Arrived Sunday afternoon, restaurant & bar shut, couldn’t even get a bottle of water, tried to use the Spa on Monday morning, but apparently it is closed Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. We also did not use the pool as it was at the front of the hotel at the side of the main entrance and opposite the car park. It is certainly like no Spa hotel, I have stayed in before.
Great Airport stop over
Stays here with our 2 kids after flying into Bordeaux late. Adjoining rooms were fantastic, staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great also. I was able to walk to airport to collect rental car next morning. Perfect if needing to be close to the airport.
Poor Tv and no WiFi (for guests)
The air conditioning was not working and, with the warm weather, we slept poorly. The property could be better cleaned and maintained. However, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant was pleasant and the food good.
There was no air conditioning. The TV didn’t work and took a bit of time to get it working. The room smelled. There were dents in the furniture and the carpet was worn. Would not recommend staying there.
We appreciated having the option of a small kitchen. We also liked how roomy our room was with a nice leather couch and big windows that opened for fresh air. Our room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. Overall we were pleased and would stay here again when arriving or leaving Bordeaux as the airport is only two train stops away.
Pictures of hotel room were a bit deceiving. Looked very clean, but our rooms carpet was very dirty with stains all over it. Private bathroom was extremely small & dirty. Wouldn’t recommend.
The staff was really first class and the food was excellent. The hotel is spacious, quiet, and comfortable. A steal at this price, but imagine it will be much more expensive when the transition is complete.
Pool too small. Otherwise good rooms and service.
Nice big rooms and really nice beds
Perfect stay
Everything about our stay was perfect. The service was friendly and courteous . We had adjoining rooms with our 2 teens. When we arrived both rooms were set up as doubles. They quickly rectified this and changed the beds to singles. The rooms were spotless, good kitchen facilities and really comfortable beds. The rooms were also a good size. The only downside was that we didn't stay longer!
Amazing breakfast They gave us two rooms to accommodate our little family of 3!
We checked in late abd had an early flight so didn’t get to experience many of the amenities. Friendly staff, nice rooms. Reception entrance is Terribly designed- and no signs to help. Just pull right up. Unload and then park.
Hotel with really helpful staff. Loved the pool, the hotel decor, and the ping pong table, foosball, and pool table. We really enjoyed our stay.
Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!
Always reserve shuttle
Front desk told us we didn’t need to reserve the airport shuttle. Next morning, we were told we had to reserve. Fortunately there was room. Mirrored closet door was broken into large shards. We didn’t move because it was very late and we had already unpacked.
Good option for a business trip
Really close to the airport and friendly staff . One of the best option for a business trip to avoid the traffic congestion in the city centre .
I have been staying at this place regularly for many years. It is very convenient but might need to be refreshed as it is now showing here or there many signs of aging .
Good airport hotel. Nice staff, good restaurant, large room, decent bed.
It was disappointing that the air conditioner was not working and had to open window with no screen to cool off the room. The hotel did not have wash towels.
Airport stop over
Good, clean airport hotel, Local restaurant nearby (walking distance) good links to airport. Pillows little uncomfortable - my opinion and got two single beds for a 1 occupant room. Nevertheless a good overall stay. Breakfast was good.
Rooms are all suites: spacious and fairly comfortable. The old building, in the front, is kind of aged and would deserve some renovations. The newer building in the back is much nicer. Services are standard but good level.
It's a nice set up for an industrial near airport hotel
Friendly staff and awesome location but bed was broken and hotel was quite noisy with lots of annoying banging noises all night.
Great overnight airport stay
Great hotel for overnight prior to flight out of Bordeaux. Staff very friendly and hotel is very clean.
Nice Suite
nice suite which we enjoyed but really didn't need as we were there only one night
Air conditioner stopped during the night and the lever of the shower didn’t work, seems like this property needs an overhaul, staff is very kind and helpful
Decent choice close to airport
No arport transfer from airport, even after contacting as part of booking and after
Very convenient location close to the airport. Excellent breakfast & shuttle service.
