Wonderful stay! Quiet and convenient to nearby restaurants!
Beautiful place
Not happy with the changes to the breakfast presentation.
Very nice and historic view
An absolute favorite
This is my new favorite place in Charlotte! It’s so charming and quaint. The customer service is one of the best I’ve seen. I will stay here in the future for all Charlotte visits. The breakfast is fantastic.
It was a great place, Philomena was the best, my stay was due to a surgery and she was the best! She made sure had everything I needed. I highly recommend staying here.
Beauty beckons the eye on every side, upon every landing, and in every room. Portraiture, landscapes, handwoven Persian and Turkish carpets, American and European antiques, and more, much more, delight the guests who appreciate what the innkeeper has arrayed for their enjoyment. I felt completely at home in the Berkeley (my suite), and spent a lovely afternoon in my sitting room reading my novel and enjoying the sound of a North Carolina spring rain. I moved to the library in the common area later and was again at perfect ease in front of the warm fireplace. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning at a well-appointed table with a window looking on the front lawn. The fresh orange juice and eggs made to order brought a smile to my face. The staff treated me with respect and consideration for my every need. I was to arrive late from a cross-country flight, and Matthew called and emailed to ensure I had everything I needed to do an after-hours check in and enter my room without incident. During my three-night stay, I never wanted for anything. Thank you for an unrivaled experience and first impression of Charlotte hospitality.
It was a unique, unforgettable experience to stay in a private 108-year-old house with many historical features and bright colonial traditions.
The service was excellent, and the people were very friendly and professional.
The cutest Inn that was picturesque Charlotte. We had stayed in a larger chain hotel the past week and wanted to stay in a cute inn that would represent Charlotte’s Charm & The Morehead Inn was the perfect place. When you drive up the house is just the most beautiful property with trees. I love that each room is unique and you get to choose the one that suits you best. We chose the one with the balcony and it had a cute swing that you can enjoy your coffee from. Upstairs near our room was a little sitting area where you can make coffee and relax. We missed breakfast because we couldn’t get up early enough, we I’ll definitely return and try next time.
Wonderful. I will stay again when visiting Charlotte. Very comfortable and pleasant environment
Beautiful room! Comfortable bed!
This B&B is an amazing gem! Beautiful 1917 mansion converted into an Inn. Stunning common areas, beautiful rooms, FANTASTIC breakfast! And the area is a 5-10 min drive to all parts of downtown, as well as the super fun Southside area. Gorgeous historic neighborhood that was wonderful for a walk. Highly recommend!
I absolutely loved my stay here! Everyone was so kind and helpful. It is easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at.
Excellent breakfast
Wonderful attention to detail. Dry kind and responsive. Beautiful property
Super clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was awesome!
Liked the history and background of the inn. The character and charm it displayed. Our visit was cut short due to a family event so we unfortunately, didn’t get to spend the time we had anticipated when initially making the reservation. Would like to return when we have more availability.
Take a break from big box hotels and enjoy this quaint place that is pet friendly. Comfortable, clean and a great made to order breakfast.
Property was beautiful and staff was very attentive. Our suite was pretty cold and drafty but they included a space heater that helped warm it up a bit. Lovely historic setting for a weekend getaway!
This beautiful luxurious hotel is located in the historic DILWORYH neighborhood in Charlotte, just minutes from downtown
The Inn is beautiful. The hospitality is remarkable. Delicious breakfast !We hope to return soon. Thank youm
I loved our stay at the Inn. I was impressed with the room, coffee choice, decorations, the beauty of the building and the welcoming staff. The only reason i did not give 5 stars was because of the scents of perfume throughout the building. Since i am very sensitive to scents i did not like it. However my room window opened so no problem once in my room. I would go back and highly recommend the stay. The breakfast was great especially the yogurt parfay. Also the hot water in the sink bathroom took too long to heat up. Just fyi Eclupic Room. Otherwise great!
Great hotel. Wonderful breakfast.
I took my daughter to Charlotte for RuPauls drag show and we decided to stay here. Very cute bed and breakfast. Staff are friendly and it was a change of pace compared to staying in a hotel. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
Quaint and historic haven in a great location
The staff was kinda wierd. Not proactive service.
Is a beautiful, amazing Inn. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. Highly recommend it.
Great rooms and bathroom. But needs private refrigerator in room.
Great customer service and beautiful hotel.
Amazing place !
Unique chance to stay in a historic house!
Great location and cozy
Wonderful
Very pleasant place
A very nice place to stay in Charlotte. The Inn is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again when we're in Charlotte
Everything
Amazing stay!
Amazing and definitely will be back!!
Comfortable and Welcoming
The Morehead Inn was the perfect home away from home. We stayed for three nights for a business trip, and were happy to come back to our spacious and comfortable room at the end of each day. The delicious (and generous) breakfast was served with a smile every morning and was the perfect way to start our day. Will be staying here again for future trips.
