Great stay in an ensuite room, bright and clean and ideal for travelling around Rotorua. Laundry and EV charging was extremely helpful!
Great for a quick stay. Wish I stayed longer
What a joke, booking confirmation didn’t have required details to check in. Phone calls to get assistance were terminated repeatedly. Rubbish in the room and a fridge that didn’t work, extremely disappointed
Perfect location in the centre of town. We could walk to Eat Street and all the resturants within a few minutes. Beds were comfortable and staff very helpful. Keep in mind that there are no lifts, so if you end up on the top floors, you will be doing lots of stairs to get anywhere. Particularly annoying if you have large baggage or prams etc with you that you will need to carry up and down. We stayed on the first floor so it wasnt really an issue for us. They have a large communal kitchen on the first floor that you can use if your room doesnt have a kitchen, which was super handy. Overall, very happy with our stay and would stay there again. Very good value for money.
It was okay, I was visiting family and book a last minute stay in Rotorua. The rooms were mid and the access is confusing. You gotta download an app to get your key which is annoying cause you’ll just delete when done. It’s like a college dorm hallway set up which a common kitchen. Won’t stay again but I see what they’re going for it works but if you want a hotel hotel this ain’t it.
Very easy check in. Good location and walking distance to restaurants and cafes! Swimming pool was clean and warm. Only downside was other people staying here were quite loud but that is out of the accommodations control. Overall I really enjoyed staying here!
Generally is good
The most friendly Prasad helped me with check in. This place is a gem. Clean linnen. Awesome vibe. Not one negative thing about this place.
Friendly staff, well maintained property
The manager is very helpfull, but the mattress need to replace, had sevior back pain.
There were old dead flies in the room, which obviously hadnt been cleaned up properly. The room we were in was next to the pub and it was loud for my kids. I wouldnt recommend staying here on a saturday as its very loud from the Rotorua night life. The lady who greeted us was very kind and helpful.
handy location
Friendly and helpful. Pleasant stay
Clean and tidy
Just loved it.
generalyl、satisfied
Excillent service friendly stuff, booked a room for 3 with child and staff upgrade us to two beds with own bath room and shower, swimming pool were nice and hot good. Awesome location it has a restaurant and bar next to the motel and walking distance to town. Thank you will deffinetly come back again with family and friends
Noise from outside traffic and a few people early hours very loud. I would suggest double glazing windows to shut out noise otherwise an awesome place to stay affordable and awesome location! Thanks heaps
This was a friendly, no frills stay in town. Staff were very kind, room was small but clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were very small. Expect to pay extra for electric charging of vehicles ($20/night). Room key cards were a pain since it used a phone app/Bluetooth to work.
The room itself was clean but small. The pool area was nice and the kitchen area was clean and well-stocked. But there are only stairs at this property. My mum had quite a hard time lifting her luggage up two flights of stairs with her dodgy knee. Also, the rooms were really warm even with the heating turned off and the windows were really condensated in the morning.
Had a great stay, thanks.
Very reasonable price
Great location
Great customer service. Hot pool was lovely and the hours its open is fantastic. Hotel wanted us to use same towels for 2 days, need heated towel rack in rooms if this is the case. Hotelier said there are dryers to dry towels at our expense. I believe the hotel should be providing extra towels or drying money if they want us to use same towels for 2 days. Otherwise great location, friendly staff. Rooms a bit small but manageable.
Good layout for family, comfortable bed and friendly staff
Nice and clean warm Closs to the hospital for our appointment
I didn't realize the room would be so small, or not have a kitchen. At night you can unfortunately hear a lot of movement and noise. Bar this, they keep things clean and staff were very polite.
Satisfied and happy
Everything was lovely but the room was tight by the staira and with late night people coming up and then early leavers, we didnt get a lot of aleep.
Just got back from my trip. I had the best time. Service from staff and communication was amazing. The weather wasn’t so great on the weekend but it was good we were able to watch movies on chromecast. The amenities at the properties were excellent. I’m definitely staying here again and highly recommend.
Everything was perfect
Was in town
Right next to free geothermal park. Great bbq restaurant next door. Very friendly and helpful desk staff. Spacious room with dual sink setup that's great for families.
Clean room and comfortable beds. Very noisy intersection. Very convenient location. Parking is exceedingly tight for a hotel with limited spaces. It was very warm and there is no air conditioning in rooms.
The room I was in G5 I could hear my neighbour snoring, using the bathroom, T. V and their room door, shared bathroom n toilet doors were also really loud when they opened and closed.
Won’t stay again
Was exactly what I wanted. Enjoyed the fancy milk in the fridge. Hassle fee stay and nice bed.
Shared bathroom, no aircon, even no socket for the fan lol
A hidden gem of a boutique hotel right in the center of Rotorua. Staff is very helpful and kind, facilities are AMAZING and everything is super clean. Rooms are also very spacious, well decorated and with a nice balcony. I wish I hadn't stayed at other places (avoid Ibis Rotorua at all costs!) and instead book all of the nights here. Highly recommended even for long stays!
Close proximity to everything
.
Everything was fine except charging $10 for packing in a place that is not congested was so unnecessary
For the price paid, we were extremely happy with the stay! Rooms and bathrooms well cleaned, great kitchen, lovely staff. There is some road noise so you might want ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Room could be improved with some thicker curtains as they are quite thin. I would happily stay here again, thank you!
Property style is great - everything is new and clean, parking is free and the staff are friendly. However, there is ongoing construction work which was not made clear up front - unfair when paying full price - resulting in early morning noise disruption and the pool is under construction if you are also looking for that.
Overall the room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. But what attracted us to this property was the pool. Which is out of service. We were grateful for a partial refund (which was given after i asked) Biggest downfall however was that it is in no way wheel chair accessable. There was no elevator and although i am not bound by a wheelchair i am heavily pregnant and was on the top floor so had to come up and down flights of stairs. Alot of maintenance going on at the place. Welding, grinding, water blasting building. So very noisy during the day.
Pleasantly surprised with our room. Clean and great location.
A brilliant choice for our stay in Rotorua, the service was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room and all the amenities were spotless. I cant recommend this place highly enough.
It was great, place very clean and everything basically brand new. Economical for what you get and above all expectations :-) The only negatives would be the pool was out of order and the stairs up to the third floor could be a lot of cardio for families carrying heaps of luggage.
It was great 👍
Great Staff. Based right in town. Couple exciting new features in the works.
Was fantastic. We were in the penthouse. You can cast Netflix into the tv and choose any movie you like for the kids to watch and enjoy. We received complimentary drinks. The rooms was spacious and there were lots of beds for each family member. The pool and spa were amazing options to have at hand and there’s a meat lover grill next door! Brisket was delicious!