avoid this hotel
Avoid this hotel. Rooms are run down. Our room had broken door lock, so couldn't lock door, light bulbs out in bath so couldn't see, broken shower door so water ran all over the floor with no way to stop it. Thank God windows opened and it was cool at night because the AC was broken. Bag storage is not locked or monitored. Nora at the desk was the worst of the experience. She told us the shuttles ran every 30 minutes. So we got back to hotel at 3:30, but she said we couldn't get the shuttle because we hadn't told her earlier that we wanted it. That wasn't true, since we had inquired that morning. So we said we were asking now, but she then said the shuttle wasn't running because the guy who drives wasn't there. So we said we'd wait for the 4:00 shuttle. We sat in front of her front desk waiting and at 4:00 when we said we were ready for shuttle, she said, "Oh, you want the shuttle?" Then she drove us herself--mind you she could have driven us at 3:30, because there were two other women manning the front desk. When we got in the van, she cranked up the music really loud, then sped through round abouts as fast as she could, literally throwing us from side to side in the van. Very dangerous! It was quite obvious she didn't want to drive us. Honestly, we had been so nice in asking for the shuttle and politely waiting 30 minutes. So don't count on functioning room, shuttle or kind service from Nora. Other women at front desk were fine.
Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Very nice overnight stay.
Hotel was about on par what you would expect from a hotel near an airport. Large clean rooms though dated. We had a really squeaky bed.
Hotel was dated and old facilities.
Dated...old...no tea or coffee making facility in room. However was close to airport which i needed. It is budget hotel. Staff were nice and friendly. Food was ok.
Just an Average Airport Hotel.
The hotel is convenient to the airport with plenty of parking. The hotel is showing its age and the hallways smelled of tobacco smoke. It is by the airport and that's really all, so not the best location if you don't have a vehicle. The kitchenette had a full refrigerator, that was nice.
Property's strong location near the airport:
Staff was not well trained, When checking in, I did not feel welcome, it was awkward. I settled everything when I checked out and gave the keys back to the morning staff, they are looking at my room reservation and wanted my name to give them their keys back. Bizzare, I am guessing that it is hard to get workers in that area.
Great Location
Complained about room given and was provided upgrade by helpful clerk...upgraded suite was very comfortable, good kitchen.
Dilapidated Hotel that advertises as a ‘Spa’
The hotel is tired, smelly and dilapidated. Carpet on the floor is stained in places and faded from years of sun exposure. Staff is indifferent and the breakfast is better in prison!
Good facility if trying to catch an early morning flight out of Bordeaux.
Very disappointing stay from start to finish to be honest. On arrival the check in was fine. I arrived with my daughter as planned, I asked if breakfast was included and they said yes. We arrived in our room which was dated to say the least. The toilet smelt of urine and the aircon was almost useless. I was not advised the outdoor pool was shut dispite the glourios weather until I called reception to ask and they said it only opened in the summer. They have a pool in the spa but no children allowed. I travelled with my 12 year old daughter as a treat for her 13th birthday and was advised she could not use the Spa pool, the only reason they gave was it was dangerous although I was going to be with her. On check out the hotel tried to charge c100 euros for breakfast even though I checked on arrival it was included, they then said they would remove mine nut not my daughters as they said I did not tell them she was going even though I checked the booking when I got home and I did and I booked a twin room. They also did not say the shuttle stopped running after 12pm on a Sunday so we had to catch a bus, all in all not a very pleasant stay
Convenient to airport and they operate a shuttle to the airport at no cost. Only issue was room was hot and they only had heat at night no ac. Just had to open window. Wifi was good in room but had to leave passport to get equipment which you got back when returned. Room was clean, staff friendly.
Location close to airport and reasonable price. Air conditioning is central so our 4th floor room was very hot but window did open
One night stand
Stayed at this hotel because I was picking up a car the next morning at the airport. Hotel is old and claim to be a 4stars. This is an average 3 stars and his below Quality suites standard.
Fit for a short stay and close to the airport. A little bit hard to find due to lack of street indication.
Very good service from the staff. Location a little bit hard to find due to lack of signage. Room very comfy.
The internet was not working the room was not too clean breakfast was very good
Airport Convenience
Was originally intended as my last night stay before an early morning flight, but had modified my vacation. Hotel is large, as was the room, comfortable, very quiet and breakfast offer was good. Only downside, when I went to use the desk in the room, the air rests of the executive chair were perished with the foam beneath exposed.
I'd repeat my stay without hesitation or deviation
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff tells me that there's something very right about the way this hotel is going about its business.
Close to the airport
We stayed for one night at the end of our France and Spain trip. We had a 6:15am flight to Paris. Note that the airport stuttle doesn't start until 6:30am so you will have to book a taxi if you have an earlier flight. Room was nice and clean, they have square pillows on the bed which takes some getting use to. I recommend this hotel if you need to get out on a early flight.
Catch that early morning flight with ease.
