It was going to be our first New Year's holiday, my wife marked the reservation date incorrectly, we paid 1000 euros, but they still didn't help to change the date, we didn't even get a response, I hope our 1000 euros were useful to you, we worked hard to save it

Misleading dress code

Great hotel complex with plenty of facilities. Nice location, good size room. Would have given 5 star if it wasn’t for this bizarre incident on second night. I wore closed top croc to buffet dinner to rest my feet but was told it didn’t satisfy the dress code and had to go back to room and change, despite seeing multiple people (male and female adults) wearing flip flops and sandals on the same night and other nights in the same buffet restaurant. I have no issues following dress code if there is one clearly stated and if the rules are not used to apply to some not others. Not claiming to be a frequent traveller (gold member with hotel.com nonetheless) but I have never been refused entry to a hotel buffet wearing crocs anywhere in the world.

We have visited this property before but never stayed overnight so decided, coming out of lockdown/pandemic, let's have a treat. It was wonderful, top class in every way. Lovely run hotel with lots of facilities and little treats all around the spas, not to mention the free minibar which was very much appreciated after a day skiing.

The resort is truly amazing. Slow and unpleasant service in the dining room. Check out was horrible- asking me to pay for my already paid via hotels.com reservation. Delaying my departure for 30 minutes.

The hotel had no AC and is surrounded by a cow pasture where they spray manure all over the field. The entire lobby and rooms had a horrible smell and were filled with flies! When I asked to be changed to a room with AC because I’m allergic to mosquito bites they told me sorry we have no rooms in the part of the hotel with AC.

Excellent experience - highly recommend!

An absolute wonderful experience. My family truly enjoyed our stay at Tauern Spa. The employees were extremely welcoming and were often observed going above and beyond to ensure guests had a positive experience. The morning and evening buffets and meal choices were delightful. The many pools were enjoyed by the children and adults alike. Despite the many guests, you could also find places to relax and unwind near the pools. My favorite was the panorama pool. The location provided exquisite views into the mountains and Pinzgauer hills. The nearby areas provide multiple mountain biking and hiking trails. You can also access many parts of the nearby national park by car, foot, bike, or ski lift. If you are looking for water sports, Zell am See is close and you can kayak, paddle board, or relax lakeside. We played hard everyday, ate well at the hotel, and slept well on comfortable beds. We will be back for the location, the amenities, and the excellent service. Thank for a top notch stay.

Romantic Getaway

Loved it! It is a romantic setting. The views are beautiful and the spa and pools are awesome! Food is great and service is even better!

Overall the property was great and I would stay again but there was a massive amount of construction going on both on the grounds and inside the restaurant area which was displeasing. We were completely unaware of this so it would have been nice to have a heads up. The waiter at the main restaurant was amazing - Stefan was an absolute pleasure.

A great place for rest and relaxation

I had a wonderful time at Tauern Spa hotel — I especially enjoyed the Panorama pool and breakfast buffet. I was not as impressed with the spa itself, which felt smaller than what I expected but still inviting and well maintained. I liked the layout of the hotel and parking was very easy. Service was very good but had to ask twice for a late room cleaning (maybe this miscommunication was my fault however). Didn’t try the sauna or spa treatments/massage. Found the lobby bar service excellent although we were there when it was not very busy. Beautiful scenery and well situated for adventures in and around Kaprun!

Many plusses, only one negative

Our stay was very pleasant. The place was lovely, the staff friendly, and the swimming pools were fun. The only issue I have is with the bathroom, the glass separating between it and the sitting area is needless and need to be covered for privacy, especially if you have kids. Needless to say that my 4 year old kept pumping his head onto that glass until I put the table infront of it.

The receptionist was lovely. The gentleman who took us to our room also was wonderful and explained everything clearly. The room was small and the double bed looked like two beds put together with two separate duvets. Our son had a weird sofa bed with many parts put together. When you pay so much money a night, surely you expect a better room. The room had no AC, it was so hot in the night, hard to sleep. They make you sit at the same table each day. When went downstairs for dinner and were put inside a boxed area, away from any view, it felt awful, but we said nothing as we were tired after a long journey and also thought that they would seat us somewhere else every day.When we came down for breakfast we were seated at exactly the same spot by another member of staff. I asked whether or not we would always be seated here during our stay as it is not a very pleasant place. She told us that 'there are people who are staying for 10 days, and they come before us'. Do you treat people according to how long they stay? She was rude, argumentative and offensive.In the evening Herr Haas the Maitre D' told us that 'we had complained about our table' I said we weren't happy that she told us that people who stay 10 days comes before us.Instead of apologising, he said 'no she did not say that'. I said to him that he wasn't there but my husband and I were. SPA pool, the sauna and the location of the hotel is nice however,if you are not treated with respect and dignity this means nothing.

