We really liked our stay. We stayed in a deluxe unit and the two queen beds were brand new and very comfortable. The only one thing I would say is that the facility is a little dated. However very clean, the staff is very nice and attentive and the price was reasonable. One thing I thought was exceptional was the snow removal. It was snowing a blizzard when we were at White Trellis and they were plowing nonstop. Excellent 5 star snow removal. We left the motel and went to an expensive local inn where we had reservations also and though twice as expensive the snow removal there was awful. My 4WD SUV even got stuck.
We had a good stay in this property and also got upgraded. The lady in the front desk was very nice, probably the owner (sorry I didnt get her name). Check in was quick. Although the place is a little dated, it is super clean, comfortable and spacious. I would recommend this place when you visit North Conway. It is so close to Cranmore resort and also restaurants and other establishments. I would love to be back in this property again.
Thanks
Clean, Somewhat dated, but cozy and not more than you need. Right price.
Reminded me of the Bates motel . Decor wasn’t the greatest. Room smelled like old mothballs! The whole place could use some updating.
Heating did not work in the room.
Bare bones motel
Convenient location for the Kancamagus hwy but that’s where the perks end. No wifi, dated rooms, flat pillows, and thermostat locked at 65 degrees.
Mn Travelers
The place is very run down. The air conditioner was poorly installed. Cold air was coming in around the air conditioner which was not on. Beds had poor blankets and bed spreads they were very old. I would not stay there again.
Retro yet very clean and adequate
Perfectly adequate for a budget two-night stay. Decor, bedding and furnishing are old, throwback to the 70's and 80's yet very clean. No weird odors, no dust nor cobwebs. Shower is fine.
I have stayed in so many hotels and motels but this is the worst motel ever lived.
The motel is an older property that needs upkeep.
Bed and bedding poor confort Kind honour
Host was very kind. Room is clean but very very old. We were there for1night only so it was okay but the room would need to be refreshed to the taste of the day
Good place to stay.
Beds were uncomfortable, could here every toilet flush of other guest, bathroom out dated
Nice service and good care of the building
The property is in a poor state and smells musty.
Older motel , but convenient spot. It def needs a good renovation but it was very clean. Yes we checked , even for bed bugs. But it was fine. I mean how long are you in the room when you’re on vacation ? It was literally just to sleep. The AC was really good and our room was nice and cool. Rooms also have a small fridge in them. Our only true issue was the free WiFi. It stunk. They need WiFi extenders or something. It did not work.
Definitely would stay again
Not fancy but clean and very adequate for 3 of us to tour the white mountains on motorcycles
The only good thing about this property is it’s location. Room old. Towels and blankets in need of new ones. WiFi is non existent and because I was tired I didn’t have the energy to complain. When I went to sleep I saw a small cockroach roaming in the ceiling. I even took a photo of that. The property should not charge what it does for an overnight stay. In need of huge improvement.
The room REEKED! Of what, no clue... Air condition, window unit, compressor froze and sounded like it was falling out of the window all night... And the price was MORE per night than the newer hotels in the area.. I booked this hotel on Expedia from 800 miles away, and for some odd reason, the newer hotels didn't even show up when booking. I thought this was one of my only choices at my price point... it was NOT,, and I was truly disgusted, I had to go purchase Lysol, to spray in the room just to be able to deal with it...
Staff was friendly , rooms old and dingy, needs to be spruced up and sewer smells on occasion
very quite and owner is very nice and as long as you dont mind old fashion its great
The woman at check in was very nice. The Motel is very old but it was clean and for the price and location it worked for me.
Poor parking area.
We came to stay for a wedding nearby. This was perfect! Don't judge a book by it's cover. This place is dated, but had: comfortable beds, hot shower, cold mini fridge, wifi and cable. What else could you ask for?
Never again! They charged me more than my contracted price, the office was hardly open to get supplies or ask questions and the walls were so thin it was like the people in the room next room were in our room.
It's got all one needs for an oversight stay. Nothing elaborate or fancy, it's an older property that's kept clean and is run by a very pleasant proprietor. It was perfect for what I needed for an overnight to attend a wedding. Don't book if you're looking for luxury but it's priced accordingly.
