Seems way more modern than it looks like, and although it’s all inclusive, there’s nothing to do apart from the small pool and the jacuzzi is filthy.

This was my first experience at the jungle and I really enjoyed it. The fact that we had tours included every day of our stay was amazing. I really enjoyed the quietness of the place and how it makes you stay present. It was a wonderful experience

What an amazing hotel. It exceeded our expectations by far, everything was perfect - from the pickup at the airport until the end. The food was amazing, all the activities were fantastic, and the place is absolutely gorgeous. We loved everything, all the staff was great, specially Angel, who paid closed attention to us, always bringing us a new drink as soon as we finished one, and provided an unparalleled service. We will be back for sure. Only observation I would give is that there was one activity I really wanted to do (xul-ha) and they told several times there would not be an excursion there, and I know there were 2 while I was in the hotel. They should allow you to pick your excursions.

We were not able to stay at the resort. The location on the map is incorrect and the resort is not 8 minutes from the airport (it is more like an hour) Communication with the resort was attempted several times in several different ways and none were successful. A response came from the resort at 9:27 pm , much too late. We had to secure lodging else where. The physical location on the map is not a resort.

Loved the all inclusive part of having all food included including coffee delivered to Room at 7:15. Ok that had to walk to main hotel for wifi. Loved remote and privacy of the 42 Cabins and long path that you had to walk. Wonderful outdoor patio. Bike rental convenient ride to awesome Konulich Ruins in gorgeous jungle better than other nearby ruins. Pool nice. Night time activity for lake paddle just ok. Daytime kayak trip to a Balacar better. Awesome food. Nice open bar. Saw a monkey and many birds on property. Would come back!

Gorgeous hotel and setting - the staff was really professional yet so friendly and helpful. The excursions seemed well thought out and were very enjoyable. The room was beautiful, 1/2 of a large palapa with a lovely outside seating area, and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the all inclusive concept with the self service bar as well, and the food quality was excellent (always two choices for starter, main, and dessert for lunch and dinner, plus a variety of breakfast options). I really liked the intimate feel of the place - a good setting to meet new people but also to be alone if preferred.

Amazing resort! I wish we could of stayed longer.

I think this hotel is all about the details! The staff is wonderful and the different activities were very well planned and fun! Though there’s not too much around, you can use the hotel bikes and go to the ruins 2km far from the hotel or walk in the jungle in a path designed by the hotel. The pool wasn’t heated which might be refreshing and convenient for the regular sunny days with 35 degrees but we had a couple of cloudy ones (cold front) and weren’t able to use it.

Is an amazing place, and the guides and personal is very kind and friendly. I love the excursions, the one I love most is the kayak at night. The stars and the surrounding amazing.

Great experience, just mind your expectations

It's a nice hotel with a different concept. It's a small place in the middle of the jungle with outdoor activities that happens to be a hotel. Once you can get this into your head, you can understand that despite the staff's best effort in cleaning your room, there will always be a rogue bug flying or lurking around. Overall, I loved the experience. Doing the activities, being patly isoltaed, near the jungle. The hotel was clean and functional but it's definitely not an option if you have the highest expectations of a hotel: food is ok, spa is ok, the facilities are decent.

Best hotel in a 250 mile radius! Super friendly staff, unbelievable ambience, personal details like a morning basket at your terrace with coffee and homemade bread make you feel at home. Food at the restaurant was unbelievable at every single meal.

Incredible experience in the middle of the jungle!

If you want something different, an experience unlike anything you've had before, then the Explorean Kohunlich is for you! The hotel is all-inclusive, which includes planned activities each day led by staff. There is no internet or cell service in the rooms, but for those of us who can't live without, there is both provided in the lobby area, restaurant and pool area. The hotel is literally in the middle of the jungle. You can walk to some very interesting Mayan ruins... be prepared for mosquitoes and rain! The staff is gracious and very helpful if you need anything. There is a nice spa and the pool literally disappears into the jungle! The rooms are beautifully designed. Most are bungalows with thatched roofs and very comfortable beds. You have views and hear sounds from the jungle all around you. Each bungalow has a patio with comfortable seating, candles for the evenings, and even a hammock. The shower area has a door that opens into a jungle garden outside your bungalow! The food in the restaurant is very good, with two choices for dinner each night. A real treat if you want to get away from it all.

Beatiful hotel in the middle of the jungle!

We had a great time, ate delicious food prepared by excellent cooks! The activities organized by the hotel staff were so much fun, they were all incredible adventures where we get to be immerse in the history of the Mayan culture as well as the beautiful landscapes in the area.

We spent four nights of our honeymoon here. The location was great, so far away from anything busy, in the jungle, close to some amazing ruins. The spa was good but expensive. The staff was kind. It was great to order from a variety of meal options and receive good service. Our porch area was great for relaxing and listening to the sounds of nature.

