Linh is a fantastic host. The room was clean and comfortable, hot shower, fridge, kettle. Be warned the area is very noisy late into the night
Awesome location. Its on a noisy party street what i like. If u don't like music and stairs don't stay here. No elevator.
Clean room & washroom Complimentary breakfast
Great location, staff, cleanliness. Great Hostel
Probably the best hostel I have every stayed at. We stayed 5 days without any issues. My wife and I had a private room with private bath (asian shower, western toilet). Good Wifi. (seperate wifi for each floor) Super clean in the room and throughout the hostel. Bed was Asian Firm (hard) and pretty big. I like softer but that is a preference. I really enjoyed the breakfast as a Vegan, but all diets had options. Good prices for water, drinks, snacks and beer (very close to the prices at the connivence stores and drinks were always cold) . Location was 20 meters from the walking street (party area), but somehow, tucked in the ally, it was really quite at the hostel. Lily and staff are so nice and helpful. Highly recommended!
Tucked away and quiet!
VERY QUIET!!! Orginally I was afraid Bc I pulled up and it was full on weekend party mode on the Main Street- loud music and bats. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. Staff was so friendly and nice and helpful and the breakfast was great!
very nice hostel near bars
The property was very clean. It was obviously newly renovated, new paint, new walls, new floors. Staff were nice. Breakfast was ok. wifi was fine. The employee took me to the bus stop on her motorbike.
I'd stay again
pretty good, close to the walking street but down an ally so quiet.
Nice Hotel, Can be a little noisy
This hostel is located just off what they call the walking street. So the location is really nice, and it is only about 10-minute walk to most of the HCMC central sites. The hostel was very clean, and the staff was really helpful. I think the only minor downside is that it can be a little noisy even though you are off the main drag. It wasn't a major issue though.
Very nice stay for a good price. Clean. Helpful front desk. Good location.
Very small and comjusted
Great Hostel
While at Lily's I stayed in a private room and a nine person dorm; both settings were clean and comfortable. The staff was great!
Great Staff
Great, friendly hotel down quietish alley way off the backpacker main drag. We are in the 40-50 age bracket, and if we came back to HCMC probably wouldn't stay in this area again. Very loud, busy, touristy and currently most of the pavements are being dug up. But this is no reflection on our stay at Lily's. the staff were so lovely and kind, the breakfast was great and our room very clean. Beware the staircase is a bit tricky though - steep and twisty! Would recommend.
Functional budget accommodation
Hostel has minimalistic decor and is conveniently located in a quiet street off the backpacker area. But it feels relatively old and not as comfortable as some of the similarly priced hotels in the area. Lighting is pretty dim.
Great central backpacker stay!
We stayed in Bed Station, just across from Lily's with same owner. It was newly remodeled and our room was a loft and large like King bed on lower level. It was perfect for my granddaughter and I, giving us each a little privacy, good shower, though small bathroom/efficient. Great for meeting 20yearolds travelers/fit her well! Staff on the spot/airport transfer effortless and inexpensive, good breakfast! Big plus was quiet alley and great restaurants nearby
staying here had me in tears. AVOID THIS ONE!!!
Please do not stay here. After a 36 hour train ride I was looking forward to our private room we booked here. When we arrived they notified us that they cancelled our booking and did not have a private room available for us anymore. The front desk agent offered to put us next door in their corresponding hostel dorm. there was a miscommunication that we wouldn't have to pay for the night (our understanding) and that they would move us to the private room the next day. Exhausted, we agreed. The next day to our surprise they were asking us to pay for the dorm. After arguing for a little we asked to speak to the manager or owner. She refused to talk to us. To make matters worse, the front desk agent was going to have to pay for our room if we didn't. Long story short, we ended paying for the room (the front desk agent Told us he would slowly send us our money back when he could afford to which we promptly denied... the owner should be out of pocket not this poor man). Slightly annoyed by the situation we went back to our room. The private room itself was dingy (the dorm was actually nicer). And no wifi! The wifi did not work at all. They also did our laundry and ruined my favourite white shirt. There were brown stains all over it. Again, the manager/owner wouldn't talk to me. I had to go hunt her down. When I found her she was rude and unapologetic. She started yelling at me in Vietnamese. I have never been treated so awful... I went back to the room and cried. Stay away!!!!
Beautiful, clean and helpful!
