Was ok but needs better restaurant

The entire staff were wonderful, and the property itself is beautiful! Only thing that threw me off was the price difference listed on the itinerary, and may had increased due to early check-in, but was not told over the phone it would cost an extra $50 . Other than that, worth every cent.

Beautiful clean & spacious room, quiet & well laid out. Proximity to PNC Arena made a nice walk to a concert convenient.

Spacious room

Very spacious room. One of best rooms we have stayed in. Kind staff. Only negative: Room has signs with pictures indicating food in bar and breakfast area via ordercbut got there and they onky could do pizza. Pictures showed a delucious looking hamburger or grilled chicken sandwich both oictured wirh fries. Said they didnt have fryers any longer to cook such things. They shoukd remove those table signs from desks in rooms.

This was a great stay! The most comfortable beds I think I’ve ever slept on in a hotel!

The night check in lady and manager were extremely hospitable. The room was spotlessly clean. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. My favorite place to stay for the state fair.

The property was walkable to the PNC arena and in a safe and easily accessible location. We did happen to be there during the fair which did make traffic crazy in the afternoons! The Local Restaurant was right in front of the hotel and was excellent!!! The only negative we really was that breakfast was not complimentary and was not very good! Save your money and go elsewhere for the cost they charge!

Only negative I would give is the bar is Hughly overpriced, and breakfast was an extra cost. Food available for breakfast was ok, not great, but that quality of self service food should be included !!

Dark cave

This was the darkest room I’ve ever stayed in, with every light on the room was still dark.

A great place

It was only an overnight stay. But it was clean,comfortable, and had all we needed. The bar keep was very kind and served us a couple beverages from the bar even though she had locked things up and was trying to go. That was very thoughtful and appreciated. We had just got back to the hotel from a concert

Poor water pressure

Check in time was 4pm, we arrived at 4:45 and no rooms were ready. The person on the front desk was talking on his cell phone while waiting on me. Finally got a room a little after 5:30. Only 2 lights in the room worked and the room smelled when the a/c was running. I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was a short walk to the PNC Arena perfect. Breakfast had some issues. They served dry English oatmeal that required a microwave to set up. There was no microwave worthless. We came for breakfast one morning at 9 AM, everything was cold. Including the coffee and sausage. Critical to any breakfast

Breakfast was horrible. Room was dark and the auto blinds didnt work so you couldn't open them to let light in.

Staff is not well managed. Lady running breakfast is rude. They have no system in place for parking which is pathetic given the premium to stay next to the RBC Arena. Do they get tag #s? Nope. Was there parking when i arrived? Nope. Did i park right in the front? Yes. This is $50 staff at a $100 hotel for $225.

Convenient for going to Carter Finley

It's am ok hotel for the price. Close to the fairgrounds, which we needed this trip. Had a couple maintenance issues: bathroom door would not stay latched/closed, and the faucet leaked a little around the base. Neither was a big deal for us so we did not go the desk and try to get another room. Also, breakfast is an added charge. The lady informed us of it as we started checking it out, but some signage would be nice too in pointing that out.

The hotel did not have the type of room we reserved, but put us in an adequate substitute. The pool was closed throughout our 3 day stay. We had planned to relax poolside while in town visiting our son. The first evening I checked with the restaurant to see what they had for dinner fare... only chicken tenders and fingers. Currently did not even have buns for hamburgers. Certainly not a four star hotel, but our room was comfortable.

I thought the overall hotel was wonderful. The breakfast was horrible!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Check in guy made weird comment when i told my daughter to tell him "have a good night". Also bathrooms have mold on walls. Dirty room, hair on towels from either staff or previous guest, and trash left on floors from previous guests. Morning breakfast lady was really sweet.

Way overpriced for what you get (very average). They also charge extra for again average breakfast.

The man who checked me in was lovely. The room is spacious and comfortably furnished. The AC unit was very loud, but other than that the room was quiet. It was a pleasant calm place, away from traffic, but convenient to many things. Linens and surfaces were very clean, but the light switches looked older and less clean.

