The mattress is like sleeping on a stone slab but location of hotel really can’t be beat, central, quiet and beautiful.
I loved that this property was in walking distance of the main pier (we came from Ao Nang, Krabi ferry). Everyone was delightful and helpful. The breakfast that is included (at least our stay) was fabulous - good healthy options included. We are right between opposite beaches on the north and south side (near Ao Ton Sai Pier and Loh Dalum beach) - how convenient is that? There is also a beautiful pool which we didn't use since we were busy sight seeing. What was a surprise, is that, as soon as you get off the ferry, there was someone with a sign for Phi Phi Harborview hotel waiting for you and they helped walk to your hotel. A tiny bit of feedback to the hotel: I had messaged the hotel via Expedia about how to get to the hotel from the Pier (it wasn't clear someone would meet us or that it was so close to the Pier). I was a little worried until I got the Pier and saw someone holding a sign.
The poolside bar is slow but other than that it’s an amazing resort. The room quality and the views were amazing. Also a short walk to the pier.
Amazing location, friendly staff, nice view,
The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is very dated and needs major renovations. The rooms smell like mildew and my family and I were coughing from the stale, wet air. The mattress is incredibly hard and uncomfortable and the sheets smell like mildew. The bathrooms have black mold in the corners of the tile. The music from the beach parties is loud at night but it’s understandable given the central location of the hotel. Overall the price was very high for a run down hotel but Phi Phi is an expensive place for accommodation.
It was good for the price I guess. And very convenient if you don't Wang to carry bags far away, my safe did not work and the breakfast is outside the restaurant.
Hotel is lovely the only down fall was it was hard to sleep you can hear the music off the beach till gone 2am in the morning. Also when that stop the air conditioning sound like a plane taking off all night which keep you up to.
The room stinks like sewer, I think that's all you need to knw about this hotel. Aircon practically not working, the room always feel wet
Perfect
Very friendly staff, clean hotel and room, location perfect
Phi Phi Harbour View was very good to us. We stayed there for 3d/2n and we were able to do a lot of things. It’s close to the beach and tons of dining options. The location was also close to some night life activities but far enough that we were able to sleep through the loud music and parties. The breakfast buffet was okay and their fresh mangoes were stellar.
We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel location from the pier was fantastic. Easy walking distance, however, the parties could be heard from the room so it was hard to rest. We knew this before booking. The staff was very polite. The room was nice however the bed was very hard! Pools were very nice but didn’t get in due to time. Easy access to a lot of shopping and food.
Very good. Lovely hotel
Great location
We absolutely loved our room (rm 312). Loved the pool area and being close to all amenities. What we hated was having to hear club music coming from Ibitza (sp?) until 3 am. Every. Single. Night. My white noise app was on full blast. But the Club music won and it made for a horrible sleep. Additionally, even though we requested and received a mattress topper, the bed was as firm as ever. Loved this location and the staff but I value my sleep more. I would recommend being far away from that hotel that could care less about adjacent hotels.
Nice location, hard beds but managable, and wifi wasn’t the best but suitable for a quick 2 night stay
Great location and lovely pools.
Great pool access room
The pool access room was great. The bed was hard as a rock, but a mattress topper help it become more comfortable. The room was dark. It could use better lighting as well as a privacy curtain. Also, drawers to put away clothes and dryer rack to dry wet clothes would be helpful. The location and ocean proximity cant be beat.
Wonderful hotel and in the perfect location
Only 1 block from the ferry. Very affordable yet nice hotel. Very quiet yet only steps from shopping and about a 7 min walk to all the nightlife on the beach. STAFF are simply the best. So friendly and accommodating. Love how they take care of the island cats!!!
Great staff. Only one block from the ferry!! Can walk anywhere!!
Great stay
Good stay, as advertised. A+++++ hotel. Close to all amenities and the beach.
Staff amazing hotel next to pier swim up lovely only issue no steps from balcony to get in
Super location in Phi Phi
Awesome accommodation in Phi Phi. Super location a minute from the harbour, brilliant when arriving on the ferry, especially with a toddler in tow. The two pools are beautiful and safe, great for kids and adult swimming. Proximity to the beach is 10/10. The staff were fantastic throughout, especially with our little boy who got so much love and attention. We enjoyed having breakfast right beside the beach. Balcony overlooking the larger pool was great and the room was super, lots of space. Mattress a little hard for my tastes, otherwise fantastic. We would love to come back and visit again.
