Overall very good stay at Amara Shanghai, with great service from Zero. He was polite and efficient by helping us booking a ride to the Airport. He is indeed a GEMS to the company and he deserve to be awarded. Perfect service!!!

Ioved breakfast buffet and VIP lounge service, Linda Mao is very friendly and helpful. Front desk is friendly as well.

Nice and clean hotel

If Breakfast have more choices will be good.

The location is really convenient for me, close the metro station, close the shopping and all kind of restaurants. The staffs are very nice and friendly. The room is very space, with city view. The breakfast has a lot of choices and they change items daily.

Good...with a few exceptions

Overall, good deal, but we didn't like that the room temperature couldn't be lowered (stuck at 28 & 29 degrees the whole time)...had to sleep on top of our covers most of the night.

It is a brand new hotel. It locates in a dense older neighborhood. The transportation such as for the MTR is quite convenient. You can walk through the neighborhood to the river. The neighborhood is safe but streets' cleanliness may not be in a high standard.

Hotel is very nice and clean. Great location. Close to a lot of restaurants. Metro station is 5 mins away.

Hotel rooms are clean and spacious. Price is reasonable.

Good location, 3 mins walk from bus/ metro station and easy to go to Disneyland/ airport. Though no huge/ signature shopping mall, have basic restaurants at vicinity or take 2-5 metro stations to Starbucks Reserve Roastery or some famous shopping street.

I like the reasonable location, surrounding amenities and shop nearby. I don’t like the cleanliness of the room, there are not even a proper sitting in lobby. It’s apparent after one year of operations there are still area to the overall service not up to mark.

A very well furnished hotel. The room is beautiful and comfortable. Will be back again.

Amara hotel was very nice the staff was outstanding. I read previous reviews before booking with complaints about language barrier. I had absolutely no problem with language barrier. I’m fact I had paperwork that was in Mandarin the staff coordinated a delivery for me as I went out exploring the city for the day. The concierge, front desk, bell staff all superb. I will definitely be back.

No flexibility

Everything was just ok. I booked this hotel again for this year because my first impression was very helpful staffs and kindness, but this year trip was very different. The hotel swimming pool was close for no reason and lobby service was unprofessional. When we had a meeting with our partners in lobby cafe, our staff brought Starbucks coffee from next door to offer my boss and we were also going to order from The cafe. However, the manager came to our table and say our boss can not drink Starbucks coffee because it came from outside of the hotel. I thought it was strange and rude because they were not professional. They could be more accommodated whole situation but they ended up kicking us out of the cafe. It made our partners feel so uncomfortable and upset. I will not book this hotel ever again.

Need better staff

Hotel is pretty new, however, the cleaners are not reliable. I found they don't clean the toilet floor. We used two cups. Both were not cleaned. They left one unclean on the table, one with my lipstick putting back in the drawer. There were lots of staff standing around the lobby. But none of them will greet you. When you ask direction tips, they didn't show too enthusiastic as well.

World Class service from arrival to departure in all sectors of this wonderful organization

Spent one night at the Amara. It is nice and new and about 2km from Shanghai Railway station. I forgot my iPad in my room and called from the train station in the afternoon. The next morning my iPad arrived in Nanjing because the hotel was nice enough to ship it straight to me! That is service people! I recommend this hotel, the pool is being renovated, the rooms are nice, the price is right, even a Thai restaurant on the premises. Brilliant all around! Cheers!

The location is excellent, within 5 mins walk to Metro station. The concierge and reception staff are knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant. The duty manager is responsive..called back very soon after the missed call. They provided assistance very promptly

Amazing New Discovery

The upgraded room was amazing. Comfortable and clean. Will definitely go again.

The staff was great. A nice view from my roof. The room was clean and everything appeared to work. I enjoyed being in my room while in Shanghai.

The room is very comfortable, well designed and a pleasure to stay in. Comfortable bed, restful tub with view of the city. Rainfall shower is also very nice along with the intelligent toilet. I extended my stay in Shanghai because of the hotel and I will be back as soon as possible.

Food not great. Double charged my room stay and it took me 2 months of emails and phone calls to get a refund. Worse part their attitude implied that it was my issue that caused the over charge. Regardless got my money back and will never stay there again.

I was booking on Hotels.com, but when I check in, they said there is no my information, and confirm number is wrong. But finally they find my information, except this check in experience! Everything is good!

The mattress was so hard and not use to it. Not like 5star bed

Professional services received from the hotel staff during my 1week stay. Check in was very smooth. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel concierge was very friendly & helpful.

