It was peaceful and beautiful

We enjoyed our stay. Lovely cozy place with sound of running water of river nearby.

Less than perfect Stay

We have stayed 3 times. The first and Third trips were difficult as they were upstairs units with 60 degree stair incline 16 stairs. The second trip was a cabin experience which was wonderful. My recent knee surgery made us check out of upstairs room. Just to painful. We stayed 7 nights of the 8 night stay.and forfeited Last day . The facility needs private handicapped parking. We also did not have River access or barbecue pit access. The balcony chairs were beach level chairs. Expensive stay with no amenities.

Right on the river

This place is absolutely perfect. You cannot get a better river view in your back yard! The cabin was super clean and had everything you might ever need.

Amazing property with beautiful views, so close to RMNP - would recommend to anyone visiting the area! Got to even see hummingbirds almost every morning

Warm & cozy

The weather didn't cooperate which of course was not the property's fault. The bed was not very comfortable for me, a bit too firm, so it was tough for me to sleep well. Other than that, it was a great place with good people. We had an amazing trip and this beautiful property was warm & cozy.

We love staying at this property. The owner is so accommodating and kind which makes every stay that much more enjoyable.

Beautiful

Very beautiful view of the river and the sound would put us to sleep at nights. No A/C but you don’t need it because the weather is so mild. We live in South Texas so we didn’t figure it would be that nice first of June.

Was stellar

I loved this place. Clean, quiet and had great outdoor activities. Close to town. I would stay here again.

We loved how quiet the area was. There were even homemade cinnamon rolls for the guests! Not a lot of frills, but definitely clean, convenient, and owners were friendly! Will stay there again!

It was in good condition, quiet and beautiful. We spent 4 nights. My wife and i enjoyed sitting out by the Big Thompson and walking in the area. One morning there were deer just outside the cabin. Hope to go again sometime.

The cottages are located right on the water. They are quiet, and clean in the perfect location…especially if you want quick access to RMNP or fishing spots. We will be back :)

Fantastic place to stay. Hosts are great. Can't beat a mountain river right outside. The rooms are big and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Nice refuge near civilization

Great place to stay away from the commotion in town. Clean, comfy, peaceful water sound from swift current flowing behind lodges. Hummingbirds all over too.

Amazing!

We loved it! It's in the mountains and there is plenty of seating to enjoy being outdoors. My favorite part was reading beside the river.

Swiftcurrent Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. I loved the the cozy room. The fire place was an excellent touch. The staff was friendly & welcoming. I enjoyed staying here more than the larger resorts I have stayed at.

Quaint Cottage in Estes

Andrea and Donna were very nice. We had a late check in. They had a bottle of wine waiting to greet us as we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. The room was quaint and sure enough right by the river/stream. SwiftCurrent is centrally located to everything yet far enough away from traffic etc. Hot tub wasn’t in service which was ok but could’ve been cool to sit in along the beautiful backdrop. The ladies are only onsite for a limited amount of hours. So you do have to catch them if you need something.

The owners and staff of Swiftcurrent Lodge were welcoming and pleasant. According to the owner (who works on-site), she bought the property a year ago. They have done great things with the place and I will definitely be back. It was nice, quiet and only 5 minutes from downtown Estes Park.

Loved my stay. Our only gripes would be the bathroom in cottage 12 was really tiny, the shower head didn't flow well, and the hot tub wasn't that hot. But maybe I'm just spoiled from the bathroom at my house. We will be back the next chance we get!

Love how relaxing this place was and how close it was to everything! It was very peaceful!

I LOVED our stay!! Rooms very clean, wonderful and friendly staff! Loved the hot tub, very nice after a long day of hiking and the seating area with the grill and fire pit was very nice! Keep in mind when you stay in the smaller hotel like rooms that there is no stove so you will have to either eat out or buy food to cook on the grill!

loved being so close to the river and falling asleep to the sound of it!! Cabin was neat and clean and hosts were awesome.