Nice friendly staff. Our room had a problem with the bathroom, and we were given another room immediately. The hotel is next to the airport, yet the room was nice and quiet.
don't expect much
This is nothing more than a place to flop for the night and it's too expensive for that. I stayed here based on the "4 star" rating and it was barely above average at best a 2.5 star. it's tired early 80's hotel that is pretending to be something it's not. I would not recommend it.
Everything it says on the tin!!
We booked a hotel close to the airport with good links to the city. Quality is about 15 minutes drive from the airport and is well situated to both Merignac itself and routes to the centre of Bordeaux. We did not find overflights of aircraft to be a noise problem at all and slept soundly the 7 nights we were there. The hotel is well furnished and modern. Everything worked that you would expect to work - lifts, toilets, telephone, shower, cooker, kettle etc. We booked a room with kitchen facilities so that we could have our own breakfast and this worked out fine. The service from the staff was very good and we felt cared for and welcomed. There is a spa there that we didn't try but we did try the gym(fairly basic but open almost all hours) and the pool(which was also fine). We ate at the in-house restaurant, the Iguana which was too cordon bleu for our tastes but the food was good(the avocado souffle, by the way, is to die for!!).We ate in the breakfast lounge a number of times and it was also of a good standard. The rate we thought was a little high for what you got. That would be our only gripe.Otherwise the hotel lived up to our expectations.
Well received...a quick swim..great rest and a wonderful breakfast....then a shuttle to the airport. Perfect ...just what is needed before a long flight!
convenient, clean, courteous staff (mainly). Dinner and breakfast in hotel decent but very expensive.
Stayed for the recent Wales game in Bordeaux
Nice hotel with very friendly staff, a 20 minute walk from Airport but not much in close surrounding areas to Hotel, small but nice bar and as the bus/train strike was on we had to use a taxi to get into the City Centre which cost 23 Euros to get in and 45 Euros to return late at Night
Nice people, poor hotel
For 4 star the quality and functinality is just not there. Shower was pretty interesting. Good luck taking a shower without getting the whole bathroom wet. No toilet treats, shower caps, or lotion, only two shoe polishing kits. Good shuttle service. Comes every 30 minutes.
Nice roomy hotel suite with pleasant staff.
The check in receptionist was very helpful and informative and even sold us the local bus ticket to the city of Bordeaux as the bus stops out the front.
Jan H trip
Lovely room. Long wait to get picked up by airport shuttle
Close to airport
Two recent stays. Chosen because close to airport
Great Stopover
Short but sweet
The choice for a Bordeaux airport hotel stay!
Perfect choice for an airport hotel. Kind shuttle service.
Great stay
Great stay, rooms are nice and big, bed comfortable. The hotel is beside Bordeaux airport but the hotel is very sound proofed, double windows, Irish carpet on the walls to help the noise reduction, I wonder do they Hoover it! Lol... I can't fault the Quality Suites in any way.
Convenient for a couple of days going to swim in the Atlantic. Clean room. Friendly staff. Would go back no problem!
Very disappointed
Cleaning woman walked in while I was in the shower even though I had the do not disturb sign on the door. Room smelled of cleaner to cover smoke smell. Excellent breakfast.
You will not regret it
It was one night my wife and I were very happy with the cleanness of the hotel and room, beds were very comfortable, easy to communicate with front desk staff (english),only down side far from city center.
Transportation to Airport Issues
The room was ok although we are a couple but were given a room with two single beds! There was no airport shuttle service running on Saturday afternoon when we arrived or on Sunday morning when we left at 4am for the airport. We can understand Sunday morning so early but not Saturday afternoon? We had to return our hire car on Saturday afternoon as we could not return it at 4am so we had to walk back to the hotel which is not a short walk, around 30 minutes. At 4am there was a huge thunderstorm and we asked reception if they could arrange a taxi to take us to the airport but they said there are not taxis in the area and that he would have to call one to come out from Bordeaux city which would take a while. We can't understand why there is no transportation from hotels to the airport? there are flights at 6am so how are people supposed to get to the airport with all their luggage? We couldn't keep our hire car so the only option we had was to walk to the airport with two heavy suitcases in the middle of a thunderstorm - not ideal! Perhaps the hotel could consider arranging a shuttle or private taxi for guests who have an early flight? we would have been happy to pay for this service but it just wasn't available to us.
It was only when I got to the hotel that I found out they have an airport shuttle. This, and a method to contact them in advance to arrange pick-up would have been useful to know in advance.