Hotel facility is good but they block too much website, google etc... And the staffs service quality is so so...

Hotels.com said there was an airport shuttle. This was NOT accurate. No shuttle. 21 miles to Pudong, 45 min to 1 hour, 220 RMB. One of the deciding factors on choosing this location was the shuttle device. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating however their English language skills were sub-par Location was close to the subway

New hotel..Walking distance from mrt. Breakfast is good

Location is good, room is comfortable. But hotel staff really needs more training as their service is definitely not up to mark for a 5-star hotel. Even though we had booked a premier room type, the hotel staff upon our check-in insisted that it was deluxe room based on their records and refused to honour the booking, but advised that we check with Expedia instead.

First time staying at an Amara property. Everything went well; check in was smooth, room was clean and spacious. The hotel gym is large and well equipped, with plenty of weights and machines, not just cardio. Location is also a good one - near the metro and a short cab ride to Nanjing Road / Jing’an Temple area. Lots of local food options nearby too.

Amara Hotel Shanghai

Service was terrible, will never stay in this hotel again. One of worst hotel I ever stay in Shanghai The mini bar is empty when online stated it is free for soft drinks only afer repeated request that they fill it ...

Good hotel, nice rooms, disappointing service

Nice big room (I had the most basic one) with nice bath, amenities and bed. Very good housekeeping. Aircon was a bit loud. Service was disappointing: Almost no one spoke English and when I called I was asked "you speak Chinese?" And when I said no, I got an annoyed sigh - maybe not in the right business to operate an international hotel then... Or you can't order a taxi or so via the phone in the room, because no one will understand; they also refused yoet me order a taxi for the next morning, and told me to just call down an hour earlier (i.e. at 6am), but then didn't understand what I wanted, so I had to run down at 6am etc. So quite many issues with the service that just make you feel very annoyed, especially when you're in a country like China where as foreigner you just often require help... So it's a nice hotel, I liked the room, I could walk to Jingan...but I'm not sure I can recommend it, as I found the service quite lacking. Their staff need a lot of training.

10 nights in Shanghai

A ten night holiday in Shanghai. Excellent room, best bed ever. Great shower and big bath. Didn't eat in the hotel. Gym well equipped but needs managing. We had an issue with the hotel wanting to charge for printing out boarding passes (no printer in the hotel business centre), but no charge was made in the end. Some of the reception staff had very little grasp of English, and we didn't get answers to emails sent before our stay. Hotel very convenient for Changshou Road metro lines 7 and 13, 5 minutes walk. Several convenience stores across the road.

Very good experience at Pullman

Hotel is convenient located, big supermarket next to hotel.Room was clean, spacious, very immaculate condition. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. However, check in girl at the reception was not friendly and we felt like she did a favour to us. This might be a training issue. Customer service needs improvement.Hotel General Manager responded to my feedback which we felt valued. I think Hotel’s GM is a people’s person and I went extra mile to make Customer happy

Disappointing

Staff were poorly trained and most could not communicate in English. Decor was very old fashioned. Overall it's a very china-standard hotel under the guise of a international hotel.

Nice new hotel

The hotel is new and clean, people are very helpful. Will stay again.

The hotel was really nice. I do not suggest ordering room service, the food wasn’t good at all. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is near a subway station, which is two short stops away from the heart of the fashion district.

New hotel, spacious room

The hotel is new, therefore clean. Rooms are spacious. However the bed is so high that I would think it's designed for 2 meter tall people. I forgot to pack my clothes in the wardrobe. The hotel could have informed me during the time when I stored my luggage at the concierge for 1 hour, but they didn't inform me at all. Service level needs to be improved.

A lovely surprise

I was genuinely impressed by the hotel and its amenities. A convenient spot to roam around the city, Soho as the subway is nearby

The hotel is very clean and very modern looking. It's located in a busy area in Shanghai. Tons of restaurants close by, and a shopping mall.

Nice hotel, perfect for business travelers

The hotel is very recent ; rooms are nicely decorated with good size. The staff is friendly. There is a great gym.

Surprisingly good

This booking was a mistake at first coz i was looking for a more closer to city center area. after staying there, i will book this hotel again. its convenient to get to the metro and lots of eats around the area. wonderful and a very good surprise. however the wifi is a little slow. it gets ur emails and text base items done but good enough. probably its China and not the hotel.

