Staff was lovely and make great cocktails. Room was really small and zero WC privacy. Perfect for one... Two could be awkward. Safe didn't work and by 10 am there was no hot water. But it's a great location, away from noisy center but still close enough to walk. Very close to chic shops. Hope on subway right at door.
Good little value hotel.
Great location, friendly staff, delicious but small breakfast. Swapped room cleaning for free drinks which was a regret on day 3, although drinks were delicious! Rooms are basic, no International TV. Communal mini-bar for Tea/Coffee is a solution but not ideal when you’re ensconced in your room.
Great Hotel in perfect position for town.
Great location, people and bar. Fix the checkin.
The Check in process was really annoying. Self entering all my details name / address / passport / date of birth etc into this stupid iPad where all of this info was already saved on hotels.com is totally mid / wack / crap. Combine that with waiting for a receptionist who also goes away to serve drinks as a bartender makes for a garbage first impression. Add to the this that I had two single day reservations so I had to go through this crap process twice. Let’s be clear I hate this check in process. Fix it please. That aside - the staff were great and were doing their best from morning to night.
Great location, confortable room
You can't get to most of room without stairs. The floor in the hallway is un even and it is not visible.
Really a cool hotel. Room was great. Bed comfortable. Shower awesome. And it’s so close to everything you want to see and visit yet super quiet at night. Staff was super friendly 6/6 of them were amazing.
Great stay. Rooms are very clean. Modern design. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice ambience. Location is great.
Nice property
Atmosphere is very nice, secluded and quiet but perfect location. Stuff is extremely helphul and friendly. Zboth night and day crew Haydi rocks!
Really fun trendy hotel. Service was great.
A home away from home
We discovered the Ruby hotels in Zurich last year and enjoyed the stay so much that we decided to stay in one of the hotels in Düsseldorf this year. Excellent choice, we stayed in a well equipped room, with high ceilings. The location is perfect for a stay in the city, central and close to everything. The room was well maintained, the option to get hot water for our tea very much appreciated. The staff is quite friendly and supportive, making the stay enjoyable.
Love it!!
Great hotel, great location
The location is amazing, right on top of a nice shopping centre and near everything you might need. Walkable distance to the train station. It is a bit tricky to find at first - there is no entry from the street, if you come through a courtyard there are multiple stairs you have to carry your luggage up, or once you know where the exit into the shopping centre is, you can avoid the stairs. However, my room was on the third floor which I had to take stairs up to, there was no avoiding it. If you struggle with stairs or have heavy luggage, please keep that in mind.
Great D'dorf option!
This hotel was great--super location in central Dusseldorf. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants plus public transportation. Rooms are small but efficient. Breakfast is great and mostly the staff is incredible.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Clean tidy and well equipped. Really good breakfast and in perfect walking distance to U bahn and old town. Also have a luggage room that we used. Emailed ahead to say we would be arriving before 3pm and if we could leave our bags and they sent a message to the hotel and when we got there our room was ready at 12.30 really impressed.
I enjoyed my interactions with the hotel staff and I found the guitars to be a unique touch.
unique style and very friendly and helpful staff
Fantastic hotel, close to the shops and bars
Love to stay here. I like the vibe and the location.
Nice hotel in a good location. Rooms are rather on the small side (better for one person not two!), but exceptionally clean and beds comfortable. Nice bar and seating area where reception is. Not always easy to find staff in reception/bar area and service friendly, but functional rather than 'going out of the way' to be helpful.
Great hotel
Stayed 6 days for a business trip. My room was very comfortable, loved the Galley they have with free tea and coffee 24/7. The lobby, rooftop, and breakfast area are also very nice. The breakfast was a bit pricey, but it was also very good. Overall, I was very happy with my stay, one of the better hotels I‘ve been. Would definitely stay again. And of course would recommend.
Great concept hotel
I personally love Ruby hotels… their locations and uniqueness is the main attraction.
Absolutely lovely hotel.