Great location if you’re going to an event at the PNC Arena. The hotel is directly across the street and you can easily get there by walking and avoiding all of the traffic.

Terrible and expensive

First I was very disappointed because the clerk that took care of us upon arrival was rude, and on his iPod phone and was talking to someone personal and not really paying any attention to us. Then the room had no toilet paper only two small towels. Very noisy because in ground floor. Overall the experience was terrible. To top it off the breakfast was told to us that it was included but then we were told it was $10.75 and was cold.

Great location for what we were here for (Hockey Game). Friendly staff, clean, spacious room and nice amenities.

Great staff and very clean rooms

I stayed in this hotel for the graduation of my nephew from NC State at the PNC Arena. If you're going to the PNC the location has no comparison. It is walkable while the traffic going in was heavy. Other than this you would need a car for everything else, but you can get anywhere within 15 minutes. The rooms are very comfortable and modern. I took a point because I coudn't have access to Netflix or Prime since the TV did not had internet. The staff called to the company in charge of this to fix it remotely and they couldn't. They told me that they can change me to another room but since I was leaving the next day, I just leave it.

Overall stay was good. Staff in general were friendly and accommodating. However, we were not at all satisfied with the breakfast experience (which we had to pay extra for) First morning I had to ask the attendant for numerous food and utensil items to be restocked. Second morning no one seemed to be working in the breakfast area. No food items or plates were being restocked. Had to ask the front desk what was going on? Third morning there was staff in the breakfast area that were very friendly and working as hard as they could but still the food items were subpar. I noticed the bagels had moldy areas. We will probably stay there again because of the location convenience, but definitely not pay extra for breakfast.

It was very quiet, considering it was right across the street from pnc arena, and it was game night. Beds are nice and cozy.

It was beautiful relaxing and it has a pool and gym and the bed was soo comfy I would definitely go back and stay again 10/10! Recommend the breakfast was great too!!

So welcoming!

The hotel has a nice sitting area near a fireplace when you walk into the front doors, immediately giving a feeling of welcome. The front desk attenedant was very helpful and polite. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and in a great location.

No Help For Double Charged Incidental Fee

This was a business trip and we have stayed here several times over the last couple of years. The facility is nice and clean. However, there was a glitch in their system and it charged my co-worker twice for Incidentals because the sign in pad showed approved but their computer didn't give them an approval code, so they asked him to swipe his card again and everything worked. However, he checked his account and both transactions went through. Since they only had one approval code they said they could only reverse one of the charges. They offered no assistant and just told him he would have to take the matter up with his bank. So because of their mistake he is having to dispute the additional charge to get his money back.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel, which is away from main road, is in a quiet location. Clean and comfortable.

Comfortable and walk to PNC Arena isn’t that bad of a walk

In town for a comedy show at PNC Arena. Hotel and staff (Lisa) were amazing and it was less than a 10 min walk to arena. Will definitely stay here again.

Our favorite part about this property is the size of the rooms. They are so large our family isnt right on top of each other!!!

Check in was easy. The room was large and clean. Two issues: the water in the bathroom sink came out in a trickle. I told the desk about it the morning after checking but it still was not fixed by checkout the following day. The room was not made up or fresh towels provided. Maybe I missed something, but I didn't see anything to indicate the service was not provided. I didn't get back to the room until 11:30 PM so not much I could do at that time. The fitness center was adequate but one of the treadmills had a bad belt with a pronounced vibration.

Wooded oasis and a short walk to Canes victory!

Perfect location and a beautiful hotel. Felt like I was in a ski resort, actually. Super friendly staff who remembered several regulars it seemed. Had an issue with the tv not working but a call down to the front desk and a call back had it working within 20 minutes. View outside the windows were gorgeous with incredible black-out shades. We almost slept the whole day away. Room was so spacious it could’ve used better lighting but other than that I can see why folks come back - especially for Carolina Hurricanes hockey games!