Modern hotel with very good food and facilities

Seven night stay for skiing holiday. Short distance to a number of ski areas. English speaking staff. Spacious room. Covered parking - free. Large spa complex for apres ski relaxation. Excellent buffet breakfast - wide range - freshly squeezed orange juice and honey from a honey comb demonstrates quality. Half board included part buffet and part table service - excellent range and quality. Didn't eat much during days on the slopes.

Great hotel, pity about the evening restuarant!

The hotel is amazing. The facilities are top notch and easily the best we have stayed at in a ski resort. The only downside was the restuarant in the evening (breakfast no issue) as this shuts at 9pm?! Even the spa and pool are open till after 10! We sat down at 8:30 for our 5 course meal, only for most of the courses to have been removed at 9. There was no mention of this when we were seated, and how did they expect us to be eat 5 courses in 30 mins? We were still charged the same also and no apologies were offered at the time. Credit to the reception staff, who were always great, who sorted the issue out the next day and offered free drinks and bar food at the bar the next evening, which was served by a very apologetic restaurant manager and head chef, which was a nice touch. Would stay again without hesitation.

Excellent hotel at great location

Excellent hotel located conveniently close to kitzsteinhorn glacier and other ski hills. Amazing pool areas both indoor and outdoor. Nice separate areas for people who do not want to be disturbed by kids. Very good restaurant and service.

This is was one of the best resorts I have stayed in.

Location, location, location

Tauern Spa is located in Kaprun in a valley, surrounded on all sides by ice-clad mountains. The room we had overlooked these mountains. All rooms have a verandah, where you can sit and look out at the wonderful scenery. The bed also faces the glass doors of the verandah and you can sit in bed and face the mountains as well. The spa is the other feature, especially the Panorama Spa on the 3rd floor, which is only for hotel residents, again overlooking the mountains. The feeling of being in a heated outdoor pool, with your body immersed in warm water and the head exposed to 9 degrees Celsius, is amazing.

top relaxing fun

Great place. Very polite staff. Amazing view. Great pools. We took a few days in the summer to visit Kaprun. The actually city is about 15 minutes walk away but you can see the city and the mountain including the snow topped glacier from the hotel. Lots of food for both breakfast and dinner . The hotel was clean and well organised, everything you need for a relaxing stay - free bikes for bikiing around - paved bike lanes all around. Kaprun is a great place in the summer too. The hotel also organises day trips and activities for all the family so cant get bored, and is a great base station for popping over to other towns ( zell am see is 10 mins drive away - a must visit too). Try the see-through roof pool :) wow !

Hotel Fantastico

Hotel perfeito desde a chegada até o fim. Atendimento excelente. Spa e jantar maravilhosos. O unico senão é o periodo. Check in 16:00hs, chegamos as 18:00 e o check out foi as 11:00hs e não deixaram ficar nem mais um minuto.

Therme in sehr schöner Umgebung! viele unterschiedliche Pools; sauber, angenehme Atmosphäre. Zimmer sind geräumig, sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Essen (am Abend auch zum Frühstück) sehr vielfältig, ansprechend, hervorragend!!!

Wir waren mit allem mega zufrieden. Konnten unseren Welpen mitnehmen, Hunde allgemein sehr erwünscht. Aussicht und die Lage perfekt. Wellnessbereich sowohl für Hotelbesucher wie auch der öffentliche Bereich zu empfehlen.

Veel zwembaden voor zwemplezier binnen en buiten. Zeer uitgebreid en goed ontbijt. S’avonds aan de bar is er behalve drank niks te verkrijgen. Laten echt een kans liggen daar. Niemand blijft lang hangen. Je verwacht live muziek of entertainment in een Hotel met 170 kamers. Zo’n plaatselijke local kost niks. Staat een piano voor de show. We hadden twee kamers op verschillende verdiepingen. Ze hebben ergens iets niet goed gecommuniceerd want de ene kamer heeft wel wat lekkers (chocolade) op de kamer en de andere niet. Vreemd? En wat echt niet kan is dat minderjarige jeugd naakte mensen kan zien vanuit de sportzaal en de loopbrug naar de zwemlocatie. Die zijn daar helemaal niet mee bezig en willen zeker niet zien.