THE ONLY THING I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH IS THAT WHEN I GOT TO THE HOTEL, THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF MY RESERVATION. THE SERVICE WDURING MY STAY WAS INCONSISTENT. THE FIRST DAY I FOUND MY BED WAS DONE AND COOKIES ON THE PILLOW. THE MORNING AFTER THERE WAS A TRAY WITH COFFEE AND BREAD IN THE TERRACE. THE FOLLOWING DAY MY BED WAS NOT DOE, THERE WERE NO COOKIES, AND NO TRAY WITH BREAD AND COFFE ON THE MORNING. APART FROM THAT, I WAS VERY PLEASED

For an all inclusive the food was terrible, you only had a choice of two plates for dinner, trust me both among the cheapest you could get. The staff was very polite and attentive to your needs obviously the kitchen staff needs a hand in this department. The pool is very nice, and if you want to see the ruins near by this is the place to stay. some what price for being in mexico and for what you get.

Wonderful experience!

We went to this hotel to see little visited ancient Mayan cities and to experience the jungle. Both were satisfied beautifully. The daily activities included some very special jungle experiences such as evening kayaking on a jungle lake with a wonderful surprise afterwards that I won't give away. The number one reason for our visit, the Mayan cities, was also well satisfied. The guides are truly wonderful...they are very, very knowledgeable about all the latest history and info on the Mayan cities and civilization, as well as the flora and fauna of the jungle. The hotel even arranged a tour for us that wasn't scheduled for that day to 2 Mayan sites we wanted to see. Can't say enough about the staff, they were terrific, from the guides, to the servers, the concierge, everyone. The hotel is comfortable and relaxing, the food excellent....it was all we expected.

Best way to see the southern end of the Yucatan

Great place for those who want to explore the southern part of the Yucatán without sacrificing comfort. Also great for those who want to disconnect from the internet, phone, and television. The daily activities were wonderful, especially the nighttime kayaking. The staff is unfailingly friendly and polite. They were very flexible with the menus and special needs/wishes. The grounds are positively beautiful.

Great jungle and Mayan ruin vacation

Wonderful location, the most greenery we have ever seen. The daily excisions were great and the guides great. The food was good, and no TV, or wi-fi was a blessing. There is wi-fi in the common area and restaurant, but they encourage being unplugged, which being a geek was a blessing. We'd definitely go again.

Amazing honeymoon location

We chose the Explorean for our honeymoon and could not have picked a better destination than this one. After the wedding craziness it was wonderful to arrive to such tranquility, intimacy and good service. Our bungalow was idylic surrounded by lush vegetation, colourful birds and wildlife. They serve the most delicious food here. Definitely different and highly recomendable. Worth every penny!!!! You won't regret it...

Quiet, secluded and a wonderful experience

Friendly staff. Good food and overall a very quiet and beautiful place. Quality and attention to detail is appreciated at this resort. However, activities and meals can not be compensated for, e.g. We missed the activities and meals for one day we went to a wedding in Chetumal, the actual reason for coming all the way here from Cancun, and asked if we could may be use the one meal we missed to move towards the lunch of the day we were checking out. It was impossible. Instead, they technically followed the rules and charged us for the extra people that stayed in some rooms. That was not discussed in advance but understandable. The rates are more or less calculated for 2 adults per room.

El staff del hotel es muy amable, igual que el de las actividades. Las actividades son muy bonitas y se esmeran mucho. Desafortunadamente, el hotel es ahora tambien un tiempo compartido y eso hace que la calidad de alimentos y mantenimiento sean deficientes. También, la velocidad del servicio en alimentos y bebidas es muy lenta, lo cual es una tactica para bajar costos en un hotel todo incluido.

Es un alojamiento muy cómodo y conveniente al incluir transportes y alimentos/bebidas. Sobresale al ofrecer un balance entre descanso y actividades de aventura. Lo mejor de todo es la atención del personal, quienes siempre te atienden con una sonrisa. Si buscas un lugar para desconectarte y a la vez mantenerte activo, esta es una excelente opción.

Fue una experiencia increíble tiene tours incluidos los tres alimentos están incluidos en la tarifa; el personal del hotel súper atento todos desde la recepción; camaristas, batistas, meseros y los chicos de actividades no se diga todo fue excelente. Como punto extra te llevan café con pan a la cama en una canasta de picnic y eso en la mañana en tu hamaca acostado está genial. Los tours no se pierdan ninguno todos están geniales y son para toda la familia además ya vienen incluidos dentro de la tarifa del hotel Adela Dña naturaleza está en la puerta de tu terraza

Es un hotel en medio de la selva, lo cual te hace tener contacto con la naturaleza. Nos gustó mucho que cada día te llevan a una excursión diferente, un día a Bacalar, otro día a una zona arqueológica, donde vimos monos araña en su habitat natural, otro día a una laguna en kayaks que se hace de noche y las estrellas se ven increíbles. En general muy buena experiencia.

Excelente hotel con actividades

Es un hotel con muy buenas actividades de aventura y el servicio del personal es excelente. Aunque ya necesita una remodelación de habitaciones y por ejemplo más camastros en la alberca, muy insuficuente. El colchón y las almohadas ya urge cambiarlos.

