The stay was nice. It could use some updating as in usb plug ins in thr rooms.

Cozy, friendly and great value

Fun town, comfortable motel run by super nice people. We had a room with a refrigerator and microwave, and a REAL coffee maker. It's about a 20 minute drive to Ha Ha Tonka park. There's a fantastic dog park less than a mile from the motel. We had a lot of fun and highly recommend this place for the money.

The bed needs to be replaced. I have never stayed at hotel that didn't have little fridge till last night. Worst bed I have ever slept in.

The desk help was very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is in serious need of new chairs and floor, bathroom, and wall remodeling. The price is reasonable if you just want a quick overnight to stay in

Staff very friendly breakfast typical but good the rooms were clean give all that ten out of 10, but we had pets so we had to get a pet friendly room which is fine, but unfortunately they did not let us know that the pet friendly rooms have the world's most uncomfortable mattresses in them. Could not sleep a wink on them springy, hard and looks like they're from the 1900s. I honestly think sleeping on a boulder would have been more comfortable. I hope they're regular rooms have better mattresses but I won't be back to find out.

Overall everything was good for my stay. I guess you need to call the front desk if you want your room refreshed. (Fresh towels, replace coffee, etc)

We have stayed at this hotel several times before.

Nothing

They continue to raise prices but don’t spend a dime on upkeep. Place is filthy, carpet dirty, not enough outlets for boats and outlets in room so wore out the cords won’t stay in.

Would not go back

The shower curtain was so gross that it was sticking to itself. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain. The hot water spout on the coffee machine in the breakfast area was so coated with corrosion/hard water deposits that it was nasty to even look at, let alone use. No elevator in the main entrance of the building. Bed was clean and comfortable. Did not use the pool area, but it appeared to be clean and well maintained.

The property was ok. There was no wi-fi, had to ask for an updated channel guide, and the continental breakfast was donuts and bagels. Kind of expected more.

Older property but well maintained. Hot tub was excellent for relaxing in the evening. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The ladies at the front desk were very polite and helpful with accommodating us about good restaurants and tourist attractions.

You get what you pay for I guess. The staff were really nice but we weren’t impressed with our room at all. Shower was gross, temperature was hard to adjust too. No fridge or microwave was a surprise we ended up buying a cooler and ice for some sandwiches to not eat out every meal. Never had to do that when spending over $100 a night before.

Reserved a non-smoking and got a room that was penetrated with a deep odor of heavy cigarette smoke. Carpet was dirty with several big stains and the pool's water quality was lacking chlorine.

Property was in need of maintenance. Staff were great though. Very accomadating.

Had a great stay. Staff was friendly. Pool areas were great and we slept great in our room. Definitely will be back!!

Room is quiet good and need to maintain cleanliness in swimming pool.

The room needs updated very badly!! At first site it looked clean however there were French fries on the floors and many wrappers under the bed. Also the beds felt like a pull out mattress!!! But for the price we paid it was adequate. The security also needs some work!! The key for the exterior door had to be turned a certain way for it to lock after key was removed.

The beds are uncomfortable and the free breakfast was donuts coffee, milk and orange juice not very impressed

I like that Quail's Nest Inn has a pool inside and outside for the kids. All the things that we like to do is so close for driving and walking. So convient.

The breakfast was great. The pools & hot tub were wonderful. Staff was friendly & helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Found food pieces on the floor, the extra door stopbat top of door was broke.The room had a smell to it

Convenient stay.

This is a great value hotel with indoor, and outdoor pools, and close to shopping and food. Some rooms also have a view of the pool, and some have a view of the lake.

Like that it had real keys to get in and not cards

Just needs a bit of updating and possibly a fridge and microwave but clean and good staff

Beds are horrible, pillows are old and hard as rocks, no service in rooms, noisy, no elevator, musty.

Room was very musty/mildew smelling... Had a big splatter of 'something' on the wall about 6-8 inches long by the phone that had not been cleaned before renting. Looked to be spit / chew / vomit!? No room service. If you asked for towels, you were supposed to take all of the others up to the front office!?

The only thing was we wished it had a fridge and microwave other than that everything was great

While our stay was not horrible, it was just not ideal either. But sufficient for a place to lay your head for 1 night. The bed was saggy and very uncomfortable. The buildings definitely need some renovating done. And the continental breakfast they said was served was a joke. We walked in to bagels & mini muffins along with coffee, juice & milk.

Rooms are clean but very date4d. Our phone didn't work. Was reported to the front desk. Bed wasn't comfortable. Despite all that is was convient to our stay plans. Need to modernize rooms.

Just wasn’t updated everything was old and need to get better mattresses. Didn’t trust leaving our belongings in the room while we were in there felt like someone could easily unlock the door.

Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The property could use some updating, but we felt safe and our room was clean. The check-in and check-out process was very easy the pools are nice. Overall, we were very pleased.

