Friendly staff
I was disappointed with my stay at Magnolia Bluffs, BW. The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard, and it was clear that housekeeping could have done a much better job. The photos online were deceiving, as the actual room looked much older and more worn down than expected. To make matters worse, our room had a strong smell of smoke, which was unpleasant and made it difficult to feel comfortable. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were attentive and willing to help with any concerns, which was appreciated. However, despite their kindness, the issues with the room itself made for an overall unsatisfactory experience. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
I was disappointed in the room...The lobby was very nice, but the rooms were quite dated. The breakfast was great and the lady who worked breakfast was AWESOME!!!
Initially, we were given a room that was outdated, with damaged furniture and no refrigerator. The following morning, we called for housekeeping before heading out. When we returned around 1 PM the room wasn’t clean. Therefore we requested housekeeping again, we were told they had already left for the day. As a result, our room was never cleaned, and we had to get our own towels.
Everyone nice
Great
Travelers Beware!! This property is advertised as a hotel/casino. What they fail to mention is the hotel and casino is not on the same property. They are a mile or so apart. They also advertise a complimentary shuttle but that is Only to the casino. The sign in lobby says there is live entertainment at the casino nightly. We were there 2 nights and didn’t see any live entertainment. The hotel has a nice looking bar but wasn’t open the 2 nights we were there. Was told they weren’t sure if the bartender would decide to come in or not. The hotel isn’t within reasonable walking distance to any where. If these points aren’t important you may enjoy your stay there

Great stay
Toilet in my room was constantly running. Told front desk 3 times but maintenance couldn't fix it. Didn't offer me opportunity to change the room
The property was nice, clean, quiet, & safe.
Elevator needs attention
Elevator was scary. Like it’s going out. But it was functional. Someone tried to get into our room. We had the security lock so they didn’t get in. Breakfast was great. Friendly staff
First, I will start with the positives. The breakfast is the saving grace of this hotel. It's really delicious and the staff who attends it is wonderful. It's also a pretty clean place overall. However, there are many negatives. The pictures on the website make this look like a modern hotel. But the truth is that only the lobby is modern. The rooms are way outdated. And the curtains are downright hideous. Then, the website says this hotel has a hot tub. When my husband and I arrived, we were told that the hot tub was filled in. Also, only one elevator worked. Our key cards didn't work for the door multiple times. Staff was very nice, but this place needs some work.
The elevator was broken for over a day and we had to use the service elevator which was not in the best condition or in a safe place.
Great atmosphere breakfast and employees
The room seemed like it needed to be updated, especially the furnishings.
Staff was friendly, room was outdated with old scarred up furniture with dust ontop lampshades. Showers were great with strong water flow but they could do better cleaning the entire room.
OK visit
Our King room was missing a refrigerator. It was an ok, overnight visit. The casino is not attached, so you have to drive there or use the shuttle. The historical part of Natchez was nice.
Disappointed with the condition of room.
Never once had housekeeping during my 3 night stay. The furniture was old and worn. The refrigerator was missing.
Worse room I have ever stayed in!
First thing the room did not have fridge, they did send someone with fridge. No hair dryer looks like removed from wall. No lamp on one side of the bed, old beat up furniture. No outlet that worked by bed to charge your phone. My cousin stayed in a terrible room two doors down and it smelled like smoke. Awful!! Shower flows out to bathroom floor - what a mess.
Great stay!
My family and I stayed in 2 rooms here for 4 nights. We didn't get towels any night unless we went to the front desk and requested them. Both rooms were NEVER serviced the entire trip. I prepaid for the rooms, and they charged my credit card again when I checked in and now, I am still trying to get it straightened out and get my money back.
We had trouble with our key card not working several times.
Shouldn't advertise laundry as there is only a washer dryer in an employee only area
Enjoyed
Angels On The Bluff Trip.
We have stayed here several times over the last few years. We have enjoyed every stay. The breakfast is great and the staff in the dining area are top notch.
We ended up in 3 different rooms for our 3 night stay. The breakfast offerings were suffient when there was food available. There was often no silverware to eat breakfast with. We had to bus our table to have a place to sit and eat. The towels were thin and sparsely supplied. The staff were attentive and helpful.
Room was clean, front desk gentlemen very nice, but the kitchen staff that prepared the breakfast was beyond precious! The lady that greeted us at the breakfast buffet was so kind. Would stay here again.
Staff polite and helpful Rooms were clean
The front desk staff was more than helpful however the room was not the cleanest. Hair on the floors and some on the sheets, drops of blood on the bathroom door (very odd). Not enough plugs to charge things. Iron was sticky and stuck to the clothes.
Balloon Festival
Had a great stay & everyone was super nice.
The staff were AMAZING! Great attention to their guests!
We aiways enjoy staying here for the Balloon Festival.
The pool is very nice!