Seating near the river felt limited with signs saying reserved, except for our room. A refresh of the coffee each morning would have been good. Felt like an older time fishing lodge, nice.

Swiftcurrent Cabins

The most comfortable cabins and relaxing. The owners and Gary are all so welcoming and helpful if there is anything you need. There is no housekeeping. The dirty towels are to be taken to office and get clean ones .There is a vacuum , broom and dust pan to clean the cabin with. So if you are not self sufficient this is not the cabin for you

This place is wonderful! We had a cabin right along the river, slowing us to leave the door open all night to listen to that sound. Bed and pillows were comfortable. A very peaceful even at full capacity. Staff was friendly, and we even had a deer walk right by us while we were in the hot tub. Bonus: a hummingbird nest right outside our cabin!! We highly recommend it!

Beautiful spot. My room was about 10’ from the river! I was late, but late check in was super easy. Clean room!! Will be back.

Staff was absolutely amazing to interact with and had no issue offering suggestions for outings and answering questions. Loved the river flowing right past the lodge! The surrounding area was not developed and nature lived freely all around; it was a great escape! Would recommend to anyone! Had excellent cell service with AT&T which was another plus! Thank you Swiftcurrent Lodge!

The scenery is amazing. The Cabot was very clean and the hosts are wonderful!

Hidden Gem

Off the beaten path. Very cozy and rustic location, but with great amenities - wifi, tv, kitchen. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Great location. Friendly staff..we enjoyed our stay and our room overlooked the Big Thompson River which was delightful!!

Swiftcurrent Lodge is located right on the Big Thompson River. They have chairs set up along the river bank. The sound of the water is very relaxing. The view is perfect.

Comfortable lodges in the forest

Modern updated lodges and cabins on the river, barbecue pits provided. Very close to Rocky Mtn National Park, there is even a trail that leads to the park. We enjoyed seeing the river rush by our unit and hearing it at night. It would have been nice to sit on the patio, if it hadn't been covered with snow. Our second stay here, we will be back.

Andrea was most welcoming & efficient-she had our reservation right in place & handed us the key w/ a few suggestions & directions. The "cabin" looked to have been updated, very clean & neat. The bonus of being right on the river was so exhilarating to listen to through the night. There is a tiny counter area w/ small but ample refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker.. Andrea provided suggestions for different hikes just nearby. Delightful accommodations that are out of the ordinary...not a hotel room!! We will refer to others without hesitation. Thank you!!

Just ok

We were on the 2nd floor so we had no access or view on the river. When I walked down by the river there were tables but they were reserved but only for the rooms that were right there, not ours. Plus the room was pretty small.

There was some miscommunication about our late arrival check in but luckily, one of the on call staff members was quick to correct the issue. The property is beautiful overall. We stayed in cottage 12. The only negatives for that particular unit is that the loveseat in the living room is extremely uncomfortable (no padding left in the cushions) and the floors in the kitchen area are kind of warped so that you're walking at a bit of an angle in different parts which actually made me a little "sea sick" the first night. The staff were friendly and the unit was cozy outside of these couple of things. We would stay here again but would choose a different cottage that faces the river next time.

Another wonderful stay at Swift Current Lodge

Had another wonderful stay at Swift Current Lodge. Even with COVID restrictions, it was very pleasant. We had a nice clean room with a comfortable bed. We especially enjoyed the peaceful location next to the stream and national park. The host was very helpful and pleasant.

The lodge is in an excellent location. The front desk was very friendly and was helpful.

Awesome location by the river and the hot tub is a nice touch! Clean room and a very friendly staff.

Nice and low key. Lodge rooms are a little small but suited our needs. Very convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park Beaver Meadows entrance and Estes Park. Vey quiet and scenic view from our balcony.

Most beautiful place. We drove around all of Estes Park and wouldn't want to stay at any other cottage we seen. The owners of the property are wonderful and very helpful during our stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place close to downtown Estes Park. Love this place and we will definitely be back.