The location and the room itself good. The service and the exterior of the hotel is bad , need repairs
Great location, staff is wonderful the bed is to hard other then that great place to stay
Property was nice and staff was very helpful. I would recommend this place. Only thing I did not like is the bed was hard.
Situated in a convenient location accessible to most amenities. Steps from longtail boats and ferry pier. Clean, friendly staff, great beach access. Enjoyed my experience and would definitely visit again
This was the hardest mattress I e ever slept on felt like ply wood
Ideal location just opposite the harbour and on the beachfront. Breakfast was great, just outside the hotel on the beach front - stunning views. Pool access room difficult to enter/exit as no steps and we didn’t get any of the sun on our balcony. Helpful staff and clean enough. Room was tired and basic but had everything we needed for a few nights stay.
This property is a good location, but quite run down, needs updating - overpriced if you ask me. Staff are amazing that’s one good thing. Breakfast very limited options… The bed is a lump of rock, very hard so if you have a bad back you won’t want to stay here. But good location 2 mins from harbour
It was an epic trip with everything at our finger tips
Stayed here over new years, staff was incredibly helpful and in a prime location by the dock. Facilities seemingly have not been updated in a long time, could use a renovation. Also not much attention to detail on the beachside, trash overflowing etc. OK stay, given how conveniently located it is and with pool and beach access would put more effort into the visuals.
Great service
Nice stay - pleasant 7/10
Was ok stay Great location Pool very tired looking and rooms ok Would give it 7/10
Perfect location… a block away from ferry pier! Oceanfront.. only downside is rooms always feel damp. But would def stay again!
10/10 amazing place to stay!
When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the staff who took our bags inside and up to our room. Easy check in, convenient location, & kind workers. We were pleasantly surprised by our room that had a view of the pool and the beach. I’d stay here again!
Wow! The view, the room, just a big wow!
Brilliant stay here. Quiet as it’s nearer to the end of the beach, but easily walkable to where all action is. Hotel is clean, rooms are good sized & the pool overlooks the ocean. Will be back here!
A nice hotel that felt a little dated in style. The bed was extremely firm and lack of pillows. The pool looked loveky hut it rained during our stay so couldnt enjoy. Great location as you get off the boat and its just there. Also out the way from the nightlife but close enoigh to walk in and enjoy if you want to.
Just okay
Big rooms but very dark and dated.Spotty wifi. No warm or hot water in shower and shower doesn’t drain well. Very fish bowly as all rooms look into each other. Phi Phi Don was the only disappointing spot in Thailand. Dirty and smells like sewage. Cats everywhere and the do their business on the beach. Phi phi Ley was spectacular and wish we just did a day trip instead of staying on Phi Phi Don.
Good value, excellent location. The real let down of this hotel were the rock hard beds, I actually thought they were just box springs. A mattress topper would go a long way for this place. There was also this green light coming from a box under the sink in the bathroom & it glowed straight through the glass wall in our eyes as we slept which also seemed problematic for a good nights rest
East walking distance to and from ferry terminal. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Very convent location and nice hotel with very nice pool.
Clean, comfortable
Nice hotel but basic. Would recommend getting a room with pool access.
Had a wonderful time here
Great hotel near the pier and all the attractions. No need for water taxis or long walks. You can’t get a better location
Not well maintained and higiene not great
Hotel is in bad state, and the higiene is not good. The towells had a bunch of stains and the rooms were extremely humid. The air condition doesn’t work well and the beds are really hard. The people are really nice so I feel really bad leaving a bad review but the hotel was really bad. We walked around it and found other options at the same price that looked much better. The shower curtain had mold also.
Too much noise until early morning
Our stay would have been fine but for the loud music at a nearby nightspot that kept us up until 2am each of the four nights we were there.
Please make sure you ask for additional mattress top cover, the original mattress is very hard.
Loved the proximity to the harbour. Lots of noise during the day.
We received a warm welcome at check-in and our rooms appeared to be perfect - good sized beds, great air con and views over the pools and the adjacent beach/sea. However, our good impression died rapidly after dark when several open air bars approximately 750 m from the hotel played extremely loud bassy music until the early hours of the morning, which interfered significantly with our ability to sleep almost as much as the rock hard beds and the objects that identify as pillows. The following morning, we discovered that the shower drain didn't really work too well and the buffet style breakfast was disappointing. The next day, we used the pool which had a pool bar. Although the pool had a jacuzzi section but no bubbles and the pool bar wasn't 'set up' to sell any drinks either. The staff at the hotel are all lovely people and the hotel is perfectly located for easy access to the ferry, shops, cafes, resto's, beaches etc, but for us the nighttime noise and rock hard beds would stop us from going back there.
