Another great stay in a well equipped pod. We'll be back!

Compact Pod

The pod was great just for 2 nights anymore would be a bit claustrophobic. The facilities were great. Only down side was the bed was uncomfortable, needed a memory foam topper. Definitely 4/5 from the 2 of us

The pod was fine, nothing onsite the town was a short walk away with a co op ,pubs and shops . The local chippy was good for a take away. The wi fi was terrible we had to repeatedly had to sign in eventually I gave up and didn’t get the zoom meeting I was waiting for so phoned in instead.

The stay was nice and homely

2 nights in Rothbury

2 night break to get away from the normal weekend. Great location with pubs/food in walking distance. Rothbury and the surrounding area is beautiful, within easy reach of the coast. Swift S pod was great, just enough, didn’t need anything else.

Rothbury pods

Another fabulous stay in a well equipped pod. Great riverside location with lots of places to visit on the doorstep.

The staff were great, the pod was lovely the only thing was getting up to it and back down was steep and quiet slippery. Apart from that was a great stay

We stayed in one of the Swift Pods at Riverside and loved every minute. We got a really helpful phone call before arriving to ensure we had all the information we needed. The pod itself was exceptionally clean and the use of space is genius. We really appreciated the beautiful, peaceful surroundings, too. Highly recommended

This is the fifth time we have stayed in the s pods and we have enjoyed every one of them. Absolutely ideal for what we want.

Great location, quiet site, comfy pod for a short

We enjoyed the local area especially the coastline and history, a great location and a hidden gem of an area

Lovely spot for a quiet getaway

Cleverly designed pod and well equipped in a beautiful setting with a single car parking space outside. Safety barrier dropped in the evening at site enterance operated by fobs attached to your keys. Pod was a little tired in places, our bed needed a new mattress as you could feel the springs but an extra quilt for padding did the trick! Gated decking made it safe for the little ones to play outside. Short walk into the village which has a few takeaways, lovely restaurants, cafe's, shops and a co-op. 2 amazing national trust properties close by and the nearest beach in Alnwick just a 12 mile drive away. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

A cosy place to stay for a few nights. Compact but great use of all space. Lovely to be able to walk to great restaurants like La Mensa.

Rothbury Riverside August 7-11 2023

A comfortable family stay in a very luxurious pod. Weather could have been better but still was able to sit out & enjoy the space.

Lovely clean pod ideal for a few days break with my 2 little ones.

Great location. Lovely property. Decking and patio furniture were dirty on arrival. However staff jetwashed it immediately- excellent service. Would highly recommend

Beautiful little site. The Pod was quirky but functional. Only downside was no cooking Ada ivories other than a toaster and microwave but we knew that before booking and it didn’t stop us having a great time and an excuse to eat out haha

Lovely pod. Could do with a bit nore storage or hooks to hang things up. Brilliant location. Would recommend and will stay again.

Great pod and location

Great location and facilities in the pod were great for a family. Lots of places to visit locally, including National Trust.

Very quirky, has everything you need. Very well thought out design! In a lovely area with plenty of things within reaching distance.

Enjoyable 3 Night Stay in lovely Rothbury

Overall the pod fulfilled our requirements for a base to tour the local area, however the 3 nights would be our maximum as it is pretty small. Cleanliness was excellent, with all bedding and towels provided.The fold down bed wasn't particularly comfortable however we still slept well enough. The bunk bed is really only really appropriate for youngsters as there is not much headroom to the ceiling....yes I tried it :-) Bathroom is a good size with a decent shower, I assume it's a combi boiler as no issues with plenty hot water. We would definitely have appreciated a slightly larger TV for those quieter evenings after a busy day. Wifi reception was good however it was a bit slow and you had to login in every-time you returned. The park itself is on the river side and is very quiet and peaceful. Rothbury is a lovely village with some nice shops, decent pub/restaurants, a great Italian restaurant and a good bakery that also sells filled breakfast rolls. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return but probably to a full size caravan next time.

Smooth easy checkin and out. Fantastic little home for a few days for four of us. Was used as a base really. Couldn’t fault it. Would definitely go again. Short walk to village.

