This is a wonderful place to say. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Cozy, affordable hotel at a great location

Cozy, moderate hotel at a great location in Podil. Easy walk to Poshtova Square, the Dnipro river, St. Andrews’s Descent, and the funicular which takes you to St. Michael’s and St. Sophia’s. Serghei, the front desk manager, was helpful, attentive, and gave us great dinner recommendations.

The location of the property. Almost all my activities were a reasonsble walk away. Breakfasts wete satisfying

Staff was always warm and friendly. Room serviced on request. Very nice location easy to get around to all the nearby sites.

The bathtub's shower hose was very leaky and would cause a lot of water to spill to the floor during a shower.

Location perfect, very clean and tidy. The all personel are kind and friendly. Highly recommend!

Amazing stay! Love the hotel and it's location. Stayed in the Cathedral Suite and loved it. Staff is awesome.

Good, not Great.

I thought the picture was from my room, but I found out my room was smaller and had an angled ceiling on one side. The staff was great from checking in to checking out and spoke good english.

Basic but friendly

Quite dated and in room facilities are non existent. Would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities and additional bathroom complimeraries such as shower gel and moisturiser. Located centrally,ideal for sights and museums. Staff are friendly and work hard to keep you happy

Wonderful hotel staff while poor room conditions

My stay in Kiev with my brother was amazing and enjoyable. I need to evaluate separately about the hotel condition and staff working there. The staff working there was helpful, friendly, amicable and kind. Wonderful people. I am disappointed by the room conditions such as very small, old (carpet was old), no- heating equipment on the wall working (later staff brought portable heating). If the hotel were 2 or 3 stars, it is understandable, but paying pretty good money for 4 stars hotel in Kiev, it was disappointing. The location was good, walking distance from Metro.

Vacation

This hotel is located in Podol district of Kiev - old historic area...very close to riverbank and subway station, minutes away from central street. It's surrounded by many restaurants. The suite room was spacious, clean with large bathroom. Hotel provides breakfast delivery to your room . You have to pre-order it the night prior. Very pleasant stay . Would stay again.

The Impressa is a boutique hotel in Podil, a very touristy part of Kiev. It is close to Poshtova Ploshcha metro station and the bottom of Kiev's famous funicular, which is an inexpensive way to save yourself a steep climb towards many of Kiev's other attractions. It is close to the Dnieper River and the string of parklands that line the river bank. The hotel is well maintained and very comfortable. Rooms are reasonably spacious and the beds comfortable. (I had 2 bookings which were contiguous, but had to move rooms, so I can speak of 2 different rooms.) Just a tip though - a room at the back is much quieter than a front room, which faces the street. On weekends in particular, this area is very busy until well into the night. There are many restaurants in the street. Having said that, with windows closed, the noise did not bother me. Reception staff speak English and all staff that I had contact with were very friendly and gave excellent service. There is no restaurant in the hotel, so breakfast has to be ordered the night before and is delivered to the room. There is a good choice of food and drink and I found all breakfasts that I had to be filling and delicious. Hot meals did arrive hot. I can recommend the Ukrainian pancakes with warm jam and sour cream.Delicious!! I enjoyed my time staying at the Impressa and will stay there again if I return to Kiev. It's a really nice small hotel.

Well located boutique hotel

I stayed for over a week at this very pleasant hotel. Situated close to the foot of the funicular and the metro, the Impressa is a handy base from which to see Kiev. Reception staff speak English well. Non-English speaking stsff were always eager to please. Rooms are well furnished and comfortable. My bed was very comfortable and I slept well. When I return to Kiev, I woll book here again