체크인 과정에서 사람이 도착하든 말든 짐이 있든 말든 주차를 지정된 곳이 아닌 다른 곳에 해두고(출입문 앞) 사라지든말든 신경 쓰지 않습니다. 투숙한 방 인근에서 인테리어 공사가 있었고 아침부터 큰 소리가 나서 잠을 잘수 없었고 관련 문의를 하자 공사가 있어 근데 왜? 하는 반응이었습니다. 내부 마사지 스파는 객실 대비 수용 capa가 너무 적어 투숙 일주일 전 예약해야만 사용 가능한 수준입니다. 그외 서비스 관련 매우 미숙하고 느려서 지내기 불편하였습니다.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut und schön gelegen. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Die Sauberkeit der Abluftschlitze in den Decken in den Zimmern Toiletten und der Abluftschlitze in der Decke des Restaurants ist verbesserungswürdig. Das Essen war meist gut, jedoch wenn man etwas später kommt hat speziel das Essen in der Showküche etwas abgegrast und nicht mehr sehr ansehnlich gewirkt. Da hätte man ruhig mal die Behälter wechseln/verkleinern können. Aber das ist dann auch jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Fantastisk udsigt, spa og mad

Vi boede på hotellet af to gange. Første gang i et Panorama Deluxe værelse med udsigt til bjergene. Fantastisk! Min søn sov på en sovesofa bag os, som desværre var så hård, at han måtte rykke ned i vores seng. For dårligt til den pris, at alle ikke kan få en ordentlig seng at sove i. Vi havde bestilt halvpension, hvilket virkelig kan anbefales. Der er en kæmpe morgenmadsbuffet, og til aften er der en lige så stor buffet, og derudover serveres der hovedret og dessert ved bordet. Vi fik et gæstekort, så vi kunne køre gratis med offentlig transport (der holder en bus lige udenfor døren, så det var virkelig nemt). Derudover kunne vi med gæstekortet få rabat på de mest populære oplevelser i Kaprun og Zell am See. Der er et kæmpe vandland, som også er åbent for offentligheden. Men derudover er der adgang til flere forskellige spaområder. Et i forbindelse med vandlandet, hvor børn også må komme med, og et på hotellet, som kun er tilladt for folk over 15 år, da man skal være nøgen i saunaen. På vores 2. ophold boede vi i et almindeligt panoramaværelse, som vendte den modsatte vej end første gang. Der var knap så spektakulær udsigt, men stadig rigtig flot. To minusser var der dog ved dette værelse. Der var et stort vindue ud til badet, så hele værelset kunne kigge ind, når man badede. Og sovesofaen var for kort, så min 12-årige søn kunne ikke være i den. Ifølge receptionen var den kun beregnet til børn op til 9 år, men vi havde altså fået det alligevel… Ingen air condition.

Good spa, room was ok

It has various choices for spa as well as warm outdoor spa pools with the mountain view. Room condition and breakfast were ok, but there were a couple of things to make us uncomfortable. All the stand lamps were out. They forgot to put extra bed and amenities even though we booked for 3 persons. We had to waited quite a long time to get it done.

Fantastischer Aufenthalt im SalzburgerLand

Wunderbares, langes Wochenende mit meiner Partnerin in einem geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ambiente. Das Spa bot alle Vorzüge mit Massageangeboten, das Essen war ausgezeichnet - vor allem recht abwechslungsreich. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot ein reichhaltiges Angebot mit frischen Früchten und jede Menge an unterschiedlichen Zutaten zu einem gelungenen Tagesbeginn.

Eine Reise die sich lohnt!

Es war ein absolut toller Aufenthalt. Als Hotelgast hat man einen eigenen Bereich, der wirklich toll und empfehlenswert ist. Jede Sekunde des Aufenthalts ist besonders und es ist jeden Cent wert! On Top gibt es zusätzlich ein wirklich atemberaubendes Buffet, sowohl Frühstück, als auch Abendessen! Und auch die Cocktailbar zeigt sich von seiner besten Seite. Die Cocktails, von der Barkeeperin professionell gemixt, schmecken genauso gut wie sie aussehen und sind preislich vertretbar. Das WLAN ist zwar schlecht, aber man soll ja auch genießen und entspannen und nicht den Tag am Handy verbringen!