Beds were awful, resort needs some TLC
Beds were the hardest ever, not comfortable.
Overpriced at almost $200 per night for the triple room with piol access, forca 3 star hotel at best. No towels in the room, and pool and other facilities dilapidated. Even worse, they called us at 11am shsrp to inform us to check out (whereas most hotels have 12pm checkout) and tried to get us to pay extra 500 baht to checkout at 12. Overall bad experience. Only good thing is the location if you want something near the main pier.
Excellent hotel in central Phi Phi
This hotel was a perfect and as advertised. There were no bells and whistles or fancy extras, but it was clean, centrally located, had professional staff, and had a great pool and beach. Restaurants and bars were all across the street and this was also only a 2-minute walk from the dock (an extra bonus when it's sunny and over 100 with luggage).
It’s very outdated. It’s a pretty room if you have access to it. It just was dirty to me. Dusty, and no bar like promised, and chairs flimsy, and water was not so clean. But it’s a beautiful view. Close to the pier.
Location is perfect
The location is perfect, in middle of everything, just off the main pier. The hotel has so much potential.. but is just being neglected. Basic stuff missing, no hand towels or face towels, if u need swimming towels u must go to front desk. The air conditioner @ 26 o is freezing cold, when switched it to fan mode, flooded the entire room, breakfast is only till 10am. Front desk only works till 1am. The windows should be tinted, u can see through all other rooms in the bedroom to bathroom. The outside chairs are disgusting. The cleaning is superficial.
Looks very rundown and not like the images displayed when booking. Right next to the beach which is great but from 8pm to 2am you will have very loud music thumping in your room from the nightclub. The positive is that it was walking distance to the harbour and restaurants and shops. Beds were uncomfortable and extremely hard, the air con had a weird smell. For the price I paid it’s not what I was expecting therefore I am disappointed and wouldn’t recommend unless you get a good deal and are only there for one night or at a stretch 2 nights.
Great location and wonderful staff
Perfect location for a short stay in phi phi, right next to everything. Clean hotel with big bedrooms my only negative was the mattress on the bed was like laying on the floor and woke up both mornings with a back ache, luckily we were only doing a short 2 night visit so wasn’t too much of a problem. Nice pool area with brilliant views of the beach and was always quiet to get a bed, we done our trip to Maya bay and came back and chilled at th pool in the afternoon and there was plenty of beds still. Would recommend, just if you’re staying more than a few days be prepared for an uncomfortable bed.
A very pretty hotel on a huge great beach. Get a room on the first floor facing the pool for swim up access to your room. The location is close to the shopping walks along the beaches. The included breakfast was good.
Very Clean for being right up next to the jungle. big rooms,
This hotel is in a great spot is only 1 minute walking distance from Tonsai pier. The staff is so friendly and kind. And at the other side of the hotel pool is the other side of the island so is like you have both side at one minute walk is a great place to stay. I will come back for sure
Worst hotel experience of my life. Hands down
Having stayed in dozens of beautiful and clean hotels using hotels.com I never could have imagined the horror that Phi Phi Harbour View had in store. Beyond all, the place was DISGUSTING. (See photos attached). The photos don’t even show the stain on the sheets or the horrible stench coming from the bathroom, and the whole hotel frankly. The bed was rock solid hard. Not the firm, solid kind that can be nice. It was awful and uncomfortable. Staff was few and unhelpful. When we voiced our concerns several times (to the front desk and hotels.com) the only solution anyone could come up with was to keep sending housekeeping to the room, which didn’t help at all. I could not believe the amount of mold in the room. There was mold behind every crevasse. The photos attached show maybe 10% of it. We were booked to stay for 3 nights and had to leave after 2 and book a new place because we couldn’t stand to live in a place like that. We still have not received a refund or a credit from hotels.com Even if the room was decent the whole hotel itself was rundown and outdated and gross. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS HOTEL.
Fabulous location just minutes from the pier and all the shopping.
Everything was great. Except two things. 1. The workout room doesn’t even have a fan so there’s no way to work out in there. 2. The beds are rock hard. Although they did bring a mattress pad for me. This was an amazing place great location, nice pool and breakfast. Great staff. Overall very pleased.
