Great location!

Room was clean but small. Needs better chairs to relax in with a larger table.

This is a charming beachie property that is easy walking distance to the beach. Comfy beds. They provide beach parking. The beach is walkable and there is enough beach to hang out all day. The lobby area that holds the breakfast area is charming and I would call the breakfast continental plus. There are some seating areas spread around the motel/cottage settings. The lobby hostesses were helpful and friendly. Haversham’s Tavern has delicious food and it’s a short drive to a couple of the Troll sculptures. Just a great discovery all around.

One night stay. Off season. Quiet. Short walk to beach. Large property well kept. Nice breakfast area with basic selection.

Only negative was no microwave in room, but was available in breakfast room.

It was an enjoyable stay and we appreciated having a beach belonging to the resort! It must be very accommodating to the summertime guests! Everyone was very hospitable and we enjoyed the area.

From the manicured lawn and flower plantings to the bright, clean rooms, I was very pleased with my stay. Bonus was the closeness to beach and running each morning at sunrise along the bike/walk path was a great way to start the day. Breakfast was also an added bonus. I would definitely return.

Quaint renovated hotel with beautiful grounds.

We stayed in a handicapped accessible room. It was comfortable and accessable. My only issue was with the sandy floor. It didn’t look dirty but the grit was gross. Cleaning staff need to vacuum and mop the floor. The rest of the room and the facility was well kept. The pool was lovely as were the many flower boxes .

The place was beautiful, I felt comfortable and relaxed , close to the beach.

The Breezeway has beautiful grounds, meticulously maintained. The location is very close to the beach and restaurants.The staff is very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We have stayed there twice and will stay many more times.

We love the area of Gloucester. The hotel was conveniently located and away from the hustle and bustle. We were disappointed in our room. There was a mildew odor and the sink was clogged. They amenities were meager. Pool was lovely but not enough chairs. The breakfast needed a little more variety. Pool table needed pocket repairs. We don’t get a coffee refill for our second night in room. The grounds were well manicured. And the view of the ocean incredible. Staff not terribly helpful with where to go and what to do.

We enjoyed the hotel and area very much. It was our first visit to this area and we look forward to returning.

All staff was kind. Property was clean. Only downfall would be pool towels and room towels as well. Not a big thing. I would definitely return

Great Stay for Families

Great place for families. The parking at the beach is simple and a game changer. Staff was extremely friendly. The property is well maintained and clean. I would recommend for anyone looking to travel with kids to stay here! The pool is a great way to end the day after the beach.

Very nice

Very nice stay. Everyone pleasant. Beautiful area. Nicely done continental breakfast. The private beach is short ride or 15 min walk but keeps you out of traffic, is beautiful, has a lifeguard and has free parking.

Not worth the money!

The king room was tiny and only 1 night stand.poolmshould b open later for adults to enjoy.not enough parking spots for all rooms and only 1 handicap spot.Not a good value for this hotel.breakfast was rough even to get coffee and make a bagel.Beach was filthy.tampon applicator on the beach!

Though they offered bikes and outdoor games, this was more like a motel than a 'resort'. The rooms were clean and roomy. The beach is not accessible from the property.

I stayed in the Maria cottage, it was very very clean and perfect in every way. I have driven by the Breezeway Resort many times in my way to the beach and for whatever reason never noticed it, glad I finally did! This will be a place I will come back to again and again.

Great location and not too far from the beach. Nice private beach- once you get to the beach lot there are several places to eat and go for a walk.

The property was manicured very neat and clean. The inground pool was clean and very neat. The rooms were one of the cleaners facilities that we stayed in over the last several years. All in all it’s a very, very nice place and I will be returning in years to come. Truly a jewel. Sincerely, Roger Livingston

Quiet & Chill

Nice private beach!

Overall, our stay at Breezeway was great. The pool area was very clean, reception was clean and welcoming, the private beach was outstanding! The bathroom in our room was very small and really only accommodated one person at a time (no room for doing hair!) Our only complaint was the couple in the room next to ours were smokers and spent most of everyday sitting on the "balcony" smoking. This meant whenever we came up the stairs or opened the door to our room, we were inundated with smoke. Staff were wonderful and responsive, overall, we would probably go back.

The private beach access is just AMAZING! The room we stayed in was clean, very basic. The access to the pool was great. We only stayed one night, but were able to get two full days out of the stay with breezeway giving access to beach pass and pool key as early as 7 am on check in day. Had a great get away!

Very cute with beach acess

Property is kept in pristine condition. Well landscaped. Flowers, water fountains. Pool kept clean. Above deck just for adults for quiet time. Room good size. Private beach was a big plus for us. It was clean and close to hotel, walkable, bathroom for our use. Staff was very helpfull and informative, and also very respectful. Will definitely be going back there. Perfect location.