Very attentive staff good location

We stayed here for a recent visit to Eurovision in Kiev. The hotel arranged two transfers for us as we arrived into two different airports which were successful. We checked in and everything was ready for us. However despite there being three of us and when we booked saying it was free breakfast we were told that we could only have one free breakfast per day. It was 5 euros for more breakfast so we didn't bother and instead ordered one breakfast per day which was delivered to the room at a time we specified and was fine. We had a large room as there was three of us we had two beds but they kindly offered us another bed. Room was very clean, decor a little dated. Reception was very efficient they always knew when we arrived back which room we were staying in to give us our key back. The location was very good - right by the funicular - less than 5 minutes walk and 3 UAH to travel up to St Andrews descent. The metro was next to the funicular and 4 UAH and very easy to use. There was a small supermarket on the same street less than 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction to the funicular and a larger supermarket 'Silpo' around 5 minutes walk away - walk the opposite direction to the funicular to the end of the road turn left and it's on the corner. Overall a good stay, great location, attentive staffand good to have a 24 hour reception.

Nice location. Near to center and metro station

Location is good. Stuffs are kind. Metro station is very near. And there are lots of restaurants. Rooms are clean and they are in good condition. Breakfast is coming in your room. And not bad.

nice hotel close to important places in Kiev

The Hotel staff are very helpful. The hotel has pleasant furnishings, cozy atmosphere, so, not a sterile place. There used to be a restaurant next door, it was more convenient for having the free breakfast, but it closed. So, breakfast is served in your room or in the conference room, which is okay, I just like having waitresses serve breakfast

Close to the Metro station.

Room for two adults and a child was in the roof, no windows, only skylights. Bed comfort was only fair. Bathroom was very clean but the shower was a tight fit even for slim adults and the shower head sprayed over the top of the shower. Staff were courteous. Free bottle of wine for booking the room never showed up. Included breakfast was just OK.

cozy hotel, close to important areas of down Kiev

staff is very helpful. bring your own cheap plastic shower curtain, as the shower foldable walls, leak at the bottom of the wall, which are above the top of the bath tub. Hard to explain, but obvious after one shower without a shower curtain and the floor outside the tub is somewhat flooded.

Hotel is in the city center

The staff is friendly, helpful and speak English. There is a restaurant beside the hotel where a very good American style breakfast is served with good choices. The room sizes are adequate, clean and comfortable.

Impressa is impressive

Service is outstanding, they speak good English. They go over and above to make your stay very enjoyable . Room accommodations are nice,comfortable and very clean. I stayed 30 days and do not have one complaint.

Nice hotel great staff

I have stayed here many times and I like the hotel. This time they were putting in a new restaurant so there was some construction going on but this was temporary.

Good but not great!

My experience initially wasn't that good. I was put in room 101 next to an office, reception toilet, and the reception. No privacy and very noisy. They claimed there were no more rooms to put me in. After I demanded a refund, I was given another room. This room was great. In fact, room 101 should not be assigned to anyone at all, unless it's free.

Doing construction

I really like this hotel. They are now doing some renovations but except for that this hotel is great. I love the staff and I like the location.

Great hotel staff and location

Staff is fantastic. Location is really good. Hotel room was only ok Shower leaked all over the floor and soaked my clothes the first day. I had to adjust to this in the future. But the staff was VERY helpful and super nice. Always there to assist. Very attentive to any request. Really one of the better staffs i have found in a hotel in a long time and given that general service in the Ukraine is not usually that good, this was a very pleasant surprise

A Gem in Kiev

I stayed in 3 hotels in Kiev in 5 nights. Next trip will only stay in 1 Hotel Impressa. Small boutique hotel, friendly staff and great location. Eacy Access. Try book room 206, it has a terrace.

a great hotel

I liked everything about my stay. the location is excellent. the street is fun and lively and parks are just a short walk away. there are stairs in the hotel and the metro causes a deep rumbling every few minutes. These might concern others, but I was okay. WiFi was good and staff was very helpful.

Great location and friendly hotel personal! Perfect location but the sofa bed was really squeaky and uncomfortable.

A Nice, Comfortable 2-week stay in Kyiv, Podil neighborhood.