Great Boutique in the heart of Dusseldorf
Location is perfect. Not one block away from the famous KO with all the incredible shopping. The boutique hotel is a bit tucked away from the main road so it is quite and hidden. There is a great coffee/bar lounge for hanging out. Has both indoor and outdoor space. Rooms are small but very comfortable. I was there for 10 nights and will definitely return.
Small room, great location
Rooms are small, but clean. The bed was comfortable. Noise was not an issue. It is very conveniently located.
All aspects amazing Great staff Great location Rooms lovely
I recommend this hotel. Only breakfast could be more varied.
Enjoyable stay
Center if city, clean, polite stuff, modern
Nice and Great
The hotel is nice with good services, room and food
Very interesting decor depicting fashion alongside a music theme. Very friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms and a great bar area.
Perfect location, very friendly staff, room was perfect for a weekend city break!
The hotel markets itself as "lean luxury", but there's a lot of the "lean" part and none of the "luxury" parts. Weird room layout, small duvets, extremely bare room. On the upside - location is hard to beat.
Great location, Modern and Funky.
Great hotel, great location, modern and funky, not like a traditional German hotel. I would recommend it to anyone.
Great location. Very small but well appointed room.
Quirky, friendly and centrally located
stayed 3 nights and found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the music theme which included the Marshall amp converted so that I could play music from my phone through it. I was alone on this occasion but my partner plays guitar and said he would have taken them up on the offer of a guitar loan. Comfortable bed, modern spotless bathroom and blackout windows ensured a great sleep. Breakfast was varied and tasty also. Enjoyed it so much I have just booked their Vienna hotel for a winter break 😀
I loved the location and it was clean and modern. The rooms are small, but elegant. The hard thing was 1) finding where to check in and 2) many stairs to drag a suitcase up. More if you are on the 3rd floor as there is no elevator to that floor- but it is not a full staircase up. Even to go from the elevator that is the first one you come to downstairs to get up to the lobby/bar is a small set of stairs. Luckily my suitcase was not heavy.
Don't pick up the phone or reply to messages. Have chased ref getting an invoice and said it gets sent automatically. Refused to print copy at reception. Rooms are clinical and weird.
I booked and prepaid with breakfast for their largest room (the loft room) for 7 nights. After 2 nights, there was a bad water leak right above the bed. So they moved us to another smaller (not equivalent room). I asked for a similar room or a refund of the price difference between the rooms for the 5 remaining nights. They said they will refund the difference. I followed up 3 times. It's been 2 weeks and still NO refund on my card! There are many stairs in this hotel and you have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. They have an ice machine and vending machine room where they attached a tiny ironing board to the wall with a small electric iron (not steam) so you have to take your clothes to that room and wrestle with that iron that either doesn't do the job or burns your clothes! I gave up after two attempts. The second smaller room they gave us was next to such a room so a lot of noise! The ironing board was attached to the shared wall. One night I thought it was an earthquake) and when I looked out the room I discovered someone vigorously trying to iron her clothes with that iron so I told her we are trying to sleep! They can have a guitar amplifier in each room but can't have a decent iron in each room?! Lastly, using the bathroom and shower behind glass walls and doors in front of your family is an experience I do not recommend nor will I ever repeat! I do not recommend this hotel. Never refunded me the price difference between the two rooms.Expedia do something!
Very good hotel. Excellent service.
Very good hotel in an excellent position. All staff were extremely helpful and professional. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The one thing that let it down was a broken lamp in my room that was not replaced in the three nights I stayed although I didn’t mention it to them. I assumed housekeeping would have picked up on it. Overall I enjoyed my stay there and when I return to Düsseldorf the Ruby Coco will be my first choice of hotel.
