Cíbolo has always been one of my favorite places and it remains so. The owner continues to make improvements and adding amenities so that it remains super luxurious Texas style. We loved our stay!!
A beautiful, historic property which is a fabulous place. Quiet, wonderful landscapes, the cleanest starry skies. Every employee went out of their way to make our stay a first rate experience.
We enjoyed our time here so much. The staff is so kind. The food was very good, but pricey. The surrounding area is beautiful. I loved eating at family tables! Met a lot of great folks. Take a book because you’ll have a lot of downtime. Rest and enjoy!
I can’t say enough great things about this place, but I especially want to Say that the team that currently works there are so kind and friendly. From check-in, to meals, & check out was a wonderful experience. We traveled with our toddler and they helped us with accommodating our needs with him. We even got a little caught for him to sleep on at night at no additional charge that he loved as “ his bed”. We will be coming back & staying at this beautiful resort with even more beautiful staff members.
We loved the property and the experience. We would return because it was so unique and beautiful.
The property is beautiful, tranquil and historic. It had wildlife, and the most gorgeous black night sky.
This amazing remote resort was the perfect place for us to unwind. They have a wide variety of activities to choose from, and we had all our meals at the facility. We had fun any other guests. It was a fun and memorable trip. We will be back.
Highly recommend
Most amazing place relaxing amazing facilities and incredible staff
Couple’s Getaway
This was the most incredible getaway. It was just me and my boyfriend. We wanted a few days to getaway and spend time together. He was working in midland in the oil fields and I came to visit him from Austin. Our time spent here was great quality time. Having our meals with the other guest was a great experience. The safari ride was beautiful and educational. We will definitely come back here.
Beautiful location, property. Quiet, peaceful. So many activities and very helpful, accommodating staff. Outstanding cuisine. Will definitely return.
West a Texas Quiet
Wonderful relaxing and peaceful. Food was excellent
It is in the middle of nowhere, 33 miles from the nearest town, so that when you get there you are locked in, in a sense. That became a good thing. There is one common parking area which was a pain for me as our room was almost as far away as possible. I have a bad back and the walking surfaces are loose, small pea gravel, which is difficult for me to walk on. There are no TVs in the rooms, but a common TV room. We never got there and found that not having a TV was very nice, as we were tired of watching Trumps' impeachment. The dining staff was wonderful. There was only one other couple on site while we were there, and they turned out to be delightful. We had two breakfasts with them and two dinners, plus two cocktail times before dinner. We think we made some new friends who don't live that far from us.
Escaping the Metroplex
A spur of the moment escape. We found a room at the Cibolo Creek Ranch and booked it. No real research or search. We booked the humvee ranch tour for the morning after our arrival. Our guide, Jose, did an excellant job and put us on some great views, mule deer, javelina, elk, oryx and blue quail. The indian pictographs were cool and the old homesteader houses were neat. The service was great, everyine was very hospitable. We would love to return.
Cibolo is in the middle of nature, far off the main road between Marfa and Presidio. There is an absence of TV and other electronic distractions. The environment suggests that one look of nature, the clouds, the expansiveness of the land. The family style dining promotes congenial conversations and to meet other guests. For me, it’s the place to go to recharge and to recenter.
Liked staff, serenity of it all, great climate, great food. A fabulous place. Would go back in a minute. Beautiful scenery. Resort just getting a tiny bit rough around the edges. Could be corrected easily. Too many “we use to’s.”
It is probably the most representative structure in Texas of living a true ranch experience. The people are exquisite and very welcoming. Conviviality is the word that best represents the place, they booked dinner for us at a table shared with other guests with whom they chatted pleasantly all evening. A unique place that was a pleasure to get to know.

Amazing, once in a lifetime experience at this place. It is like staying on a private ranch, and you quickly become like family with the other people staying there with the communal style dining. The food is freshly made and there is no experience like this