Received a very warm and welcoming greeting. Also the property is nicely situated and absolutely lovely.
Very cute place.
Hope to stay here again!
Beautiful bed and breakfast! Highly recommend. Breakfast was wonderful too. Bedding is soft and beds are comfortable. Bathroom was immaculate.
Great service, price, location, and breakfast.
Stayed here for a football game, because 1.5 miles from stadium. Nightly price very reasonable for great location. Receptionist showed us to our room. Great breakfast.l the next morning. Very nice property. Room had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again. Only issue is not much parking, but it was a busy Labor Day weekend with a football game in the area.
I love the charm and personal touch of the Morehead inn. I wish we could have stayed for the breakfast but we had to get home to our children for school. Love the lady that checked us in! Great service and we will return. Thank you!
Beautiful! So lovely and charming. Way beyond expectations
Clean & Comfy!
The Morehead Inn is very nice. I was in the Carriage House with my dog. Everything was clean and well stocked. I would’ve liked a small refrigerator in the room but I had my cooler filled with ice on top since I was just passing through.
Best in Charlotte
Our experience was amazing. Staff, especially Sarah were very friendly and readily engaged in conversation, answering questions and sharing information about the historic Inn. It is now our favorite B & B in Charlotte and have already planned to return.
The staff was so friendly with many suggestions for our stay in Charlotte. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast. Loved staying in a historic inn and area.
Outstanding place to stay
The stay was incredible. Everyone was very nice , and made you feel welcome . The breakfast was just as wonderful as the staff. Stayed because we attended a concert in town , but will definitely return for another stay soon.
Everything from check in to our stay was wonderful. We wanted something different than the usual hotel experience and we got it. The love and attention to detail of the property was outstanding. My family talked about how comfortable the beds were the whole way home. This will definitely be our go to whenever we are in Charlotte. Thanks.
This is an elegant, immensely comfortable Inn with a helpful and considerate staff. Highly recommended!
What a lovely property! We thoroughly enjoyed this oasis in Charlotte. The inn was beautiful inside and out. Our room was spacious and furnished with gorgeous antiques. We loved the breakfasts served each day! We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends.
Excellent location, staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great
So charming . Cozy seating area - every room so beautiful . Breakfast was delicious and staff so kind . Will absolutely be staying here again when I am in the area
Amazing stay! Loved the charm
The rooms are very quaint and we had plenty of privacy. Staff has been very helpful. Property is well kept.
The entire property is beautiful.
I would love to stay here again!
A
Well kept and beautiful historic home. Enjoyed reading in the library and just absorbing the vibe of the house. Wonderful experience.
Had a great stay
We enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!
Older structure but well maintained. Convenient to Up Town which was easy to access. In city parking costly.
Was just as was advertised. Very nice staff. Beautifully appointed rooms. Hope to visit again.
Property is very nice
We stayed in the solarium suite, so beautiful and comfortable. The whole property is so nice and the staff were very welcoming. Will definitely recommend this property!
Uneven Stay
Overall, the hotel is very nice, with comfortable beds and decent bath facilities with quality towels and bath products. The neighborhood is quiet and great for a morning walk, and is with easy driving distance of the downtown area. The people are friendly and try to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel has lots of nooks and areas inside and outside where you can sit and read or just watch the people go by. Keep in mind that this isn't really a hotel that's oriented toward business travelers. The desk in my suite didn't have a power outlet nearby, and the Internet bandwidth is very low. I asked about this and the manager told me that they were in the process of finding another provider. Unfortunately, during my stay the shower rod in my shower broke, I reported it to the front desk, and it still wasn't repaired two days later when I left. One day my room wasn't made up, and another the door was left unlocked by the cleaning staff.
Great overnight getaway for our anniversary. Easy access to uptown. A one of a kind!
Delightful B&B close to Uptown
This place is beautifully decorated with period furniture. The beds are very comfortable with plush bedding. Breakfast choices were varied and delicious. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Charlotte NC.
Beautiful
PERFECT B&B
This place was perfect in every way! The entire staff was helpful and made you feel completely at home. They took the time to tell us the history of the house and made sure we were taken care of. Breakfast was delicious! It was quiet and peaceful, even though it is close to the city. We will definitely be going back and recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a few days!
If all the bathrooms and electrical equipments are updated, this place would be a excellent place. To turn off a light, had to remove the bulb.
Amazing property and amazing staff! One of a kind Inn that you will want to return to time and time again!
Absolutely wonderful
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Morehead Inn earlier this month. The hotel is walking distance into the city centre and was very safe, so this was extremely convenient. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated - all sitting rooms and bedrooms. The food was absolutely wonderful and all staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff and service were wonderful and it absolutely made our stay. I would definitely recommend the Morehead Inn to anyone hoping to stay in Charlotte!
