Enjoyable
I had a very pleasant stay. The room spacious and clean with a good view
Will be back!
Nice and spacious, arrival cookie and the free ferry were a great bonus for the kids also free breakfast for the kids with a paying adult. Bit tricky to get to from main stations but once you are there and have access to the main ferry it is great!
Fantastic Hotel, Amazing Service
It's my 3rd time to stay at this hotel in the last 6 weeks, it is fantastic, the team are wonderful and it is so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Nothing is too much trouble for the guests.
Stunning location
Brilliant service, location and amenities
This was such an amazing stay! Came over for the London Marathon and booked a room sort of at the last minute. The staff was very warm and welcoming. From the front desk, breakfast, maintenance, absolutely the best. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Loved that it was in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the ferry to cross the Thames. If I ever come back to London, this property will be at the top of my list to book.
Staff were very attentive and helpful.
An absolute gem of a hotel! Really loved the ferry service and was pleasantly surprised about the option. Breakfast had a great assortment and staff were kind and very helpful. I personally liked that this hotel was located away from touristy areas of london, it just felt really quaint and slow paced.
We’d a fantastic time as a family visiting London at the Double-Tree Hotel. The Ferry across to Canary Wharf was a fantastic service. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
Hotel was a great location, with a tasty breakfast and lovely bar
The Hotel is excellent. We had a great time.
Beautiful Location, Amazing Hotel
This was my second stay at this hotel, it is fantastic in every way.
Great hotel for families. Large family room with fabulous views from the balcony. Free breakfast for kids made it worth paying for as its rather expensive otherwise. Handy location for the Minecraft Experience if driving. Rooms are a little tired but a solid 4 star overall.
A short stay for my family. Nice hotell but it was a long busride to get there.
Feels like being on Sydney Harbour 😎
We have been coming to the Doubletree docklands for years now with our whole family- but In Recent years have been splurging out and booking the junior suites- as they are so worth it! The best thing hands down about this hotel is its location looking out over the river to Canary Wharf. By day you can hear the waves of the tidal Thames lapping at the shore, the sounds of the ferries going past and see the sun glinting off the buildings. I’m from Sydney and it’s the closest I’ve come to -being the other side of the world- to Sydney harbour and the ferries! On a sunny day I can almost imagine I’m back at home on the harbour! The urban beach here adds to that feel, but if you can afford to splurge - the junior suites have balconies that open to the front and look out over the river- it’s gorgeous. The food has by far improved in the restaurant since the last time we came , but in particular the service from the very friendly and hardworking staff is outstanding. Our room was clean and spacious and the beds and In Particular the pillows were really comfortable. The final cherry on the top is that there is a complimentary ferry from Canary Wharf to the hotel dock on the other side- which very soon will be upgraded to being electric! Overall my fave place to stay in London by far 😍
We enjoyed our stay. Loved that there was an Uber dock on-property.
I had some urine stains on the covers, the hotel said they’re going to refund me £80 back to you so that you can give it back to me
Everything was brilliant apart from beds and pillows not comfortable at all!!
Poor aftercare
Nobody replies to my emails. We had a nice stay and the service at check in was excellent. If somebody replied to any of my emails this would have been a sure 5 star review. We left something important in the room and wanted to arrange to have the item posted at our expense but we are yet to receive a response 3 weeks and many chase emails later...
It was all wonderful, staff are amazing, kind and helpful. Great room, very clean.
Very far from city center. Very inconvenient. Bathroom stinks. Outdated bathrooms and rooms. Food was not good.
Good Room but Gluten-free Problems
Jonas was lovely on the front desk, room was great, comfortable and big. Breakfast was poor as my partner has Coeliac disease and although being assured by the front desk it wouldn't be a problem, we were met with befuddlement by the Breakfast staff. Even after being told what was gluten free, there was still problems with the food my partner was told was gluten free, a real shame as the rest of the stay was great.
Great Views, fantastic area!
Overall great. Some local construction that was not at the fault of the hotel. Great experience overall. Really enjoyed sitting outside the following morning drinking coffee and juice with the views of the Canary Wharf.
Great location. Easy access to Central London. Staff was very helpful
awful
We were convinced the bed had bed bugs or fleas as the minute we jumped into bed we both started itching like mad for the both nights we stayed. Very odd! This has never happened to us in any other hotel and this is a 25 night trip in the UK with many hotels.