Near Bordeaux Airport
Less than 6 minutes from Bordeaux airport to hotel. Has spa offering massages and a nice pool indoors. great to stay here upon arrival or for an early departure flight. Hotel restaurant was good.
Beautiful in every way
I stayed for 1 night and I can recommend this establishment very highly indeed. From a very warm welcome, through a beautiful room (retro but stunning and immaculate) to an evening meal which really was fine dining, this was the best hotel I stayed in throughout my 7 days and hotels in France that week. I was extremely impressed and would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the area. 10/10
A good American hotel in France.
Large, new, well furnished suites. A good American hotel in France.
Good room - terrible and pricey restaurant
Room was spacious and fine though with a capricious air conditioning system. Beds (single) were very comfortable. Main problem was with much overpriced restaurant with mediocre food - I complained about the toughness of my steak, something I very rarely do. My wife's experience was not much better. Unfortunately, there are few alternatives around. Go eat somewhere else if you can.
Disappointing
On Sunday evening no restaurant available until 8 PM. Advertized airport shuttle, but not available until 6:30 AM and our plane left at 6 AM.
Average
Breakfast disappointing, the rest only OK.
Good near-airport location
In general this place met my needs. It's a little bit older hotel, but was clean and very easy to get to after a late evening flight into Bordeaux. The breakfast wasn't worth the price, but there are few options so eat to your fill. Surprisingly comfortable bed.
Unfriendly staff
Although they plenary of notices in English, however, when I asked for a menu in English there was not one, or staff assisting to translate. No evening meal for me...
Great airport location
Very convenient to Bordeaux airport. Good restaurant.
It provided a quiet overnight stay. The drawback was no electrical outlet near bed for CPAP machine.
Pre ship Hotel
OK for shot stay, though no wine around :-)
Hotel amenities
The amenities of the room state there are tea and coffee making facilities on arrival there were none, not even a kettle in the kitchenette. I asked at reception and they said it was not included in our room. I showed them the literature and they sent up a kettle, two tea bags and two little milk, no coffee, so only able to have one cup of tea during our stay.
Horrible services for an Airport "business" hotel!
1. Hotel has 2 restaurants, plus the breakfast room. Restaurants are only open a few hours a day, and the breakfast buffet was EMPTY when we arrived at 8am. We arrived at 2pm, and had to wait until 7:30pm to be able to get anything to eat. Even room service doesn't open the early evening! 2. Gave us the wrong room at first (paid for Queen suite, got 2 singles), but corrected it after. 3. Internet access is very spotty. They had to give us 3 different access codes to use, which would only occasionally work. 4. Television system wasn't working in our room. Supposed to be a MOVIES option, which wouldn't come up on our TV, and the front desk staff gave up and said "there's nothing we can do about it today". And this was a Monday. Definitely SKIP this hotel and stay at the Mercure instead. This hotel is no where NEAR a 4-star. 3-star at best.
near airport
What a mixed experience! Couldn't turn on the AC,found out they had switched to heat only a day before we got there. Had the window open as long as we could. Couldn't connect to wifi with the code they gave me, the reception got an IT specialist to talk to me and he fixed it for me. Tried to order from Room Service menu but the menu had completely changed and had to go down to the restaurant to order, food arrived freezing cold and wasn't very good. Was quite expensive for what we got. Had a very nice massage from the spa. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. For us the most important feature was location near airport.
Convenient to the airport.
Our room was fine. there was a problem in the restaurant and our selection was limited.
Excellent quality hotel with equally excellent restaurant.
great location
Staff on reception very friendly. Love the kitchenette. Gives you the chance to relax and have a drink after driving from Salamanca. Our third time stay here. Will be back again
Suprisingly Good Airport Hotel
Very conveniently located to the Bordeaux, France airport; hotel arranged taxi service for a very early morning flight. Room was suprisingly big (a sofa plus a kitchen) and quite comfortable. Amenities were minimal (only one towel for two people, for example, and no shampoo or other items) but it was clean and quiet, the price was right, and exactly what we needed.
Just what we needed
Our group of 4 couples booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. We were able to drop our rental cars at the airport on Sunday afternoon, call the hotel shuttle for a prompt ride back to the hotel, enjoy a decent supper at the hotel restaurant, arrange for a 4:00 am taxi to the airport (20 euros per taxi), and catch our 6:00 am flight. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. No problems at all.
More like a 2 star in need of repairs
Supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Not even close- despite a room service menu in the room stating service until midnight, at 10:45 "nobody was available" to bring even simple food/drinks up. Cheap lumpy beds. Furniture in disrepair, hallways as well. Depressing and did not offer services advertised.
