Value for money.
A very nice, basic hotel. Rooms are clean but need some updating. Good value for money.
Quiet, relaxing place in a great location
I loved this place and felt very relaxed. Reception made me feel very welcome. The layout is a bit unusual, however clearly in fitting with the local environment. It was very clean and well equipped. My apartment was maybe a little smaller than some of the other Adagio apartments I have stayed in, however okay. It was very quiet. It is within 5 minutes walk from a frequent bus service and within walking distance to the Parc Vauban and the Citadelle . The only negatives was that the internet was very slow and I was unable to do some of the things I wanted to do, however not a problem on this occasion. It would be on another. The other negative was the lighting when you came out of the lift. It was very unnerving to come out of the lift into pitch black and not be able to find the lights and the one by my apartment didn't work. This really needs to be sorted.
Not far from city centre. Reception manned most of the day. Free coffee machine available throughout day. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Free off road street parking nearby.
Great value central hotel
Very central hotel, easy to walk to everything. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean (saw lots of cleaning going on while there). Bed very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped, had everything I needed. On the downside, location of room was not great - ground floor, high wall opposite so dark, no view and on a walkway with people walking past the window. Quite noisy at night with doors banging and other unidentifiable noises. But overall very good value and a pleasant stay.
Comfortable fully-equipped residence
Clean and well equipped suite with comfortable bed and full kitchen! I can imagine myself staying here longer. Highly recommend this place!
Lille
Cheap clean and friendly good location and price to a charming french town
Bad nights rest
Upon arrival we asked for quiet room, staff could not find the keys to our room and moved us with “ this is a better room”. I asked when shown the room that this is on the main walkway and would be noisy, was advise it would be quiet. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong, the noise started at 10.00pm and continued all night with people returning from their night out and then leaving in the morning, it sounded as though a jet engine was right outside the window. Do not recommend this hotel if you want a nights rest.
Good enough
The people from the hotel are really nice, they have free coffee and tea almost all day which is a very nice thing. The room is enough for having a good stay. The only tiny problem was that we ran out of toilet paper and soap and as they dont clean the bedroom until the check out we covered it.
Lille
Staff were very friendly but due to the heat and noise outside didn’t sleep well
Overall good room, although ventilation was an issue (no a/c). There was also no free wi-fi available. However, served purpose of stay, which was just as a place to sleep.
Just about did the job
We were met by a very friendly man on reception, and in fact all contact we had with staff (minimal) was great. Warm, friendly and helpful. We put the car in the garage (extra charge) which was secure and had plenty of space. There was free street parking in the locale but we had a lot of bags to stay in the car and we didn't want to risk it. The rooms are in various blocks, as previous reviews have said it is a bit like student digs or a youth hostel. For a family with young children (8 And 6) who were hardly in the room it was more than adequate. Pros- shutters to make the room dark. Comfortable beds, nice linen and towels. Spotless kitchenette and bathroom, fridge, table and chairs for breakfast. Sofa bed was a reasonable size for two adults, sliding door between bedroom and lounge gave privacy. Garage. Staff. Cons- smelt kind of funky all the time, even after windows left wide open. I think it was the carpet. Room very dated, torn net curtain, broken sliding door, carpet was dubious. Weird neighbours were banging doors all night long, heaven knows what they were up to. It did wake me up. No aircon. It was very hot but we coped, this wouldn't be an issue year round as Windows open properly. Some street noise, not all rooms face the street. It was clean. I would NOT recommend to others I know but I would stay again. It suited us, it might suit you. NOTE- It is not like other adagio I have stayed in.
City Break
very good and convenience in location and value, with parking in the underground.
Very good value for >1 night
We had four nights in Lille so the kitchenette in this room was a plus. Restaurants are very expensive in France. The room was quite big by European standards and the wifi was very good, except in the evening. The location is a bit outside the historic centre of town but only a 15 min walk from it. It is a quiet street but only two blocks from a good restaurant/bar area.
functional hotel, good location
Easy check in. easy parking on the street nearby, staff very helpful and welcoming. Quiet location, easy access to city.
