A very convenient choice near the station with convenient parking nearby. Small but stylish rooms. The public areas are starting to look a bit weathered - but still a good value

Great modern facility within short walk from Santa Maria Novella railway station. Clean, modern, great breakfast options and a very professional and friendly staff.

This property is in a gritty part of Florence, which to me is a gritty town.

Shower with couple of hairs Bath with some leak, the staff solved both problems but was a bad first impression for the hotel Bath with uncomfortable door for small room

The breakfast was excellent and staff were caring. The sewer outside stinks up the place and vultures swarming outside are very annoying by the train station.

Centrally located, spotlessly clean and helpful staff, it’s a great place to stay to explore Florence plus easy to get the bus or train for adventures further afield. Despite the “soundproofed” rooms claim, they’re not and the noise from the road is also high at times. The bar was shut a number of evenings and don’t bother with a balcony unless you just want to smoke outside.

Clean and modern hotel just steps away from the main train station. Also easy location to walk into the main town and not far from the Duomo. Room was clean and stylish, loved the vibe of the hotel and really enjoyed my stay!

Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The hotel has excellent location. Staff is very friendly, and passionate. Breakfast is good. However, the room condition is not up to standard esp the bathroom, and it’s smelly. Most importantly, the door lock requires special attention to lock properly, otherwise it cannot be locked. Our room door was locked when we went out, however, it was not locked properly by the hotel staff after clean-up. This will cause safety issue that made us feel unsecure.

Dirtiest hotel ever! The rug under the bed is insane dirty! The pillows and bedding smell awfully smelly! The room has cheap fragrance ! Will never visit again! Give me my money back!

Location was great. Walking distance to train station. Room was a nice size but no tub. Shower was tiny. Shower was dirty and moldy. Breakfast was decent. Would not stay here again.

Excellent hotel in Florence. Rooms were large for the city, staff were very friendly. Hotel is directly across from the central station. Would recommend, as it is very easy to get to and from central station.

We were checked in by a very kind gentleman who also spoke Spanish and English , making it a comfortable and memorable experience.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were impressed by some perks in our room that we didn’t expect. The staff at the front desk and at the bar were all very friendly. Most especially the one attending to us at the bar. The room for 3 people was so nice and we loved they layout. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful oasis in Firenze

Excellent choice a stone's throw from the train station and the tram to the airport. The area looks busy, but the hotel offers a relaxing and welcoming accommodations, very modern, clean, with excellent staff at the front desk (best team I encountered in my last 10-12 travels) Very professional, perfect english. The "library" with coffee/tea/juices/cakes is a very nice touch. Would happily stay there again

There is a famous Florence T bone steakhouse right cross the street. Within 3 mins walking to the train station

Convenient and comfortable

We really enjoyed this hotel. Breakfast was outstanding the young woman who mostly ran. It was amazing. Everyone at the reception desk were incredible lovely lounge area close to everything including the train station.

Great Hotel in a Convenient Location

A great little gem close to the train station and famous Santa Maria Novello Pharmacy! Clean and comfortable rooms. Bed was soo comfortable!

We had an excellent experience. Lovely staff catered to our dietary requirements for breakfast. Hotel is nice and clean, located in good location. The only negative is rooms are small, there was no wardrobe for clothes.

Checked in around 13:00; room was ready. Got an upgrade in a larger room on the ground floor by reception as the hotel was full. Welcoming staff. Comfy bed, quality linen. One problem detected around midnight was the A/C was not working. We contacted the reception and they verified it without any luck. Hotel full, couldn’t relocate us. They proposed to leave the window opened and plugged in a mosquito repellent as window was left opened. Happy , our stay was for only 1 night. But overall the place was great.

Not enough space

Our stay was a good experience, big trouble were room dimensions (much smaller than stated in the web site), it forced us to open and close our baggage many times, there was not enough room to have an open baggage and circulate in the room. Another problem: there was no space in the closet for the clothes.

Don't make the same mistake we did

Terrible one night stay at this hotel in September. It is definitely not a 4 star, do not waste your money. Our AC did not work the entire night, we were basically in a hot box and got no sleep. We were up past midnight dealing with the front desk, trying to get a refund so we could book somewhere else but they said they weren't authorized because the hotel manager was away on vacation. I emailed the hotel manager the following week to express our disappointment with our stay and she responded by gaslighting me and telling me there was no problem and the AC had been fixed earlier that evening. So ridiculous.