Staff were very helpful with bookings and recommended excellent tours. The hostel serves a tasty fresh made to order breakfast and amazingly coffee. It is a popular place so book ahead - I had to move rooms for for second night because I didn't book it ahead of time. The stairs aren't steep and narrow so be mindfulness if you have mobility issues or a giant backpack.
Great helpful staff, clean and central location! Would recommend to anyone
Lovely guesthouse in great location
This was a really great place to stay in the centre of HCMC! Location is close to all the main attractions and a very reasonable price. Family and staff that run this little guesthouse/hostel are very friendly and welcoming. The room was decorated nicely and as it was shown in pictures. Air conditioning in the room may have also saved my life. Comfortable and relaxing. Just what was needed!
Great location, clean and great staff!
I originally booked for Lily Hostel, but for some booking / room issue I ended up at the Bedstation hostel, which is a new building / extension of Lily's hostel. Location is excellent, on District 1. Rooms are clean and cozy with separate toilet and shower. Lily was very friendly and helpful, giving me tips about where to eat or booking my bus to my next destination. She makes you feel like home!
Very nice hostel very close to everything
Hostel was super clean and cute. Good shower and bathroom too. Lily was amazing. Helped us book our flights and tours and catered to eveything we needed.Cannot recommend highly enough.
Good enough if you need to save your budget
I used Cozy dorm room, It was clean and quiet to stay enough.
Lily's hotel
Great location, staff are all friendly and helpful. Perfect start to stay in Vietnam.
Nicely located at the lively Bui Vien street and yet offer peace and quiet for a good rest, with very clean and comfortable family room. Staff is friendly and helpful with booking local Mekong day tour which was perfect and at a great deal too.
Cute Hostel in the centre of the city
Lily's hostel is a quaint little hostel with a lovely family feel, friendly helpful staff, cute decor and clean and tidy. The bathrooms were quite small and beds a little on the hard side but overall a great place. Great location right in backpacker central but location down the lane meant it was quiet and peaceful. The staff ensured we were well looked after, organised airport transfers, and fabulous Meking Delta trip
Good Value
We stayed in Lily's Hostel for 3 nights in April. They picked us up at the airport ($13) and waited for us, even though our flight was delayed for over an hour in a "holding pattern" over the airport. Then, although we arrived very late at night, we were upgraded to a quad room (room 302) instead of the triple we paid for, for 2 of the 3 nights. The room was spacious and everything was clean and white. Unfortunately, in 302, there is nowhere to store or hang clothing. Our triple room, 204, however, had a large wardrobe. Breakfast was adequate, and the family was so kind to our two young sons. Wi-fi was throughout the building, but we couldn't connect to it when we moved rooms to 204 for some reason. It was a very quiet place to stay, even though it was just off Bui Vien street. We were allowed a late check-out for free and were driven back to the airport for $10. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant stay, and I cannot fault the staff, the facilities, or the location.
Hostel tucked away from the Main Street.
This hostel was ok, I was on the 2nd floor in a private room (#202) & it was unbearably hot!! The cute yellow air con didn't seem to work well (even w/the bathroom door closed). It made my stay uncomfortable, as HCMC was very hot during my few days there. The older lady that cooks the breakfast in the morning is not friendly at all. I witnessed her flip out in Vietnamese to another co-worker when one guest politely asked for condensed milk for her coffee. There's a guy from Korea that works the front desk who is awesome! He's knowledgable & has lived all over the world, listens to some great music & provided great info. on where to eat (Saigon Vegan) & what to do (Tunnel Tour). I met other friends in HCMC that paid the same or even less on the same street & had a better experience. The young kid that is there is very polite & works vsry hard. I met Lily once & she was pleasant enough. The good news-the room was clean, no bugs or mosquitos. I think if I visited Saigon again I would stay in another place.
A happy surprise
As a first-time backpacker abroad, I and my group were pleasantly surprised to find out that we shared the room with other occupants, who were very nice and even became acquaintances of ours. The rooms were homey; the food served for breakfast was okay, although the waitress/cook had a tendency to be grouchy early in the morning. Anyway, the hostel administrator facilitated the Cu Chi Tunnels tour for us, and it was all good!
Lovely
Lily's hotel is cozy and very welcoming. Lyn was very kind and always trying her best to help you and make you feel comfortable. The rooms are clean and the bunk beds are comfortable. Great location, right in the middle of the backpacker's area but away from the noise (in an alley).
Quiet hostel in busy area.