Perfect position to explore Lille
Superb hotel for our 3 day visit to Lille, I would have no qualms of staying here again, the staff were very helpful, no language barrier, perfect stay for us "THANK YOU"
Excellent value for money.
Room was surprisingly large. Kitchenette rather compact but had everything we needed for making breakfast and simple meals (and washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel provided!). No complaints. Some aspects of room could do with being improved upon in due course but really nothing wrong with it and very good value for the money.
Good place to stay!
Nice area but quite away from the main part of the old town. A lot of nice restaurants in this area though and in fact the best meals we had were all within 5 minutes walk of Adagio. The room we stayed in was clean. The bathroom was a bit dark - could do with a change of the type of lighting used. Other than that, for the price we paid we would definitely recommend the place!
FRIENDLY STAFF, COSY BUDGET HOTEL
Friendly and very helpful staff made stay excellent. Cosy room but clean and comfortable. Excellent location as easy to walk into city centre (20 mins) or use bus stop opposite (5 mins). I left my iPad behind and they sent it back to me in the UK free of charge (for which I am very thankful!).
University area
I was spending time in Lille to find a relative buried at a War Cemetery close to a nearby village, Nieppe. So this location gave me access to public transport and other amenities. However what is not properly explained in the blurb online is that this area is predominately housing for the nearby university with many students staying in these apartments. That means it could get very noisy at night and no sound proofing. They are also quite old and dated. For that reason they are probably a little over priced for the passing tourist.
Weekend in Lille.
A small group of us stayed in Lille over a winter January weekend. The Hotel is a very reasonable walking distance from the center as well as both train stations. The room came equipped with a full size bathroom, and a small kitchen. I would definitly recommend the Aparthotel Adagio due to the price, and distance from all the local amenities.
Saved by the staff
My first impression of the Adagio hotel was "fantastic, will have my own space, kitchen and can enjoy my time Lille". Unfortunately this was short lived. The initial impression of the first room was being hit in the face with the smell of cigarettes. I unpacked my bags, but after an hour, could stand it no more and requested a room change. The always friendly staff gave me access to a new room, this one smoke free and I relocated my belongings. The new room, I was told, was an upgrade. Unfortunately this upgraded room (larger bed) was what seems to be 2 beds placed together and had an uneven seam in the middle, making it difficult to sleep. There were lightbulbs out in the bathroom over the kitchen sink, and the shower head was broken so would not stay up and needed to be held by hand at all times to ensure that it didn't spray outside the shower. The shower space was tiny, and with a shower curtain drawn in with the hot water, there was no way to have a sufficient shower. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful, but beyond that, the hotel (well the two rooms I was in) needs some repair and service.
Very close to the zoo!
Excellent staff, great location and really good room for the price. Really friendly staff and happy to help.
This place is terrible
It feels as if the rooms have not been updated since 1995 other than adding a tiny Samsung TV to the desk. I could feel the springs in my bed, and the bedding was far from new. The "high speed" internet offered for free reminded me of dial up internet from 1995. I paid for faster speed and was still unable to upload a 50mb PowerPoint file, the connection timed out again and again (even tried the lobby area to be sure). There are far better places to stay within the same proximity to this hotel, I highly suggest booking elsewhere.
LILLE CONVENTION
I Liked it very much, the hotel is neat and affordable and very nice people.
not impress
I have to sleep in a very run down sofa bed, on dirty sheets, as we were staying in a room that didn´t have the bed especification I had booked. double bed and two single beds. we didn´t have hot water for showers! my children had to have cold showers, which made them sick. Cooking facilities were good, but next to the only door, I don´t know how they were allow to build the chikens next to the door. The person at the desk was unpleasant and only gave us one key. Maybe the price is cheap, but it says a hotel, I expecte to have hotel services.