The beds are made of rocks, the housekeeping and services are not 24/7, and the place is so messy, they do not clean up the pool trash or towels
You will rather sleep on the sand as the beds are rock hard. Worst sleep ever. Prepare your bug spray as the second you open the door you will be attacked I left the island with a million bites. Hotel is clean overall, room with 3 beds yet one outlet next to the beds. Walk in pool is nice.
Excellent location, well-maintained nice people and has great breakfast. And two nice, swimming pool. Downside only was the dampness in the rooms from all the humidity
Overall nice pool and great location. Big rooms but the beds are very firm, you might have some ants in your room and certain things don’t work because the hotel definitely needs a little remodel. Good enough for a few nights. I liked that the shower has a see through glass window to the bedroom.
Perfect base, just needs some TLC
Perfect location, just off the pier when you arrive so luggage an easy task. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious, and clean. Pool area needs some love, poolside beds are plastic and hot, so could do with some cushions. If you are looking to use the gym then go elsewhere, there’s a reason there is no pictures! Breakfast is basic and a short walk from the resort building, but plenty to fuel your day.
The hotel is in a great location just next to the beach and a quick walk to the main part of the harbor. It’s a great location if you want somewhere to stay just outside of the busy nightlife. It’s only a two minutes walk to the pier. The staff were really nice and helpful, and the property itself was clean. There were a few downsides, though. 1) The property doesn’t have ice available. Other places I’ve stayed at in Thailand had ice available upon request; this one did not. 2) They only provided two towels, and they were bath towels. No hand towels, no wash clothes, etc. 3) The beds are really firm/hard, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall, the hotel is very nice and was a good value. I’d definitely consider staying again next time I’m visiting.
Hotel is located near pier and beach in central area of Phi Phi. Very walkable to other areas and nice hotel amenities
The rooms where dirty and house keeping didn’t clean the room well. The hotel was in very bad conditions and looked nothing like the pictures. It is very old, dirty and damaged.
I had an accident. Staff was very helpful extending my stay and helpful with dealing with my injury.
We really enjoyed the location as it was close to everything. We also loved how close the pool was to the beach. We did however have ants in our bed on the last night and were told that housekeeping was closed and that they couldn’t change the sheets.
Great location and great staff. Would definitely stay here again!!
Great location and price that cannot be beat
One of the best place. Have everything near.
Everything was perfect! The only downside are the beds that are hard as rocks, but everything else is fantastic. The hospitality, just a 2 minute walk from pier, the beautiful beach in the back, the pool was awesome, great breakfast and five minute walk from all the night life!
The place had seen better days. It looks like it was an expensive hotel and got hit by covid. Great location, easy walking to all the market, food, music and dance that you need. Super friendly staff.
Fantastic customer service, everyone is friendly and helpful.
Perfectly located just steps from the main ferry pier in Phi Phi, Harborview was an amazing hotel and priced affordably. The pool in the middle of the hotel was huge and more than enough space for the guests to use, and it borders the nearby Dalumn beach / Bay Area making for a great view while handing by the pool. Literally located at the center of MOO 7 it also made it easy to grab meals, takeout, shop for convenience items, and to meet up with island tour companies. The rooms were comfortable, modern and spacious. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
Loved this hotel, pool was amazing
The Property was Great Nice location walking distance to beach and Pier Excellent Staff
This property is a dream vacation in the making. Right on the sand of a gorgeous and relaxing beach where some activities are started but NOTHING that would bother the tranquility I felt there
Great location and lovely facilities
Great hotel and fabulous location and facilities. Staff were lovely and helpful but due to Covid there were limited staff on duty so they weren’t always there when we needed them. That is totally not their fault due to the situation and this hotel is lovely if the rooms need a little TLC but the pool was fabulous and I would definitely stay here again
love this place!
I have been coming to Phi Phi for the last three years and this is the only hotel I choose. The rooms are big and spacious and it is very clean. The staff is super friendly and kind. Breakfast included in the room is a nice perk. I’m staying during covid and it has been the most chill, relaxed stay. They bring breakfast to my room at my time request and room service is amazing. The pool access room is worth the money and the hotel is located right off the beach. Very convenient to the town or the beach side! Love this hotel!
Love Phi Phi
Great location from the pier. Nice pool and room. Mattresses are rock hard and wifi really only in the lobby so just be aware if these are important to you.