Asked for towels and the front desk clerk/manager told my wife we would have to wait on housekeeping to do laundry. This was on a weekend and you didn’t have clean towels. I will never stay at this property again
Desk clerk could not print me a receipt. I still need one for the company. Breakfast ok. Beds and pillows good.
The key pad to the room was faulty. We had to get new keys 5 different times. The maintenance guy came & replaced the batteries to it but it was still hit or miss when it would work. Had to keep trying it over & over till it would finally work. Housekeeping doesn't come on weekends, which was fine, but when I asked for more towels, the cleaning lady told me they didn't have any clean at the moment. She said they were washing some & to check back later. She was not the nicest person. That happened twice. Had to get some from the front desk once. There was no soap. I wouldn't brought my own but normally hotels have that in the rooms. We had to go to the store to buy some. The hand towel bar was broken. The thermostat wouldn't go up or down. Stayed on 68 the whole time. Would not recommend staying here at all. Spent almost $400 on this room & had all these problems. Ridiculous.
This is a great facility. It is well kept, clean with great staff. It is located close to historic downtown Natchez. Their complimentary breakfast is excellent. I'd highly recommend this property.
OK
Great location. Not too clean, but it was ok. Stingy with supplies
The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable (usually chain hotel room pillows are too thin and hard for me).
Rooms are nothing like advertised online and the “River View” is not a view. You are not on the water.
Art Deco nice & bright, Hot Breakfast every morning and nice pool
The property was in excellent condition. Staff very friendly. The beds were very soft. Anyone with a back condition would be very uncomfortable. I did not get much rest because of that. Need lil more firmer mattresses.
Everything was good
It was a good stay with good breakfast.
This hotel is in serious need of updating. The furnishings are stained, dirty and in need of replacing. More importantly the elevators were out of order but no one made us aware we could NOT use the LOCKED STAIRCASE! WE checked out immediately for safety!!! This a danger to all guests.
Staff was friendly, breakfast was great. However I could never get the TV to work
We liked and used the pool area. We were disappointed that the visitor center was closed. We looked forward to walking to it to get information about Natchez.
Room is not clean. Furniture is really old. Staff at check in are rude.
Very professional staff. Comfortable rooms. Nice pool. We love the lady in the breakfast room. She is the hotel's number one ambassador.
Excellent Location walking distance from attractions very clean historic area hotels excellent very clean room very courteous staff. The breakfast was excellent. The people who serve breakfast waited on us hand and foot. Very nice staff. I will book this hotel again in the future.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. If it wasn't for two things it would have been perfect. The first night the room we had was very clean but when I went to bed I felt like I was sleeping in a whole. Did tell the front desk and they moved us to another room and the bed was okay but the toilet rocked when you sat on it.
Great staff! Front desk was super, & the shuttle driver was a very pleasant gentlemen, whisked us promptly to the casino & was right there to pick us up when called. Would definitely stay there again, very nice facility, good price.
The continental breakfast was good.
The breakfast is great
.
Was Fantastic
The best stay.
They stay was great! We went strictly to swim and the pool was the best I had ever seen! The lobby was absolutely beautiful! The staff was amazing! My only issue was after walking on my room floor my feet were black so it’s obvious it hadn’t been mopped. Overall it was great and we will definitely go back!
Nice clean room, comfortable bed with fluffy pillows. Can't say much about the rest of the property, as i was there on business and didn't have time to explore. I would recommend this property
Good
There was no shuttle to the Casino.
Everything was great! We came down for breakfast out first day there and was greeted by a beautiful friendly lady that I wish I had have asked her name. Such a beautiful soul! Very welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall a great stay the hotel was neat and clean will definitely return
Close to goid food with the uniqueness of the casino
Never Going Back
I got to the 2nd floor and a couple rooms down had a kid that sounded like he was dieing. When I got to the room, the room was hot. The A/C was on but not blowing cold air. The chair for the desk felt like it would fall apart. The bed was nice. The bathroom light/fan was very noisy. Overall, this place sucked.
Beautiful lobby
The Hotel lobby was beautiful The free breakfast was pretty good The bed was uncomfortable & the rooms need updating like the lobby was redone
Parking is frustrating
Really nice ! Staff was nice and helpful and hotel was nice and clean .
It was perfect for an overnight visit
THE BEST!!
Staff was amazing!! We were welcome and pampered. Parking and checkin were super easy. Best in Natchez for sure! This was our second stay within a year, and we will stay again!
The staff was very helpful
Not as good as it used to be
I’ve stayed at this property several times in the past. I was disappointed this time because I feel like the cleanliness has declined. The floors were not clean in the room, the ironing board was broken, there was dust in pretty much all of the outlets and vents, the tub didn’t drain well. I could go on….
Check-in was smooth and easy. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful!