Sehr erholsam mit super Essen

Der Aufenthalt war super. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und man kann hier wirklich erholsame Tage genießen - aber auch Outdoor einiges erleben. Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr groß und vielseitig, sodass es für uns wirklich ein entspannter und erholsamer Aufenthalt war. Abgerundet wurde das ganze mit einem sehr sehr guten Frühstücksbuffet und eine grandiosem Abendessen (Wirklich lecker und sehr viel Auswahl). Für den Preis haben mir jedoch ein paar Kleinigkeiten gefehlt (z.B. Wasserkocher mit Kaffee und Tee auf dem Zimmer oder das bei Verlängerung der Therme beim Abreisetag alle Bereiche genutzt werden können). Deshalb ziehe ich für das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis 1 Punkt ab. Ansonsten ist es m.E überaus zu empfehlen

Tolle Therme

Tolle Therme. Von den vielen Pools hat man einen schönen Blick auf das Kitzsteinhorn. Das Skylinepool ist eine Attraktion. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Kleinigkeitrn zu bemengeln

War sehr schön.. Und das essen war super.. Nur die fenster waren leider sehr schmutzig im essensbereich... Weiters war der balkon von der witterung grünlich verfärbt.. Und schade, dass wir am nächsten tag direkt nach dem frühstück aus dem zimmer mussten (11uhr spätesten auschecken) und wir weder in der öffentlichrn terme noch im spa des hotels verweilen konnten.. Die weitere benützung der öffentlichen therme wäre nur für einen aufpreis möglich gewesen. Somit sind andere thermen und spas vom preis-leistungsverhältnis exklusiver!

Es war ein schöner, entspannter Urlaub. Allerdings fand ich schade, dass wir am Anreisetag nicht den ganzen SPA Beriech nutzen konnten, sondern nur jene, der auch für Tagesgäste gedacht ist. Ebenfalls war es sehr ärgerlich, dass wir am letzten Tag ab 11 Uhr aufzahlen mussten, um weiterhin die Therme benutzen zu können. Beim Abendessen fand ich das Buffet wirklich sehr ch sejr gut. Bei der Auswahl des Hauptganges muss ich lsider sagen, dass ich das Gefühl habe "sie wollen exklusiv wirlen, schaffen es aber nicht". Das könnte man definitiv ausbauen.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Tauern Spa...das Essen ist legendär...von der Auswahl bis zum Geschmack... Wir haben nur einen Wasserkocher im Zimmer vermisst ...

Sehr schöne Zimmer mit schönem Ausblick. Frühstück war hervorragend. Leider ist das Angebot an Aufgüssen für die Anzahl an Gästen nicht so gut gelöst. Gerade jetzt zu Zeiten von Corona, ist eine Sauna nicht ausreichend.

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Hotel Sehr schöne Zimmer! Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden Service im Restaurant Top Service beim Checkin und im Spa-Bereich sollte unbedingt aufgestockt werden (wirkte überarbeitet und kam kaum mit der Arbeit nach) Spa-Bereich fürs Hotel etwas klein und lieblos! -> Spa-Bereich für alle Kunden aber super!

시설 최고급 지은지 얼마안되가지고 참놔 시설 좋습다 다만 매인은 요리들이 정말 짭쪼름 유럽의 맛이며 일반 뷔폐는 정말 상타치입니다. 하프보드 추천. 스파 시설들 너무 좋고 뷰 대박. 냉정하게 유럽 2년차 직장인으로써 조식 4.5점 석식 4점 입니다.

Supe Kurzurlaub!

Es war ein richtig schöner Kurzurlaub. Das Hotel sieht super aus, beim frühstücken und Abendessen wurde man richtig verwöhnt. So eine große Auswahl mit vielen regionalen Produkten. Kommen gerne wieder!

Die Unterkunft sowie die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt.

L'établissement thermal est parfait, au-delà de tout ce qu'on a connu avant, très reposant, multiples piscines et saunas, petit déjeuner et repas très bons, buffets ultra copieux, nous avons passé trois jours en autarcie sur place.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Grosse Vielfalt und sehr gute Qualität. Zum Frühstück gab es frischgepresste Säfte.

Es war ein wunderbares Wochenende. Was allerdings etwas schade war, dass der Spabereich vom Hotel schon um 20 Uhr geschlossen war.

Qualitativ sehr hochwertiger SPA Bereich. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Abendessen ok... schöne Zimmer. Alles in Allem war es ein toller Kurzaufenthalt und kommen wieder... 👍
