Excellent location and service throughout our stay. The rooms are a little tired and could do with an update but the hotel is clean and well kept and we had a Wonderful stay….
My room looked very dated like 1960s. The door used a old-school key with chain which you had to lock the door from the inside once closed, you also had to turn the key in every time you left the hotel. If you stay on the second floor in the back, all you hear is construction going on from morning until late afternoon. Hotel Location was ok.
Great 1 night stay
Lovely hotel, would recommend
Go ahead! Book it!
Great hotel with a Michelin restaurant in a very walkable location! Friendly, helpful staff! I just stayed here for a full week and by the end of my stay the staff felt like old friends. Breakfast is a large spread including everything you could want. Hotel is quiet, elegant and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
Lovely hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast great. Location excellent , 5 mins walk to main train station. Rooms a bit tired and could do with redecorating.
We loved the location, our room, breakfast, front office staff.
Beautiful , elegant , peaceful interesting and trains to many areas of interest and beauty
Classic Italian hotel with friendly staff and well situated in the centre. Good value for money.
Great value for money. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and cleaned daily. Comfy bed and pillow, really strong wi-fi and good shower. Great location in the centre of montecatini. Not a huge amount to do there but a good base for trips to Lucca, Florence and Pistoia by train. Hotel is 5 minutes from the station. Can’t complain for the price but the room was a bit old in parts. Overall, very happy with our triple room which was very spacious.
.
Nice, older hotel in a great location
This was our second stay at this hotel and like the first time, it did not disappoint. It is an older hotel but it is kept up pretty well. Breakfast was terrific, as was the staff. The location is great - convenient to the center of town, as well as shopping and restaurants. We come to Montecatini once or twice a year so I hope we can stay here again.
This is an older hotel but the room was very comfortable. It is a short walk from the hotel to the main piazza and the train station so it is very convenient. There were many options for breakfast and in the evening the restaurant serves dinner although we did not eat there. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I will stay here again the next time I am in Montecatini.
love the location of the hotel.
Good value, great location, good staff, great communal areas. The shower in the room was not great and a very small. However overall it represented very good value for money.
Just perfect!
Beautiful, comfortable, friendly staff, walking distance to good restaurants and shops, safe area, very reasonable priced, just perfect! I would stay here again for sure! Highly recommend anyone stay here when visiting Tuscany. It’s an easy train ride to Lucca, Pisa, and Florence!
A charming Hotel with really friendly helpful staff and a very good restaurant and excellent service
Great stay!
Arrived really late, receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Bedroom really quiet and restful. Breakfast was nice and staff friendly. Lady at check out was really nice. Really pleased overall. Will definitely come back!
Good hotel, great location
All in all the stay was very good. One of the only hotels that active in this covid time. Breakfast served by the hotel employee, a good one with many choices. One minor issue, in some places it needs maintenance but it is not such significant.
Love it but bed were hard, great location, would go again
Like out of an old movie
This hotel gives you the feeling of one of those places out of an old movie when everything was glamorous. It is well kept, clean and the rooms are comfortable. The service from the front desk, not so much. My advice is to deal with them as little as possible. If you do one thing here is eat in their restaurant La Pecora Nera. Best best food and service in Montecatini. Highly recommended.
Beautiful hotel in great location. Fantastic breakfast. AMAZING dinner.
Staff was wonderful !! Location is perfect, there are many restaurants near the hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and the air conditioning was cold. Everything about our stay was fantastic.
Very clean and pleasant hotel, looks very smart from the roadside. Bright and clean room though could have been a little bigger Nice patio around the outside to sit and have a coffee or a drink Nice breakfast with good fruit juice and coffee
Very high standard throughout. All facilities including breakfast were first class. Excellent location - 5 mins from Central town station and close to town life including church. Staff are so obliging.
Nice staff, great restaurant and location
Lovely hotel close to everything
We loved our stay, clean and comfy , staff were very friendly.
Great location-comfortable beds-very clean-Excellent staff -Huge breakfast-Very reasonable rates
Nice and reasonably priced hotel in a central location with helpful Staff.
We we had a problem the first night as the AC and rig we're not working and this resulted in a sleepness night due to the outside noise from a carnival, as the windows had to be left open to cool the room. They upgraded our room that next day. They had a delicious breakfast though it was served late 730 to 1030 for touring the surrounding. We loved the area and the hotel, as it had old time charm and elegance.
