Business stay

Hotel and staff are great. Some maintenance going on while I was there. Can get busy and staff may get overwhelmed sometimes. Tuktuk service was not consistent as they only have 1 unit and it was under maintenance some days during my stay.

Stunning hotel! Exceeded my expectations. Beautiful amenities and room, the buffet breakfast is mind blowing! Very close to shopping/transport. It was the perfect hotel to spend a couple nights to shake off my jet lag. Would stay longer next time.

The Hotel is magnificent and walkable to anywhere you possibly want. I came for a physical exam at Bumrungrad, about 50 feet from the Hospital. the place is flawless, for my 10 days there, I didn't experience one negative time. I highly recommend it.

I got a Superior Plus King room and it was spacious, nice, clean, and comfortable to relax. The bed is huge and much bigger than the normal king size and provides comfort sleeping nights. The hotel has beautiful decors and indoor/outdoor dining areas. I did not use the pool but it seemed nice and peaceful. The only draw back is that the hotel is a 10-minute walk to Phloen Chit BTS station and tugged away in a quiet area and the side walk is not an easy task if you have young child/children or for the elderly. However, the hotel does have free shuttle to/from the main entrance of the street, about 3 -5 minutes walk to the BTS station. I did not see any good restaurants near by. Overall, I would stay here again due to its cleanliness, services, staff, beautiful boutique hotel, and comfort room to go back every night.

Excellent Downtown Hotel!!

Excellent hotel in downtown Bangkok although you would never know you were there!

Amazing stay as always!

This is an amazing hotel. It should be rated five stars. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated the breakfast that’s included with lodging It’s amazing. We had breakfast every day at the patio and it was quite the experience. Staff is super friendly and always eager to help you get where you’re going And solve any doubts you may have.

Wonderful hidden hotel especially convenient if you need to visit Bumrungrad Hospital. You can easily walk to the hospital from this location.

Beautiful hidden oasis with a wonderful pool. Lovely guest rooms. Greenery hanging everywhere around the property made sitting outside (with a fine cocktail from the bar) a pleasure. Breakfast was excellent as well. I loved the place!

Breakfast was lovely, esp the unlimited flow of coffee - needed with the jet lag. Our room was nice and spacious, although a little tired. Wish there was a space for more than one suitcase! Location was tucked away, creating a little oasis in the city. Would have appreciated knowing about the complimentary tuk tuk that goes to the main road from the hotel (a couple of mins ride vs the 10-15 min walk!). We discovered it last day when checking out and we used it to transport ourselves and suitcases which was so helpful! Fitness centre was well equipped for a hotel with the basics. Didn’t spend much time at the pool but it looked nice and well kept. Staff were incredibly attentive and helpful.

Tucked away from the main strip of Sukhumvit which is great for some peace and quiet. Easily accessible to all the shops and dining and public transit. The breakfast here is pretty yummy. Room was clean and spacious. Recommend getting a head massage in room — the lady who does it is FANTASTIC!

Service was excellent! Breakfast was extremely good. You get buffet and an ala carte meal. Anything i tried on the buffet tabel was amazing. I was really surprised eith the quality of the pastry. Definitely try those danishes! Also the staff (especially Bank) was really great and helpful during our stay. Loved the complimentary tuk tuk as well!

Peaceful and Convenient

Nice, modern hotel close enough to the action on Sukhumvit but far enough to be quiet and tranquil. Sensor in the room turning on the lights on when you entered was such a thoughtful idea that you wonder why other hotels don’t do the same. Wonderful and attentive staff. Breakfast and dinner options were also very good.

From the moment I walked through the door I was treated with absolute respect. The staff were patient even though I just had a 22 hour commute and 14 hour flight. The stay was excellent and I was able to purchase 2 cups from the hotel which I will enjoy. Always a great group of staff here.

Beautiful small hotel, excellent reception, bar, restaurant area. Breakfast was great! Room was really nice - comfortable and roomy. On the not-as-good side: there is no way to get to the elevator from the drive-up area or lobby without using stairs, which is inconvenient if you have bags (although the porters were excellent!!). There wasn't much in the way of TV channels either, and the TV reception was not very good for several channels. Overall, a really nice hotel, and would definitely stay there again.