Great staff and closer transportation

Easy walk from SMN station. Close to many restaurants and an easy walk to the river or central Florence. Fantastic staff at breakfast and also at reception. Clean spacious room with a large window. Only request would be for some English TV channels

not a 4 star hotel

We were very unhappy with our stay. Air conditioning was not working in any of the rooms and the staff on hand were incapable of providing proper assistance. We had a horrible night’s rest in the heat. We paid 4 star hotel prices for a 2 star stay.

Great at hotel! Very clean. Don’t do your laundry there they charge so much! There’s a cute laundry place literally right around the corner that was great and a fraction of the price the hotel was charging. We dropped off our laundry in the morning and could pick it up anytime before 5.

Staff went above and beyond to handle all the requests you had. They all spoke to you every time they saw you. Location was brilliant as you could walk everywhere. Will most definitely stay here again

A really convenient, modern and relaxed vibe to the hotel, a 15/20min walk to the Duomo and beyond to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. Lots to see and do, walks, shopping, eating and drinking and the best gelato at Le Sorbetteria. The Joy hotel was clean accessible to everything you wanted to see as well as being 3 minutes from the train station, they offer you complimentary coffee, water and juices during the day on arrival as well as some sweet treats too. The rooms are modern well kept and bedrooms and beds tidied on a daily basis. Perfect

It was a great hotel. It was clean and well thought out.the only concern is the area outside the hotel, which has many smokers and just people waiting for the bus... but it's not the hotels fault at all. Otherwise, was amazing!

I absolutely loved my stay at C-Hotels Joy. The staffs are very accommodating and ensured our stay was as pleasant as possible. Even tried to help us when we had questions about bus routes going out of Florence. We appreciate everything they’ve done for us during our stay. We liked that it’s conveniently by the train station, walking distance to shopping district, as well as restaurants.

Half block from Florence train station, super convenient! Staff are very friendly and helpful! The breakfast worths a five star rating! It offers a good variety of foods to choose from, and the decor and setting of breakfast lounge comfortable! Room is a bit small, but it is acceptable!

Room was decent except the air conditioner doesn’t work that well. That’s to be expected across Europe however, our hotel in Rome, Venice, Amsterdam and Paris had great AC systems. Florence was one of the hotter destinations so not having good AC was hard. The area is in an ok area but you’ll notice not so great characters around as it’s near the train station. It is easy to get to popular destinations such as the duoma. Just be mindful of scammers. You will know who they are in the area.

The staff was amazing! The hotel was spotless. The air conditioning was cold. Close to Firenze Centrale for train traveling.

Liked the room. Tv is old and would be better if it had Netflix. The room was very hot. Didn’t feel like the AC worked at all. Would not recommend due to it being so warm

Excellent property, air conditioning working perfectly and under my control. The only drawback was a very poor and weak Wi-Fi signal. Also, the neighborhood could be pretty intimidating at dusk...but plenty of Police in the area near the train station

Small rooms, very small shower and dirty carpet. But the hotel is located walking distance from the train station making it an ideal location. The staff were amazing and helpful and the breakfast buffet was one of the best across my time in Italy.

The hotel was clean, and easy to get to. You have good space and all facilities were clean. I however would have enjoyed of either a coffee machine or a simple kettle. All my activities were late so i did not wanted to wake up only for the breakfast.

Perfect stay

Highly recommend this hotel! It has a great location just across from the train station but is on a quiet street. It's within walking distance to all the main sights and is very clean and modern. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel felt safe and had all the amenities needed.

It is very convenient for transportation and close to the train station. The hotel is trendy, but the rooms are small and we had an upgraded comfy room . I’m not sure if that’s just Florence in general? The staff was wonderful.

The carpet under the bed and the bathroom were dirty.

The people at the front desk checking us in were very friendly and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome! On arrival a nice woman got our room ready an hour earlier than required. Also a very nice man got us ice from the kitchen downstairs even though he didn’t need to. Very accommodating!!!

Nice decent boutique hotel

Everything was nice in the hotel. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Greets you when you walk pass the reception. Nice and decent breakfast Room was quite spacious for a boutique hotel. We were offered an early check-in when we arrived at 12noon. One thing for improvement is the cleanliness on floor, as there was some obvious dust on floor.

A brief stay at this hotel, which is a tram ride away from the airport. It was a pleasant stay. It is close to the train station. You can walk to tourist attractions from the hotel.