Bank holiday weekend

Had an amazing time, lovely little pod beautiful views of the forest. Would highly recommend, in a perfect location for walks and a stones throw away from rothbury centre. We will be back x

Northern adventure

Had a awesome holiday , some much to do and central for everything

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Rothbury. We asked about what we could do locally, there wasn’t a great deal, except we did enjoy a visit to Cragside which was 5 minutes down the road. It’s a good location for visiting other areas in Northumberland- more like a base to go out and explore. Rothbury itself is small, but pleasant. We ate at the Turks Head and that was lovely. The pod was as expected- compact but had what we needed. The shower was powerful, there was a small kitchenette and just about enough room for a family of 4. The only downside to the pod was the fact our toddler couldn’t really sleep on the too bunk of the bed and the springs in the main bed mattress made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Had a lovely stay in Rothbury, the pod was clean and comfortable, but would be cramped with 4 people (even if it was 2 children). The staff were friendly and helpful. Think it was a bit pricey at £102 per night.

Brilliant 2 night stay, ingenious Pod!

Really enjoyed our 2 night midweek break, the site itself was lovely and quiet. Location was perfect and a 15 min walk into Rothbury; especially when you take the stepping stones across the river! The pod itself is ingenious, very clever indeed and can not fault its design and comfort

Five Star Stay

Absolutely excellent stay. The Riverside Rothbury team were friendly, polite and offered great service. The pod we stayed in had everything and more that we expected. The shower was really good, powerful and hot. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a weekend for two or two plus kids.

Pods

Nice stay for a couple of nights. Would be better to get rid of the bunk beds and fit a small kitchen/cooker in the space. Can’t see how 4 people could be comfy in their tiny space. Feel if I said anything more it would be nit picking. Would stay again but only one night on route to somewhere.

Great 3 nigjts

Had a really good time, pod was just right for 2 people, in an ideal quiet location. Staff (pam) very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and camp site.

Lovely break

Lovely staycation. Rothbury is lovely. We stayed in Pod 1. Minor annoyance with the small mosquito like flies at night that would enter the pod, other half was bitten quite a bit, but due to the lovely weather and the trees, this couldn’t be helped. The trees also caused quite a lot of bird poo on the decking area which wasn’t ideal with a 14month old. Overall lovely stay and would recommend to family and friends for a mini staycation.

This is a great base to explore from with views of Cragside. Pam saved the day by providing all the information we needed for a fantastic stay.

Very compact pod: extremely clean and well thought out. Slight problem with fridge requiring defrosting-but otherwise everything you could need for a self catering stay.

Very happy with the accommodation and location. Everything you need for a short stay. Well laid out and quiet area. Rothbury is a 5 min walk with plenty of shops, pubs and places for food. Cragside is a must at only 5mins drive away.

Clever little accommodation. Small but comfortable

The pod was what it said on the tin. Small but cleverly designed to give maximum storage and comfort. Heating worked well, shower excellent and Towels etc provided were good quality. Unfortunately we had a couple of issues when we arrived with a broken toilet seat, fridge door, lack of sink plug but these were sorted after a visit to the office. However, the pod hadn’t been cleaned to the standard we would have expected in these times. The bed had crisps under it, stuff left in fridge from previous occupants and toilet not clean. Good job I took bleach and anti-bacterial spray. Owners very apologetic and pleasant.

perfectly appointed Pod

Lovely secluded getaway. Friendly staff in the office. Swift Pod was perfectly appointed and clean. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to explore Rothbury and surrounding areas.

Cute pods in nice area

A cute little pod, compact with everything we needed, including electric heating if it got cold. Nice surroundings in a lovely village.

Little hoot in Northumbria

Just ideal for what it was being used for, tried all beds. Bunk and double quite close for comfyness

The Pod was deceptively spacious and cleverly designed, with lots of storage, comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. The site is quiet and pleasant and the staff were very helpful. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

Enjoyable stay

Great camping pod situated in a good area of Rothbury. Pod was modern and home like. Pod held 4 people however it would be very small for 4 adults and is more suitable for a family of 3 or 4. Good facilities and in a quiet, safe location. Would definitely return.