Terrible

I arrived a little early and she told me that check-in was at three, I came back at three and he didn't have a clean room, they gave it to me at 4:30. The room smelled and felt damp, it's basically a basement, the lobby staff have a bad attitude, terrible stay, not recommended

This hotel was perfectly adequate for the money.

Excellent service/hotel-just needs a hot breakfast

Staff were friendly, room was more than adequate, very clean. Comfortable bed with actual thick pillows. The a/c worked well. The only downside was the breakfast-donuts and bagels. A hot breakfast would have been nice. The pool was also very clean. Overall-we’d totally stay here again.

Lovely stay

After reading the reviews I was sceptical but I’m all honesty it was perfect, a little dated but what can you expect for the price, staff very friendly which is half the battle. Breakfast ok again but nothing special

We notified the hotel that we would be arriving late. When we showed up late at night, we had no problem checking in, but when we went to our room the door was standing open and the room was a mess (bedsheets askew, towels on the floor, etc.). In short, it had not been cleaned since the last visitor. The concierge said she would clean it personally if we would wait an hour. We got a refund and left instead.

Musty and Moldy

Arrived and checked in, within 10 minutes of settling in, the water and electric went out in the room. We went to front desk, they already knew, moved us to another room. Ok, not the end of the world. The new room was smaller, both beds/pillows stunk. Mold all over the hallways and windows in our room. Was told another room was. Ot available and no refund could be issued. We toughed it out, but a very poor experience.

The location was good, near a grocery store, outlet mall and restaurants but the facility was dumpy. The carpet had stains all over and the bed and pillows were not very good quality. The towels were cheap, there was only one bar of soap for the sink and shower and the room didn’t smell fresh.

My room smells like cigarettes, and for the amount of money I spent just to get a plain ass room that stinks without even a mini fridge is ridiculous

Our room look and smelled like some had a bad case of hangover carpet was not vacuumed semi fresh vomit satin on floor by the bed that was not cleaned up. Flies in the room that just kept appearing. We decided right then that we were not staying there I fed my baby and went to check out we where there less the 30 min go to the front desk to let he lady know she says she was going to go look at I fallow her show her and she reply’s that we can not get a refund bc we sat on the bed and it need to be redone. To which I replayed there is vomit on the floor you need disenfect this room. She just walk out and told me to have a good day !!

Pretty run down rooms we had.Started at one on top floor moved downstairs! Beds sucked, were not comfortable at all I did sleep hardly at all for 2 nights! . Rug torn up in some areas, lots of stains on carpet, shower drained real slow, smelled damp and musty in the room, fridge wasn’t hardly cold at all. Dirt and grime in the corners

Great place to stay

Room was clean staff was friendly. We went to a concert at Ozark amphitheater. It was like 20 min from there. Good shopping and places to eat close to the quails nest

The room was clean. Furnishings were outdated (bathroom fixtures were harvest gold!) and the mattresses appeared to be old (but they were still fairly comfortable). The grounds were attractive and appeared to be well maintained. So overall, it was a nice place to stsy.

Stayed in room 314 and the room had Bed Bugs.

The bed was really uncomfortable & the freezer part of fridge needed to be defrosted because everything froze. Other than that it was nice

2023 visit

Staff was friendly. Room was not ready upon arrival. Big gap under door to room had to stuff a blanke in. Gaps around air conditioner daylight coming thru the wall. Shower head had lime build up and half clogged. Tub drain was slow to drain so you have to shower fast or you were showing in standing water. Tub had stains in the bottom. It seamed as the whole 2ed level had a slope to it.Candy and trash under the bed. Was un aware that a microwave and refrigerator extra. While waiting pn room to be finished we warched them cart the microwave and fridge out. The chair at the table was so loose and wobbly i was afraid to sit in it.

Weekend getaway

The property was average. Our king room had an unexpected adjoining king bed with a sink and balcony, which are rare here. The balcony was nice for our guests who smoke. There are no elevators so be prepared to lug your bags up and down stairs. There was a discrepancy between the website which said the pool/spa was under renovation so we missed the opportunity to bring swimwear. Overall a safe and clean space that shows signs of wear and tear located right on 54, convenient to many stores, shops and restaurants.

Spend a little more

This place is in need of some major repairs! The room we were in you could feel the floor boards giving way!

Our stat was ok one of the reasons we wanted to stay was for the indoor pool and hot tub. However we were told that they don't get enough business in the winter for them to keep the indoor pool open and I was rather put off by that. We also asked for two rooms and they were on completely opposite sides of the property.

Need more convenient electrical outlets. Parking cramped.

Make certain you get the newer section

We were out in the old section. The room was run down. Floors were lumpy and the beds were so old the mattress bounced when you sat on them. The door jam allowed so much cold air in the room that we had to turn the heat up to 80 and it was still cold. I will say for the most part the room was clean. Found a Cheeto under the bed.

