Planning a return already!

We only got to stay one night but we are planning a return trip! The facility was really nice, peaceful and felt like home. The sports facility was great with a very large pool, basketball, pool table, and an amazing workout facility including free weights, etc. This is a worldmark location so there are some limitations if you are staying in the lodge vs. being a member. But overall loved it.

Resort is ok. Not as many activities/amenities as described online.

Good: Serene surroundings, onsite restaurant, friendly servers, incredible shower pressure, comfy beds, good A/C, generous-sized mini fridge/freezer Bad: “Deluxe room with Mountain/Golf view” was situated atop restaurant’s unsightly and noisy mechanical equipment and view was partially obstructed, no balcony as Expedia photo depicted, no bathrobes as Expedia stated in description, no in-room microwave, non-working ice machine on 2nd floor, no water glasses or coffee/tea mugs in room. P.S. No fault of Running Y, of course, but be prepared for mosquitoes if planning to eat/relax on outdoor patio in the summer.

California to Oregon

Went to a wedding in Merrill, Oregon and found this great place to stay in Klamath Falls. Nice little cafe, Joyful Cafe, had a wonderful chef. We played pickle ball, swam in a nice indoor pool, did some shopping and hiking, it was great! We even saw deer on the property. It was perfect, we would definitely come back.

Beautiful setting. Restaurant food has improved over the last few months as well.

Great place to unwind.

This is a beautiful property with some nice amenities. The staff are courteous and professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but there are minor signs of wear that need to be addressed. Our initial room had issues with the thermostat and the door casing in the bathroom was warped from excessive moisture. I requested to move to another room. The second room was much better, but also showed signs of wear-the toilet seat needs to be replaced. The restaurant on property is convenient and the food is good, but service was slow. There seemed to be only two staff members taking care of everyone during breakfast which resulted in slow service. It took 20 minutes to get my coffee. Overall it's the nicest place to stay in the area and it is beautiful. I would recommend this property.

The location is really nice. The rooms are ok, but not as nice as the rest of the property. The staff is very friendly. They allow dogs and the one in the room next to ours was barking quite a bit. That was annoying.

Great property. For a last minute booking we were very surprised. Great trails to walk with the dog. The golf course was amazing. Service at the restaurant was so slow and the food was just ok in the lodge. We did hear from other customers that the other restaurants were better. The BBQ truck at the golf courses was excellent. About a 45 minute drive to the south gate of Cater Lake National Park.

The facility was very clean and nice. My room was located at the end of the second hall, which I thought would be nice and quiet however, we are located by the doors by the stairs, which meant we could hear every door slam as people came in and out. I don’t know how people got a balcony, but I would’ve liked to have had a balcony and I think it would’ve been nice if they would’ve told us about some of the events going on, but we had to hear from people around the premises. I wish that they had had a microwave inside the rooms, but overall a good experience and I would definitely go back.

The house was musty smelling, carpet dirty, big ants coming up through downstairs shower drain. Just not what we expected. The mattresses are also hard as a rock.

Great place to stay

Beautiful resort! My only regret is we only had 1 night there. So we will be planning a family vacation there in the future. Amazing place in the Klamath Falls area!

3rd time staying here, 1st time during summer season. The staff are friendly. However the restaurant for both dinner and especially for breakfast was understaffed. For dinner took a long time but nice waiter and we weren’t in a hurry so made the most out of it. Breakfast, bar tender/waiter was very rushed, felt his stress and at times practically running back and forth. He was nice and the food was good. Basic items missing (had coffee, he was sure to bring creamer, asked for surgery and drank most of my coffee before he returned) had to stir w/my fork because no spoon was added w/the silverware bundled in the napkin. However, you can tell he cared to give good service to all. Would go back and stay again but may do something else for dining if I see they’re understaffed again.

Our stay was enjoyable. We were able to use the facilities at the gym . The staff were Very nice . The place was clean. Just a small nail on the deck sticking out . My sister put a bottle cap on it after she step on it . Also propane tank was out of gas. .we were able to get out own tank , then enjoyed the view from our patio .

Beautiful facility. The restaurant was very good and the view was nice. Pool was also very nice.

We had a great stay! Place was beautiful. My only complaints would be the gardeners out at 7:30 am with Weed Wackers on full throttle!! We were on vacation!!! The restaurant- food was good but service was a little lacking. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would definitely stay there again!!

Great place and friendly employees

Liked everything about our stay. Restaurant was good and we enjoyed the gym. We also walked a path around the property one morning, Staff was great and we got a good night sleep.

I travel alone from Sacramento to Bend and this is a great place to stay, safe, great food and views, running trail, swimming pool and golf - I don’t golf but beautiful course

Found this place as a last minute stop. This property is gorgeous! We only stayed for one night, we will definitely be back. My only complaint was the smell from the cleaning supplies was very strong

We gave this place another chance. Due to the rudeness of the front desk staff, we will not be coming back. There is no basic training on customer service, being nice and having a smile on your face. It really makes a difference. Maybe they have some sort of bias against people of color. Because they were quite chipper to greet the caucasian man in his Titleist hat that was before me. Also, every female that works at the Ruddy Duck, hosts, servers and bartender, were more interested in standing around gossiping as opposed to greeting guests. Literally stood right at the bar top in front of them for 2 mins before being regarded. The hot tub is worthless now that those jets don’t work like they used to. Overall not worth it!

Friendly staff, beautiful property and great water pressure.