Well. Check in was good. Building and rooms a little out dated. Tried to put heat on to take chill out. Don’t think it ever came on. Over priced for the accommodations. Now the kicker is. To our surprise after sleeping the night in room 5. We noticed the sides of the twin mattress were all stained in what looked like blood and actually on the fitted sheet there actually was a blood stain. Had we seen the night before we would have demanded our money back and stayed elsewhere. I have photos will show if needed. Disgusted
This place has been around for over 70 years, I believe! While the lobby has a quaint, old fashioned feel, my room, though quite small, was more updated, especially the large bathroom. There were a couple pieces of worn-out furniture, but everything was clean, bed was soft and comfy. Great for one night, pay $80-90...oh, wait, no...I was charged $130!!! What?! Owners, maybe that's why you had only 5 or so guests on a Friday night! Don't charge so much! This isn't a luxurious place, which is fine. But charge accordingly!
Room was clean, but could definitely use some updating. Staff was friendly. Check in was quick.
Wonderful place
Old fashioned, no frills motel at a fair price
Old fashioned, no frills motel at a fair price. Good for a night or two! Air conditioner and fridge in room work fine. Views of sunset from rooms. Clean and comfortable beds and rooms. but room decor is dated. Beds are comfortable enough, bathrooms have been upgraded.
Inexpensive and not fancy.
This is one of the least-expensive hotels in North Conway, which makes sense, given in the hotel's below-average condition. My room did not appear to have been updated in decades. ... It was clean. It was serviceable. That's as kind as I can be. The rooms are close to a busy road and road noise is an issue.
The smell of mold was really overpowering in our room and all of our luggage still smells of it 24 hours after checkout - had to wash even our packsacks to get the smell out. There seemed to be a lot of mold in the shower that had been painted over. Carpet was really dirty, bits of trash near the bed, but the sheets and toilet were clean. Hair in the shower. The woman at the front desk was really lovely - nothing to say about service - but if you have sensitivity to mold or allergies, consider paying a little extra to stay in one of the more expensive options nearby that probably has had the necessary upkeep over the years. Decor from 1993.
Very nice management
Friendly staff, convenient location
Quick and easy booking.
VERY convenient to Conway AND North Conway for shop, dine, and ski purposes. While it is situated "On the road", there was virtually no traffic noise after 10pm. This is the perfect place for a bachelor seeking a warm room and affordable price. Furnishings were old but everything was VERY CLEAN. Rev.written Jan. 2023.
It was quaint, clean, and close to Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church we attended, as well as the Ledge Brewery where I was performing with a percussion ensemble.
Very dated. Beds uncomfortable. Needs many updates.
Room was filthy. Shower and shower curtain growing black mold. Feet of bed sitting on boards. Bed sagged in middle. Felt like we were sleeping in a hole. Heater in bathroom held together with tape. Owner has heat set on a timer. Cannot control heat in your room. Shower water was lukewarm. Think temp on water heater is turned down. Would never stay there again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. Really a shame because it’s a cute retro place that could be nice with some updates and a thorough cleaning.
Expedia pictures were different from actual property. Property needs to be updated.
This is a scam motel, they put in a thermostat for a steam system that is not programable by guest. It is controlled by the front desk and placed above a small refrigerator which falsly indicates temperature but is really warm air from the refrigerator compressor this could not heat the room, and the radiator was cold to touch for 8 hours after we checked ineven though temperature outside was droping to 39 degrees.
Uncomfortable bed and pillows, bad coffee
small room
Good location, surprisingly quiet, beds ok, pillows flat, absolutely filthy bathroom, bugs/dirt in window sills, pills on the floor, spiders and a horrible solid air freshener
Worst motel per my kids
Was promised room with two double plus a twin bed. Upon arriving the front desk lady said that room had plumbing problem and the only available room is with two double bed. There is no sofa, or anything ended up we have to combine two double bed together for five of us. Everything is small and outdated.
It's an older motel, yet quite comfortable. No deferred maintenance. Pleasant, conveniently close to town. I've stayed in motels on the road that were so bad, I trashed them on Yelp and other places. This place was very nice, a joy to stay in, and we stay here, when we visit the area. My wife and daughters insist on it.