The hotel staff, location and amenities were brilliant. We were really disappointed though with the room, the air conditioning unit was loud
March Hilton
Excellent stay - everything was very clean (and cleaned for the second night). The only thing I missed was fresh air overnight, as the window in the room does not open (by design!). But will be back!
This was a nightmare. They made us pay £100 extra for a “suite” because our room wasn’t clean and ready at the check-in time. We agreed because we had reservations and couldn’t wait another hour or longer for them to clean it. When we returned from our event at 10pm, we asked for them to bring sheets for the fold out sofa for our children to sleep. At 11:40pm, still no sheets and our children had fallen asleep without a bed. When we got into the King bed, there were brown smears and hair all over the sheets and pillow cases. I took photos. Around midnight, they brought 1 Queen flat sheet and pillow cases for the King bed. No top sheet, no blanket, and the bottom sheet was too small so part of our body was on plain mattress. For nearly £500 a night, I would expect at least 1 bed with clean sheets for a family of 5. This facility is so gross and the staff do not care.
liked the hotel very much and expect to revisit but not sure if there were rooms with baths instead of showers as usually prefer choice of bath as helps with my body pain.
Satisfactory but need to adjust the price of food and improve on the quality.
All staff were lovely Dinner in restaurant was super with great service Breakfast was fantastic Overall a lovely stay Complimentary ferry to Canary Wharf Could not recommend this hotel enough
Good location, but reliable on boat service running (which it wasn’t on the Sunday morning due to low tide). Would have scored higher but another occupant was given a key to our room and attempted access twice late on Saturday evening. Duty manager was helpful next morning but it did mean a sleepless night
Excellent Experience
Alexander welcomed us straight away as soon we walked in with a smile on his face, he also checked us in as it was quite busy at the reception desk. He was amazing, so welcoming and so interactive The room I stayed in was average, especially the bath tub, marks on the door, chipped , scratched furniture. Should not be called delux , not near
me, my partner and my friend really enjoyed our stay. the beds were super comfortable and the room was so nice, exactly like the photo.
10/10 EXCEPTIONAL!
Clean nice hotel
Not a comfortable stay. Over charged me The amenities were unsuitable for a 4.star
Great place to stay, easy to get to places we wanted, polite staff and just a great general place to stay. Will be staying there in future
Friendly Staff
Friendly, quality, would stay again!
Great stay, helpful staff, great breakfast and service!
Enjoyed my stay.
Younis is the best!
Younis the reception staff really made my visit perfect.
Friendly helpful staff,
Ignore
First heating was not working then after a few hours light went in the room please do not book this place waste of money and trip
Valentines trip
Nice staff and great location. Hotel needs a bit of a refurb and a few trip hazards around the place. Door trims etc
Great stay
Staff were lovely and good location
We had a lovely one night stay. Room was comfortable with a great view, excellent location. The breakfast was very good too. Would definitely return.
Set by the water, Docklands was a nice stay with great views at night and good food over at canary, service from hotel staff was great and friendly and the boat fair was quick and free with proof of the stay, signs to training facilities were a bit difficult to find until close by and colombia seemed a little understaffed, overall 4/5
Always stay here when working at the excel in dock lands
Birthday treat
From check in to check out, we had such a great experience at this hotel. A family of nine staying for one night for my mother’s 80th present. Only slight problem we had was how to work the heating as we were a little chilly. However I’m sure if we had asked it would have been easy to sort but we were busy so didn’t have time to ask for help in this matter.
Excellent
Great trip
We had a very good Welcome, and staff took made such an effort for my Daughters birthday celebration, balloons and complimentary drinks for the famkly as we arrived. Brilliant service throughout by happy staff, made the trip one to remember.
Grand
Doubletree canary wharf
It was an amazing weekend stay
.
Very good apart from the noise from a party which went on until 1130, the music could be heard clearly we were on the third floor. My granddaughter who is 11 could not sleep
Birthday
One night for 02 concert
We stayed for 2 nights mid December, hotel was clean and the short interaction we had with staff was pleasant. We were disappointed by our room, very basic for what we paid, windows were frosted so we could not see out. Have stayed in nicer rooms at Premier Inns and Travelodge’s, water provided was only free if you are a Hilton member, which is free to sign up for but considering the amount we paid the small bottles of water could at least be complementary. The most disappointing part of our stay was the annoying buzzing which was continuous 24/7, making it difficult to sleep. Cookies on arrival were lovely and the uber boat across to Canary Wharf was very convenient and quick. Would not stay again unless a lot cheaper!