Nice

Hotel was clean and well presented. The rooms were very comfortable with good amenities. Staff were polite although seemingly not so knowledgeable of the local area. Menu for room service food was poor with most options not avaialble

Very nice stay

As this hotel is very new, it's in great condition and is very modern. The bed was super comfy and the Premium room we had was spacious. The bathroom was exceptional, especially the bath! The location is fine, 2 mins from the subway and just a few stops from the main sights. It was only around 20 mins to the Bund and 5 mins to Jing'An. Breakfast was a little pricey at CNY168 each but it tasted great with lots to choose from. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Good hotel but few things they need to improve

Everything was great but few things gave us quite disappointment such as their swimming pool was empty and their staff weren’t very professional. The most of staff weren’t able to speak English

New Hotel, worth checking

Excellent value for money. Newly open hotel

The hotel was brand new, it opened a day before I arrived, the staff made my stay very relaxing, The rooms are large and the bed was very comfortable. Despite the snow, it was a convenient location to get a taxi or to access to the subway. I highly recommend it.

這次入住 上海安曼納卓越大酒店 酒店的服務親切，非常得好 特別是 白天禮賓部的Zero Zhang先生 真的非常的親切細心詢問我們班機時間 以及幫我們評估打車費及交通時間 他還用他的手機幫我撥打當地的電話，讓我們能安全的打車 還有在退房前，我們想臨時加熱食物，服務員都能迅速地完成 從來沒有想過飯店的服務可以做到這麼體貼 感覺整個飯店在員工的訓練是非常注重 下次肯定還會再入住

我們在5月27-31日入住，25樓的打掃阿姨非常熱情可愛，房間很整潔乾淨，很容易對塵蟎過敏的我睡了這幾天也完全沒有問題。 前台check in也很流暢有效率，大堂禮賓部服務殷勤。除了滴滴打車的上下車點稍微麻煩之外，這間酒店的性價比很高，景觀也開闊，推薦！

4泊した初日、部屋の匂いが気になったのでルームチェンジを依頼しました フロントの眼鏡の女性が非常に丁寧に接してくれ、翌日会った際にも部屋の快適さを気に掛けてくれました 30階に静かで快適なクラブラウンジがあります 受付の女性二人はとても穏やかで親切です 1名は英語を話さなかったのですが、ちょっとした問題を感じた時に翻訳を使って丁寧に解決を図ってくれました 帰国のためにチェックアウトして駅へ向かう途中に偶然出会ったのですが、その時にも前日の問題を気にしてくれました ホスピタリティの高いスタッフが多かった印象です 秋に再訪したいと思います

毎日清掃が入り、快適に過ごせました！ ただ、コンセントの一部が通電していないのか使えませんでした。延長コードをお借りして、なんとか対処しました。

幅広い朝ごはんと広いお部屋

出張中に使わせて頂きましたがキレイで広く良かった。朝ごはんのバリエーションが多いのも良かった。朝ごはんのコーナーのコーヒーサーバーに外に持ち歩けるペーパーカップがあればなお嬉しかった。

值得再住的酒店

已經第二次入住，環境舒適，大堂有售賣飲品酒類，不用到便利店，而且連接的商場有Starbucks. 房間的燈光全部可獨立調教，浴缸美觀，電動窗簾

フロントの方・レストランの支配人は日本語は話せませんが身振り手振りでご丁寧に接してくれました。部屋も綺麗で気持ち良く眠ることが出来ました。上海に行く時は予約をします。

價錢便宜的五星酒店，離地鐵不遠，早餐挺不錯，整體性價比很高。 缺點/有待改善的地方如下： -我們住無煙房，但房間有小小“煙”味，很可能是中央通風系統問題。

서비스도 친절했고 호텔도 너무 넓고 쾌적했어요 시내로 나가는 접근성은 좀 떨어지지만 숙박하기에는 최고입니다

酒店頗新，房間不大，淋浴間很暗，前台和大堂的服務很好，有主動幫忙提行李。酒店的床很高，而房裡只有一張書桌椅，坐在床上很不方便。早餐沒有白開水，想喝要問侍應拿，有些麻煩。咖啡機也只有一台，也有時失靈。

地鐵站就在附近，靜安寺兩站就到，交通方便，附近吃的也很多，非常棒的地點。飯店蠻新的，所以設備還算新頴，也頗有設計感。

Muy Mala Experiencia en el hotel 2 horas para que me dieran la habitación porque no les había llegado según ellos mail de hotels.com,no se podía dormir por arreglos en el pasillo, por lo cual les pido compensación por los malos ratos pasado en esta reservación.
