This hostel has all amenities you would expect at a hostel. It was quiet to sleep in the "pods" and I appreciated the hot water! (as most travelers do). This location is close to attractions and is walkable to National Art Gallery, National Museum, and even up to Edinburgh Castle. The staff were excellent. A real plus that you can leave your luggage before you check in, as well as after you check out, so that you can benefit of a full day of your visit without dragging your stuff around.
Comfy but noisy
The hostel is clean and comfortable. We did however have lots of noise from nearby building work from 6am onwards. Several guests in the shared dorm did not respect the hour quiet hours so unfortunately quite a broke night's sleep.
Good value for money
Great little hostel with all the bells and whistles that you might need. Minimal staff, but everything is clear for check-in and check-out. This is an excellent option if you are a solo traveller looking for something a little more quiet than a rowdy party hostel. The bunks and bathrooms were very clean! The only downside is that there is only one toilet for ten or so guests on the first floor, but I understand that space is limited in Edinburgh. All in all, it is a great hostel with everything you might need for a great stay in Edinburgh.
Everything was great. Easy to find and the instructions in the email to get into the hostel was easy enough! Bed was super comfy and lockers easy to use.
Great Stay
The nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Service was great and the location couldn’t be beat. Was a terrific way to explore Edinburgh!
First time I’ve stayed in a hostel like this, the pods were comfortable and warm, check-in was easy. If you have a big bag like I did the rooms are a bit small and the bag doesn’t fit in the in room lockers.
The hostel itself was quite clean, but living in a dorm it is always largely dependent on who is staying there with you. Most of the girls were very quiet and respectful and tidy, but over the days there were one or two that made it messy/dirty for the rest. But nice to have the sleep pod which was my own space. A LOT of noise from the free house/pub outside the door, often until 3 AM, and again early in the morning when garbage and recycling were collected each day and pub being restocked. Ear plugs are a must. Windows were left open most nights for air despite the noise, but with the blanket provided the pods were quite warm enough. Tiny little flat pillow provided - if this is not suitable bring your own pillow / neck support. Overall very reasonable for the cost, lots of food choices and transport nearby, less busy than staying on the royal mile. Good if all you need is a place to sleep. Would stay again, but not for more than 3-4 nights - then I want a real bed!
Overall I am content with everything. I would come back again.
Room was clean and the bed was really comfy and the location was great only thing was the rooms can get rather hot other than that was a great stay.
Property was great! Loved the pods, gave a little bit of privacy and were cozy! The only issue I had during my stay was the locker being difficult to open. I had to get some help at one point because my code stopped working. But staff was phenomenal. Spaces clean. Not an overly social hostel as most kept to themselves but the girls I roomed with were awesome! Would absolutely stay again.
I liked the location, it was easy to get around most of the city.
Bedbugs! AND Hostel was unresponsive :(
I started feeling itchy and had bumpy rashes on various parts of my neck, arms, and torso after my first night, however did not realize that it was from bedbugs until I finally saw one on night 3 of my 4-night stay. I immediately took a photo of the insect before removing it (along with some others I found) and sent a message to the hostel with the photo attached. My message was marked as read and not responded to at all, which I found to be disappointing. I did not sleep at all that night out of caution of being bit again by another one I may not have seen initially. That morning, I did actually see another one which had just fed. Unfortunately, I had to acquire alternate accommodations last minute due to this reason, and this has proven to be an expensive change in my plans. I notified the hostel's team via the number provided, with photo evidence of the bedbug, as well as a voice-call with a live attendant at their main branch the next morning via hostel intercom as they did not answer the call from my personal phone, followed by an email with evidence of my claims. I requested a refund. It has been almost a week, and there is still no response. Very disappointed and would like a refund for this stay and treatment.
Property was easy to find, on the side street. Was rather untidy outside/entrance. On arrival, I wasn't able to qccess the property as I did not complete "check in" paperwork, uploading ID. wasn't ideal as I had no indication prior that this was a requirement to generate a code, wasn't aware there would be a access code to enter in. Luckily I was allowed to access to sit in guest area (make shift kitchen area with table & chairs) to complete paperwork, uploaded ID then try to work out when and how my booked space would be. No instructions provided from Expedia or Code Loft with regards to this, also no staff on-site to welcome, give indication to where to go. I was concerned to find no lift on-site, as I was within Penthouse (top floor), with a current restrictive injury, so I had to climb 4 floors with a case. No mention within of no lift. Positive of booking; penthouse was quirky, good size with seperate lobby, accessible to bathroom. Nice decor. Albeit some finishes a little tired. Balcony a nice touch when sun is visible to relax with, though the views are limited by other rooftop/chimneys or surrounding building, with slight site of Edinburgh Castle/Military Tattoo Stand within. On reflection, was lovely, bed comfortable, facilities great within penthouse. Nice touch with guests, but no instructions available to use this to experience coffee with pods available.
