BLACK MOLD

Room was not what the website advertised. When I got to the unit, the smell of black mold was overpowering. Found the mold on just about everything. Also was no running hot water when I went to take a shower. I was not refunded or discounted for the 2 nights I stayed.

Only bad thing, the rooms doesn't have curtains I don't know why

We could not find a parking place. No one on duty to help. Could not park until after midnight on an off site and had to move vehicle by 9 am. No cabinet handles on bathroom cabinet and the blinds were broke. Party going on until way after 2 am. Will never stay there again.

It was pleasant and helpful but they could use a better washing service for towels I went out to buy my own towels and sheets but other than that it was pleasant

First of all, there is no actual office. It is all virtual took 40 minutes to get our room! Once I got my room, they gave me a code. The door would not open. There was a hurricane the week before I arrived. One of the persons that were fixing things said that everything got flooded so maybe the door was swollen. When I got in the room, I sat on the sofa, and my pants were wet. My children have asthma and this room was not completely dried out. Also There was rust on the sofa, bed and no sheets or blankets. The bathroom had a lot of rust all over the place, except the toilet and the sink. The bed was full of humidity. It was disgusting. The pool was extremely dirty full of bugs and leaves. This was nothing like the pictures Yes, the rooms were a little bit upgraded, but overall they’re not safe to have kids around. They Told me that I can vacate the room and that they would send a refund after they send an inspector to inspect the room to see if everything I was saying was true. According to the inspector, everything was fine And everything was dry, which is a lie! They never refunded me the money after they told me to vacate the room. They’re just there to steal your money, they were not ready to open up again. It’s the worst place I have ever been to. And one of the employees said They were fixing doors and they were fixing gates when I got there cuz of the hurricane but when the inspector came in room there was nothing wrong.??? I don’t recommend it.

The code didnt work at the front door, and the walls are hollow and people were loud.

Had a lot of things to do within walking distance well lite felt safe. Parking was very close great convenience. Room was great. Customer service was available for any questions.

TERRIBLE PLACE/DOES NOT MATCH PICS

The place was very filthy and not organized. On our arrival we went to our room and contact customer service. We told them the rooms were messy and look as if someone had just check out. Then notified them I was very upset and that I wanted to cancel everything and a refund. They still charged the entire stay. Personally this is the worse experience ever!

Very small, old building, dain in sink didnt work very good, tv remote didnt work very good. Small cheap place to stay, the pool looked clean, i didnt use it. If cheap is what you want then this is a decent place. I will definitely spend a little extra next time for a room with a beach view. Live and learn.

Cannot recommend

I am not sure where are all the glowing reviews are coming from, but I cannot imagine they are coming from experienced and/or privileged travelers. I chose this location AT THE VERY last minute due to the location and because the pictures and description and reviews painted a very pretty picture. I was really inclined to use my status as a Hilton Honors member at a nearby Hilton property, but since my friends wanted to experience MYR I thought a taste of nostalgia would be nice since we’d be so close to the boardwalk anyway. and so I chose this obviously revamped property. Upon arrival, the property and room looked NOTHING like it did jn the pictures online. Even the location looked suspect. Once we reviewed the room, my friends immediately asked if we could get a refund. (We had just left a 5 star riverfront hotel in SAV that cost less per night.) The Hotels app staff was great and very empathetic; however the owners refused to honor our request. We were stuck. We ended up spending most of our time away from the room because of how uncomfortable it was—from its guests, to the fake beds, cheap linens, loud WINDOW UNITS, etc. I’ll add that upon sharing my experience, this is becoming the norm in MYR at these revamped mom & pop locations; this is sad because some of us grew up going to these locales and the original owners would’ve never cheated their customers.

The property was pretty loud, but its Myrtle Beach people were having a good time. The location was perfect. The room was clean.

The property was overall a nice place to just stay because it was a business visit for me. The air conditioner is positioned over the bed so you hear that noise all night. The room floor was very dirty and some of the white washcloths were dingy and fill with lint. I was afraid to wash with them because they were not clean white.

Very good location. Safe on side were very nice and friendly. A few updates would help the place a ton.

This was perfect for an extended weekend getaway. The room was small, however, perfect for my partner and I who were very comfortable. A five minute walk to the Skywheel and other attractions. The beach access was directly across the street (as well as a Starbucks). I would definitely stay here again, the room was a great price!

We had difficulty getting into our room as the code wasn’t working. We tried calling and texting management for close to 30 minutes before they responded. Eventually they moved us into another room. When we entered the room it was very tidy and clean. It was also spacious. We enjoyed our stay the door doesn’t have space around it allowing for noise during the night. Otherwise we would say you are getting what you pay for.

