A gem in Vail - close to village and the staff are so accommodating. Love this place!
Wonderful location for strolling into Vail Village or to the Betty Ford Gardens. Unit was clean and well stocked. The balcony view over Gore Creek was breathtaking.
Great location. Elevator needs updating, very difficult getting all the 🎿 stuff and luggage in there as the doors kept closing. Two staff members in the office saw me struggling and no one offered a helping hand.
Lice maker broken, lamp by sofa no knob. BBQmwas great.
We loved our stay at the Wren. We came in to see Nate Bargatze at the Ford Ampitheatre and it was literally right across the street. Loved our room with the loft and full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and king primary bedroom. We want to bring our family back next summer. Hot tubs and pool were fabulous and very relaxing as well! Highly reccommend!
Large 3 bedroom condo, lots of extra pillows and blankets. Front check in desk ladies were A customer service so impressed with ease and pleasant check in. Extra towels brought to room, a lot of extras in condo. Croc pot, blender, a lot of pots/pans. Furniture and pictures/art are very dated, hung really high:) /couch is good and can sleep 2.
Great place and location
Great place and location. The road noise is very loud, but location was good. There was a plastic cover on the mattress that was slippery and they used a flat sheet instead of a fitted so it kept sliding and was annoying. There was no sponge/soap in the kitchen for washing dishes. Everything else was great!
Great view outside but not inside
This condo has a great location, right on Gore Creek within easy walking distance to Betty Ford Gardens and Vail Village. However, the unit itself was very tired and worn, with broken kitchen cabinets, terrible lighting, and a worn out living room couch that had taped up rips in it. The king bed in the master bedroom was comfortable and newer. If you are content to endure worn out accommodations to enjoy a beautiful view and location, this is the place.
Staff was friendly they had to help accommodate parking for larger vehicle as the assigned space was in an underground garage which wasn't clearly explained during reservation. We have a 2012 Ram 2500 Mega Cab so they had to have us park in guest parking during our stay. Which took us almost an hour to resolve upon check in. Garage height is only 6'7". Condo 203 had a great view of the creek so you could leave the patio open and listen to the water flowing which was relaxing. Condo furnished nicely enough for our stay but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. This property has no A/C but we were lucky enough that they had a box fan in the bedroom closet that we put to use. Property is located at the end of Ford park so it is a bit of a walk into downtown along the creek. However if you are trying to go into Lionshead village it is about a 30-45 minute walk. Condo had all the kitchen items we needed to enjoy a night of dinner being delivered due to the rain. Took us about 15 minutes to figure out how to turn shower on and hot water is sparce.
Very outdated plumbing fixtures. Much highway road noise and no a/c. Needs big face lift. Located in convenient area to walk to Vail village
Full kitchen appliances including pots and pans and dishes. The timer on the fireplace was nice, we really didn’t use the baseboard heaters cause the walls were well insulated. The Wren shuttle takes you right to the base of the Golden Peak lift which was great!
Will be staying at the Wren again.
The property was in a great location, room was comfortable with an amazing view and staff was friendly and accommodating. Shuttle service takes you to and from the mountain if walking is to far in ski gear. Amenities were great and signing up for hot tub use was seamless. Will be staying at the Wren again.
I was a little nervous before i showed up because i saw some of the reviews about it being a 20 min walk from the gondola and the rooms being very old im glad to say i was extremely well surprised first of all the room was extremely nice and well maintained i did some shopping around before and it was just as nice as some of the hotels that cost almost double the price as far as location its a 7 min walk from gondola one for those who are not aware that is the main gondola was over all very happy with everything and would highly recommend it to everyone
First time in Vail and The Wren was Just what I was looking for. Low key and away from the main strip, but close enough to walk. The staff was awesome from check-in to check out, anything we needed they were available to meet our needs. The walk over to the town center took 5 minutes which was great and if you ski they have their own shuttle. Hot tub and pool were perfect and their reservation sign up to use them was great with the pandemic going on. It's a little older than other places in town but it's updated and the room was very clean. The view from the balcony was awesome and the free parking was clutch. The staff did a excellent job of wearing mask and following guidelines while still making our stay a great one. Will definitely stay here again!
Must stay here!