Smaller than it appeared on line
Was comfortable enough and I felt safe throughout my stay. The only « issue » would be that it would get quite warm in the pods so I had to open the curtain a bit, which gave me less intimacy. Very nice area - walking distance from every interesting attraction. Don’t bother paying for a tram pass. Would recommend!
Very good
One of the emails I received had an incorrect code number. I could not enter the property. However Amber helped set things right.
It was a wet week when I stayed there. It was impossible for me to dry anything.
Exactly what I needed
No elevator but it did have somewhere to leave your suitcase
I did like staying here . But I found it very hard to get up and down from top bunk bed. It would have been good if we could select before finding that you are located top bunker. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.
Clean and as described
The hostels walls easily accessible by train and tram. Centrally located for all Edinburg attractions. Place was clean and everyone was respectful Only issue was pretty noisy at night due to being located right over a bar.
Great place to stay - solo travellers
Very clean and welcoming. Surprisingly quiet given there are a number of bars and restaurants in the vicinity. Good location with large retail shops near by and a short walk to the royal mile for tours and the castle. Will definitely visit again.
First hostel stay for me and everything was so easy, great app for keyless/cordless entry, pod was a great size for me (5ft 4”) with conveniently placed usb charging point. Very clean and well stocked bathroom and kitchen. Some noise from pub delivery/bottles being put out but not enough to bother me at all, very convenient location for airport link bus stops and all attractions. Thank you so much will recommend to everyone I know and would definitely stay here again!
Clean comfortable
When arrived in my room late in the evening after a long and happy day in edinburgh visiting a relative, I was confronted with an unmade, apparently already slept in pod. This was most distressing and annoying. With no reception to complain about this, I decided to sleep in the adjacent, unslept in pod. However, then in the morning I awoke to find my locker had been locked out during the night and I could not access my clothes and belongings! All of this hassle and stress meant I didn't get a win of sleep. On the plus side, when I called the helpline via Whatsapp, the problems with my locker were fixed quite quickly by the support worker, who was also very patient, polite and kind. So it's hard to give an unbiased report on my stay due to those issues - might be ok for someone else. In conclusion, this hostel will not be my first choice for somewhere to stay when I'm next in Edinburgh.
Me casa es su casa
Enjoyable, will stay again, next time I.ll stay at another code in the city.
What’s the code?
At first I was confused about entry, 5 minutes later - no longer confused……. Travellers, please check your email for a code, I didn’t and that’s why I was confused. My stay so far is great, the hostel is small but very cozy and compact, love the co-living space, hostel is placed at the back of rose street, beside all the shops, restaurants but still has quieter and relaxed feel, the hostel staff are very helpful, friendly and keep the place looking amazing, just wash up after yourself travellers and we will all get along just fine x toiletries, hairdryers etc are there to be used not abused, so respect what’s been provided and have a great stay.
The hostel itself is really good! The pods, bathrooms and common areas are well kept and comfortable. The only downside, is the location. While it is right in the middle of new town, it is down an alley way and the sound of rubbish being emptied in the morning is extremely loud - usually glass bottles. If you wake up early than 8:30ish, it’s fine.
NOTE: This review is ONLY for the penthouse room. The room was incredible! Spacious, comfy but modern, with a fully equipped kitchen and a huge bathroom. There was also a very nice private open terrace that I didn’t get to use much because of the weather. I stayed for a couple of nights and I have to say it was well worth the value of getting my own private space, enjoying the views, cooking some meals and getting some work done. There’s little staff on site but the few times I came across them they were all super polite and friendly. I can’t speak of the shared dorms and other rooms but my experience was great and I would definitely come back.
It was a Good Stay Pods. Carry your USB Type A Chargers as they Don't Have Type C or Plugs Near To Beds Or Pods. Apart from that kitchens and Utensils Were Clean. BED WAS CLEAN.Pleasant experience in terms of stays.
Just so-so. The toilet is not very good. And the lock table in the room is in bad cleaning condition. The rest is good.
