Solo stay at hostel

Clean enough no one there were really travelers had a weird vibe to it

I truly enjoyed my stay. Please keep in mind there is a smoke lounge downstairs so the smell can reach in sometimes. But they were super accommodating in switching me and it didn't happen again. They were super pet friendly and I really think they do a thorough job of scrubbing down the rooms and kitchen between uses. I will be back!!!!!

Really comfortable private room, deep cleaned daily. Friendly staff, bar connected next door. Located directly on the tram lines into the city.

Wont stay again

Only stayed one night since we were visiting different towns every day. Beds were hard, blankets are thin. We choose this hotel because they had a 24 hour check in and we were arriving late. We got charged tax for kids even thou the description says the kids are free, i even mentioned to the guy who checked us in. Also the sign says they offer buffet breakfast for a fee, there was no buffet. They had cereal, cheese and mean one choice of each, bread and jam and apples and oranges. Their coffee was awful. So dont waste money on breakfast, eat at the cafe which was right around the corner.

Very close to public transport, very convenient. Staff very obliging and helped in every way. Only downside was noisy clientele after 11pm. Not much thought for others.

One of my favorite hostels ever!

Super awesome hostel. Bathrooms connected to the rooms and they are super clean!! Comfy beds, and a kitchen I can actually cook in. Loved my stay here, and the staff are all super friendly. There is also a connected lounge for cheap beers and coffee. Very social hostel, I met so many cool people here

I just loved it!

Spacious and comfortable hostel. The beds were really good, private bathroom and big luckers. Friendly staff and nice common area.

The staff were absolutely lovely and amazing. The room itself did not have outlets next to some of the beds, the toilet was hard to flush and the shower flooded the whole room after every use. The bed was a little uncomfortable. I enjoy walking so I didn’t mind the walk into the main tourist-y part of the city but others might not enjoy this (30-40 minutes). The wifi worked very well and all the staff were very accomodating.

Nice Place

Not bad at all

Not a bad experience at all. It's only 5 stops away from the center of Zagreb. Very easy reachable by tram. I booked a room enterely for me. Clean and comfy. Even though I was next to the reception, I can't complain about any noise whatsoever. So overall, good.

Really nice hostel, the vibe of the place is fun and everyone is really friendly. Food in the restaurant is great as well. My regards to Eva who checked me in!

Amazing service and nice hostel

This hostel has been one of my favourites that I've ever been to. The room was comfortable, clean, and there was a private bathroom in the room (for 6 people). There were also big lockers to lock your valuables. The atmosphere was great, with lots of places to lounge around (a hammock included) and the hostel offers to organize day trips for you too. The restaurant next door is great too, with lots of tasty and affordable food.

Everyone was nice ,had courtesy approach. I'm recommending this hostel to everyone.

Didnt spend much time in the city. Just needed a place to sleep before an early flight in AM. beds were comfy. Showers were clean. Staff was nice. Wifi was spotty.

Great Hostel Atmosphere and Staff

At a walking distance from the city center and boasting two nearby bus/tram stops and a large parking lot (which is not free except on weekends), the Funk Lounge Hostel was a great place to stay for a night. It's clean, pleasant, and full of beautiful art and common-room perks including hammocks and sofas.

The folk here are pretty awesome. I totally enjoyed my stay and would totally come back!Good travel vibe.

Cheap, decent location, great experience

We booked 6 beds in a 6-bed room, so basically we got all of us in 1 room as requested. It is very near tram station, good exchange rate counters, and a bakery. The room was nice, decent shower, but not all electric sockets in all beds. The staff was a bit mean, but she did all she could to help us.

Great two days at Zagreb

Good location. Easy to find by tram. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Clean room. Wi-fi needs to improve (poor signal at the room). I reccomend.

A bit of a walk to old town but not bad, tram am ready easy into old town

Rather disappointed

Staff member Mia is the best thing about the place. She was extremely helpful with information and advice about Zagreb and Croatia. Restaurant staff were blunt and even rude refusing to let me order a meal as they had a group arriving. The double room with ensuite was nothing like the photos or as advertised. The linen and towels were extremely old and the bathroom not clean. The curtains don't meet each other so the lights from outside are very bright. Rather disappointed:(

Clean hostel location is a bit far from centre but tram station is right outside. Around 15 to 20 minute to city centre.

Cute furniture but very basic. Beds were comfortable but the ladders to go up the bed were unsafe and not very comfortable to go up and down. AC was not powerful enough too cool our bedroom of 4. The noise from the neighbor bar was also a bit disturbing. Staff was very nice and very helpful.

Quality hostel, good for solo or family

Great combination of hostel and private rooms. Helpful staff, good food, and just a 14 min tram ride to the city, so easy to get to the action but in a more affordable location.

We had a reasonable stay at Funk Lounge. The room was small but well organised. It was very clean. There was a bit of noise at night from fellow guests, but there's not a lot you can do about that. Our only complaint would be that we were asked to move room for our last night, we didn't mind, but in the end it took all day to organise, which wasted our time. There were several supermarkets very close and a kitchen to prepare meals if you are on a strict budget, though the hostels bar and restaurant provided good food and drink at a very reasonable price.

Use of communal kitchen and fridge. There is a pay parking lot just outside of hostel.

Good clean room. Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Had good meal in their cafe. Was a good hotel for our one night stay. Close to bus station for our trip to Venice.

Excellent hostel just a bit far from down town

This hostel is located a ways from downtown and the train station so expect a 25 minute walk. The facilities are excellent for a hostel and the staff were fantastic. I got a free shot in the bar and they pointed me in the right direction to find some good local food.

A very clean & typical hostel. I had a private room which was ideal for my stay. The place is about 10 minutes by tram from the main railway station. The biggest plus about this place is the staff. The lady on reception was really friendly & helpful. Thanks.