Ok for business travel but rooms smell of smoking
Good business hotel but as a non smoker I hate the smell of smoke in rooms. All rooms are supposed to be non smoking but I tried 2 different ones and they both stank of cig smoke. the Hotel should do the same as the hotels in the USA and fine occupants for smoking. Reception staff need training on customer service. Receptionist uninterrupted my check in to answer a phone and I had to stand there 5 minutes while she dealt with it. Mediocre service in cafe as well.
Very good rooms - not too well maintained
Overall very happywith the hotel. Maintenance seemed to be a slight problem. WiFi didn't work, dishwasher sliding draw jammed, air conditioning noise couldn't be turned off even in the 'off' position, hot plate switches in the wrong position etc.
Excellent for airport
Only disappointment was no in room tea/coffee making facilities.
Good for Early Morning Flights out of Bordeaux
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The service was great and they made arrangements for dinner and for an early morning taxi to the airport (on Sunday). I really liked that the room had two sets of double plane glass windows that both opened. The room also had a door that separated the bathroom area and door to the hotel room from the main sleeping area. I was able to open the windows to have fresh air but also close up everything for a quiet night. The only negative was that the hotel shuttle from the airport was not operating on Saturday afternoon when I arrived at the airport. I ended up having to take a city bus for a couple of blocks and then walk a few more in 100 degree weather with my luggage along a very busy road with no sidewalk. They had one restaurant open Saturday night which was pricy but it had good food and the service was excellent.
Not what's advertised
We stayed on saturday night before our flight home to finish off the holiday we had in Arcachon, and were quite disappointed as the hotel's bar and bistro were closed throughout the weekend and this was not indicated at the time of booking, so there was no where to get a meal or drink unless you used the vending machine. The pool was closed and this was also not indicated at the time of booking. There was a restaurant which opened at 7pm. We used the spa facilities which just consisted of a pool and steam room, no drinks were offered in there either. Every spa I have been to has always provided water, fruit and herbal teas to ensure guests are re hydrated after using the facilities. There was only 1 robe provided in the bedroom, I rang reception to request the second for my partner, the receptionist rang back and told me to ask at the spa reception and they would supply me with 1. When we requested this at the spa we were made to feel that we had 2 in the room and that we had stolen one!
convenient to airport and clean
I booked this hotel as it was close to the airport and it was fine for the purpose and the price was good. I would stay there again for the same reasons.
Comfcortable & convenient stay
Very convenient for Bordeaux Airport. The rooms was a good size - 2 parents & teenage child staying in room and it did not feel cramped - was even ok when sofa bed was folded down. Very friendly & helpful & good meal in bistro. Only slight flaw and why it doesn't get 5 stars - we arrived on Sunday and parts of the hotel were closed e.g. the bar where snacks were meant to be available. There is nowhere else to go in local vicinity. Overall though excellent stay and served our purpose well.
Quality Suites Bordeaux Mérignac Aéroport & Spa
We stayed at this airport hotel for one night recently and found the staff to be available and helpful in both French and English, and the room spacious and relatively comfortable, with a large leather sofa. A tiny kitchen was provided, with a hotplate and microwave and some dishes. Unfortunately, there were no cups to be found. However, we were most pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Winch bar foods in the bar downstairs. A local bus stops very nearby and can take you to downtown Bordeaux in about 45 minutes. Very well located for quick early morning getaways to Merignac airport. This is not a fancy hotel but quite nice, and we would stay there again.
Quality Suites Bordeaux Merignac Aero/Spa - Best!!
This hotel is in a great location, it is elegant, quiet, and has efficient front desk personnel. Internet access was great on my iphone. The Spa is fantastic and located within the hotel. The entire stay was flawless. One of my best experiences ever. Front desk ensured my taxi arrived at 4:30 a.m. to deliver me to the airport.
airconditioning ?
The air-conditioning was fixed at a relatively high level - so the room never cooled down. Leaving the room the air-conditioning will stop. The first room offered was awfully smelling from old smoke.
very good
hotel was fine but not much to do to pass time. There could have been also more TV channel, especially sports channels

Good. But Not walkable from the Airport in 15mins
Good hotel. Close to the airport - NOT A WALK. Need to get the tram or a taxi. There are closer hotels. Rooms were fine. Beds comfortable and breakfast was good, plenty of options. The hotel is looking a little tired in decor and room specification.