Upon arrival to the property, we walked into the room and everything was soaking wet, there was a broken outlet, and black cigarette residue dripping down the door on both the inside and outside. Our door was not aligned which meant we had to slam into it to get it open or closed. There was no second safety lock on the door, there were blood curdling screams coming from the property along with loud bangs. As advertised there is no office or staff working the property, despite the phone numbers they have on the doors the likelihood of getting ahold of anyone is very low. Our stay was Monday-Friday, Monday we took showers and realized there was no hot water. We contacted the staff Monday night and were informed maintenance were coming to check out the water Tuesday night around 7pm (had no hot water our whole trip).The rooms are opened by keypad, on Wednesday when leaving the room we realized our keypad was completely dead and we were locked out of our room. After sending a message to the office staff at 12:15pm informing them of the issue we continued our day, upon arrival back to our room around 5pm we still had not heard back from the staff and had to google translate with the cleaning staff to try to figure something out, who then gave us a physical key. I received a text at 5:57pm asking if anyone had come to assist, in this text I explained what we had to do to get it figured out and again told them we still did not have hot water, no response.

I was very disappointed but never again they people having done things in pool that wasn't inappropriate in pool and table for smoking was nasty so i want to my car drove to smoke i will never stay there again ......cleaning .....no towels was changed compact one window for ....it was joke t..very nasty place....sorry i have deleted language but not giving you and good view ....

Could not even stay here after seeing the room. it is false advertisement in the pictures and i was tricked due to some of the 5 star reviews. right before i saw the location in person, they told me to leave a 5 star rating in order to get free early check in. i thought it was odd but didnt expect anything other than what i saw online. when i got here it was so dirty and there’s no front desk to help. you have to call them over and over for hours to get any response. the room was dirty and small; there was urine outside the stairs to walk up to the rooms, took them forever to give me a code to go in the room and it wouldn’t work for the first room so they decided to give me a different room with two different codes, once i got in the room i booked a different location right away. i couldn’t stay here. the door didn’t even properly lock. my uber driver said the area is super unsafe. it was dirty, ac didn’t work. i left right away. not to mention all of the bad reviews say exactly what i experienced too. don’t be tricked by the 5 star reviews. they’re fake.

There were some damages prior to our stay and we needed to contact maintenance twice because of room errors. However located right downtown so it was easy access to the ocean and downtown! Overall, after the issues were fixed it was a nice stay!

it was very clean

Our stay was arguable less than ideal. When it came to check in the door code we were given was wrong and it took us four calls to the number provided before we were given any assistance. Despite the property being advertised as no smoking, and no loud noises after 10pm for the three days/nights we were there the only sounds you could hear at night were the other drunken patrons and the squeals of their children while both charcoal (grill), cigarette and weed smoke leaked through the door as well as the odd gunshot just off the property. On our second day my husband and I got locked out of our room for a total of an hour and a half in 96°F. It took us 6 calls to the property's advertised number, as well as having to contact expedia twice before we could get into our room. Despite calling 6 times each conversation went around in circles with a different answer from the two staff on shift. As advertised there is no front desk on property so if you can get ahold of someone then you're ok. Unlike what we expected, there is no housekeeping (if there was they never came by) so the limited towels and other linens that you get are all you get for your stay. Upsides; it's within walking distance to the beach, the air conditioning is cool AND if you're lucky, the person before you will still have their Netflix/Prime up.

They propert was great the only issue was there was always the same people at the only table and in pool all day long and never gave anypne else a chance to use them. I suggest more tables for seating. Other than that it was great.

My boyfriend and I stayed for four days and we enjoyed our time staying there. They provided enough items that were needed for two guests. It is small, but I think it’s very cute and very convenient. There are so many close by places such as restaurants and everything is a walking distance. Overall, we have definitely enjoyed our stay there and the employees are very professional and was there when we needed them.

It was ok.

The room was nice but very small . I didn’t like that everything was virtual and you had to message someone everytime something is wrong or you have a question . It was a lot of mosquitoes in our room . The amount we paid I felt it should’ve been a little better.

The property was well maintained but with no one on site. Guests can do what they please. And it was noisy all night and no one to say anything about it. I had an awful stay. Other guests took over the pool. Ignorant to other guests no respect for anyone. Horrible experience here. Will never return

Not like the picture at all, no couch. Terrible WiFi. Not able to get towels when needed. The deposit wasn’t made clear before reservation. There was also no fire alarm or fire extinguisher

Check in process was really convenient. My only complaint is we had neighbors out by the pool until 4am, you can hear everything from inside of your room music, conversations etc. Convenient location to walk everywhere, close to the beach and restaurants. Our room was clean and what we needed for a last minute booking.

Very quaint and basic. Nice pool area and right across the street from the beach access and boardwalk.

Budget place close to strip and beach

It was a good place to stay for two nights. We went on a holiday weekend with a child so it did not feel child friendly at all. Older “Kids” sitting along the steps so you can’t walk up, people acting Inappropriate around the pool so we couldn’t use it, A couple fighting physically and verbally outside our door until 5am. It’s loud at all times throughout the night because it is right by the strip which is why we chose it. Walk right over to the beach. All in all for a budget place to stay this place was clean and close to what we wanted to be close to. It was clean and affordable. It would be ran better if there was a worker or security there at all times!