Had a great stay at Thje Breezeway!

It is very clean, very quiet, close to everything still, and the property is very pretty and unique with nice sitting areas and fountains.

The hotel was adorable, Very clean and bright. The main office even had board games if you wanted. We had access to parking as well as passes to the beach. Very clean and nice grounds.

Clean nice room

Very helpful and friendly staff. Loved having the breakfast and coffee each morning until 10:30. Just wish the check-in time was a little earlier.

Property is nice and clean, the rooms as well. However for the price I paid I could have been on the beach. Property promotes that it’s a beach hotel but it’s a 10min walk through residential streets to get to the beach. I wouldn’t call this a resort a motel for sure but a well maintained motel. Probably won’t be back due to the price.

Easy to walk to the beach, also they gave us a bracelet for the privet beach parking which was easy.

The property has a lush grass, fountaings, an amazingly warm heated pool with a deck and chairs/tables. We stayed in the main building with a pool view right next to the back door to the office which served a continental breakfast of bagels, muffins, cereal, english muffins, hard boiled eggs, milk, OJ, coffee, tea, etc. The room smelled so very clean upon entry and the toilet was sealed. It was very very clean. We had a studio with a fridge and microwave. A coffee pot in that room would have really been nice. There was a hairdryer and iron however. TV channels not that great - wish hotels would upgrade to better cable/TV service in general but who watches TV much when your near the beach! We also had our own private parking lot at the beach half mile away with our own private roped off beach (right across from their other place Hotel Maria) There is a bathroom right there on the lot and food places all over. I had scallops and clams from a local shake - amazing and fresh. The parking lot seemed open at night for star gazing on the beach. The staff was friendly at every interaction and always helpful. Beach towels provided at pool and the beach which was great! We look forward to going back again soon when the water is a bit warmer - the heated pool saved us when we wanted to swim since the ocean was a bit too cold for us! On the way out we visited Mystic and ate at the Engine Room which was great. We had a wedding to attend so also Kudos to Stongington Vineyards!

We enjoyed the heated pool and having a private patio. The grounds are well maintained. It feels like you are at a resort even though you are in a residential area. The hot water took quite a while to come up and we would have liked a larger kitchenette. The king bed was comfortable and the room was very clean.

Beautiful grounds, quiet, clean, nice rooms

Excellent stay

First time staying at The Breezeway and nothing but IMPRESSED by the perfection of the grounds. The rooms are modern and immaculate. The FREE continental breakfast was A and FREE parking at the beach 5 mins.away. You will NOT be disapointed in any way. Thanks to the STAFF for working so hard!

Our stay was exceptional from the moment we checked in. The staff were so very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, they made sure it was always perfect. The hotel and grounds were impeccably kept. We are so very happy with our stay and will definitely return!

Family summer getaway

Fantastic, clean, well maintained property with excellent staff. 5-7 minute walk to a beautiful private beach. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Our room smell on bleach, couldn't sleep, got headache.

The place is beautiful. Very clean, staff is extremely friendly and professional. Close to the beach with private beach access courtesy of the resort. The resort also has a pool for guests to use. The rooms are cleaned daily. Would highly recommend. Very reasonably priced compared to other places in the area. You get a lot for your money. Also, the resort is family oriented, so a wonderful place for families with children.

This property is very clean and the staff here are very friendly! We will definitely be back next year. The only issue is parking! I’m not sure if there’s not enough or cars that shouldn’t be parked in the lot park there. But 2 of our the 6 nights I couldn’t get any parking. I went to the office and they accommodate me quickly! If you want a nice peaceful place to stay..definitely book here!

It was an amazing beach hideaway. Very clean and cozy, and just a short walk from a beautiful beach! It was also so nice to have a section reserved for hotel guests.

The pictures don't do this place justice! It is the cutest place to stay and really made our vacation. I don't think I have ever stayed in a cleaner hotel, with nicer staff. The grounds were immaculate and beautifully maintained which added to the ambiance. We stayed here with a group of people and we all commented on how comfortable the beds were. Even the pullouts were comfortable! It's also within walking distance from all the shops and the beach, but we chose to drive to the beach. Free parking and private beach were a great perk! There's also private bathrooms for guests to use. We came to the area for an event that was canceled at the last minute. We tried to cancel our reservation, but were unable to understandably. We decided to still go and make the best of it. It ended up being one of our best family vacations yet and a lot of it had to do with the Breezeway. The entire group we were with are already trying to plan when we can come back!

Short walk or drive to.private beach

Close to beach; had a dedicated area for Breezeway guests, with free parking. Small pool, always filled with young children, so we didn't have an opportunity to use it.