Not a great experience
While the breakfast and the check-in process were good, the poor cleanliness, lack of attention to detail, and underwhelming customer service left me disappointed. For a hotel with this reputation, I expected higher standards. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. One of the two glasses provided was dirty, as were the spoons for tea and coffee, though the cups were clean. In the bathroom, there was a mat in the shower, but when I lifted it, I found a couple of hairs underneath—a detail that was very off-putting.
Need remadling furniture.
Room photos misleading
Room and service were okay, photos were misleading suggesting you get a room with a view. My room was on the top floor with a velux window looking directly into another room with a velux window. The photos suggest you get a room with a view over the Thames.
Great hotel great service
Staff were lovely, really good stay for the price, pretty walk to the tube stations. Bed was comfy and all really clean!! facilities inc. the shuttle boat to canary wharf was perfect. Lovely stay
Stay
Was good but for the price of the Breakfast was overpriced £19.99 supplement when there is more than one person would be a bit pricey.
We had an amazing stay, although the towels were not that clean and some stains in the bathroom my the toilet. Other than that, staff were amazing, food was great, overall we had an amazing experience!
Very good service I'm happy and very clean very nice hotel thanks
I stayed here for the second time in 3 weeks for a business trip, and for the second time in 2 weeks I was not given the room I booked. The first was due to a supposed issue with the fire alarm, the second time I was made to wait for 10 minutes whilst they sorted something in the room. When I got in the room it did not have a balcony as described in the room amenities.
Good place for the family to stay
It was as good as expected. Breakfast was good. The staff were friendly
Quirky hotel lovely features Staff great Room wasnt the cleanest, bathroom mouldy and dated, toilet was dirty Fantastic views from window
Friendly staff, nice environment compared with other hotels nearby.
Good location to visit our son. Good location for Canary Wharfe and central London not far away. Room was comfortable but no view. There was a patio style door which seemed to be for the purpose of a fire escape. The glass was frosted so that you couldn't even see the doors opposite. Breakfast was very good. Had a meal in the hotel, which was a bit bland. I'd recommend finding somewhere else. Overall it was okay and served our purpose.
Location limited access to central London.
I liked the midday checkout. Room was spacious.
Fantastic stay
We loved this hotel! It was really fun for the children to get a boat across the river to get there. The check in staff we really efficient, it was much appreciated as it was late at night and we were all tired. The man even checked if it was ok to give the kids sugar, to which he produced warm cookies for us all which was a lovely guesture. The room was spacious for all 5 of us with a beautiful view of Canary Wharf. It’s a great location because proximity to the Elizabeth makes it quick and easy to get into town
The property was nice but it’s a pain having to get the ferry accross the Thames and then a fair walk to underground stations, quite a few changes to get into city centre so not the best location for us , breakfast at the hotel is mega expensive so we found a cheaper option out and about, the hotel price was expensive for a room only and in my opinion the £20 room upgrade on the day was not worth it , don’t think I would stay again due to the location
Large rooms, nice stay
It was a bit more remote that we had realised, we are very used to using the tube but the hotel was accessible by buses or a boat, which were both great as it happens. Check in took ages, two lines and noone allowed those waiting rhe longest to go first. One free cookie between 2 people but not if you have a nut allergy or gluten in tolerance. This hotel is trying too hard to be posh with posh cookies, and posh coffee sachets, completely unnecessary. Nescafe and some cheeap biscuots in the room would be perfect, and knock a few quid off the price of the stay. The room was lovely, a great size and aside from a lack of tea and coffee, it was great, quiet, large, good shower, nice big towels. Their wasdnt enough tea and coffee to have more than one drink each which is ridiculous, and it took 20 mins queuing and waiting at reception for the 5 men to get me some more, its basic stuff to have enough supplies in the rooms. It was a nice hotel with lots of space which is hard to come by in London. It was very close to the bus stop and ypu could cross the river for free with ypur room card which was good.
Overall wonderful experience. Really grand feel with the multiple building complex in an area that felt safe. Amazing service at the front desk - the lady upgraded us to balcony rooms. the ferry amenity lived up to the potential, quick access to all the main attractions inner city London. Only con was the restaurant closed fairly early and room service took far too long and was not the best quality. Would recommend!
lovely hotel very friendly staff . food excellent , rooms lovely
Only complaint is the guy at check in told me my room wasn’t ready. Next customer was given a room 2 minutes later. His colleague allowed me to get a room once original guy walked away. Original guy came back and was the one who checked me in. Didn’t give any info about hotel just room key and sent me on my way
Overall the property was great. Facilities were good. Rooms were a bit dated and the bathroom was small. Liked the river view. Free ferry to Canary Wharf was a nice option. Parking was sufficient. Location to the trains wasn’t the most convenient but definitely walkable. Quiet area. Good for families and great breakfast.