Cute, but...
Arrived late (about 8:30 pm), picked up our room keys and went directly out to dinner. Should have checked the rooms first as the air conditioners were not turned on and it was stifling inside (just like the outdoors). Had to go to the front desk for instructions to turn them on. Finally fell asleep, though not before the room actually cooled down. Like most small (and some larger) accommodations, little attention is paid to the bathroom exhaust fans or the wall a/c units. Both items in both rooms desperately needed to be cleaned (see photo). I'm sure the room would have cooled more quickly with a clean filter. Room was clean otherwise, and for a one night stay, we were quite comfortable.
If you can stay away from this motel
Very stinky and dirty rooms and beddings
One night stay
Knew from the online photos the place was dated. Front screen door needs replacing. Carpets should be replaced at the bare minimum deep cleaned. The shower curtain and liner both had black mold... ewww.
Very reasonably priced for a last minute booking. Close to town and ample parking. There was a minor caterpillar invasion in the outer area, one of them made it into our room. Other than that, nice hot shower with great water pressure.
Ms. Honda is welcoming and her property is charming!
Friendly / helpful concierge. Impressively well-insulated from Rte 16 traffic noise.
Friendly check in
Perfect last minute accommodations…easy late night check-in process-Mary, the owner, gave very detailed information and had my room ready.
Olld school NH
Unhappy
Mattresses were very uncomfortable and room was cold when we got in it
Nice location and very quiet area. Easy access to many places and the mountains
We read the reviews prior to booking and noticed a lot of the reviews mentioned a toilet running all night, we didn’t think much of it and booked anyways. The toilet DID run all night. The ice machine was not working, the beds were very u comfortable and the blankets were dirty. If you are planning on staying here I recommend bringing your own bed sheets and blanket. The motel is right down the street from downtown north conway and only a 10-15 minute drive from attitash mountain. 10/10 for location. Overall condition of the motel was not great but the location and price is unbeatable, I would stay here again!
A quaint property perfect for short stays. Awesome location.
Nice people, awful room.
Disappointed
The cost was $100 over what it should have been for what you got. I' m sure this was because they were taking advantage of the color season demande. Our bigest beef was no coffee maker in the room. We left a phone cord in the room and couldn't get it back because no one would answer at the front desk to get a key to get back in.
We wouldn’t stay. It was not tolerable.
Although the room was very clean it needed a new mattress, pillows and bedding. A/C worked but not well. Would have been nice to have a microwave. Did have a small refrigerator
Simple no frills good price had fridge ac wifi cable tv
I liked that it was clean, affordable & safe. I didn’t like no microwave in the unit. There was one that was shared. The shared area needed to be cleaned & insulation covered. The beds were not comfortable. The mattress needs to be replaced. I sank in and it squeaked loudly every time I moved
This is a dump place. Owner is very nasty. Very unfriendly place.
It was a convenient location for where we wanted to go. Affordable for the time of year and location. The office was not accessible to guests and contact with the staff was kept to curbside check in only. The room was outdated so as clean as it could be with older carpets. Overall a decent place to stay overnight for sleep and a shower in the morning.
Wasn’t a good place; wasn’t a pleasant place to stay one night.
Older motel
The check in was smooth and easy the lady at front desk was extremely friendly and courteous, the rooms were clean ,its a older motel ,no coffee pot .microwave, has a small refrigerator, the pillows were as hard as a rock ,for the fee it was okay fir what we needed that weekend.
The owner was very nice and helpful. Accommodations we extremely basic, interior dated.
It's fine, but overpriced for what it is.
Close to lots of hiking and XC skiing opportunities! The furniture is very outdated and there's no coffee machine or hairdryer in the room, but it was a good price for a weekend in North Conway.
