It’s really more of a hostel than a hotel. Very noisy. Great central location though.

Great affordable stay at Vali by Village with a private en-suite room. Bedroom was a great size with a comfy bed and clean. Check in/out was very quick and easy, staff very friendly and helpful. Convenient location, quick 5 minute walk to the main beach with plenty of bars and restaurants around.

Of course it was the day after the Blues Festival but the hallways were littered with trash.

Central spot on Byron Bay.

Room was small but clean. Overall the building is noisy. Constant noise in the hallway and doors opening and closing. It did quiet down later on but was woken up around 2AM by noisy people in the hall.

Great central location, although not a good view if that is important to you. Feels kind of “back-alley” but super close to the main shopping area in Byron. Clean, always smelled so good! Was nervous about the noise, being a hostel, but we have a room at the end of the hall and it was always very quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Great boutique hotel and location in Byron

Great location and great service, got upgraded to the Cosy Corner, which was much appreciated as we booked for a 5 nights stay. Great room with a beautiful canopy bed. Surprised it was a boutique hotel/hostel as it wasn't mentioned in the description of the hotel but still happy with the premises along with the helpful staff.

New owners. New experience.

Having stayed at the property regularly over the last 5 years, it pains me to say that since the new ownership group have taken over, the place has changed for the worse. No daily cleaning, change of towels, housekeeping. Backpacker vibe has returned and it is very much a party hotel with loud music and conversations in hallways until sunrise. Hotel rates for a backpacker experience. Unfortunately, will not be staying here again.

This is a lovely Hostel with private rooms. If you are looking for a close walking distance from the beach and a convenient central location this will be best for you The Hostel is in a side street above Aldi not a great view etc but definitely safe and clean. Lots of travellers and young people but if you only needing a room to sleep and mostly out it will be a perfect choice

So convenient and the room we had was a lot better than our expectation. Their staff at the reception were very friendly as well. We would definitely go back!

Private room in a hostel

Great location in the heart of Byron. Just know what you're signing up for - a very comfy private room + bathroom within a backpacker hostel. It has a lively atmosphere + fun events with a young clientele overall (I'd say the average age is early/mid 20s). Unfortunately the wifi was really poor for video calls across the 2 nights I stayed there (even in the lobby) and the communal kitchen was always packed and dirty. But a comfortable stay aside from those things!

Interesting as it seems a lot of rooms were being converted to backpacker/pod style accommodation. Should be good once renovation completed.

Great location right in the town. No need for car. Walk everywhere. Lovely staff made our stay delightful.

Convenience most importantly ability to take our dogs. It was safe and secure. The fees for the dogs $50 per dog per day was a bit rich. We were left the room in very good condition better than how we got it. Would stay there again. Management was excellent.

Bryon Bay was amazing- location was central and easy to walk. Parking was offered and easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice clean hotel.

I will stay at Vali Byron again mainly because the staff are all so wonderfully helpful and welcoming.

It was centrally located. Easy walk to the main beach And dining. Staff were very helpful. The only draw back was the payed parking on top of the accommodation fees. But that was across the board around Byron Bay. So all in all a good few days. 😁.

Great staff, Brooke was really helpful ! Rooms are great and very spacious. Balcony is a plus. A lot of free amenities and events such a massages, movies, boxing classes, etc… Great stay overall !!

The location is perfect. We didn’t use the car all we just walked everywhere.

When we got to our room there was sand in our bed on the very first day, didn't think the bed sheets had been changed out, other guests are very noisy running through the halls at night yelling or talking loudly coming back from partying, staff are friendly and helpful

Dirty condom and cans under the bed, toilet paper in the bed. And couldn’t find a garbage shoot or bin. So we left a rubbish in boxes. Wouldn’t have even complained about this but I got charged a cleaning fee when clearly it wasn’t clean before us.