The staff were really lovely and helpful. The room (junior suite) was really nice. Good heated terrace overlooking the river. Good choice at breakfast but some of the hot buffet food was almost cold which let it down. Had an evening meal which was very good. Bar area nice. Comfy settees. Good ferry service to canary wharf.
Only marked this hotel down as the lady at check-in wasn’t very nice. After 3 attempts she finally found my booking and then tried to get me to pay again when I had already shown her my receipt. No apologies and unfortunately due to all that was going on I didn’t get her name! She then took a deposit of £50 something that the 2 people I was travelling with wasn’t asked for. On checking out I checked my credit card and £50 had been taken again!! Jonas was very helpful and hopefully has sorted it out (I hope)!
Free Uber Boat between hotel and Canary Wharf. Great breakfast!
Pleasant hotel for the money, rooms are tidy and well presented - staff are friendly and helpful and there is a jetty with a ferry service connecting to Canary Wharf (& easy access to Uber boats) Breakfast was above average with a good selection and nice quality food & the bar has a lovely patio overlooking the river.
Broken shower
Rooms spotlessly clean. Good room facilities, great check in staff. Arriving by boat is a bit special.
Room, view, breakfast and parking was excellent. The free boat to Canary Wharf was a wonderful and welcome surprise
Nice hotel and comfy bef
Nice hotel. Lovely super king bed. Free Uber Clipper to Canary Wharf which was unexpected. Only downside was no breakfast in price. £40 for two is steep and we didn’t bother.
The bathroom was tiny, with bath panel coming away from bath. No bath robes, slippers or fridge available in room.
Food choice was very good. Lots of plant based alternatives at breakfast and on the bar menu. Staff were friendly amd helpful. Surrounding area isnt great, but hey, its London. The rooms could do with updating. A few things are looking tired.
Nice hotel. Foyer and restaurant / bar up to date and comfortable. We didn't use the parking lot but the drop off is super small and tight. Always feel like you're in the way. Rooms are converted apartments. Rooms were a good size and AC was perfect. It was nice we could actually open the patio doors. No fridge though which would've been a nice touch. Common areas in the apartments could do with an update. New carpets, coat of paint brighter lighting. And the elevators definitely need doing. They're sound but small and slow. The food was amazing! Breakfast was out of this world. Think of a food and they had it! You could go light or full English. We are and would be good till late afternoon or dinner. Staff were great and very helpful. River taxi right from the hotel was an absolute bonus and allows you direct access to Canary wharf for free! Runs from 7 to 11:30 if I remember correctly. From canary wharf you get access the London underground and overground services. Can walk along the river and see quite a few historical points. Pub 2 doors down. A local but inviting and great food. I would definitely stay there again. Overall great value for the money, especially in London. To the staff, you did an amazing job and thank you.
The hotel is great, restaurant was really nice! The area wa a bit limited, with the hotel being right on the river I felt like going out seemed like more of a hassle rather than being in a central location nearer to a tube station
Not too many vegan options
The hotels offers good conditions for sleep, but the breakfast could include more vegan options. Thank you!
Views are great and so is initial inside look but lifts are small and family of 5 plus bags is not happening. Giving cookies out without asking if there are allergies is dangerous. 12.5% service charge for poor service in restaurant is excessive, rooms little dated no usb charging points and no robes as advertised. However getting a ferry to and from hotel is quite quirky and kids loved it. If its a base for going around and resting your head then perfect.
Hilton docklands
Location excellent Free boat to canary wharf is brilliant
All staff were professional, polite and very helpful- made us feel very welcome. The facilities were excellent especially the ferry.
Dissatisfied
The hotel was dissapointing and overpriced. The room had no mini fridge/ coffee machine or dressing gowns. Booked a king room but it did not reflect the photos advertised online. The service in the bar was slow and there was no place to buy snacks/ drinks as the shop area was closed throughout our stay. Definitely overpriced for the quality.
Access by car was quite difficult - lots of traffic. Parking at the hotel was good and not too expensive although the option of breakfast plus parking was not available.
Loved the location. Quiet and the free shuttle boat to canary wharf and then to Uber boats was the best way to get around.

Fabulous!
Absolutely fantastic stay. The staff were incredible, room spotless and breakfast delicious!