En general muy buen servicio, solo un poco de más cuidado con los alimentos respecto alergias o restricciones, aun con indicación servían los alimentos como hacían el platillo. La calidad de los alimentos buenos. Hicieron un pulpo para cenar delicioso. Un hotel muy tranquilo. Las escursiones buenas. Aunque pudieron variar un poco

El hotel es bonito, el personal es amable, pero está lejos de todo y salir no es una opción, si el plan es desconectarse del mundo está muy bien. Al salir a cualquier actividad los mosquitos son terribles.

El hotel está en medio de la selva, es muy lindo, las habitaciones están retiradas del lobby, pero es parte del encanto, son tipo cabañas, con su jardin interior, amolias, con terraza con sala y hamaca. Regadera de lluvia con vista al jardin. Todos los dias te llevan café y pan aprox 7am. Los tours son padrísimos, muy bien organizados y te consienten un montón. Todo el personal es muy amable y atento. Los guías excelentes. El Jacuzzi super calientito y la alberca templada. La comida muy rica, muy variado el desayuno y la comida y cena, tienes 2 opciones en 3 tiempos. Y siempre exite la posibilidad de que te hagan algo las sencillo, son super accesibles. 100% recomendable.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfait. Le design des bungalows et des locaux en général très léché. Le cocon parfait au milieu de la jungle (civilisée), le service -même si pas très dynamique- est souriant, les activités (kayak, lagune,..) très bien organisées et sympas MAIS un bon hôtel est un lieu où ce que vous pouvez vouloir vous est proposé et ici, il faut tout demander, du service des bagages au menu du petit déjeuner, 2 ou 3 fois pour qu'arrivent les plats des repas (il n'y a pas de menu écrit c'est ok, mais les choix sont oubliés alors qu'il n'y a que 2 plats -bons- pour chaque repas). Ça casse le plaisir d'être là . Ensuite on arrive dans un bungalow très agréable et en déplaçant un lampadaire on voit..des fils électriques raccordés avec du chaterton que l'on retrouve aussi sur la lampe de table...dommage s'il y a des enfants..! La visite d'un scorpion n'était pas prévue.. il paraît qu'ils piquent fort mais ne sont pas vraiment dangereux. Quand on a voyagé en Afrique on craint avec raison les scorpions qui là bas sont souvent mortels et quand on en trouve un sous son sac.... Ce n'est pas bien grave mais il serait si simple d'afficher dans le lobby un dessin des animaux que l'on peut rencontrer en indiquant qu'ils ne sont que pas ou peu dangereux.

Muy lindo lugar para ir en familia

Sin duda el hotel cuenta con instalaciones y ambiente en muy buenas condiciones. Siendo un hotel no tan nuevo, requiere mejorar algunos detalles en instalaciones. Pero lo que más requiere atención, es capacitación y actitud de servicio del personal. Tuvimos una muy desagradable experiencia, nadie compartió la información indicada importante de los servicios y actividades con que contábamos, hicimos rutas y recorridos por nuestra cuenta. EL Sr. Vladimir de recepción con una actitud nefasta, arrogante y burlona, no quiso revisar y confirmar que se habían reservado 4 habitaciones. Insistió en que solo 3. Pague una más, ya estando ahí, para lo cual no me apoyo, solo se limitó a decirme que lo haga en su página. Y al final de la estancia, después de yo revisar los cargos qué me hicieron, aplicaron la devolución de la estancia de una habitación, pues en efecto, si se hizo correctamente el pago de 4 habitaciones. Jamás explicaron qué en restaurante hay un menú del día, pero cuenta con opciones alternas variadas y en algunas excepciones el personal muy amable en restaurante. Las habitaciones algo lejos, pero comprensible por el concepto. Un familiar tuvo un accidente con una especie de contención o escalón, pésimamente colocado. Se confunde con el piso y se lastimó una rodilla. Comparto fotos para ver ese tema, qué después de este suceso, se le ocurrió solo pintar de amarillo. Cuando en realidad, deberían eliminar.

El nivel de comida y bebida por debajo de la categoría del hotel. Falta de variedad en el bar, falta de espacios para relajarse, falta de opciones de room service

Me encantó la privacidad de las habitaciones, las actividades incluidas del hotel y la amabilidad del personal. No me gustó que el restaurante está en mantenimiento y todas las mesas estaban en el lobby, lo que hacía incómodo el desplazamiento por éste.

Mucha aventura

Es un hotel muy distinto que los demás en lo personal nunca había ido a un hotel de aventura y ecoturismo, esto lo hace que sea más pequeño y que las opciones de entretenimiento en el hotel sean pocas. El personal del hotel (excepto el administrativo) son muy amables, son personas cálidas y que tienen muy claro el servicio al cliente, vayan consientes que se va convivir con la naturaleza al Máximo, en la habitación nos salió un alacran, arañas, sapos y mil pies, es parte de esta aventura, las actividades están muy bien organizadas y están muy padres.

Excelente hotel, actividades y servicios hasta que descubrimos que los piquetes que nos trajimos de recuerdo eran de CHINCHES DE CAMA, estamos ambos en tratamiento para eliminarlos y me parece grave que no cuiden ese aspecto de la higiene en el hotel ya que tenemos todo el cuerpo lleno de piquetes.