Vali seems geared towards younger people and backpackers which is fine - however there are certain things that come with that. There seemed to be a smell of vomit in the hallways at one stage and it is quite noisy till the early hours of the morning so can be difficulty if you are a light sleeper. Our room was great, good size and bed was comfy. The shower head was loose and needed fixing and the bathroom was quite tiny for what was a generous sized room. We were visiting Byron for a wedding so the place was perfect for our needs, very convenient in the heart of town. But my wife did struggle with the noise.

Exceptional room

This was a great accommodation. I stayed across from the women’s washroom and it had a squeaky door. The 6 bed room had a fridge and tv in it, which was very convenient.

Our stay here was amazing and the staff could not have done a better job at making us feel welcome. The place was clean and very well decorated with really good air con and facilities. The staff were so friendly and they had organised free events for guests most days of the week. We wish we had stayed longer so we could attend them all! They had group walks, a BBQ, trivia night and free boxing classes ect. We attended the walking tour to the lighthouse at sunrise free of charge and even bought us all a coffee/pastry afterwards. If returning to Byron bay I wouldn’t even think about staying anywhere else.

I loved the room was really well set out with nice decor nice comfy bed tv with choices for watching movies. Nice balcony small fridge. Place was great for someone wanting thwir own room snd those wanting to share had big kitchen area and terrace. My room was far from the shared dorms bsthrooms etc which was great.

I have nothing to complain about, this is a really nice hostel/hotel. The ensuite room has a big tv that you can connect to the room. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Noice fromboutside was very loud on a Friday night but that is expected when you live in the centre of Byron. I recommend!

Great location, good for short stay

Beautiful renovated hotels however rooms are already showing signs of wear and need better cleaning. My room had coffee/liquid stains on the floor and bathroom was in need of a deep clean

Fantastic. I stayed in one of the private rooms - I’d highly recommend Vali to anyone visiting Byron Bay.

Good property, very very good location but other than that it’s just ur standard room

This hostel is in a great location and overall rooms and facilities are clean. Although having fridges and tables in the dorm rooms encourages people to eat there which can make this area feel messy and unclean. Curtain rail fell down as I was holding it, luckily just missed the head of the person who was stood below! Also didn’t find it a very social hostel as a solo traveller, not many events/activities were put on by the hostel so hard to met people.

We booked the private room suite, and it was very clean and spacious. It had enough storage for two people, and the bathrooms were clean as well. We asked for a hairdryer to be added to the room, and the team was very accommodating. They offered a free boxing class for guests, which is great for boosting physical fitness. The staff and management team were amazing! They are easy to get along with and great to have a chat with. Special mention to Damien and Medard for making our stay an unforgettable experience.

Great place to stay in Byron Bay, friendly staff and clean rooms

It looks like a really nice hostel but it’s lacking the essentials. The beds have curtains but they don’t go all around and are lumpy. No individual lights, power sockets or towels which you’d expect given the price. Bathrooms were clean however sometimes no loo roll for hours. The free bbq was great but some music or games would have made it more social. There’s outdoor space they could be making use of. Reception staff were lovely and very helpful. I would stay again.

This hotel is in the perfect location, right in town centre! Parking is only $15 and multiple entry in and out of the car park. Joanna on the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Will absolutely be staying here again next time Im in Byron!

Great 2 day stay. Mix up about free parking, hotels.com got it wrong. But, great location, clean rooms, high end equipment and shampoo etc. Cant fault this hotel. Didnt realise they had dorms so basically a hostel but no noise. Thank you Damian the manager, we will return

Be aware that you have constant door slamming which is a major problem if you want to sleep! It’s loud and stops late at night and starts again early. Pity. The room we had was tiny but clean . Bathroom products very nice! Super close to centre…

It was absolutely terrible the other guests were so loud until at least 245am I had no sleep and absolutely so annoyed and angry at the fact that I paid a lot of money to not even beable to sleep , never again !!!!!’

Really wonderful experience. The manager was extremely helpful and attentive to my needs. All the staff members were friendly and gave excellent advice about local areas to check out. I loved the location and free parking, super important in Byron. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.