Stay here
Great location close enough to train for easy day trips to Florence or Pisa, far enough so no noise. Close to everything in Montecatini. Very friendly and accommodating staff,
Shame bar and restaurant were not open
Great hotel in wonderful city
Hotel is centrally located to spas, plazas, restaurants and shops. Hotel restaurant has food that is extremely delicious and fairly priced. Breakfast is a great mix of choices, all outstanding, especially the fresh fruit and the fresh baked goodies
Very Nice Hotel
The Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean and comfortable and located near the center of the city.
Clean with good location and friendly staff
The hotel was clean and deserves a 4 star rating. We had a nice size corner room with 2 large windows. The bathroom was also bigger than normal verses other hotels we've visited in Italy. The location was a 1 minute walk to the main city center. The receptionist (Catia) was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, spas and other local activities.
4 star hotel ?
Is this a 4 star hotel - I booked it because it had an excellent rating but this is what we found in our room on arriving - please see photos attached
Good front office staff, the rest terrible.
No ice machines only at bar you can find some. Internet is slow and unreliable specially if you are going to do work. Night bartender has no customer service skills. Front desk staff are helpfull and try to accomodate guest needs.
Short stay,
had a wonderful few days in Montecatini and the hotel was very convenient to all amenities,no problem with parking our car ,but purchase parking ticket from hotel
Nothing great about it, but a good 3-Star hotel
Great location. Nice breakfast. Parking is not free, but the day pass is reasonable as long as you can find a parking space near by. The hotel staff are OK, nothing good or bad to say about them. My room was clean, but a bit dated. I used the stairs to go up/down from my room and I noticed that they don't clean them that much. I just thought that the 4-Star rating was a bit too generous for this hotel. A good 3-Star hotel.
Very good location, outstanding breakfast, hotel stuff is very helpful.
Hotel staff helpful, excellent cleaning staff, but
We generally had a positive stay here and housekeeping staff and front desk people were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was not particularly noteworthy even though it is stated as fine dining. The hotel obviously has no interest in running its bar which is supposed to be open at 5 for cocktail hour. Whenever we wanted to get served there, someone at the front desk had to be asked to have someone at the bar. We then waited for someone to come from the restaurant, who seemed put out to be asked. Often they couldn't make a cocktail and left immediately after waiting on us. We have stayed in hotels in the same city whose bar area was staffed and patronized better. They should just close their bar because no effort is made to operate it.
love Montecatini
I`ve stayed here before and this visit even surpassed the last visit. The hotel. breakfast is the best I`ve had on the Continent. The hotel location is excellent for a base to travel around Tuscany being only 5 mins from railway station. Montecatini is lovely and this hotel was so welcoming. I`ll be back.
A reasonably goof hotel
A good hotel for the value. If the room and the TV screen were a little bigger we would have been fully satisfied.
Very nice stay. I recommend.
Excellent stay. Easy walk from train station. Comfortable bed. Large room. Good a/c. Excellent breakfast buffet. One evening they had a free champagne reception with delicious appetizers which was delightful. East walk to gorgeous park. Good shopping in town.

Great Value Great Luxury Hotel
Terrific
Excellent in every way
Comfortable, well maintained hotel
The Ercolini in Montecatini Terme was perfect for our week long stay in this area of Italy. It is conveniently located in this pleasant town and serves as a great base for visiting Firenze, Lucca, Sienna and other fascinating locations. The hotel itself is very comfortable and well maintained. Our room on the 4th floor overlooked a small garden with a large palm tree and other greenery. We are sensitive to noise but the room was quiet and it was lovely to get up in the morning, open the door and walk out onto our own private little balcony with a view of Tuscan countryside. The housekeeping staff were very thorough and our room and bathroom was meticulously clean. The bedding although perfectly acceptable and very clean, could perhaps be upgraded to include a light, white duvet rather than the blanket which was there. The breakfast room is luxurious and the food typically Italian - plentiful, tasty and beautifully presented. In all a very pleasant stay.
Pleasant, centrally located hotel
I stayed at this hotel in what was clearly the off-season, but the pleasant and helpful staff made sure I had a good stay.
Onw of the best place and hotel of my italy tour
We Would Enjoy Returning!
We stayed at Ercolini e Savi for 3 days and were very pleased. The reception personnel was friendly, helpful and professional. Staff helped us with the train service to Florence. We had been by car to Florence previously and found parking and driving there nearly impossible.Taking the train instead was very easy. The breakfast buffet offered an elaborate choice of food and drink in pleasantly appointed surroundings and attentive service.
There are better values in Monecatini.