I was pleasantly surprised. The service was first rate both in the hotel and in the attached restaurant, Shooters. The breakfast buffet, free with my room reservation, was superb each morning as was the service. I also had many nice dinners at the restaurant since it was so convenient to the hotel. The location was very good, right next to the Kyiv Metro stop, Poshtova Ploscha, which is near the city center. The hotel is so close to the city center I did not bother to take the Metro. I simply took the funicular up from Podil to St. Michael's Monastery near the Foreign Ministry, and walked down to Independence Square from there That was my commute. All in all, a nice stay.

Very nice and welcoming staff!

The staff was extremely nice, helpful and welcoming! However, the general condition of the hotel wasn’t the best. There were renovation works at the reception, thus lots of noise. And I was not informed of those works beforehand. Hotel is nice but requires a bit of renovation as it seems a bit outdated. But the willingness of the staff to help was making up for almost everything.

Beliggenhed er fin, det bookede værelse var ulækkert og med meget gammelt og slidt inventar de 2 ovenlysvinduer der var begroet af skimmelsvamp, billederne fra hjemmesiden har intet med det værelse vi blev anvist at gøre. Vi klagede og blev anvist et ok og nyrenoveret værelse mod extra betaling, dette blev dog ikke opkrævet ved afrejse. Der var ikke rengøring hver dag, og toiletpapir måtte vi gentagne gange rykke for.

部屋がアップグレードされており快適に過ごせました。朝食のオムレツはとても美味しかったです。11/11に朝食を食べていた時に、ROSHENというチェコレートのお店を店員さんに聞いたところ、快く丁寧に教えて頂き、また一緒に同じポーズで写真まで撮らせて頂き、楽しい思い出になりました。また泊まりたいホテルです。

Stayed in this hotel already 2 times, as after the first time i decided to give it another try. But there will be no third try. In general the hotel is fine for the price you pay: very good breakfast, convenient location and ok bed & internet. BUT the service is close to non-existent. I arrived in the middle of the night both times. The first time i arrived i was provided no information about anything (wifi, breakfast etc). The second time i stayed i requested the room with the windows not towards the street (as otherwise it is not possible to sleep) and my booking was subject to availability of this room, but instead i was provided the one towards the street and no explanation.To make the long story short if you decide to stay there please request the quite room

Enjoyed my stay at this superb find!

The hotel was very good. The price to quality ratio stood out, and the hotel is situated in an area that locals seemed to value as the best one in the entire capital city. A metro connection is just few meters away, and lively streets have good traffic of pedestrians. The staff was extremely kind and professional; anything I asked, I got. The breakfast in the hotel was edging on fine dining-experience, and it took close to an hour to enjoy it in full. That is fine, but on some mornings I enjoyed breakfast from restaurants which are good and close by. Will probably stay here again, if ever back in Kiev!

Bra hotell

Fantastisk service! Fick hjälp med allt, de gick tom med oss till ställe så vi skulle hitta. Skulle lätt kunna komma tillbaka till detta hotell. Grymt WIFI och AC. Lite hål i fåtölj och soffa men inget som vi brydde oss om. Även ett väldigt bra läge!

Top Zentrums-Hotel

Das Hotel liegt in der Altstadt von Kiew, ganz in der Nähe von einer Metro-Station und dem Dnepr. Vor 5 Jahren war dieses Quartier noch nicht so attraktiv wie heute. Die Häuser wurden renoviert, es sind neue Restaurants und Läden eingerichtet worden. Alternativ auch kurz über den Berg gehen - an der St. Andreas Kirche vorbei - und schon steht man auf dem Khreschatyk, DER Ladenstrasse in Kiew. Zum Hotel gehört auch ein Restaurant, das sehr kreative Kombinationen serviert, schön angerichtet, aber die Portionen sind zu klein im Vergleich zum Preis. Ich gehe wieder ins 21!