I like how close the hotel was to the beach and how clean they keep the property lovely place to stay. The one minor thing I have to say is that it will be nice to have options for a hot breakfast

I loved my stay so much! My room was ready earlier than excepted which was such a nice surprise. The room was absoulety spotless, one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Check in took less than 5 mins. The private beach access was one of my favorite parts. Super secure with key access to get in,plently of parking as well and private bathrooms on site. I was traveling alone and never once did I feel unsafe. The whole resort itself was so peaceful and pretty. The heated pool was a nice touch since I went in early June. If i really had to nit pick , I stayed in couples row which is right in front of the resort and office, and the windows didnt have any type of tint to them so I keep the curtains drawn the whole time bc guest could see directly into your room. But other than that small detail. This was one of my favorite stays ! And will definietly be back!

Perfect beach getaway

This place is perfect for a beach getaway. It’s close to everything but quiet when you want to be away from the crowds. It’s so well maintained and the staff is super friendly!

Property was very well kept. Close to the beach so you can walk to local restaurants in good weather.

Beautiful

Always wanted to stay here. Everything is very clean. Loved being close to beach but still having a pool for a dip. Continental breakfast had lots to offer. We will be back

Very nice, clean and well maintained property. The room was great and we enjoyed having beach access available - we went Friday afternoon/evening and we were the only ones on the Breezeway beach area. Breakfast was very good. We liked having the option of eating at the breakfast area, or bringing back items to our room. The pool was very clean, as was the area around it.

Fun at the Breezeway

Staying at the Breezeway was a last minute decision and it was an AMAZING decision. The Resort was super clean and the rooms smelled of cleanliness. The pool was clean and at a comfortable temperature. The beach area was wonderful and a short walk or drive away. It was a clean area and had a lifeguard on duty which was nice. The two things we did not like was the water pressure in the shower (they said they would take a look at it) and the keys to get into the pool area didn't work that well. They got stuck in the lock and wouldn't turn. All in all we loved the Breezeway Resort and are already planning our stay for next year.

Hidden Gem

This place is a hidden gem! Quiet, clean and so family friendly. The grounds were beautifully maintained. I’ve never stayed so close to the beach and had such a clean, sand-free room! The private beach with keycard access to a private parking lot was such a treat. 10/10 would recommend!

The grounds and rooms were very well kept. Only issue the room had a dehumidifier for moisture in the bathroom which ran non stop.

A new tradition...

Great location, very nice room, a great heated pool, and very friendly, accommodating staff. We loved the private beach and the bikes the hotel had for guests. We will be back regularly.

The property was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is the perfect place for a beach and pool vacation.

This was our second stay here. We love the staff! The rooms are updated and very comfy! Beautiful bathrooms and a refrigerator in the room! Good size closet and plenty of drawer space! The breakfast is plentiful and the coffee is good! Also love the private beach area. No hassle parking! Just a few minutes away. We will be going back next season!

Lovely! Super clean, but cold front desk staff

This is my second stay here. The grounds are lovely, it’s quiet and relaxing. The rooms, while tiny, are super clean, they do a great job with that. The breakfast is free and is decent for a free breakfast. It’s family friendly and they keep the pool at a nice, warm temp. I would absolutely recommend it for a little getaway. The complaints I have are really policy and service related. 1. Even though the hotel wasn’t full and there were plenty of parking spots, you must pay $20 for a second car to park. There are plenty of spots, so it doesn’t feel fair. 2. The front desk staff is not warm. I booked a second night and there was a mistake between a king and queen bed price of $10 on hotels.com vs their price. The hotel was pretty empty and they were really going to have me move to an entire new room, for $10! I’m a repeat customer and have also stayed at their sister hotel The Maria. I could understand if the hotel was sold out, but it was pretty empty that night and with the high summer rates, you’d think the $10 would be a non issue if you want to build customer loyalty.

Wonderful place, great location and extremely friendly staff!

The hotel was really well kept with nice rooms and thoughtful touches. They gave you pool towels in a canvas tote. We used the beach after we checked out and could have arranged for a place to shower if needed. Private beach was great. Very family friendly.

My wife and I stayed with our two boys and could not have had a better time. Everything was great from the service to the rooms. We especially loved the pool! We will definitely be coming back again!

This place was wonderful! We stayed for two days and while the pool looked nice we never used it because the beach was soooo close. The staff was phenomenal: friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and cozy. The grounds were very well kept! We loved the private beach parking and bathroom - right there!!! This is a must stay!!!

Everyone was very friendly, room was very clean, and a few blocks from the beach. You have access to beach / parking through a key card which also has its own bathrooms and shower. Can’t ask for anything better. We didn’t use the pool but it looked wonderful.