Single glazed windows on street side! I have never seen this in a "4 star" hotel. We could here traffic and music well into the night. Hotel did offer to move us to the rear, but stated those rooms had double glazing because they were next to the A/C equipment! We had the standard room. A bit plain, bed was firm, but the worst thing was the 24" shower! A bit difficult to wash important parts! Hallway was dingy and carpet stained. Original doors are interesting, but not quiet. The rooms have high ceilings and lots of hard surfaces which only increase the noise. Considering the high room rate I thought the staff might consider a 10% refund. No way! And I cancelled a superior room at the nearby Puccini for less money! There are positives. Good location and close to train station. Chiarra is a super bartender who went above and beyond expectations. Nice breakfast and eating area with an outside option. Lots of tour groups can pick over the breakfast quickly! We did not try the restaurant. Pleasant outside area near the bar. Parking is on the street, and you pay the hotel 3.05 Euros a day for a pass. Usually easy to find a spot near hotel, except for Saturday. Staff was helpful. But considering how much this hotel is charging, you would do well to consider other options.
Top little hotel
Great clean room, close to everything including train.
Bliss
Perfect for all 4 of us and the location was excellent - right in the heart of this beautiful town
Fantastic atmosphere
If you want to get a sense of Tuscany, it's a right place. The atmosphere is fantastic, we stayed during Ferragosto and the horel organised a cocktail party for guests. Generally a very relaxed and decent hotel
Very good
Close to train station and main street. Nice, clean and quiet
Stay during the new year
Overall it was a pleasant stay. A clean hotel with the best staff.
Great Hotel, Location, Helpfull Staff
Great little hotel located in the heart of Montecatini Therme. Front desk was very helpful with all our questions. Parking was easy, we got a spot right out front for Eur 3.50/day. The Hotel restaurant is excellent. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean and modern, rooms are nice size. I highly recommend this hotel. Perfect for business or pleasure.
Nice hotel close to terme
Premium room was small, I can't imagine how small the regular rooms are. Shower stall just like on a cruize ship, tiny. Staff is super friendly and helpfull. Broken AC was fixed immediately. Breakfast is served till 10 am, so if you are drinking waters on empty stomach, you are barely making it towards the end. And they don't replenish all the items - couple times I came down around 7:30 am and there was a lot more food (quantity and selection of items) than at 9:45 am. Location is great.
A gem in a beautiful town!
We booked this hotel as a launch pad to get to Lucca and Florence. After we got there we realized we didn't wanted to go anywhere....Montecatini and Montecatini Alto were simply amazing!!!! The hotel and it's staff were super friendly and helpful. Location and cleanliness couldn't be beat and last but not least room size was as spacious as you will find in Europe.
In the centre
Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. In the centre, quality hotel, stylish, value for money.
Great location
Great looking hotel from the outside.Lovely restaurant area.Great location, close to shops and restaurants and sights
Cosy hotel!
I've been staying for two weeks with children. Cosy hotel, friendly personal, great restaurant!!
close to train station and restaurants
pleasant
Spa break in Montecatini Terme
This was our third stay this year as we enjoy the varied spa treatments available. We choose November as it is a quiter period so you can really enjoy your therapies. The spa is open all year round but March to October are the busy times. Due to its central location, Montecatini is also used as a cheaper hotel alternative for many tourists and school trips visiting the surrounding areas so if you go for a relaxing time you need to choose your period carefully. The hotel is very central and the staff is very helpfull. We chose B&B with a basic room. Breakfast is served in a beautifull hall on the groud floor, it is adequate. There is a small hot section with scambled eggs (only one big pot for the whole period so you'll find it very moist at the beginning and very dry later on) and either bacon, frankfurtens or sausages; cold meats and cheeses, a selection of breads, jams, pastries, fresh and canned fruits, a selection of cereals, yogurts, teas & coffes and juices (rather watery). Our room was on the first floor, facing the front. It was a fair size, fairly clean though we spotted few cobwebs on the ceiling. Bathroom was small with only a shower. The main issue was the noise from the traffic and the refuse collection early in the morning. The beds are also quite soft. Overall an ok stay although there are better four star hotels.
wonderful!
Perfect for a great rate. Very good .I mean excellent!
Scenic location
Great location, hotel brilliant, close to train station - trips to Lucca & Florence, local restaurents were very good, when here you must go on funicular to montecatini alto.
Wonderful surprise
We expected a 3 star but I would rate this closer to s 5. Staff was friendly accommodations were luxurious and the hotel is situated close to shops and transportation. They also have a restaurant with some of the best meals we have ever heard. Hated to leave. We were there a week.