Very satisfied
Had a very good stay. The hotel is just a block of small buildings, and the hotel room was very comfy, tidy and clean. Our room was right next to the street without much traffic so it was very quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful, will definitely
Great retreat from the Centre of Lille.
Large apartment, with double bed (very firm materess) in bedroom, and sofa bed in room, (quite comfy). The sofa is the only comfortable seating, but will seat 3. Small kitchen with microwave, fridge and hob. Could do with a kettle and toaster, but boiling the water didn't take long in a pan. no more than a 15 minute gentle walk into the centre of Lille, and even shorter to a bar/restaurant area (right out of hotel, left at junction, and then right at major crossing, 1 junction down). Car park is situated below the hotel 8euros per day, key pad entry, very secure. Very pleasant stay, quiet and relaxing.
Reasonable price, good facilities, close to centre
One night stay. Very handy studio, reasonably priced, 10 minute walk from city centre. Only slight problem with room was that the fan in the bathroom did not switch off, so was a bit noisy overnight. Apart from that everything was good
Great location and complete equipped.
I really enjoyed staying this apt. Very close to city center, stores nearby, easy parking, nice staff service, complete kitchen to prepare meals, fair price.
Great for people travelling on a budget
The location was good, close enough to main attractions. We were about 20 minutes walk from the tourist information office and the centre of town. All of the hotel staff that we met were friendly and polite, and were happy to give us information on some of the quickest ways into town. The apartment itself was okay, though we had a few minor issues; the kitchenette looked clean and well looked after, though the fridge we had looked clean but had a rather off putting smell. The main room was spacious, although the bed was rather uncomfortable and the walls were terribly thin, so some of the louder guests could interrupt sleep; although the hotel does have a policy whereby guests are expected to keep the volume down between the hours of 10pm and 8am. There are no lockers to store luggage between checkout and a later flight or Eurostar departure; however, the desk staff are happy to let you place your luggage in their office, which isn't too bad because there is always someone around.
Best place to stop if you visit your child at lille who is study abroad at Lille university. Rooms have a kittchenet with a refrigerater, a microwave, and stove. Tv internet free of charge.
Very basic accommodation located
Very basic accommodation located just outside the city centre. We had difficulty finding this accommodation, however we arrived late in the evening. The bedroom and bathroom were very dated, and the cleanliness was average. Located in a large apartment block, the accommodation is quiet, however you feel slightly isolated and we would not recommend staying there as a lone traveller. Staff were not particularly helpful, and could not answer basic questions about the city nor order us a taxi. We would not stay in this accommodation again.
This was a cheap and functional
This was a cheap and functional room. It was becoming a little run down but was tidy and clean.
Nice calm space in Lille
Was only here for a day but would happily go back. Free wi-fi included, short walk to the center, and well appointed rooms. Staff were extremely helpful with any and all questions.
useful for the braderie
A very good hotel with basic cooking facilities in each room, hotplate and microwave plus a fridge. Also basis crockery etc but no kettle you have to boil water in a saucepan. Have used hotel before and each time have been very satisfied.
ok
ok
Excellent rooms with kitchenette,
Excellent rooms with kitchenette, all with included cutlery and utensils, very handy for those on a cheap budget. Very clean rooms, maids come once a day. Location was good, short walk from main areas of town.
Very adequate and well located
Hotel is about 15 mins from the Grand Place and about a 25 min from EuroLille. Is along a quiet street and there is a mini market at the bottom of the street and a nice bar just over the other side of the road (Rue Nationale). We walked from Eurolille with a bag each and its a nice walk through the town centre. When we checked out we left our bags in the hotel office and picked them up again in the evening.
Bon rapport qualite prix
One night stand...
A rénover
Bon emplacement, bonnes prestations

Basic but Perfect for our Stay
Basic but perfect for our stay and good price for the Braderie weekend. Gives off university accommodation vibes and little bit tired decoration but large room, working modern lift, big bathroom and well equipped kitchen so would definitely recommend.