Give this place a try - you wont be disappointed!
Great place. V central - close to bars at night, and also to the airport bus link in the morning. Fantastic price (I got it for £20) too!! They have loads of things I didnt know about/ get to try cos I was literally there for 4 hours as a stop off for a few hours sleep before going on holiday - i will definitely make more use of the facilities next time!!
Good experience, nice flat.
Pleasant cleanliness that I was surprised by. Was expecting something shabbier but a it was really well maintained and kept clean. Maybe only the shower room rug was abit of a put off but otherwise everything else was nice and clean.
Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient
The location is fantastic - an easy walk to the castle and the Royal Mile, plus surrounded by restaurants, shops, and an easy walk to a Tesco Express and a Sainsbury Local for your basic grocery and other needs. And - most importantly - it was a clean and cozy place to stay, not too busy but with friendly travelers, and with comfortable sleeping pods that didn't feel claustrophobic. The pods had a useful storage shelf, a hook, and 2 USB charging outlets. And, I can't emphasize this enough: Everything felt clean. Would definitely stay here again.
I like the location. Was clean and safe, but for me was a different experience. I have never slept in a pod or cubicle. I couldn't bear it. For me was claustrophobic. I didn't know and i didn't get enough info before i booked. Obviously age plays a part and I will recommend this place to teenagers or younger people that are in for this experience I suggest to be more specific with the listing so people like me know in advance what are they getting into
I thought There are ppl upstairs drinking in the room and kept dropping the glass bottle on the floor and laughing loudly which woke me up a few times in the midnight. Toilet design is strange that the door couldn’t be fully opened, only someone who is really slim is possible to go into the toilet. Sent Whtsapp message for assistance which shall be 24/7, but I got the reply 9hrs later. Pillow went flat already which made the sleep totally uncomfortable
BEST HOTEL in Edinburgh I ENJOYED the bed and how I had plenty of space 100%. I would give it 10 out of 10
Great price
We stayed in the penthouse studio Fantastic room nice and big with everything you need
This is my first experience at a hostel. It was great. I was comfortable and felt safe. Staff is hardworking and helpful. The only thing is the bar next door. You will hear beer bottles being thrown out a few times a day. They do give earplugs so it helps to block some of the noise.
Really good place to stay. Can get quite loud with the pubs downstairs, but I’d definitely stay again.
Nice but wee 😉😂
Teeny older building in the heart of New Town, one block from Princes Street. Great location for food and shopping, with easy access to Waverly train station. It is hidden in an alleyway, so if you get lost finding it, look for The Standing Order, as the entry way is right next door. This entire experience is like Airbnb meets hostel. You’ll receive an email to “complete registration”, shortly thereafter you’ll receive codes for the door and your assigned room. The door is heavy! Well all of them are, really. The ground floor has a kitchen/lounge. With a lot of seating, storage for food, etc… I was on the first floor, in a girls only room. The rooms are teeny, in my room there were 6 pods. Which for privacy works great. The lockers are very slim, not large enough to put in a backpack or suitcase. But you can store valuables, just have to unpack them from larger bags. The rooms are chilly! My stay was at the end of April and the room was quite cold. The bathroom has 2 showers and one toilet. The showers in the space are nice, with two rooms, one for changing and one for the shower, the design means things stay dry that need to. The bathroom stall is large, but the door opens in, so it can be challenging to get in and out. Please post a sign asking people to refill the toilet paper. I was there just two nights and at least 3 times I went to the toilet and the paper was empty. Also suggest a bin with a hands free lid.
Penthouse Room
Lovely room, large & bright with small balcony. Clean. Towels were included but the email said they weren’t. I liked the bed but partner thought it was an uncomfortable. Amazing for the money, would definitely stay again. The only downside was that the area was a little noisy & the glass didn’t keep it out, especially the glass collection from the pub downstairs, and some kind of generator or boiler I could hear throughout, but not too loud.
It was really lovely hostel with storage space and a good sized bed.
Great value and cheap. Clean bedding. Floors were a bit grubby in bedroom and bathroom areas.
What I liked was it’s location to shopping and transportation. Also it’s cleanliness. What I didn’t like was the thermostat was locked 🔒 and not ajustable. Also, it’s location was neat to a noisy pub. But overall a nice experience.
Absolutely loved my stay at The Loft in Edinburgh. Very clean, the pods offered privacy. I arrived in Edinburgh late in the evening and when I walked into the room, there were low lights that immediately came on that allowed me to see but were low enough to not disturb the other sleeping guests, very nice feature. All around wonderful stay and the best hostel experience. Easy check in process and free storage for baggage on check out day.
