, and with a beautiful forest view. Excellent food.
Within a few minutes walking distance to the canyon rim with amazing views, some hiking options and also multiple dining facilities. Very clear and spacious. Good parking options at lodge. Short drive to multiple locations on south rim. ideal location.
Stayed for two nights. The location was fantastic, and the staff were friendly. However, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the linens were old and pilled. I requested fresh linens, but unfortunately, they were just as worn out. The hard beds and poor sleep quality really impacted my family’s stay, so I’m giving it three stars primarily because of this issue.
Not worth the cost to stay inside the canyon village. Stay outside and use route 64 and stop at every scenic view point which is gorgeous.
Horrible hotel, dark, dusty, depressing. My kids were recovering from a cold and then we stayed here, the dust triggered their allergies and they got worse! The 2 queen rooms were soooo small and so dark it was so depressing. There was no microwave and i have to walk outside 10 mins in the dark to the food place and back. It was $950 for 2 nights! It was close to the rim but that was it!
Just a beautiful clean quiet hotel with a 5 minute walk to the Grand Canyon.
Save yourself and find some better place in area
Rooms not very clean, no microwave in room or anywhere in lodge. I wouldn't recommend this lodge to anyone. Smells bad and old and not maintained at all.
Beautiful and remodeled
Great location, safe amenities, walkable, ranger station practically close, good transportation, great dinner with great staff. I would defer recomend to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon area and plans to stay the night. This is the place

We had a nice time at the Maswik Lodge. The room was clean, spacious and very quiet. Enjoyed eating at the Pizza Pub and the food court. The shuttle services are very convenient and they pick you up and drop you off right in front of the lodge. Plenty of parking spaces available and the staff were very attentive and provided any extra items we requested for the room on a timely manner. Will definitely stay there again.