About us: Child-free couple traveling with 3 dogs, here for recreation. What we loved: Thanks for letting our pets stay; this was the best part. Staff was amazing! The front desk clerks were nice and helpful. It was an easy & quick checkin/ checkout. There is a shuttle that can take you around town although we didn’t use it. This hotel is just a few minute drive away from downtown Natchez. Breakfast was better than continental with scrambled eggs, grits, sausage, fruit, yogurt, biscuits and bagels, juice/ coffee etc. The lady who attended to the buffet was really sweet. Thanks for feeding us! We absolutely LOVED the cute hotel bar and had a blast with the bartender, T.K. The hotel pool area is beautiful with cabanas and a nice sized salt water pool. The beds were amazingly comfortable and linens were white and clean; the room was clean as well and smelled nice. Things that could have been better: The pool area was clean but the water was milky with some trash floating in it, and this was mid afternoon well after morning cleaning. The room was very worn with old furniture with pieces of wood missing, scratches, stains, old curtains that weren’t attached in places, hooks ripped out of the walls, and general wear and tear. We understand traveling with our pets that we often will get rooms that are designated for dogs, and those rooms usually have the older furniture in it, pet friendly floors, and small nicks from previous guests but these rooms are very outdated.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My family and I will definitely stay here again in the future.
This hotel was not clean. I was transferred to another room bc the bed was hard. The other room I was transferred to the bed was harder and the pillows were horrible. Hotel needs make over badly. Rooms are in plentiful shape. Front desk ppl were nice and courteous. Very polite. But the rooms we’re disgusting!!!
I really liked that the rooms don’t have carpet. The shower head needs to be updated. I was surprised the handicap room had high beds. Someone with mobility issues couldn’t get up on the bed.
Good for one night.
The bed was comfortable enough for one night. The panel that covers the AC was in bad condition and falling off. Furnishings were in bad shape and need updating. The hotel caters to a nearby casino, so it's not too quiet at 2:00 AM if you're just passing through.
Everything
Worth the stay
Receptionist was amazing, very professional, and kind. The service was excellent. Beds were comfy and room was clean. Very pet friendly and supportive. Great little grassy area for our dog right by the guest entrance.
Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious. The only negative thing was that the shower did not feel safe and secure. We purchased a bath mat, which made a huge difference. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nice place
The hotel was great and our stay was really nice. But the pool was locked during the day with no reason posted. It was very strange.
Wonderful rooms and good breakfast.
The breakfast staff was very courteous , and helpful .Also kept up with maintaining cleanliness of dining area and food availability. Check- out was easy and convenient. Non working exhaust fan in bath. Only 1 bulb working in bath.
Staff at s always super helpful! They make sure my stay is pleasant each and every time in visit
Nothing to write home about
Not so good, I was expecting it to be more fancy and luxurious and it was far from that. Some of our family stayed at the grand hotel that was more luxurious for way cheaper.
Some
Everything to old and not very clean. The worst hotel we had been on our trip.
Great experience!
Our room was quiet, restful bed, conveniently located for our needs. The furniture showed wear but was clean and comfortable.
Bed bugs everywhere
The first room had bed bugs so they moved me to another room that also had bedbugs. I left immediately and they are still debating a refund.
Room was fine. Cleanliness needed improvement (i.e. bathroom tub, room tables, floor). Great location & quiet. Fits a 3 star facility.
Nice place, a little high on pricing for what you get. 2 Parking lot lights out made the parking area dark and somewhat creepy.
Natchez was a disappointment but the hotel is a place I would stay at again.
I asked if there was a bar, I was told no, but there was one. Poorly trained staff
Location
The property itself was average. What we didn't realize was that the casino was not in the hotel. However, the hotel did provide a shuttle service to the casino. Also, the continental breakfast was better than average. The thing that was most irritating was the fact that there is no daily housekeeping. You had to go down to the front desk to get clean towels, toilet paper, etc.
My stay was excellent
You Can't ask for More Than Magnolia Bluffs!
This place is fantastic! It was easy to locate, parking was simple, the desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable (with a great view from the sixth floor!) The breakfast was really good (are those biscuits home made???) and that staff was friendly, too!
Close to casino and shopping.
Hotel is in need of updating. Bathroom shower leaked the whole time we were there. Good location to everything.

Only one of two elevators was working. The room was very dated and in need of updates. We came down for breakfast at 8:15 (breakfast served until 9) to find no eggs and no bacon. We told the staff working the breakfast area who looked for herself and disappeared. A few minutes later she returns and says nothing. I asked her if more food was coming out without saying anything she disappeared again. Finally another person brings food out, but there were no plates or utensils. We ask for some and another 5 minutes pass, we ask again and finally another person comes out with plates and utensils. The hotel got a good writing; however, it did not deserve more than a mediocre rating at best. We would never stay here again and do not recommend it.