The Loft is next to Pub so it is very noisy at night until 2 or 3 am, can't sleep early. There is NO AC, but thankfully the weather was cold when I was there, so window is always open to have the cold air in. The first night, there was a man in the room even though it is women only room. After complaining, the staff moved that man out. No an apology whatsoever from the hotel staff. Another event, there was so much difficulty from the staff to switch bed to lower level and the door access code was not working in the middle of day that I wanted to rest and get in the bed. The housekeeper was nice though. The kitchen in clean to enjoy a takeout food after long day out enjoying the City. The location is very convenient, just short walk to palace.
Great location, clean, loud at night (from outside
Great location. Clean. Easy to access. My only complaint is that it was loud. Not so much inside (just snoring and ear plugs were kindly pre-provided) but outside. It was Fringe festival time, so some folks were out until all hours … and deliveries to the nearby Restaurants start early. If you sleep deeply, it’s no big deal. If not, it may not be the right place for you.
If you prefer human interaction to digital living, this is not the place for you. Everything is done using the code on a keypad, including using the toilet during the night. The human response to a request—for example, to rent a towel—is poor. However, the pods are very cozy and the location is excellent. The common space is well equipped and the Wi-Fi works. If you are driving and must park a car, plan your parking ahead of time and consider taking an Uber to the property, in order to avoid the high parking fees near the castle.
Superb hostel!
This was a great hostel. I’ve stayed at a number of hostels, and this one was definitely one of the most comfortable and private. It was also very clean. The common area could have been a bit larger, but that’s just a result of the size of the building. It’s a busy location, but despite that it was really quiet and very secure. There are tons of great pubs and restaurants within walking distance along Rose St, and getting to/from the airport is quite easy with the bus or tram. The only real downside was that it was a bit hot.
This is the absolute best hostel I have stayed at. It feels like a hybrid hotel/hostel. You sleep in a pretty spacious nook with a cosy bed and curtains and ear plugs are even left behind for you. The bathrooms are modern and very clean. This is not a typical party hostel. It is quiet and good for people of all ages who are traveling. The location is great (not too far from the train station if walking). It is in the newer portion of the city. This hostel has a sister property in Old Town. It is very nice as well but the walk uphill (can include stairs) is difficult with luggage.
Surprised how comfy the beds were, slightly claustrophobic but would def use again!
Wow! If you are on a tight budget, this hostel is absolutely outstanding! Amazing location, my bed was double wide and super comfortable. Everything was clean. Staff was very responsive. Loved everything! If I ever come to Edinburg again, I’ll stay here for sure. Just wow! Quite unexpected.
Comfy stay
Feel privacy and comfy in a sleeping pod. Nice people and environment than usual hostels.
Perfect Penthouse apartment!
Very spacious loft apartment, facilities included fully equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, hob, oven, large bathroom with hand wash and shower gel, towels were provided. We had some access problems with the code but that was only due to putting it in too slowly, we believe. Heaters are switched on via a wall switch in the main room next to the heater itself and the bathroom one is just outside the bathroom door. These heat the space very quickly. Although we didn’t use it, there was a nice balcony with table and chairs outside. This accommodation is 4 floors up and there is no lift so be prepared to be able to carry your cases/bags up 4 floors! It’s worth it for the excellent location and standard though!
Clean, swift replies to emails, liked the code-based entry. Mattress needed changing as it was very thin in the middle but otherwise great place to stay
Convenience & good kitchen
Comfortable, convenience, good facility in kitchen.
Great location, comfortable room
Location is great - very convenient for shops and restaurants. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The hostel is next door to a pub so there’s quite a lot of noise in the evenings and deliveries early in the morning. This didn’t bother me but might affect a light sleeper. Hostel provided earplugs on each bed presumably for this reason. Only difficulty was getting hold of reception. Emails were slow to be looked at and phone number went straight to a voicemail that was full and wouldn’t accept any more messages. I resolved my issue independently but if I’d needed something urgent I’m not sure if I’d have been able to get hold of someone.
penthouse suite
great location and many places are in close walking distance and lovely room with balcony and private bathroom, would feel better if there was a way of locking door from inside
Great stay
We booked the penthouse private room for a long weekend, and it was amazing with the kitchenette and the balcony. The bathroom was really nice so as the bedroom part. The only negative thing I can mention is that the room was sooooo hot. We had 2 little fans in the room, but it wasn't helping much. I know it's not typical for Edinburgh to have 30°C like it was during our stay, but I would really suggest an air-con in the penthouse. Otherwise amazing stay, easy code system, worked fine and smooth. The hostel is in a really good position, walking distance from everything in citycenter.