Would stay again
Very clean and the staff was amazing. I love the feel of the place and I loved how the Inn was had the old time feel. Breakfast was wonderful and the strawberry scones were amazing. Very close to the downtown area.
Great place
Great staff and personal service. Breakfasts were awesome but they don't serve until 8am.
Every staff member was kind and helpful as my husband was in hospital. The breakfasts are fabulous! The old house is beautifully remodeled. The area is safe and the parking is secure so you don't feel like someone will mess with your car. Very close to Carolina Med. Center if you ever need a place close by. I will be back.
Had a great visit
Grand old inn in a wonderful neighbor hood minutes from the SouthVEnd and Uptown. Lovely breakfast.
I needed a break badly and this was the perfect place to reboot. I could just chill or plan a busy day in Charlotte. I even added an extra day. I plan on making this my escape haven in the future!!
The bed was so comfortable and the full breakfast was delicious.
I did NOT enjoy my stay. In fact, it was so awful, I left after an hour! I called both help line numbers four times, left messages, wrote a note on that I left on the front desk, emailed, and literally stood in the center of the hotel yelling for help and received NO reply. I didn't even get a call back from the emergency help number. Ever. The issue is that the french doors leading to the garden from my room (Hawthorne) did not lock properly. The keys I had didn't fit the deadbolt, and there was only a small latch at the top of the door. This didn't close properly and when I pulled, I could open the door several inches even with the lock still in place. As a young woman traveling alone, I was totally freaked out. I couldn't sleep there. Even scarier was that I was the only person in the whole place (or at least I assume, since I ran around calling for help and no one answered and there were no other cars in the lot) It was very concerning that no one EVER returned my calls. I was hoping for the offer of a refund since I didn't even end up staying and I had to pay for another hotel. I chose Moorehead because I thought I'd be safe, but I've never been more creeped out in my life. I finally got a nasty, defensive email back a week later telling me I was wrong and crazy. Something else a young woman loves to hear! I come to Charlotte frequently for work, but even if I could lock my ground floor room, the customer service was enough to scare me off for good!
Like staying at a friends house
A beautiful 105 year old house and carriage house with old world charm AND modern amenities. The staff were gracious and very friendly. The grounds were filled with greenery, fountains and bird songs. The breakfast was delicious. We had a lovely time here.
Loved it! No complaints, will stay again.
It was nice to stay in an old Southern home and read about the history. It was comfortable but had many period furniture pieces. the breakfast was fine. It was a nice break from an ordinary hotel.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff is incredible and their interest in preserving a historic house is obvious. As an owner of a house considerably older there is many things to be appreciated in maintaining this property that are probably not apparent to the average visitor. To be so close to downtown and retain the peacefulness is amazing. Lastly, the breakfast was such a treat my wife asked for the recipe.
Wonderful place that makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time. Clean yet still has the charm of an old house. The staff was super friendly. The room was a nice size with a large bathroom and wonderful shower. I felt like I was in the Grand Hotel from the movie Somewhere in Time. I highly recommend staying here.
The friendliness of the staff, amazing atmosphere and breakfast that was out of this world set this place above the rest!
The staff were friendly, suggestive per their experiences, and all appeared happy with their employment. As a customer, I was “served”.
Although it was 25-30 minutes to the Convention Center, the inn was totally lovely. I chose the room with the terrace, although small (the Dilworth Room), and the time spent on the terrace was great! I highly recommend the Morehead Inn instead of staying at a downtown hotel if you don't mind the walk to the Convention Center.
Can't go wrong
Very nice Inn! Comfortable room. Attractive decor. Delicious breakfast. Kind staff. We will visit again.
Everything was wonderful. As great as this property was, the staff was definitely A . Checkin was fast and easy and front desk staff was fabulous. So friendly and helpful. Great breakfast!
Beautiful inside and out!
Beautiful and comfortable Inn to stay at. Close enough to the airport for a convenient drive. The breakfast is great and front desk was super helpful.
Beautiful place
Beautiful place. Amazing location within a beautiful and walkable area. The breakfast was really good. The rooms were nice but need a little update on airconditioning, comfort and bathrooms
Quiet, nice room and great breakfast. Front desk staff not always available
All the staff went out of their way to make sure you were comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. Lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, crepes, pancakes, waffles and bacon. So good. The house has so much charm.
The Inn is comfortable, homey, and reasonably priced with friendly and helpful staff. My room had a large sitting area with separate bedroom. The furniture, carpet, and lighting could use an update but overall the Inn is a charming property.
Loved the Inn, staff, breakfast. I will be back!
Stay in Charlotte.
Perfect. Quaint, quiet.

This place is amazing! The service was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. Even sacrificing their own time to be supportive. The place looked great! Good enough to want to send pictures to friends and family. It was incredible to find such a place so close to the city.