My husband and I wanted to go to vail for a mini honeymoon weekend getaway, we didnt want to spend a lot of money on a lot of hotels I came across but feel that the Wren is a diamond there! My husband and I couldn’t believe what a great place we found for the price and discussed how super affordable this would be for a family trip. Our suite had a big master bedroom, private bath, living area, full kitchen, second bathroom, electric fireplace which was perfect, up the stairs was two twin beds in loft area which would be perfect for kids to sleep... and did I mention the wonderful private balcony overlooking the mountains and the creek. Perfect stay and we really enjoyed our time. The staff was very kind and accommodating to any needs we had. We will be staying here again! It’s close to all the shopping and right outside hotel is a short walk to Betty Ford gardens
Great view/location, but unit needs renovating
The location and view were excellent, but our unit needed renovating. The kitchen and bathrooms are 1980s/1990s vintage and showing wear. The master bedroom sheets were aged. The nighttime lighting outside the unit is very dim. I know from friends that other units are renovated, but you won't know what you get until you arrive.
Good trip!
Overall great experience, I would do it again!
Best deal in Vail. Will continue to go back to the Wren!
Best value in Vail
Horrible hotel. We were looking for a place to stay while we skied Vail, and the wren advertised itself as close to the mountain. It’s actually a 20-30 minute walk to the lifts in n ski gear. The rooms are very old, and smelled very strongly like way too much furniture polish and moldy carpet, so much it wa difficult to sleep. The ‘shuttle didn't run at all during the day, it’s one wheel drive and bald tires, and they do not run the shuttle in the evenings. We wound up walking to and from Vail Village 20-30 minutes each way to in a snowstorm, with ski gear and then again to go get dinner each night. There is no restaurant or food service near this property. Also The office didn’t open on time and delayed our checkout, so we were late to the gondola, and waited in a 50 minute lift line just to get up the hill. Staff was really rude to us and seemed angry about being there. If you value decent accommodations and nice people, Recommend you stay somewhere else.
Enjoyed our Christmas break ski stay!
The Wren is an older building, but the wifi, heating, plumbing, electricity, etc. worked great, so we were very comfy. It's a bit of a walk to the Riva Bahn ski chair, but the Wren provides convenient all-day shuttle service. Walking to center Vail for restaurants was about 10-15 min along a beautiful creek path. Service was exceptional! David the Asst Mgr was wonderful at helping us with a dead rental car battery, as was Bldg Maint pro Ben. Thanks!
I'll be back!
Staff was over-the-top terrific!!! View of mountains, creek & locale near Village for full moon Vail Oktoberfest wonderful. Hung a hummingbird feeder from porch & enjoyed the show! Accomodations very comfortable!
Great location and price. A little dissappointing that the rooms did not have coffee in them.
Perfect location. All the amenities.
The condo was excellent. Fantastic location 3 minds walk from Vail Village. Super spacious condo unit. Clean. Well cared for. Tasteful furnishings/ decor. All the amenities you could want: cooking gear, dining set, new refrigerator, microwave, large screen TVs a spacious living room. Great pool and hot tub area. Highly recommend.
The Wren location is awesome! We didn't like how dated the room is. The décor, dishes, furniture, bedding are awful. The owner of Unit 304 removed the deck which is the BEST part because the room overlooks Gore Creek. The interior was icky, it felt like an outdated basement. This is VAIL! Expected a lot better quality.
Great stay
We had a great stay at the wren. we stayed for a business trip so that I could teach yoga at the Betty Ford Gardens for GoPro. Great location. Condo is a little outdated but clean and functional.
The Wren has it all!
The Wren is in a great location in Vail. It has all the amenities you could ask for! Pool, Hot tubs, Towels & Kitchen appliances. Easy walk to Vail Village.
The Wren was very comfortable. The only issue was the shuttle stops running at 4:30 pm, so you either have to walk into and from the village for dinner, on not well lit slippery sidewalks, or take a taxi, Uber or Lift. My view of Golden peak slopes was lovely. It was Very clean, well appointed and quiet.
Well loved spot in a perfect location
The Wren is a well loved spot in a perfect location. Our unit had an updated kitchen and baths, but very outdated beds and bedding. While the underground parking was a plus, we arrived when it was snowing and the outdoor corridors didn't shelter us or our luggage from the snow. The shuttle to the base areas was terrific.