Great Penthouse - nice kitchenette to use including fridge, stylish shower room and totally private on your own floor - combined with a competitive price and an incredibly central location for those that want to be by the shops and action round Princess Street, Edinburgh
Good value of money
Nice stay, very friendly staff, Safety compartment is easy to use and indeed safe, quite clean, good location (behind primark) and quiet. The only one thing can be improved is the mattress, the foam mattress is a bit old that it already have formed shape, you can feel the middle/core part is concave so it is not that supportive
One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at
Quite happy with my stay, centrally located and facilities were well maintained. The sleeping pod did not feel too cramped. It was spacious enough to sit up. Great shower facility as well.
Very friendly staff! Pod-style dorms are cool and give some extra privacy. Great value breakfast in the morning. Location is perfect for Old and New Town, and Waverley Station.
best hostel experience
The staff are supper nice, safe area, comfortable beds and very friendly roommates. I'll come back again.
They had great helpful staff and clean facilities! The rooms were and bathrooms were quite small for the number of people.
Perfect location. Easy to find & within walking distance of major sites. Large range of restaurants and shops in the area. GREAT staff!!!
A Edinburgh hostel gem
I stayed here for a week in a 6 female pod room. My first time in a pod. Much more peferable than an open bunk-more room, quieter and above all private. The hostel, being in centre of the city, was close to everything. including transport. The staff were lovely - helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Great location and rooms
Wonderful staff, lovely facilities and location. I am glad I ordered the breakfast for my stay too.
A great central location
The hostel is very central in a fantastic location, the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and a pleasure to visit. The only downside is that my Pod c9ukd have done with a new mattress, it was slightly worn causing a groove which I fell into as I slept.
I liked the area it was in and the decor. The staff were wonderful. The stairs were a bit difficult for me though. I have bad knees and wasn't aware that I'd be climbing up and down so much. Not their fault. I'd say Code Pod Hostel is better for someone in better shape than I am.
Good location, but not worth it.
Location and cost was great. The bathroom looked like it’s seen better days...there were mold growing along the windowsill. Only one toilet for the entire floor. No stairs so you will have to lug your luggage severs flights of narrow stairway. And because it’s location in an alley, expect to be woken up at crack of dawn with delivery trucks, garbage pick up and delivery men rolling bottles of alcohol into neighboring bars.
Great communication with late arrival with Coralie. Friendly staff. Modern facilities. Good location. Good value for money.
Was perfect !
CoDE Loft Edinburgh
Very enjoyable - friendly and extremely helpful staff, great breakfast and the Penthouse was comfortable but a bit warm at night. We stayed at the CoDE Loft Edinburgh. Finally, excellent central location between George Street and Princes Street opposite the Castle.
A little more cleaning in the bathroom and toilets. Otherwise, the dorm was great!
Good value, but bring your earplugs!
This hostel is in a central key section of town with access to many cultural and historic sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The "pods" provided good privacy, and the showers were clean with adequate hot water. Drawbacks - excessive noise outside, so be sure to bring earplugs that are effective (ones provided in pod were not functional for me). Trash truck unloading dumpster adjacent to the hostel leaves quite an odor in the rooms in the evenings - so an air freshener would be helpful. WiFi works well. Overall a good value for people wanting inexpensive accommodations - hope this helps!
First time in pod hostel. Very cheap and would stay there again.
Good hostel in convenient location
We took the penthouse which is an en-suite and was great, staff were friendly and had a very spacious room. Location is also fantastic, would recommend.
I've been so comfortable for two days! Location was perfect. Above all, the staff are really friendly. Next time I come to Edinburgh again, I'll visit here. Thank you:)
If you can use the complimentary earplugs, you will have a perfect time here as other than the emptying of glass bottles into a bin during the night - curtesy of the large pub next door - this place is fabulous. Super cozy and extra clean with great breakfast and amazing staff. Loved the security too with the codes, but do yourself a favour and memorise your code as soon as you get it - someone in my room locked themselves out in the middle of their first night, going for a shower - which are great too btw :)
Amazing!