Cheerful, prompt service and near grocery and tram

The staff at Funk Lounge Hostel is the nicest I've ever encountered (thank you, Anya, Eniss, and Maya!). For me they drew up a comprehensive walking tour of Zagreb and recommended good restaurants and museums (be sure to visit the Museum of Broken Relationships). My single room was clean and the wifi signal was strong. Lots of eateries nearby. When I return to Zagreb, I'll return to Funk Lounge Hostel.

Good for the price

hotel staff was freindly, OK its a hostel but hotels in Zagreb are few, and at this price I got the whole room. The little resturant next door was good. Cant beat the price

AMAZING

This place was so great to stay, I wish I could of planned better and stayed a few nights rather than just one! All the staff were the friendliest most helpful people! The rooms were clean and the kitchen made you feel like you are at home. This whole place has such a great vibe! Also close to a tram stop so its easy acces to where ever you need to go! The wifi was quick and everywhere and did I mention how amazing the staff were?!?!!!

The hostel is fun. They had scheduled a Backpackers Party to start at 2200 and give a complimentary shot when you arrive. The rooms were more quiet than I had expected and very clean. We had a private room with bathroom. I would stay there again. There is parking out front, where I parked and got 2 tickets, but was told to ignore the tickets since I had Germany tags not Croatian. The hostel is right on the trolley line and very close to a park with the zoo. My sons, 9 and 12, soon learned the area and system.

Superb experience the staff (Tiago) really took care as I had a heavy suitcase & he carried it up for me & made sure I had a lower bunk w’ a lower locker to fit it easily inside. Tiago is so attentive & compassionate Thankyou Tiago ✨💖✨for giving me a perfect room with a quiet & peaceful ambiance. Loved yr suggestion to visit the huge PARK just nearby which was a soul fulfilling surprise. Truly could not have asked for a better place! Will repeat. I ONLY left because they were FULL the next day🙏

Receptionist Nov1 - 11am, should

The receptionist at check-out (Nov1 11:00AM) was rude and disrespectful. She does not know how to deal and speak with guest in a proper manner. She should go on a seminar on how to deal with people, or be fired!

Inmitten einer Wohngegend ohne Außenbereich zum Sitzen. Nicht mal Kaffee morgens, Frühstück muß bezahlt werden obwohl im Buchungspreis enthalten. Nur für junge Weltenbummler zu empfehlen die ein Bett zum schlafen brauchen. Die Rezeption ist natürlich mit wechselnden Mitarbeitern besetzt, allerdings auch mit wechselnden Sprachkenntnissen. Nur Englisch oder Spanisch und mit Glück ein kleines bisschen Kroatisch.

Find somthing else

Never again at a like this hostel no clean rudeness the stall not helpfull, everywhere everything around there was not even a bed sheet at the bed. And this was for them the most logical and physical even more there was just one small towel for 4 days.

Todo muy bueno. La atención de las dueñas y el trabajo de los voluntarios hacen que la estadía sea muy amena. La cocina es un poco chica para la cantidad de huéspedes pero no es un inconveniente.

Not for families with children

Having requested a room for 4 ( one child) they accommodated is in three beds. Location is 30 min walking from cathedral. Definitely not for families with young children.

なぜがわからないけどアプリで予約してたのより少し高い値段を請求されました。 ホステルはよかったです。大きい鍵付きのロッカーに、室内のシャワールーム。ソケットやヘッドライトはベッドにありません。 キッチンがあり、スーパーもホステルのすぐ近くにあったので自炊しました。

We stayed in the private room. To be honest, I think I would be able to find somewhere better with the same price. I dont know what it is like to be in the dormitory but if you are looking for a private room, there are pros and cons. The hostel is located 15 mins to the center of the city, which is nice since the tram/bus ticket is cheap(4kuna for one 30mins ride). The receptionists were very kind and friendly. Obviously they've worked hard and managed to maintain the hostel awesome. They even offer all guests a free welcome drink. You should try out Rakiya(?or something sounds similar....) Great amount of credits to those who work there. The room was clean fairly enough. But, the thing is, I could see little ants crawling at the wall in the bathroom. I mean I love them , cause they were cute! Warning for those who cares about hygeine or maybe disease. And the bed was not that comfy. It feels like it is full of some kind of cheap materials. Pillows were worse. Cottons are clogged up here and there. These were all bearable because we had not stayed for long and because the people were kind and nice. I think it might be better to stay in a dormitory room.

Für Personen, die eine kostengünstige Unterkunft in Zagreb suchen, ist das Funk Lounge Hostel wirklich toll. Mit der Straßenbahn, die nur wenige Schritte vom Hostel entfernt liegt, kommt man einfach ins Stadtzentrum. Mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten liegen in der Nähe. Das Frühstück im eigenen Lokal ist für ein Hostel wirklich sehr lecker, klein aber fein. Das Zimmer ist einfach, aber bietet alles was man braucht. Die Möbels sind teils abgenutzt, aber in Ordnung. Sauberkeit war ausreichend. Der Großteil der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, eine Ausnahme gab es - wirkte extrem genervt.

I want to come again.

The saffs ware kind and fun. Easy access to the city center. The price was reasonable. If I go to Zagreb again, I will use this hostel.

Un super accueil dans cet hôtel style auberge de jeunesse mais avec chambres et sanitaires privés si souhaité. Personnel chaleureux et disponible. Très bien placé avec bus pour le centre ville en 15 minutes et restaurant attenant + une boulangerie et supermarché juste à côté. Confortable, climatisation, cuisine commune bien équipée et zones de repos agréables.Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Es muss genau erwänt werden, dass es einen Youth Hostel ist und kein normales Hotel. Das Hotel muss einfach Leute mit Kindern buchen lassen