It's a good place.

When we came to check in I read the sign about pets which read to let them know so I did. The lady attitude was very rude and nasty. She kept banging on the keyboard as she was talking to us. Never asked what kind of dog we had just saying rude nasty things. Then when she saw our dog was only 3pounds and tiny she tried to change her attitude. The room was not clean empty newport packages everywhere, sticky candy on the bed it was overall horrible experience

I stayed one night before my reservation was very nice. I had reservations for night tried making it first night which was Tuesday was caught in Storm in St. Louis and didn't make it call the next day to apologize and was snidely told I charge you for the night I tried to explain but so check my account and yep you took my money out Will never recommend or stay here again Night

Decent hotel for the price. Bigger room but no refrigerator. Rooms could use some upgrades; very clean though. Bed was great. Couple of restaurants right across the street which is convenient. Office staff was very friendly! Overall, we would stay here again.

This is a no-frills property, but was clean, quiet and comfortable at a reasonable price. It has a convenient location with a couple of restaurants within walking distance and much located nearby. Our stay was in the off-season so the indoor pool and hot tub were closed down, which was disappointing, but otherwise our stay was very pleasant. We would definitely return.

Attended a convention at the lake

Seems like they were in the process of remodeling. My room was nice and clean, comfortable beds, had plenty of towels and wash cloths.

I am an iraqi war vet and was traveling with my service dog..they didnt want to accomodate my service dog whom also works as a fire rescue K-9. Didnt feel like we should have to take a 2nd class rating and make us stay in an un wanted room location.So we left

Nice little stay

This place is very dated. Now with that said the staff are super friendly, helpful and always available. The pool area indoors needs updated but was still nice to use. The hot tub was relaxing. For the price this is a place I would stay again. We were not looking for the most updated place but a place to relax and enjoy ourselves before the Big Bass Bash.

the hotel room was very musty, i have allergies and was unable to breathe due to the mold and mildew..the carpet was stained and dirty, the beds seemed wet,,

I did this review once the day after my stay. Change your email to NOT follow up with people who have already commented. Website says pet friendly , no mention of extra charge. No “pet” rooms available when I checked in. I convinced them to let me stay with my small non shedding dogs. Towels threadbare Windows so fogged over with grime on outside you could barely see out Shower curtain bent and covering cracked and worn Coffee pot made apot of light brown water so weak it didn’t even smell like coffee. No elevator to 2nd or third floor Couldn’t get to my room without passing through the pool area either at the occupied ground level or through skyway above in the super humid walkway in pool room. Only entrance not through pool room was closed. Contenintal breakfast was some boxes of doughnuts or bags of bagels with cream cheese. Community Jug of milk or jug of orange juice if you wanted to get it out of fridge and pour a glass. This was the 2nd worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The worst had roaches,,,,this one did not.

The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean. Would have like to see more towels in the room for 4 people. That is my only complaint. Enjoyed our stay will be going back

It smelled like cigarettes, also there was any parking available. people just put their lawn chairs to reserve the parking space for which they did not pay and management is afraid to say anything.

Carpet was very dirty, trash under the beds.

The fact that they don't have camera surveillance in the parking lots. I had a hit in run incident.

The bathroom shower curtain was gross. Mattress was very lumpy and pillows were flat.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The location is convenient.

An older property that hadn't been updated for a long time. Still use door keys and didn't really feel secure. Staff was friendly but rooms were musty and basic. Bathrooms especially need updating.

Nice friendly people and good location.

Not the best experience

Our experience was not so great. This place needs a lot of updating. Mattresses were worn out, sagging and the old coil spring kind. Pillows had a lot to be desired. Room was dark and very dated. During our stay, there was a period of several hours where there was no running water. You could hear everything outside, single pane windows and door locks were not very secure. The in room A/C unit was not very effective.

Quail’s Nest/ Gross

Our room was nice and large. We have stayed there before. But the room was dirty. Food and wrappers under all furniture. No coffee! A coffee pot , but no coffee. Our first night there it rained all night and was hitting on the Air conditioner/heater unit and keeping us awake. The next morning I slept in and did not shower until 10:00 am . NO HOT WATER ! That was a shocker! Will not stay there again.

I don’t recommend

No fitted sheets just regular sheets tucked under the bed. Found cloths, shoes, and Sandals under the bed. No water pressure in the showers. Pool and hot tub had dirty water. The “ Continental breakfast“ was a box of donuts.

Room did not smell clean

The staff is as very nice but the hotel is run down . Had to change rooms because the air wasn’t working. The location was great but the rooms where so run down

Only problem was with low water pressure in the shower

I’ve stayed here for work many times over the last year. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful, and the rooms have always been clean. I have no complaints