We loved the hotel vibe. It looks brand new with a perfect cleanliness. The staff is nice and very helpful. Room size is great, facilities are amazing especially the pool. We loved the location which is 10mins walk to BTS. Breakfast choice and service can be improved

Excellent hotel. Je suis arrivé de bonne heure car mon vol arrivait tres tôt le matin. Alors ma chambre n'était pas prête...c'est normal. Mais j'ai pris un petit déjeuner Excellent et très rapidement j'ai pu accéder à ma belle chambre. Lit tres confortable...propreté. ..personnel aux petits soins

My wife stayed at this hotel for its excellent proximity to Bumrungrad hospital. The hotel is very nice and clean. The food in the restaurant was also very good. As others have said. It's a hidden gem.

Great property - new, clean, aesthetically beautiful, great service. But as a frequent traveller to Bangkok I always prefer to stay around the main shopping strip where the BTS line runs because it is just more convenient and I save a lot of time and money on transportation. (Bangkok is notorious for terrible traffic in the city centre.) The area around Ad Lib has nothing to do/see and its hard for Grab/cab drivers to come in because its all one-way streets on the outside periphery and Ad Lib is very secluded in the smaller streets away from the main road which was hard for Grab drivers to find too. Unless you intend to just park yourself at the hotel to enjoy the property for your entire trip and only head out 1-2 times I won’t recommend this hotel. Also, the humidity in my room was really bad because my bedsheets/pillowcase and clothes were always “moist” to the touch and I found it quite hard to sleep at night. It could be a case of not airing the room enough because of high turnovers.

A wonderful, small(ish), very nice place to stay ... off the well beaten track. Despite a few glitches, I would most certainly stay there again. Especially perfect for those visiting Bumrungrad Hospital ... only a 3 minute walk away!

A quiet moment for contemplation.

A really relaxing stay very close to Bumrungrad Hospital and Nana BTS station. The room had a lovely calm feeling about it and I would recommend this place to anyone. As it was their 10 year anniversary, the gifted me a metal drinking bottle which I thought was such a kind gesture. The breakfast had a great spread and lots of choice. Loved the tropical fruits that were on offer.

I left some lengthy comments to your management team who were celebrating your 10th anniversary. But net net, what a great surprise, having booked your hotel solely based on internet info and reviews. I wad here for a check up at Bumrungrad and proximity is key, but Ad Lib has been a great discovery.

Rooms and amenities are very clean, all the staff are very helpful and kind. Beautiful space overall!

Designated proximity

This was our third stay with a fourth soon to come. Everything about the establishment is top notch. The proximity to a major international hospital was a major factor in choosing Ad Lib BKK. I look forward to staying there again.

Tremendous value, excellent service

If you are looking for slightly off the beaten path with high value and fantastic service, this is the place. Morning bfast was delicious and attentive. Housekeeping was stealth fast and top notch. Just know that you need to tack on 10 mins coming and going because of location but seriously in BKK you spend your whole day out and about so it wasn’t a bother for us.

Proximity to hospital was the reason for the booking. Hotel is excellent and gives a feel of tropical environment.

My husband and I loved staying here, it was genuinely one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I am very picky when it comes to clean places. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the lobby/grounds were beautiful. We didn’t get a change to eat there but went to the bar and it was very good!

Positive feedback: -/ reception staff are very friendly and helpful -/ porters are very polite -/ restaurant staff also very polite -/ convenient locations with lots of local eateries and massage joints -/ next to a hospital with a bank inside Not so great sharing: -/ i was arranged room S105 which is facing the hotel shop front. As my window faces exactly the car pickup drop off area, I do not feel comfortable to open the blind at all, meaning I have no day light throughout the whole stay. And i can hear all the chat and "welcome" that was taking place out there...which was extremely near my room. -/ there is a pillar right in the middle of the room which is so unacceptable and unbelievable for a hotel room. Only one person can walk through the room at one point. -/ the sound from the above floor is crystal clear and I can hear all the foot step sound day and night time -/ today it’s rainy outside and there is strange smell in the room which i think is caused by the sewage?! -/ the bathroom shower water pressure is weird, it’s slow and fast randomly and the shower head is swiveling on and off I understand ad lib is a 4 star hotel, it looks wonderful from the outside, but you need to keep up with the room infrastructure as well. And i made my room booking 5 October, which is more than 3 months in advance, I would expect a room which is better than S105

Beautifully designed hotel

Had an amazing time at Ad Lib! The staff was kind and hotel is well designed. While the location isn't the most convenient, they offer a free shuttle to the main street to make up for it.