A Great Location for all of Montecatini Sights
We had a wonderful time in Montecatini thanks to the convenience of this hotel . The staff was very friendly and helpful.. The breakfast had such a variety of food. We would stay here again
Convenient location
Hotel is close to the Eiffel Tower and is in a good location for getting around Paris and for location is a good price, but it is very small in all aspects , the hallways, the elevator (two people max without luggage) and the rooms just enough room to move around.
Great Location and nice hotel
Nice hotel very close to main sights.
Excellent value and location
We thought this was a perfect hotel for our stay. Well priced, excellent location and comfortable accommodation.
Very nice hotel.
Great location for exploring Tuscany, particularly Pisa and Florence as mid-way between. The entrance, dining areas and shared areas are very opulent with marble pillars ans chandeliers and impressive. Our room was a little tired and in need of a refresh but it served as an ideal base for our exploring of the region. Great buffet continental breakfast with fresh coffee. Staff very friendly. Excellent value for money and location.
Beautiful, Old World Charm
Beautiful!! Great breakfast buffet in the morning. Would definitely come back.
Ercolini e savi
Room in need of refurbishment. Evening meal OK but salads not great
Ercolini E Savi - Would stay again
My partner and I stayed here; hotel very clean, breakfast buffet ample but we were disappointed there was not a larger or at least varied selection of meats / cheese. We asked for a double bed and were provided with a room whereby two single bed bases and mattresses had been pushed together and so we were always falling apart in the middle. From having read trip advisor and reviews there suggesting to book higher floor as these were perhaps not so tired, I did that. Our room 4th floor, was huge! and looked much better than rooms on other floors. Very convenient location for restaurants / railway station (Terme), and supermarket.
Nice town, but far away from Pisa
We booked the hotel and thought this is near to Pisa. It seems that we did not pay attention and this was 35 km away from Pisa. The disadvantage was the distance, the advantage was, that the hotel is in the center of a spa town. So you could walk around in a nice atmosphere. The hotel would need some redecoration, the best times of the hotes were 50 years ago. It seems that the upper floors are quite new so when you book you should book a room in the upper floor (the new part of the hotel). Staff is very friendly, breakfast is fine. Who likes the flair of old art-deco hotels is in the right place.
not to go
bad experience. the room was not like in picture. They don't have a parking, have to find a place in the street.
Inizio settimana da relax
Hotel già conosciuto. Posizione strategica per visitare il centro città. Staff cordiale e molto gentile.
Very kind staff. The hotel was very old though and is in need of renovation. The breakfast was good, but very monotone and simple for a 4 star hotel. Most guests were 70 with a few exceptions. But seemed to be the trend in all hotels in that area.
Tutto ok
In desperate need of some isolation and upgrades
This hotel is not properly isolated. Our room was facing one of the roads, and each evening and night we could hear music, people talking, excessive driving and so on. On our last night the room vibrated as a car with extremely loud music and bass blasted through the street. Even though it had air conditioning, it never cooled down properly, and always felt stuffy. The breakfast is made up of cakes and more cakes. 90% sugar. They had tomatoes and watermelon as well as some ham. On our second day there was even some cheese. Very dissappointing. The room was however clean, which was nice. We would not stay here again, nor recommend this hotel if you are light sleeper or need fresh air in your room.
Charmoso
Tutto ok
Camera superior grande e confortevole. Colazione buona. Cena al Pecora Nera ottima.Ambiente stile belle epoque.
super
Heel goed stadshotel. Zeer proper hotel, grote kamer. Restaurant in hotel is super.

We paid in full for a reservation for two rooms 5 months before our arrival on October 11. We booked through Expedia. The day before our arrival, we were able to check in online for one room. The hotel did not send a link for the second room. We called the hotel. They said not to worry and that it would take five minutes to check in for the second room when we arrived. When we arrived on October 11, we were told that the hotel had overbooked. We were taken to another hotel that they said was comparable, but was not. It turned out that there was a large city outdoor event taking place on the evening of October 11 (with many people) and there was a major regional bike racing event the following day. At the present time, the hotel has now given three completely different reasons for not having our fully paid rooms available. We chose this hotel for very specific reasons. I would never do business with this hotel again. I believe their initial excuse that they overbooked was true - they "overbooked" with people that paid higher rates than what we had paid through Expedia. (We went online on the evening of October 11 and checked for "availability" for the the days following October 11. For a few days, the hotel's website stated that the hotel had rooms available but it was not accepting reservations through Expedia.) I am also very disappointed with Expedia because its telephone representative was of no help when contacted on October 11.