Was on the man strip and it had a pool

Fresh reno on a air b and b style hotel. The text check in proceedure was a little weird and untradional butbit worked. Could use some weather stripping around the doors and air-conditioning unit to keep some of the noise down. Beds were decent but not connected to the wall which was weird and unsafe. Overall it was clean and a 1 minute walk to the beach so it suited our needs. I

Good

The location was great, within walking distance of the main part of the Strip. The pool looked clean although I didn't get in. The room was clean. The room did include a bed and couch, even though the room was a touch on the small side. I would rate the bed itself as average and also a touch on the small side. The water temperature was great and good pressure. I didn't have any problems sleeping, but the downside of it being a smaller property on the strip is that you will hear some of the noise. Not having to use a key to enter your room is very convenient. Overall, it was a good stay. Clean, no bugs.

Everything was great. For a small facility on the beach it was nice and cozy. They communicated very quickly.

Pros and cons

I will give you the pros and cons regarding this property. First pro the location is good, it’s walking distance from broad walk and beach. The rooms were clean and simple with a cold refrigerator. The con there is no employees on site it’s set up like an air.b.nb. We had a couple of small issues and the hotel manager was able to solve them remotely easily. Con #2 you can hear outside noise from inside the unit. Overall I would book again for a short beach trip.

Good stay

This hotel was very clean. Really the only problem I had was the smoke alarm was chirping when I arrived. I sent a text to the person that gave me the room details and she had someone come and take care of it. It ended up taking him awhile to get there, but she was even willing to put me in another room. That was good service. Very friendly staff also. Two thumbs up!

Whoever is running this needs a better manager due to the fact, not only are they texting you at all hours of the night, but they are also calling didn’t feel like a vacation since they were rude and not very attentive or helpful rooms are smaller than the photos look Rooms are dirty water and water is the worst I’ve ever had ever in my life. Something is wrong with the plumbing the toilet Takes two hours to refill water weird moldy smell in Rome a lot of bad traffic behind building my last night here there was a shoot out in the back of the building. I recommend not staying here.

If you’re looking for convenance and location to the beach and all activities this place is greatly located. Also good if you don’t mind noise levels and are traveling by yourself. Cons of this place was the walls are thin and you can hear everything along with smelling nearby smokers. It’s been remodeled it looks like but still a bit rough around the edges n some places. They do try to accommodate your stay by providing coffee and other necessities you may need.

The room was clean and simple. Bathroom was clean but super tiny, not a whole lot of surface area to unpack while getting ready. Plenty of towels were in the room. A mini fridge and microwave provided. The tv was decently sized and was a smart tv so you can sign into your apps and watch your favorite streaming apps. Door has a code to enter/unlock which is given to you via message/email when you pay the security deposit. I also wasn’t aware that the couch in the double queen room was a pull out sofa with an extra bed, so that was a nice surprise. The only trashcan was the small bathroom can. Our door was right in front of the pool gate and spring breakers were in and out of there, letting the gate slam all night long. Not sure if there are even pool hours because this was at midnight. No staff on property, which wasn’t a problem for us, but may be for other travelers. Location of the property was a little sketchy and right on the busy strip so it was noisy. Definitely not a super luxurious spot but very clean and cheap for a temporary stay! It was busy and noisy, but I didn’t feel unsafe and no one really messed with us.

Nice quaint spot

Smoke detector made a loud beep ALL night every 15-20 seconds. Removed the battery from it but did not work. No staff to contact to fix it. Other guests outside the room with a speaker until past 2am. Shower did not get hot

It appeared clean but on deeper inspection was filthy. The room smelled horrible, very musty. Mold was growing on the A/C.

Bugs and roaches everywhere in our room

Super close to boardwalk area. The pool was fairly clean, the trash can area on patio stayed over filled. The room appeared clean however smelt terrible and various bugs were in the room. Not awful but not great either.

I had so much trouble getting my code to get in my room when I finally did it didn't work. Called them and kept getting hung up on. The pool is nasty full of stuff out of the trees. I was given the wrong room. Needed 2 beds only given 1. Couldn't see the TV from bed. The air conditioner was directly over the bed so hard to sleep with it running and had to climb on the bed just to turn it on. There are no curtains only blinds. So at night the outside lights are so bright shinning in the window it's hard to rest. Customer service is horrible. There needs to be someone there at the desk to help. I got there at 7 pm and couldn't get in my room till 8:30 because they gave me a code that didn't work then they didn't want to answer the phone. I do not recommend this place. It's very expensive for nothing

the room was clean besides all the fruit flies flying around. the first night, there was lots of slamming doors and it made me jump a few times from how loud it was. the pool was clean, just a short walk across the street to the beach. the room was actually really pretty for the setting it was in. later in the night, it is pretty quiet. the communication with the staff is very good. they are quick to respond and helpful. i got to my room and the lock on the door didn't work. i called the staff to inform them of this issue and they moved me right away to another room with a working lock and they fixed the issue with the other room. i was switched in 5 minutes. i actually don't mind that there isn't a lobby to this motel. it feels free willed and almost like home with how much freedom this place has. it is literally on the boardwalk and so close to everything (ferris wheel, carnival, gift shops). i would definitely stay here again. i'm not too picky with my motels and hotels. as long as it's on the beach, i don't care. i don't have high standards so i actually really liked this motel. i also LOVE how great the fan works. could use a more powerful shower head but i definitely got my moneys worth with this place !