Its nicely secluded in the center of Bangkok

The property is one of the best kept secrets in Bangkok. The hotel and the facilities are all prime benefits to the clients. The personnel all work diligently to insure that your every need is met. They also anticipate your needs once they establish the relationship with the customer. I was staying there to make a serious hospital visit nearby. The staff transported me and picked me up often and with out delays. The service in the restaurant and bar area was without a doubt, some of the finest I have ever experienced in my many trips to Bangkok since 2006. There isn’t another of the many facilities that I have been a guest at that can top their service and attitude. Well done Team Ad Lib. See you again on my next trip.

Very clean. We in fact needed to wait for 15 mins till they completed the cleaning process. Very fresh and clean.

This hotel expects others to be understanding about there guidlines of Covid 19 but do not repay the same gesture.not refunding or allowing to move date to following year very bad experiencewith this hotel.

Very very friendly staff, excellent breakfast with a good variety, keen to be hygienic.

The hotel is quite beautiful - a truly interesting/creative layout. The food was very good, especially the cheesecake, and the mixed drinks were creative an tasty. Its very close location to Bumrungrad was its biggest selling point for me. It has a nice pol but nobody was manning the bar.

A tropical oasis in middle one of the most exciting cities in the world. I loved everything about it... the design, the food, the staff, the pool... everything.

The location is perfect if you need to go to Bumrungrad International Hospital and want to hop on the BTS for some shopping. The decor, food/dining, and staff were superb. I wish the gym was better equipped, but there is enough for a workout. I will stay here the next time I visit Bumrungrad.

I love the architecture and design. It is very conscious of warmth, space and functionality. The customer service is amazing too.

Environment and staff, excellent location but very quiet

Thought the property was beautifully appointed... very thoughtful in every way. Particularly liked the fact that there was more than adequate electrical connections... no need for adaptors and provided 2 USB ports. It was great! What is lacking: sorry, guys but this is my pet peeve... PLEASE remember that not all of your guests have perfect eyesight (esp in Asia , where many ae short-sighted) AND that there are middle-aged and older guests. The other comment: I thought the food was on the heavy side. The fried food that I tried (vegetable triangles and hot and spicy squid were both swimming in oil. In a former life I ran restaurants... there is no excuse for this happening other than a bad cook. Many people are trying to be health conscious - what about freffresh Thail spring rolls? Finally, think the staff is great and certainly service-oriented but there are some communications issues, e.g., I had aranged for a late checkout (and agred to pay an extra half-day. I confirmed the next day and was told, "yes", all good. However, on the day I left, I was told the car was already there and no, I couldn't have a late checkout since the room was needed. I was explained that the staff member hadn't understood. I needed a late checkout because of business... this created a major problem for me and it should have.

Great hotel in Bangkok centre. Love the design, room, breakfast especially. Staffs are super friendly and it's very convenient as the hotel provides tuk tuk service. Will definitely visit again and thanks Ad Lib for creating a superior experience to us.

Staff did not want to help us make appointments for massage at a famous local massage chain. She tried hard to push us to go for massage at the neighbouring Oasis spa (possibly because they will get a cut from that spa).

There are no windows in the room! Rooms are tiny . Claustrophobic atmosphere. Staff is completely disorganized and inefficient

Fantastic place. Amazing food!

Our stay at Ad Lib was fantastic! Beautifully designed and very friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant menu and food was absolutely delicious. We ate every meal here and it never disappointed. We loved that the restaurant is open 24hrs a day. One recommendation for improvement is if they were able to put a few more dining tables inside where it is air conditioned... if it is a busy time it’s hard to find a table that isn’t in the heat. Room was very nice and bed was comfy. We found more than enough storage and places to hang things. AC wasn’t very cold but on our second day the power went out and the AC didn’t work properly at all. We informed them and the staff were quick to help reset the system. Once reset, the AC was nice and cold! Local area isn’t the best but it is about a 6-8 min walk to the train and from there you can get to the malls. Pool area is very nice as well, especially at night once the heat of the day is gone! Overall we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

very good choice if you want silence and a quiet holiday as not crowded in the hotel. Breakfast and coffee are nice. the mattress is surprisingly comfy and supportable. the only comment is the room is a bit dark as no sunlight goes into the room.