Spectacular location
The location was fantastic, service was friendly. The murphy bed was a littlw uncomfortable but perfect for a small family
Clean room beautiful view and great weather
Room 201 is Awful...Deceptive Photos
My family has owned timeshares at The Wren since the early 80s. The timeshare units that we have stayed in over the years, in general, are kept up and nice. That's not the case for room 201 (a 100% privately owned unit by one individual). That unit doesn't look like it has been updated since the 1970s. Red carpet, a bed that feels like you are sleeping on a box, generally very dirty, plumbing that doesn't always work, mantel falling off the wall, creepy 1970s "eyeball" painting on the wall, etc. Just a very tired unit, right down to the vent that doesn't work in the master bathroom and the wall plugs in the bathrooms that are so worn out that whatever you plug in falls out. I feel very ripped off knowing that I paid over twice what my family did for staying a week in a unit. When we asked The Wren to clean the unit the day after we arrived, we were told "you'll be charged the $100 cleaning fee." I told them that the unit was dirty when we arrived, so if there would be a fee, we needed to be moved to a different unit. They decided to clean the unit at no charge. We spent over $100 buying mattress toppers to try to make the mattress feel "normal". The one good thing is this "modern" unit has VCRs, so be sure to bring your old VHS tapes to enjoy a bit of nostalgia. If you decide to stay at The Wren, you should specifically request to not be placed in Unit 201.
Bad service
They didn’t clean the unit when we asked them about cleaning the unit they ask for 60 dollars per day and we ask for more towels they ask for 15 dollars We know it is the season and it’s summer but we need the service to be solid not changing with the season The front disk close early The other thing the unit need urgent renovation The only good thing about this property is the location
Room was nice but needs to be updated.
This place is dirty and the staff unhelpful.
I checked in and was directed to a room under the stairwell, behind the service/janitorial room with dark walls and a horrible layout which included needing to pass through the bathroom to get to another room and the bedroom to get to the living area or bathroom. This room was stuck into a dark lower floor corner. It could ruin a vacation. I immediately offered to pay for an upgraded room and the desk clerk at first said she would find me one, then told me no and that there was a 30 day cancellation policy. She then refused to let me speak to a manager or anyone else. Needless to say, I returned the keys and left. Avoid this place at all costs. There may be adequate rooms there, I’m not sure but the attitude and unhelpful demeanor of the staff makes it a really bad choice.
Great place to stay for family ski trip.
Great condo to stay at. The den was perfect for my kids (5,2). Love the view of the slopes. The shuttle service was excellent. The heated pool and hot tube were really warm and nice.
Had a great time at the Wren!! We will be back!
As Good as it Gets
Great location. The international staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good deal
Vail is super expensive to it was nice to have such a large space for the money with the amenities of hot tub and fireplace!
Great hotel, would have rated it higher but thought the beds were uncomfortable. That said, staff was great and location was near parks and trails which made it a convenient with the kids.
Hotel is close to parks and easy access to other parts of Vail. You can hear the creek from your hotel room! Hotel staff was very courteous. Only negative we encountered was very firm mattress, too firm for comfort.
Great stay in Vail
Love it here. Staff was friendly, hotel was nice and spacious as well as a short walk to town. Shuttle service was always on time. Really liked it.
Wren at Vail
Great location. Very convenient to Vail Village. Good price but you get what you pay for. No room service for 4 night stay. No sheets for pullout couch when we arrived late at night, and the pullout was in terrible condition- frame was broken and mattress practically unusable. But the hotel staff responded by giving us a second room at a reduced rate which was appreciated. The place is clean and the ski shuttle was very convenient and well run. I would stay there again but would make sure in advance that the room had a the pullout couch in good condition.
Nice facility and in a very good location. Beauti
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean facility with all major appliances provided. The layout of the condom was great for a family of four.
Great area and place
Love to stay there Easy walk to village - very nice path Ford park next to place is beautiful
Tired, pricey for what you get.
Pros - great view from our room. Cons - tired, bins taking up half the kitchen, no lids and not emptied in 5 days. Smoke alarm went off at 8 while cooking steak (not burnt at all). No staff and on calling maintenance, the woman said there is nothing we can do. Noise was deafening. I had to really push the point to get someone to help while waiting in the freezing cold outside. The place could really do with some live in staff.
You can skip this one
Expensive. Run down. We had four people. We rented a unit with one bed and a sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was broken.

Property was walkable to Vail village but had a ski shuttle that would drop you right off at a ski lift. There was also a pool and hot tub to enjoy.