Perfect location, heart-warming staff, and capsules with cleanliness and privacy
Not suitable for business trips
1. Nice dish washing experience with ~£75per night 2. No TV Service. I should get a refund back 3. One Light was told to be repaired, but they forgot like TV to repair. 4. Didn’t clean even I told you can clean one day as I was staying for 3 days 5. Hand shower was leaking water. 6. Heater in the toilet was not working.
Nice stay
The staff are genuinely nice and will stop in their tracks to help you out. They offer amazing recommendations on what to do, where to eat, thereby making your trip to Edinburgh more interesting. The pods are very clean and relatively spacious. The piece of chocolate upon checking in is a nice touch. It’s about a five minute walk from Waverley Station and a ten minute walk to the castle, which makes it very central. I’d stay here again.
Trendy, Great Location.
Very trendy. Great location. The showers were out of order on my floor. IF they'd been working, there was one restroom, which included 2 showers, one sink and one toilet all in the same room, which was a bit awkward for privacy. The toilet stall was tiny, but was the only place to dress in privacy. The beds are in nooks with curtains, which are cool, but also became a bit hot. Also, reception leaves at 8:00 p.m., which I didn't know, so could not get a towel.
This facility is a hostel, but beds are separated into small compartments. It is pretty similar to Japan's "capsule hotel". So, I was able to sleep well.
Great experience
The environment in the hostel is great. It has a clean shared washroom and bathroom. The sleeping area is clean as well. However, as the hostel is located at a bar area, it is kinda noisy outside the windows at night. The problem is that if I close the windows, the sleeping area gets too warm.
August getaway
This was my first visit to a hostel and I can honestly say I will return. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is very clean and tidy and maintained excellently. The bed was comfortable and the pods are of a decent size. Showers and toilets were spotlessly clean. Rafy is a real delight, she is so welcoming. I can’t wait to visit again!
Nice location
Less than 5 mins walk from the drop off point of the airport shuttle. Staff were friendly, helpful, nice and informative. The only problem is probably there’s no lift in the building, but staff are willing to help out with bringing up the luggage. Hostel is located in the city center and almost all attractions are walkable distance from the hostel. The room, common area and shared bathroom are clean. Buffet breakfast is a plus. Overall an amazing hostel. Highly recommend.
"Japanese" style in the heart of European City
This is unique hostel. Beds are similar to Japanese capsules. Very modern and newly renovated hostel. Nice lounge music on the background. Very contemporary décor and stainless steel. Electronic/code entrance into each room. Bed sheets are made for you by staff which is nice. Small "WELCOME CHOCOLATE" on each bed - nice! They can do laundry for you --the whole bucket for only 5 Pounds. Right next to great Irish pub and in the middle of the city. Easy walk to everything. Bunch of restaurants in 10-20 feet/meters away. WIFI is stable and works great. Cons/areas of improve: No place to sit down in the room -- no chairs or benches so you must sit on the floor. Breakfast could certainly be improved and its very basic. Make sure to check in before 8 pm. Only one toilet per floor connected to showers. Special THANKS to Quentin and Franchesa --- staff at the hostel. They run the place very good and are very friendly and helpful!
Great Hostel. Good location close to the Waverley train station and other attractions such as Edinburgh Castle and Arthur's seat. Loved the privacy the curtains added to the bunks.
great stay!
During my 2-night stay, I met 4 staff members and all of them are incredibly helpful and friendly. The male staff at the night shift welcomed me nice smiles, one of them led me to the dorm and even taught me how to use the locker. The female staff at the morning shift are very friendly and it made my stay very enjoyable. The cubicle is good and it fits a 5'3 inches Asian female very well. The shower room is clean and the water is hot enough for a relaxing shower. The only negative thing is that it is very noisy at night as a bar is just right below the hostel. Thanks for the ear plugs!
BEST hostel, EVER!
Worth the price! It is between a hotel and a hostel, you get the comfort of a hotel with the price of a hostel. This is a very well managed hostel, where you don't even need to bring any keycard to access to your room, on top of it, the breakfast was great! It was just, great!
I had a very pleasant stay at the CODE. Just a wee walk from the main train station and looking at about 15 mins from Royal Mile! The bed was comfortable(for what you pay for) and the toilets and shower area were clean. I was lucky that there were no noisy neighbors! Overall, a pleasant positive experience
Bliss
It's the best place to stay in Edinburgh. Plenty of opportunities to chat in any language. Good central location near old town.

Convienent location with friendly staff and clean room