The good things the hotel inside the mall so everything close to you, hotel is clean and quiet but the breakfast was very very small
Fun and fresh hotel in great location
I can see why people like this hotel... it’s modern, trendy, great location and the communal areas are really fun. The bar is nice and there’s plenty of varied spaces to grab a drink and relax. We stayed in a wow room which had more than enough space, with a very comfy bed and a lovely shower with fabulous shower gels (they smell amazing!) A few words of advice before choosing this hotel would be that the sink is in the bedroom. It’s clearly shown in the photos so just make sure okay with that, and also the shower is exposed to the rest of the room with a curtain that only covered one side, so if anyone is walking around the room the get a full show as you shower! Okay for couples, as we were, but if you’re in a twin room check you’re okay with that. The toilet is covered with tinted glass so there’s some privacy but you do see a silhouette of your roommate on the loo, so check you’re both okay with that! There are communal drinks spaces on each floor but they are quite easy to miss (they have teabags, hot water, vending machine, but no coffee or milk). We didn’t eat breakfast as other friends staying said it wasn’t worth €17. Each day we tried one of the local coffee shops (3 within 2 min walk) and had lovely brunches. Overall location is great. Go for a wow room or above if you can as they give the best space.
This would fall into the category of a boutique hotel. Is in a great location near the Old Town actually situated over the entrance to the KO Mall, walk-able from the central station. I word to wheelchair users, there are steps at the main entrance, the barrier free entrance is through the mall entrance and through a set of glass doors about 50m on the left. Staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Barrier free room and roll in shower were great. In room safe and guitar amplifier if you should need it.
Really enjoyed the modern and boutiquey feel to this place. The breakfast was great and the staff were cool. It is a bit awkward layout for the rooms, and they were a touch on the small side, even for a European hotel, but overall, it was an enjoyable stay.
Many positives!
Just steps from main boulevard, easy walk to Old Town, subway station on the corner. There’s a shopping mall beneath the hotel with good breakfast options. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, mostly everyone speaks English. It was an excellent choice!
Loved the concept and execution (guitars, cleanliness, staff)
Efficient & super friendly staff make stay unique
Ruby Coco is a modern efficient and very slick process hotel in the centre of Düsseldorf. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Quirky decor throughout. Comfy bar/lounge open 24 hrs. Combined bar and reception team makes so much sense and saves tiime for all. Galley kitchens on each floor available for tea at all times. Good selection for breakfast including quality organic items and several vegan options. It made staying in a hotel an experience in itself rather than just somewhere to sleep. Very comfortable beds and fantastic use of space in the bathroom with glass cubicle shower and toilet. Great value for money. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again without considering any other hotel.
You won't be sorry!
Great location for visiting Christmas Markets! Easy walking around. Wonderful character! We had a quiet room very close to the bar. Every person we talked to who worked there was friendly. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Great hotel midway between the central station and the old town. Walking distance from all the Christmas markets. Rooms were minimal and luxurious. The clear glass shower was a real talking point and the iPad and iPod in the room were a nice touch too, not to mention the Marshall Amp. We didn't eat there bit the bar was nice and the staff friendly. I enjoyed the free guitar. Would have no hesitation in staying at the Ruby Coco again,
Great location great hotel very modern
Hotel location is excellent in ko street, inside a mall
A wonderful stay! Very creative and artful hotel! Very well situated and has Bar/Lounge and Breakfast area on facility. Enjoyed our stay.
New hotel. Very clean and well laid out rooms. Good breakfast. Staff is very attentive and willing to help. Very good hotel.
Perfect location, 2 min to metro station, walking distance, appr 10 min to downtown/river. New hotel, very good breakfast. Great staff. Be aware of glass shower. Small rooms are indeed small, but well laid out. Overall very good hotel.
Well worth a look
Three colleagues and I were working in Dusseldorf and found this hotel through Hotels.com. It was modern, clean, friendly and well located, with a very good, tasty and varied breakfast available. We all agreed that it would be top of the list of places to stay if we come to Dusseldorf again
Quirky stay in central Dusseldorf
It’s a really unique hotel in central Dusseldorf, loved the ease of self check in and the funky room.
Modern and new hotel in a great location
Cool hotel, great location. On a business trip and not really set up of business travel. No 'tabs' so have to pay for everything as you go (painful to keep all the receipts) and room small to work in. The only really downside is that the hotel opens into a mall, and people can get into some of the wings of the hotel without passing through the hotel front desk. Great public areas so I could work out there. No gym in hotel but they offered passes down the street.
Very good central location, friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended.
Located within Kö mall the hotel is clean, quiet and staff are excellent.