We had a great time in Ho Chi Minh. The hostel located in a busy area, but still quiet... Hotel staff was very friendly, dorms and bathroom were clean!
right in the centre of district 1
in a little allyway just off a main street in district 1, we were in walking distance of nearly everything! Room was a tad on the small side but still more than enough, beds were clean and comfy and has a good clean air con machine. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful whenever we asked for any help.
Great location near to restaurants and bars
Brilliant comfortable stay, very helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfasts and very clean room and overall hostel! Would definitely come back
Gerat hostel
A great hostel with very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location and comfortable beds.
Great staff and location!
The staff here is amazing. The guy at the front desk is possibly the nicest person you will ever meet. He booked a bus ticket for us, which we then canceled and it was a pain, but he was so nice about it. Also great location. He was very sweet about everything and doesn't get upset if you come home late and he has to wake up to answer the door. I'm not sure when he ever sleeps.
Superb! Two thumbs up! :) Great and friendly staff. :)
Great stay in a good location
Staff very helpful, clean rooms and good service. We were leaving very early the next morning and they woke up to prepare us breakfast for take away. Definitely recommend this place.
Stayed for one night in the dorm and it was great! Comfortable beds, very friendly staff, and flawless airport pickup organized by the hostel. Would recommend!
Excellent location
The staff are lovely. The hotel is clean. Air con in room is a blessing. A little hot in the common areas. Beds are hard but this is common everywhere in vietnam. The shower is hot and good water pressure. Very quiet at night so no problem sleeping. Overall we enjoyed our experience in a double private room.
Very clean hostel. Stuff were very friendly and helpful (they booked a bus to Mui Ne for us). Breakfast was good too.
Home away from home
Nice and fantastic experience. Very good location and couple of good Indian hotels. Breakfast needs to be improved. Staff was excellant and always willing to help you in how and where to go. Will definitely visit again and strongly reccommenf for traveller's.
Super close proximity to the streets and market
The hotel staffs are very friendly, super helpful and speaks really good english; something that travellers do put high importance in. We spent our time there not needing to flag a taxi as the location is very convenient to go to Ben Tahn market and Taka Square. The room is well furnished and very clean. Me and my girlfriends super love this hostel and would totally recommend it to travellers out there !!
Very home-like!
Very nice home-like place at a good location. The set back from the busy street provides more peace and quiet. The room was cleaned daily and the owners were really nice and helpful.
Certainly avoidable due to better alternatives
Felt cheated by windowless, cramped 9x7 ft. room when promised a 18sft. facility. The location was also at the end of a narrow alley. Though staff were pleasant, there were far better options at much lower prices available all around.
A haven in the busy city!
Lily's hostel was a beautiful, tranquil hostel (haven!) in the middle of crazy ho chi Minh. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Oh and the location is great! I would highly recommend this hostel :-)
Très Bien
Chambre agréable et propre, personnel très accueillant, toujours prêt à donner des conseils, très bien situé dans une petite impasse à côté de la rue principale
Nice stay, kind employees
Spent 3 nights in this hostel for my arrival in Vietnam. People working here were always super nice, kind, helpful, they really helped me having a good time in Ho Chi Minh City! Room was nice, not a lot of stuff but the necessary ones. Bathroom was nice too! Only the bed was a 80+80 and you could really feel it in the middle. But each part was OK. That's the only really bad point. Other point : it's close to the biggest "party road" of the city, so you'll hear the music of the bars and nightclubs from your room. But you can't be close to enjoyment and being in a full quiet place!
Très bon petit déjeuner. Personnel accueillant et sympathique. Par contre pas forcément facile à trouver.
旅店四週都很熱鬧,但在房間內卻不吵雜
Bra
Ligger precis bakom bargatan. Gångavstånd till marknad, museet mm. Personalen kunde bra engelska. Hjälpte till med bussbiljetter.
Very good value for the money!
We had a couple of nights at this Hostel, and can really recommend it. It’s very good value for the money, nice and clean rooms, good service and ok breakfast. No cleaning of the room the second day, but I don’t think they do it anyway. Oh, and the location is perfect for backpackers and partyanimals.

A lovely stay.
We stayed for 5 nights, and though it was near a loud street that did not bother us. We had a noisy room, but Lilh offered to swap us to a quite room on the other side free of charge. We continued with the original room because we are heavy sleepers and it did not bother us. Lilh was extremely helpful and often responded on WhatsApp within 1 minute. She even called our tour company when they were running late and offered to print our visa's. She offered to help us book buses and tours, but we had already arranged this the night before. A lovely stay