Beautiful contmpo zen vibe, a sanctuary in the midst of crowded Bangkok. Great staff, met graciously by Rose st 4:30 in the morninf. Excellent kitchen Love the Thai food. Beautiful bar/lounge. Pool area quite nice. Staff is great top tp bottom. Readonable for the quality. I recommend opting in for the breakfast plan

Hidden gem in Bangkok

Ad lib was really like discovering a hidden gem in the hotel jungle that is Bangkok. Placed a bit from the main street Sukhumvit gives the advantage of creating an oasis with great food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Great rooms, clean and functional. The only negative thing I can think of is that their express laundry service wasn't available on a Sunday, which wasn't advertised. But Bangkok being a big city, this wasn't any real issue.

Staff warrm, friendly and eager to ensure you have a good stay. A peaceful, tranquil hotel onside ring the size of Bangkok. Stylish and visually appealing. Room was very comfortable and well designed with some great touches, eh quality toiletries.

We had a lovely stay at Ad Lib. The room was compact but comfortable. Nice toiletries was provided and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The best thing about the room was the bed. I had the best sleep ever and wished i could have brought it home with me. It was great to come back to after busy days of shopping and sightseeing. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Compact, Modern & Cosy Hotel

Staff has excellent hospitality. Clean and modern interior. Not so spacious, but compact and efficient room. Location is convenient particularly for shopping and dining as near to major shopping malls. If you get to this hotel, it would be easier for driver to direct him/her to Bumrungrad Hospital. Overall, its value for moeny quite satisfied me, which tempted me to visit again.

A cozy room to stay

The room is not big in size but it is cozy enough for a two-people stay. Overall is good in its hospitality with warm staff. Recommended!

The staff are very friendly and helpful except for the hotel hidden in a corner of a small street. Luckily the hotel provides free tuk tuk transfer for guests to the Main Street but coming back after shopping is tough as many grab / taxi Drivers don’t know the address. Overall is a good hotel for relaxing with the greeneries and quiet environment.

Convenient

It was walking distance to the hospital I was booked to do body check. The hotel was on a side street with many massage parlors but they provide transportation to take you to the Main Street and it was also possible to walk to high class shopping centers. It was stated in the room that if you walk away with the slippers you will have to pay.

Nice boutique hotel

Nice small boutique hotel located in Phloenchit area. 10 mins away from closest BTS station. I like heir swimming pool. It’s not big but has a cool design. The room was always clean and tidy. The bed was comfy. Not much interesting neighborhood near to the hotel but there is a convenient store nearby so you can get what you need. You can also sneak into the international hospital next to the hotel for Starbucks and McDonalds.

Great Boutique Hotel

Great hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was excellent, very friendly & helpful, great service. Food is good, its hotel food, but very good. Pool is great, rooms was well designed and big. Its a boutique hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. It was a little pricey considering, but we felt worth it, but I wouldn't say its a great deal/value. You pay a little and it's worth it. Close to BTS, street food, bars, SIAM Center. Overall I would recommend Ad Lib if youre looking for a relaxing place to chill.

Hidden Gem AD LIB

Ad Lib was great! Tuk Tuk made it convenient to travel from Pheon Chit BTS. The Hospital beside was exquisite.

Not a nice room. Very expensive for what it was. View of black wall. No bathtub. No breakfast. Swimming pool is only wide enough for two people to swim. TV was unacceptably bad. Lightning was dim. Strange. I would never stay here again, given all the much better hotels at lower cost.

Good Vibes But Bad Location and the food sucks

When I arrived at the hotel staffs were still confused whether I was thier guest or some other hotels' because there were two tiny hotels infront of them. The room service was quick. The bed was confortable but the food was so bad. I ordered Coconut water and Ad lib Big breakfast. I waited and was served cold breakfast. Not impressed with this experience at all. **Do Not Recommend Girls Who Come alone** Walking from BTS to the hotel is not safe and at night if you want to go out to the nearest 7-11 Store. You have to really to be carefull because it is dark and full of tuk tuk and taxi