Ot for the business traveler. Hard to find entrances, Musty smelling, No wifi working, electric issues, bizarre room setup, had to carry bags up stairs, mostly self service. Maybe Ok if you want a place at the mall and dont need much. Checked out after 15 minutes.
Quirky modern hotel
Great modern hotel. A little difficult to find as it is located in the KO mall. Lots of funky perks such as guitars to borrow, an amp in the room and great smelling toiletries. Breakfast was good but a little limited in choice - no hot options. Beds comfortable and the room was spotless.
Great location. Cool interior, nice and clean. Some of the late night bar staff not very friendly.
One night stay
Very nice modern hotel, waking distance to alot of downtown dusseldorf/Altstadt area. Clean room and very attentive staff. Be careful about parking if needing to leave early on Sunday
Good stay
Brilliant
Very cool hotel for a fantastic price. Location is perfect for experiencing Düsseldorf and the bar is an unappreciated gem in the heart of the city.
Stylish and cool!
Great place to stay in Düsseldorf Fantastic room, stylish, functional and comfortable. I’ve nothing negative to say. Look forward to my return very soon
Good location
Room a bit small but nice and clean. The hotel is well located for the City Centre. Wouldn't bother with the breakfast option as it's very limited. Plenty of cafe's near by to eat.
Will hope to go back there one day
The staff is really friendly and helps you through all the touchpoints at the Hotel.
Great location and atmosphere
Excellent location and wonderful atmosphere. We got to check-in as soon as we arrived around noon. They have the option for self check-in what I think is fantastic.
Great Hotel in Perefct location
Fantastic hotel in great location. Room was spotless, great shower, big TV, check in was easy, will be back for sure
The Best Hotel in Düsseldorf
Modern comfortable rooms. Guitars to strum. Organic food. Helpful staff. Shower get that smells delicious. Clean and in a great location.
One of the best city hotels
Best little city hotel, small rooms but great design and clean! Service was great location great!. Really nice organic breakfast. This hotel was way over my expectations! Only minus difficulty to park a car if you have one.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location
Hotel was really modern and clean throughout. Reception were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely stay here again.
Nice hotel with electric guitar included
Nice hotel on a floor of an office building in a central location in the city. One entry was from the shopping center and the other via a small yard from the street. From the inside the hotel was very noce and modern with a nice bar. The room was rather small, but also very modern with the shower behind glass walls. In the room there was a Marshal amplifier and both electric or acoustic guitars could be borrowed from the reception. Breakfast was excellent.
Die Einrichtung. Sehr Modern und gut für Influencer
Top
Trasferta di lavoro Super colazione Ottimo bar Posizione fantastica
Modernes Hotel.
molto bello
NO NO Go find another hotel
Very hard to find , over a shopping arcade, most of the doors especially the one going to garage area is locked. Have to carry luggage from the elevator over the stairs This supposed to be a Hostel
Gute Lage, sauber, freundliches Personal
All good!
Great hotel and lovely area!
top
Pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. First impression walking in gave me good vibes, the people at the reception were very nice and are also the people working at the bar. Place is looked after properly and the room I was given for one person was bigger than I thought, I had more space than I actually needed! Loved it and I would definitely recommend it.
Worst Hotel
The worst hotel that I ever seen in Germany. Totally dirty, noisy and very strange place. Too much insects were moving around.
Top lokatie&kamer, geen koffie/koelkast/snacks
Frisse, moderne en toch knusse kamer. Handige indeling.
The location was quite convenient. Service was friendly. Room was clean and clean. Breakfast was good too.
Ter de fazer um próprio chek- in é desagradável
Sehr freundlich und sehr zentral , dadurch etwas schwierig mit Parkmöglichkeiten unter der Woche. Sonst alles Top
Alles bestens
We’ve had a wonderfull stay at the hotel. Everything you need is whitin approx. 5-20 walk. Location is perfect and the staff is very kind and helpfull. Staffmembers Lina and Antonio helped us with everything we needed, which we are very thankfull for. See ya next time!

Very practical hotel, the crew in the reception is too young an un experience