Hair on my pillow and bed, never again
Will not stay again. It was a last minute stay and all that was available for the one night. It’s a small motel which I’m fine with but looked like the 70’s in there. Again ok if clean. There was hair on my pillow case and on the sheets and the bed spread was so old and thin. The shower drain was half in and half down in the shower thought I may slice my foot. I ended up sleeping in my clothes and removed the pillow case and put a towel on top. Plus the room was musty smelling so much that the next day my clothes smelled. I couldn’t wait to get to the next place and shower. It’s a shame because it’s so convenient to town and the lady who checked me in was so friendly
The bed was so uncomfortable. Definitely need to upgrade the bed
My major complaint is the lack of wifi in the room. My room was at the far end of the motel and the signal didn'r reach that far. I was told that if I wwanted wifi, I should sit outside the office door. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. In addition, the room was rather dark and lack such basic amenitites as plastic cups.
The hotel could use some updates - flat screen tv's, wifi access and decor. It was inexpensive and a last minute trip for the night. The person at the front desk was very nice and welcoming.
Neighbors were rude and loud and beds were uncomfortable
The property is very old and is not worth the money at all. The beds were very uncomfortable.
Its very outdated but sufficed for one night.
A vintage experience.
When we got to the motel, we rang the bell at the front desk at least four times. We didn't have cell service and couldn't call. Finally, the proprietress showed up, saying, "Sorry--I was talking to a guest." Our room was a throwback to motels of the early '90s or before, albeit with usable internet. Some of the electrical outlets only had two prongs; there was a modern thermostat in the room, but we couldn't adjust the temperature with it. The comforters were faded and stained, but probably adequately laundered. The outer shower curtain was beautiful, but the inner shower curtain wouldn't stay stuck to the tub and kept trying to attack me while I showered. The mattress was fairly rigid and left me with a stiff back. I was glad to have access to a fridge, and I have encountered worse motels, but I suspect that other accommodations in North Conway are more luxurious.
Was close to alot of activities, plus restaurants. Was convenient to gas stations.
old and outdated, maintainance looks to have been done by a child
White Trellis
Was looking for a reasonable priced hotel for a quick trip to hike mt Washington. White Trellis was the perfect fit.
Not great not terrible
I booked last minute through hotels.com and when I arrived they didn’t have my room available. However, the lady promptly gave me a different room and was very kind. However, the linens hadn’t been changed as I found several hairs in the bed. They do have excellent water pressure though.l, so I guess that’s a bonus. It is very dated (60s style) which isn’t necessarily bad if that’s something you like. I’d never experienced it before and now can say I have. Not a terrible place however not great... would I stay here again?? Probably not.
No modern ammenities - No wifi - Very old TVs Very sweet lady at check-in Check-out was easy
1960-70....
We found the accomodations vetusque but clean and OK. The service at the reception was excellent.
Great Location. Comfortable unit but could use some updates. Needed an outlet in the bathroom.
Very Clean room , the bed was okay and the facilities were adequate. Good Room for the price.
Dump. Very creepy. Outdated. Scary. Could not stay. Cancelled after seeing svofsyiimd
It’s an affordable clean room. It’s good if you’re using it for sleeping not so much for hanging around. Great location for getting to town and to the mountains.
Very comfortable, and the staff was excellent! We actually extended our stay an additional night!
The room had only two electrical outlets, The Rooms need updating, they remind me of the trips with my parents in the 50's.
Room was clean, close to Attractions, mattress hard
Nice reception. Decor inside was dated but extremely clean. Bathroom clean and dry. Beautifully landscaped with Lily garden.
Ok place to stay.
We reserved the room on Hotels.com on May 28th for our June 24th trip and the reservation was not received prior to our arrival by the motel. They were able to accommodate us and were gracious about the mix-up. The room was spacious but very dark. The three lamps had dim light bulbs and it made reading in the room difficult. The room seemed clean. The bathroom blinds did not fully close and since they bathroom faced the parking area, this was unpleasant. The shower had great water pressure and the bathroom was very clean. The housekeeping was the biggest downfall; the shower curtain was torn, one day they didn't leave a bath mat, another day they unplugged our fridge (which had food in it), and another day they left our door unlocked and ajar. Three chairs made for plenty of seating. The price was very reasonable.
Pleasant motel close to the center of town
White Trellis Motel | Hotel in North Conway | Travala.com
Great spot for the price! Rooms are a little outdated but the heat works, the shower was hot, and the room was clean and convenient to local attractions! Would definitely stay there again. Staff was super friendly and helpful!