The hotel was nice and in a good location. We were there during the Coronavirus outbreak so the hotel was literally empty. We had the pool to ourselves most days. However the staff seemed to be on holiday as well. Bartenders barely spoke English enough to convey what you wanted, most at the front desk, particularly in the evening, were unresponsive to any requests. There were 3 of us in the room (we paid extra for the 3rd person), yet we had to ask for the third towel, washcloth, etc. every single day. Our first room had no hot water and a difficult to open door so we had to move. I've read this on several reviews that rooms have no hot water. Now, if you know that, and the hotel is empty, WHY put someone in that room? We definitely paid way more than the hotel was worth. Breakfast was nice though.
Great location, just a few suggestions
We enjoyed our stay at Phi Phi Harbour View! What we enjoyed: Location - Walking from Tonsai Pier to our hotel in 5 minutes was everything, especially after the journey to get there. It was on the beach but away from the party scene side of the beach. The windows were good and you barely heard any outside noise. Pool - Two pools were great and the view of the water was priceless. Room - Shower was great, as was the bathroom overall. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. The small fridge was a nice bonus. Cons: Breakfast was not very good. They had Thai and Western options but the quality of food was lacking. The pools were not open past 1900, which was very disappointing. You need to check out beach towels poolside. It would be more convenient to have them in your room.
Great location right off the pier and amazing access to the beach. The pool is also very nice. That said, the beds are very hard and not comfortable. The shower also has some weird sewage smells, which didn’t make showering a great experience to say the least.
Great hotel, great location
We loved this hotel. The location is perfect. So close to literally everything and also has a FANTASTIC view of the bay (from the pool). The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a pool access room and it was awesome to have the option to be at the pool around everyone or just hang out by ourselves. Breakfast was fine, not awesome. The only two complaints I have about this hotel is the WiFi was very spotty and disconnected every couple of hours. Also, the bed is literally a rock. The hardest bed I have ever slept on and very uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything was great. We would definitely go back (but hopefully they will have upgraded their beds by then).
Do Not Go Here! My Experience - We arrived early and asked to put our bags in a locked room while out on a tour, 9 hours later to find out that they were still in the lobby. When checked into our room, the shower was broke, visible blood stains on the sheets... and turning on the bathroom sink a piece fell off, Wow!! Paying top dollar I was extremely disappointed. When we asked for them to fix the flexible shower head, maintenance super glued the shower head. I don’t even know how to explain how bad my experience was. Staff is very unresponsive and just doesn’t care about your accommodations. Do Not Book This Hotel.
Pool was nice. Interesting design. Mattress was firm, and the breakfast was decent.
Beautiful location! Clean! Friendly staff!
Pool was great. Rooms are not that clean. But overall it's good enough
Great staff and facilities in an ideal location for Phi Phi. Pool, bar and breakfast was fantastic. The only criticism I have is the bathroom fixtures need a freshen up and the WiFi is not reliable at all. Overall, excellent hotel for a few days on Phi Phi
The only good thing was the location. The location is perfect, right off the pier. SO close to the beach. The pools looked nice. The rooms are not up to date. Towels were disappointing. Shower did not work well, the bed was very very uncomfortable, not cozy. Breakfast was eh, we only used it for coffee. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The minibar prices are fair compared to the local markets which was nice. Unfortunately I would not recommend if you’re looking for something on the nicer/clean feel side. The Location was amazing though.
Phi phi stay
Great location. Lovely front desk staff. Terrible breakfast. Terrible beds. No privacy. Very noisy.
Phi Phi Harbour View Hotel | Hotel in Ko Phi Phi | Travala.com
This hotel is a one minute walk from the end of the pier. View from room is onto the pool and a lovely beach and the location is the main thing going for this hotel, but no noise at night. However, there were mosquitos in the room when we arrived as cleaners leave doors open for ages, so we did not have the room cleaned for the three days we were there, after being badly bitten in the room on first night. Killed a few mosquitos but it spoiled my sleep worrying about this, having to wear bug spray to bed and getting too hot, as trying to hide under the covers! Staff came quickly to unblock shower which was filling up and mop floor as if you try to increase the temperature, there is a lot of condensation. Room floor felt sandy underfoot, when we arrived, mirrors had lots of smears so cleaning is not brilliant, but staff were nice. Also water from taps and showers is salty, so need to buy extra water to make hot drinks. There were no room towels as problem with supply, so used pool towels. Only one key per room which they prefer you to leave in hotel but had to jump over counter to get it, as security guard was not there when we got back. Breakfast is not bad, across the road, with a lovely view of the beach, but we had to get mosquito spray on for breakfast too, after getting a bite!