A very nice place. The onsite restaurant was good and reasonably priced. For me an ingenious feature was the vinyl plank floor in the room. I have been to so many similar upscale places with carpeted rooms and the carpet was invariably stained, worn, and dirty. The vinyl floor was clean and a nice runner was added for decor but was easy to clean and spotless. I wish more hotels would adopt this. The bed was huge and comfortable. There was a TV and a coffee maker (pods), but there was fresh brewed coffee available in the morning until 9am. The guests have access to a fitness center with a nice weight/cardio room, a pool and sport courts. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Accomodations were okay. The resort is showing some wear. Golf course was hit hard from the previous winter and we passed on playing.

Felt like a vacation

We had 6 of us for an OIT baseball game. We rented one of the 3 bedroom houses. It was so nice to have a comfortable, homey feel. Would stay again!

This property is outside of Klamath Falls but not so far that you can’t commute to enjoy meals and shopping in Klamath Falls. The property is very nice however the resort features were oversold. We arrived only to find that the pools and hot tubs were unavailable and the weight room was to be renovated. They should have told us before our arrival. The staff were otherwise very accommodating and efficient.

Nice views, but the fridge in our room had a knocking sound ALL night, both the service & food at the restaurant downstairs was horrible. Probably won’t stay again.

We always enjoy staying at the Running Y especially during Christmas when we stay. Also the young man who arrives early for work in the morning and handles the coffee is absolutely amazing and deserves a raise. He is friendly and makes our stay pleasant each time. We also bring our Sally dog and she loves visiting!

Just okay

Rooms didn’t feel luxury for how much they cost. Beds were hard. Cut a 3 night stay to 2 nights because the accommodations were just average compared to 200 a night price tag. Electrical outlet in room didn’t work. Overall it’s a nice place but the room just didn’t seem any better than an average Hilton room for 120 a night.

The resort was beautiful and the house was also. Wish there was a little bit more outside privacy how we when staying on a resort it was to be expected.

The staff here are outstanding. Facilities are very nice, with a lodge-like feel. The bar staff were friendly and the drink selections were impressive for a smaller bar. Very reasonable prices for a resort. Definitely would stay again.

Our room smelled like wet dog the entire stay.. Wallpaper was unraveling throughout the room, grout in bathrooms were definitely dirty, headboard in our room was scratched and not in good shape. Overall, staff was good but the room could have been much better if they’re trying to compete with a resort like Sunriver for instance. The property itself was dead, no stores except the convenience market was open. Overall probably wouldn’t come back.

They do not have a privacy available when asked. However they ask to see personal information like your drivers license. You have to walk outside and go to another building for the fitness center and pool, but it is a nice pool.

Nice resort!

Beautiful resort! Small restaurant and no tables, so we just ordered takeout. Noisy neighbors, but that isn’t the resorts fault. Wish we could have spent more than one night.

Very nice hotel. Front desk staff (Eli) very pleasant and helpful. Room was very nice, clean, quiet and the bed very comfortable. Disappointed we only stayed there one night. Would love to go back.

Best place to stay in Klamath Falls

Schedule time to enjoy the resort

An outstanding pleasant stay that was too short, giving me no time to explore what is clearly a well equipped resort.

The place is ok, at best. After playing golf the car was so hot in the unshaded parking lot that my makeup, deodorant etc melted. Checkin at the hotel is not until 4pm so you have to leave your stuff in the car if you came for golf. There is no marshal on the course so we were very behind because of others are taking their sweet time. Then ppl are on your tail and watching you put. Reception was not much welcoming. The restaurant Ruddy Duck, does not give reservations to guests staying at the hotel a preference so we were sent away and told “maybe” at 7pm we could get seated. We came back at 8pm finally were seated. Food was alright. Cheeseboard not impressive quality. Salad was great, ribeye was overcooked and potato mash was oddly sweet. Staff was very nice and attentive. We were told that the hot tub was broken. Lastly, the market has a stressed out unfriendly staff and the breakfast burrito was absolutely bland with a “taco sauce” packet thrown in the bag that they called “salsa” lol! For a $300 plus hotel room (nothing impressive) and close to $300 for a round of golf, its not a “resort” I would revisit or recommend.

Great except for the 12:30am false fire alarm

Great Resort, I definitely recommend it 10/10 if staying in the Klamath Falls area!

My family and I needed a place to stay overnight near the Crater Lake. We were happy to find this resort. The hotel room itself was dated and could use some upgrades. The hotel staffs are polite. The resort is so beautiful outside. Wish we could stay longer to enjoy the scenery.

It is a place to relax.

Property is in a beautiful setting. Staff was helpful but clearly for the cost of the room I would have expected some sort of service to take our bags to our room. No such service. Facility itself is showing its /- 30 Year age. A freshening is in order. A

Hotel is very nice overall and staff are very helpful. Location is remote, being in the country and 15 minutes from town, but it is very quiet and beautiful. Rate is a little high but you do get what you pay for as we felt it was worth it overall.

We just did a quick overnight on our way to Washington! The room was comfortable the bed very comfortable and very clean! Love the restaurant and the servers

Pet friendly just have a lot things to do with my best friend in this property and for my family and my enjoy nature and many activities close to there thanks and see you next time!!!

Lovely property in a quiet location.

The property offers fantastic views of the golf course and the views of the golf course from the rudy duck's restaurant patio are amazing, especially at sunset. The service at Rudy Duck is lackluster though. The personnel tries its best but was overwhelmed - on the evening of our arrival we were not able to get dinner as the kitchen closed as the kitchen was under staffed. The following days were not much better - the next morning we waited a literal hour to get our breakfast order ready. This was a recurring problem for the rest of our stay - to the point that we decided to get our breakfast at the Market instead. I don't blame the staff but I blame the management to not have sufficient staff during the busy 4th of July week.

This is a great place to stay, but the Ruddy Duck Restaurant has gone downhill. The food was late being served and the pasta was lukewarm. This used to be a good place. Hopefully they’ll turn it around
